Easy check in and check out. Super friendly staff. Pull right up to your door to unload/load car. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, loved the in-room amenities. Also made use of the outdoor lit gazebos. Gas, shopping, entertainment, eating places all convenient (dollar store across the street if you forgot something). Strasburg Railroad nearby too. Have stayed before and will stay here when we visit the area.

Nothing fancy, just clean and functional. Fancy just adds to the cost. This was perfect for me and my personality. Even sat on the bench outside my room and visited with my ‘neighbors’.

We had an awesome time as Ryan made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we needed. I am looking forward to seeing all the new plantings as they grow. we enjoyed our coffee in the pergola and watched the Amish harvest their crops with a large team of horses.

Nice older hotel. We were only here overnight but would be good for a longer stay. Nice outside sitting area with a gazebo. Medium sized fridge with functional freezer. A mirror with good lighting to apply makeup which I have found very few to have, even in high end hotels. Lots of restaurants nearby.

The hotel had a smell when you walked into the office. The office personnel was friendly and I asked to see the room. It was okay, but like someone else said in their review, it is a motel. The sink was dirty and the bathroom had a terrible smell. We went ahead and stayed because I was unable to change my reservation due to third party booking. The motel was full. We left at 3:00 a.m. and it looked like every room was booked so..... it was okay but we will choose a different location next time.

I hate to report this because we have stayed at this property several times and always found it neat and clean. This time however the carpet was absolutely filthy ! Our feet were black and comfortable after taking our shower and walk barefoot on the carpet. The best part of this property is that the sheets and towels are a higher quality. The outside needs some cleaning and attention.

This place is CLEAN - so many places, all you have to do is walk across the floor once in socks, to notice see the black dirt. But this place passes the 'white sock' test. People are friendly, too...

For the price of 158 a night I guess it was ok. Bathroom flor was dirty. Beds were comfortable enough but the plastic under the sheets made the bed hot and the sheets were super thin! The room also had a funky smell. We bought a candle to defuse the smell.

No hot water no matter what time of day or night. Musty smell in room even Febreeze couldn't get rid of. Air conitioner filter was caked in crude and looks like it wasn't cleaned in months/years. Microwave didnt work and its door had to be left open since its fan - which was loud - just kept on running. Poor lighting - lowest wattage bulbs used.

Very nice staff/owners. Happy to assist if you need anything. Continental breakfast was all carbs, no protein. Room was musty smelling. Comfortable mattress and clean bedding. Had to leave window open while we weren't in the room. Stained carpet, I think someone snuck in a pet and they peed. I personally cleaned the filters in the ac/heat unit as they full and gross. Don't recommend for people with allergies. Again, very nice staff and hotel looks nice from outside but rooms need detail cleaning and attention.

This was my first stay at the weathervane motor lodge. The manager was pleasant and very accommodating. The room was extremely clean and well maintained. We had a minor incident during our stay and the manager responded quickly and efficiently. Would definitely stay here again

Although our stay was fine and the room was clean, the room was showing signs of wear and needed some sprucing up. The internet was terrible - super slow- pages wouldn't load, etc. I don't know why this hotel is rated 9.0, I would give it an 8.0. The grounds are lovely and it is in a convenient location, however.

The television was unwatchable. The room was cleaned but very outdated. We didnt end up staying and took the loss. Disappointing to say the least. Staff apologized for the TV but said they couldnt do anything because the room was booked through Expedia, that didnt make a lot of sense but guess they would rather take a poor review. Lesson learned.

Property is quite aged, but is taken care of. Could use a little sprucing up; however, clean & reasonable rate for a couple of nights in Amish country. Early morning traffic from nearby highway makes it impossible to sleep passed 5am. Need ear plugs.

We arrived to be told they have our reservation thru hotels.com but they were never paid. We were suppose to pay them again even though I had a receipt on my phone. They said we would have to contact hotels.com to recieve our refund. Then on top of all of that they said hotels.com quoted us the wrong price and it would also be 73 dollars more than what we had paid. It was a holiday weekend and we had just drove 16 hours. We didn't have a whole lot of choice. As far as I am concerned these people ar nothing but crooks. Then on top of all of that it took me about an hour to finally get my refund from hotels.com as no matter how you contact them you never get to talk to a human being. Never again hotels.com or Weathervane motel.

Great motel, clean and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Had a problem with the wifi, but I called the office and they rebooted the router, and called back to confirm I was able to connect. Everyone were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again when we're in the area.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a large group of 53 people, utilizing 27 rooms. The service and friendliness of the staff was excellent! They were all eager to help and ensure everything was good for us! We liked how inviting and quiet the area was. There were several places to sit and socialize for our group. Also, several enjoyed the circle to walk both in the evening and in the morning. All rooms are on ground level which worked well as our group had several elderly people. All of us felt very safe both walking outside and in our rooms. Room entrance was from the outside and worked out perfect for our group for unloading and loading the bus.

I was in Lancaster for my daughter’s dance competition and stayed at the Weathervane for one night. It was clean and fit the bill. Nice sink/vanity area outside the bathroom for her to get ready. Deo was super accommodating when I called and asked about late check in as awards were ending after 10 pm. Texted me the room number, where to get key and that I could officially checkin the next morning. After a very long day the service was very much appreciated. It’s definitely a throwback but clean and comfortable without all the bells and whistles and the price that goes with them. Appreciated the microwave and really nice fridge for all our dance snacks and water. Breakfast allowed us to grab some fruit and pastry on the run. Suggest adding decaf coffee 😉 It was quiet despite being full. Would definitely stay again. Had to take a picture of the DnD hanger!

They wanted to know what time I would be checking in. I was in a conference and didn't know exactly when I would be checking in. The Smoke detector was beeping. I gave it to the front desk and it was not reinstalled in my room the whole week. I notice that the smoke detector in the office was also beeping. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, coffee or tea and bread for toast or bagels. The rooms are nice but the walls are a bit thin. Good stay over all.

This property has the most lovely staff. They have the best service of an hotel I've been to. Friendly accommodating staff. Clean. The breakfast has no protein, it's just bread, cereal, bagels and fruits. Overall, the service makes you want to go back.

The hotel is just a simple no frills place. Easy parking and quiet. It would have been nice to have more than 2 towels and a coffee pot in the room. Also could use an iron and ironing board. They have a free breakfast however the coffee was very weak so we had to go get some elsewhere. Overall it was a nice stay though.

The staff were super and the rooms were clean. The continental breakfast was great,with lots of choices. The sit down area in the breakfast room was very small but it was as big as it could be. The facility was old but kept up well. They still used keys for the locks but that was actually a good thing. Key cards can be a real pain. I actually felt more secure because I could lock the door knob and the deadbolt.

This was our second stay at Weathervane Motor Court, our go-to-place when we visit Ronks & the Sight & Sound Theater. The room was nicely furnished, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was a B+, very adequate...coffee was exceptionally good. We'll be back!
