There was a construction going on during my stay. I was not aware at the booking time. The construction area was not separated by a construction curtain or something, getting out of the elevator was disastrous, we encounter with furniture, paint and mess all over, it was so bad for the name of the hotel. The chemical smell (of paint or something else) was overwhelming. The laundry room was dirty. The cleanliness of the restroom was below the standards. The breakfast was fine with waffles that my kids enjoyed. The front desk was friendly.

Definitely my "go to" hotel going forward, however, 2 issues: the elevators had a bad smell and the toilet, at times, wouldn't flush. My sister had to request a plunger.

I want my money back asap . The noise from the laundry room made my stay absolutely miserable. If I could give this 0 stars I would please never stay on the 3rd floor near the laundry room because you won’t get any sleep

The first floor was under construction which wouldn’t be an issue but there was no notice or heads up. Fitness Center wasn’t open due to that. Floors were extremely dirty. Construction crew was smoking right outside exits so the smell was coming and the laundry room remained open. In turn, all bedding in our room smelt like smoke.

The entire hotel from the elevator to the room smelled of cat urine we literally walked in opened or door and chose to leave. The front desk person was kind and understanding.

The bathroom was not cleaned up the tub had rings and dirts in it hairs on the tub toilet and floor! I checked out early and they still charge me for the night I didn’t use!

Walked into the room, the receptionist was not very friendly at all. Snappy attitude. Was finally sent to my room which had the strongest smell of mildew i have ever smelled and it was overwhelming. She sprayed some air freshener but of course, it was a 10 minute fix. The smell was right back afterwards. She apologized- but that didnt help. These rooms should not be rented out to anyone. This is very toxic for Someone with asthma.

They have been remodeling. When I went in May they were working on the rooms upstairs and the room was not that great and I left a review and someone did get in contact with me regarding that. So I reserved a room again thinking it would be better. The room was clean but the upgrade to the rooms were not good. The room seemed to dark, there is no longer a reading lamp, the bathroom had no hooks to hang clothes or towels from, there was no place to sit clean clothes to change into after shower. There was not enough counter space to put toiletries and the counter had a piece of wood torn off and there were large wood splinters sticking out. Also upon arrival and the next day the floors were filthy. I understand there is going to be some dirt but this was late at night when we got there and no one working on anything at that hour. The next day the floors were still a filthy mess. There was no reason the areas couldn’t have been cleaned up when the workers were finished for the day. I have stayed at this hotel every time I have come to Sumter but I don’t think I will book there anymore. The last few times the hotel has declined. The staff were all accommodating though and pleasant.

It was nice and clean. I didn't love that breakfast was stopped by 9 the one in N. Myrtle was 10, but that's not a big deal. Everyone was kind and hospitable. The internet wasn't strong enough to use the tv or the xbox. The cable kept bringing up a weak connection message, again not a big deal. Overall great stay.

This room had a very pungent odor. It smelled like citrus mixed with a dirty mop that has not been cleaned! Thank goodness we only used this hotel as a resting stop driving from Florida back to PA. There also seemed to have been a drainage issue as the water would back up in the sink and also shower. The hotel definitely seems like it hasnt had an update in a very long time.The only good thing about it was the breakfast which had a pretty good selection of options. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quality stay.

The front desk lady had her knickers in a bunch when we checked in. The first man elderly, she lost his credit card. The next four families to check in were a ballteam. She started yelling at kids when they walked in. She continued to fuss about them three separate times. I will correct my child when he needs it. The children did nothing to warrent her attitude.

The property was perfect for visiting at Shaw Air Force Base. Easy parking and close to restaurants and stores. The property could, however, use some updating. It looks like it's been a while since being renovated, staff was friendly & helpful.
