Nice and very reasonably priced hotel. My only complaint is the $45 charge for an overnight parking. There is no self parking even though there is a huge parking lot on the property usually holding a dozen or so cars. This is not a high volume or downtown area where parking should cost 1/2 or 1/3 of the room charge and there's no reason at all that there can't be self parking in the lot.

Everything was great but just be prepared for valet. It’s a sticker shock at $50 a night with no self parking options. That’s dinner for one for just parking. The worse part, valet parks your car right in front of you, just feet away.

The Warwick Melrose is a fabulous place to stay! We especially enjoyed the pool and the bar, The Library! An additional perk was the shuttle to nearby restaurants and the piano bar! Chris, our driver, was very friendly and always ready with a smile! Lovely trip!

I adore this hotel. I’ve been staying here for years. So cozy and comfortable. Staff is always so friendly and professional. Feels like home away from home. Lots of amenities too. Best bar, great food. Nice spa! What more could you ask for.

Hotel is on the flight path from LUV field, wasn’t a problem for me, not tremendously loud but it’s worth noting. Very comfortable bed. Nice restaurant in the hotel. Didn’t use the pool area but it looked immaculate. My only real issue was the shuttle service they offer, they stranded us for about 40 minutes, and street 3 calls to the front desk i was told the driver didn’t see us…we were standing on the sidewalk the entire time, they never drove by. The apology felt more like a “sorry, not sorry”. I would not trust that service. Cost me $30 to Uber back to the hotel.

Historic building in a great area close to restaurants, bars and arts district. Easy to forgo the car and Uber or walk. Deluxe room was large and very comfortable. Wedding venue was lovely. The Library bar is lively and fun. Only “issue” is a bit of plane noise from Love Field…can’t really remedy that!

I needed to refrigerate something and had to request a key for the minibar in our room. Fridge was broken, not cooling and dirty. I reported it, was told it would be fixed while we were at dinner. It wasn’t and no one checked back with us on it. Service level of staff was inconsistent between team members.

Everyone was so accommodating at the front desk, however, the cleanliness of the room I stayed in was unacceptable; the work desk had stains on it, there were dirty coffee cups on the table, and the complimentary lotion on the vanity was used.

The hotel esthetically was pleasing. The cleanliness is lacking, our tables, mirrors and countertops in our room was dirty when we arrived. We stayed 4 nights, not once were our towels refreshed and in the ice machine room all 5 days there were trays with old food on the left in the floor. Smelled pretty bad. Valet is also expensive at $48 a night.

Overall the stay was ok. There was a lack of attention to detail. The office chair the room was dirty with crumbs, a plate was left outside the door from the prior guest and not removed for 12 hours. The rooms were big, the bathroom was updated but shower pressure was low.

The place is grand and beautiful. Rooms were spacious. Personally I found it too noisy with road noise and the A/C but not everyone would be bothered by that. Two things I didn’t like; one, I got a massively stuffy nose from sitting on the sofa and couldn’t breathe the whole day. Then the next day, I realised it starting again and made the connection to the sofa. Because we had been travelling for medical reasons, we were spending more time in the room to rest, so not being able to use the sofa was inconvenient. Secondly; the pool. We went down Saturday afternoon and there were used towels lying around everywhere and empty drinking cups and not staff around cleaning it up. This was not to the same standards as the hotel. Staff were always friendly. The restaurant had good food and overall we enjoyed our stay. Convenient location and nice Mexican eatery next door.

Wife and I stayed in a suite for 2 nights. Let me say, the hotel is beautiful. The aesthetics are well maintained. Our suite had a large living room and nice size bedroom. The bathroom was clean, large and very nice. Now the bad…..Our suite number was 401. Upon opening the door, we could hear the loud a/c units. When I say loud, I mean LOUD. We asked to be moved. They moved us to 419. But first I checked it out before moving our stuff. 419 had loud a/c’s as well. Not quite as loud. In 401, one a/c unit was in the hall outside of the bedroom, the other in the living room. In 419, one of the a/c units was IN the master bedroom…ugh! So we decided to stay in 401, because the a/c unit being in the hall, we could shut the master bedroom door. No one ever came to see why the units were so loud. That tells me, they know these units are loud. And they can’t afford to change them to newer units, or just don’t care. When I say loud, they also vibrate the walls enough to feel it in the shower! Note to management, don’t respond with the usual, “ we take your comments seriously and have notified the appropriate staff”. Instead of using a repetitive response. Take the time to make changes. The hotel is old, that doesn’t mean the a/c’’s need to stay old. They have no historical value.

This is an older property which comes with pros and cons. Older ac units are a little noisy in the rooms. No water bottles in the room, I've not stayed in a hotel in years that do not supply water as complimentary standard. We could hear road noise and teh church bells from the room. The $45 for vallet parking is egregious as there is no self park and the area surrounding the hotel is a little sketchy and I would not feel comfortable waking around the surrounding areas on my own. The hotel bar looked like a nice spot for a drink but we didn't use this. The lobby seemed to have nice vibes and they did let us stay an extra hour in the morning before checking out. Any longer than that would have incurred another $50 charge. It was an OK stay but nothing special for Dallas.

This is my favorite hotel in the Dallas area. It's a historical hotel in a great location, and everything about it is excellent. The rooms are HUGE by normal hotel standards, and each room is maintained to the highest standards. The bar scene is one of the best (even with the locals!), offering live entertainment and excellent cocktails. And the staff is professional and welcoming, without being stuffy. I love everything about this hotel and will continue to frequent it.

A beautiful older property with the most comfortable beds and pillows! Everyone is pleasant and the location is perfect for walking to restaurants, shops and clubs. Valet is always fast. There’s usually noise from the local fire dept and the in-house breakfast is a little high.

I liked the property all around, but this property is not sound proof. You here everything. We heard airplanes, people talking, a worker with a blower, and even the neighbors in the next rooms dispersing the toilet paper from the wall. All of this from 5am and on.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed, well appointed. My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower. It was not good. Hard to stay warm while trying to wash your hair. That’s a big negative for me.

I'm really unimpressed by my stay here; I was told this was a higher level hotel but my four nights here indicate otherwise. The mini bar in my hotel room was "broken" with black mold growing in it. They brought this HUMONGOUS refrigerator up from what I can only assume was the basement. It looked like it might live in a basement; anyway, that worked fine. My biggest issue was that when you needed anything it was this massive inconvenience to even remotely get assistance. We (the public) pay "premium" prices for that level of service, which is not happening at this hotel. When I checked out this morning I called down for a bellman to come get my baggage, as I'm disabled and can't lift or move heavy things. No one came. When I called down, the front desk person said she couldn't help because everyone was at the valet stand and "busy" and she couldn't leave the desk. I asked if she was saying I would need to get my own bags (as I had an appointment downtown and needed to leave within the 1/2 hour) and she said she couldn't do anything to help. I had to leave my room, go find a luggage cart, and move my luggage down to valet. Then I get down to valet and there is a guy just standing there holding my key, ready for me to leave and .... by then ... happy to help me with my luggage. Lack of management? Lack of instruction? I don't know, but I won't be returning to find out.

All was nice except front desk was not of help. I asked for decaf in room and a fan. Neither arrived at all after I asked twice. The. I went down and said the hotel had no decaffeinated coffee at all. Had ran out. Fan never showed at all.

This hotel is unbelievable! We stayed for our anniversary and my stomach ended up not feeling too great. The kitchen staff made me a custom meal and delivered it to our room! Top notch service.

This was a trip for my brother and sister in law for their baby moon. I did not want any stress on them so I made sure to call 4 days before and put my card on file. I signed a form and everything. Whoever the lady was working the front desk on Friday was very argumentative with them. I’m not sure why it did not show my card but her attitude did not make things easier. Other than that they said they had a good time.

This hotel is a landmark hotel that has been there for years. It's in great condition, large rooms, comfy beds, nice pillows, very clean and super helpful staff. The only downside it is that it's extremely noisy with thin glass windows. It is located on 2 very busy streets with a main light intersection. The fire hall is on one of the streets and it's also on the flight path so planes are going all day & night. Bring earplugs

The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located. They offer shuttle service within 3 miles of the hotel. The only downside is that there is a fire truck sub station across the street so the sirens went all night. If you are a light sleeper, this isn’t the hotel for you.

Very friendly. Easy check in. Loved the bar with nightly music. Good location. The roasted tomato soup was amazing! There is a $20 daily fee as well as a parking fee. Just to know that there is a handicap space or two in front of where the valet parking is that is free if you can snag it. I would definitely go back.

Went here for R & R with my wife to recover after her mother passed a few weeks prior. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. We planned to spend alot of time by pool but it was closed early twice while we were there. One time with warning the other time no warning. We also chose this hotel to have the prime rib dinner in hotel restaurant The restaurant was closed for private function, there was no warning of this either, had there been we would have gone night before. When I asked the manager (Anna) if we could have prime rib served in bar restaurant she said no and was defensive about the situation This bothered me the most, a good hotel manger would have tried to solve problem, the bar shared kitchen with restaurant. I think a little imagination and talking to staff could have accommodated us. Finally the pillows in Hotel are terrible for sleeping IMO. They are tall and lumpy, good if you are a back sleeper not side sleeper. When I asked for better pillows I received more of the same. I had 7 pillows in room and they all had synthetic fiber lumps, I think they were washed and dried improperly. We came here to be pampered. We will now look to other hotels in Dallas BTW Front of house and bar staff where very nice

My recent experience at The Melrose was excellent. The hotel is elegant and is situated in the prettiest part of Dallas. The price point was a great value. Friendly staff. There are many diverse restaurant options within walking distance. But my room service breakfast was one of the best ever.

The hotel is charming, but unfortunately very dated. The food in both the bar and restaurant is terrible! The beds do not have quality mattresses or bedding. Drapes, sheets , etc are very cheap. Walls are thin and consequently, you hear everything … NOISY! This hotel needs to up their game. Valet was exceptional I will say… great service!
