SureStay Plus by Best Western San Antonio Fiesta Inn

The stay was great. Nice room, clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was fine and dining area was very well maintained. We enjoyed the large clean pool. Wish there was a hot tub though. Parking was adequate but there is a lot of traffic, and it can take time to get back out on the highway as it's a frontage road next to the freeway. That said if we travel to this area again, we would definitely stay here again. Lots of restaurants' close by too.

They should not be open!!! The elevator is inoperable because they DO NOT HAVE A PERMIT from the city, state, county!

Great stay. Close to many restaurants and options. Also HEB by for getting supplies fro refrigerator and microwave you have in the room. Easy access to many visiting sites. Free breakfast and good looking and maintain pool.

The pool was marvelous and the rooms were great. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathtub water took forever to go down. Other than that it was great.

Although this property was quite old, it was kept up very nicely. Good front desk clerk. Very clean room. Nice towels! Beautiful pool area.

The staff was very welcoming and the beds and pillows were great not to mention an amazing swimming pool.

Run down DIRTY. 1st room had pubic hair in bed and FECES/POOP smeared on the outside bowl of toilet. Got another room but only improvement was no poop. I think. Lol. No pool maintenance, lots of bugs and leaves etc. Very dirty elevator. Even gave me a used and dirty sleeve for my key cards at check in...DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Its a 50$ per night motel experience that I paid double for on a Discount site.

Dirty floor, broken stuff not taken care of, mold on the wall, hair and private part hair on in the tub. Extremely dirty tub. Nasty bed. Broken and dirty toilet.I would give a negative comment if possible. Saw a bug in the room and scared my little kid. Very disappointed that this was a best western plus. It was no where near the quality of other best westerns.

The staff was nice, and for that I feel a little bad writing this review, but it is the truth. I have no idea how this hotel could be rated as very good on Expedia. The only good feature was the pool and it was ice cold and hadn’t been cleaned in a while. My kids fished out the bugs with a net. LOL. The room was not clean and I was highly concerned there were probably bed bugs. I removed the old blanket and sanitized the sheets myself. The shower had mildew and hair on the wall. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned. The carpet is very old and gross. The tv remote didn’t work. I was told by the front desk to stand and manually change the channel. No sidewalks outside so you can not walk anywhere as the hotel is right next to the freeway. Breakfast extremely limited. Microwaved sausage and eggs. 7-9am only. The maids and staff seem to enter rooms freely. As if all of that wasn’t enough there was a pre scheduled entire hotel power outage from 9am-2pm which we were not informed off until our arrival from out of town and not offered any sort of a refund. Would not recommend.

Sadly, our stay was not what we hoped for. While the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, the room itself was in poor condition. The bathroom had mold, there was no soap or shampoo, and the shower head barely worked. The towels provided were terrible—thin, old, and honestly worse than wash rags. They didn’t feel clean at all, which was really disappointing. For the price, we expected a much higher standard. Hopefully, they take this feedback seriously and make improvements.

The property appearance is filthy. Room is hot stuffy. Check in was ok. Hair in tub. Tried taking a shower but within a few minutes tub was holding water with plug wide open. Toilet with pink black line. Unsavory looking men hanging out in parking lot. Just get gross!

Although this was close to the theme park we were visiting, it is not something I will go back to. The bathroom was very dirty from the toilet to the mold in the bathtub and on the walls. We did not use it at all! The blinds by the door were broke which means people could look into our room. Also the gate was down which we were unable to park in front of our room. The breakfast was just okay. Basic stuff.

Everything was nice. It is by the highway but I took a room in the back of the building and it was one of the quietest rooms I’ve ever had.

Room was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Only downside was not too much options on the breakfast, but it alright

Room was clean and looked professional. Strong water pressure. No allergens. Had fridge, hair dryer, shampoo & conditioner, alarm clock, TV (thought didn't turn on), ice machine nearby, free fresh continental breakfast 7am to 9am, no crackheads or thieves in or around; highways across the street; quiet; clean bedding; strong AC; felt safe. Great value! Would def stay here again!

Room condition was great … breakfast was good compared to the hotel price … location good … only one issue we faced - the AC was not working properly .. it was very cold on december end and the heater was not working properly …

The rooms were really dark and outdated. The carpet was stained. The beds were uncomfortable with very thin linen. The first room I had the key wouldn't work, the sink was broke and the shower had no hot water. They did switch me over to another room, but that room had light fixture that didn't function and the TV remote didn't work (the carpet was even more stained). This hotel is definitely in need of maintenance and remodel.

The customer service is excellent as is the location. The room and the building itself are not. First of all, let's call it what it is, a MOTEL. Not a hotel. Google the difference between the two. That makes it feel pretty sketchy. We stayed there with our kids and I was worried about the large window facing the parking lot on the first floor. As for the second floor, well, it's a Motel, so there are no elevators either. The guest seemed to all be families staying there to go to Fiesta Texas, so that was comforting. The tub was old and worn out, so we opted not to use it. Our daughter found a small cockroach in bathroom too, but it was not as scary as the flying cockroach that flew towards my wife outside the night we check in! Breakfast was decent, but it's a very small area and it was a busy time, so overly crowded.

One week night stay. Stay was what we expected. However, First room was hot as air was not turned on. We ended up changing rooms as at over 100 degree temps, I didn’t think room would ever cool enough. 2nd room was good. We really just slept and didn’t spend much time in the room.

Everything was great and staff nice, however I was required to put down a $100 cash deposit and I noticed other stayers were not. Not sure why I was chosen to… Was it because I booked through a travel site?? Who knows.

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. It was easy to check in and he was very helpful. And make sure that we knew everything and where everything was at.

3 night stay while in town. Can’t complain too much because the price was great. Only complaint is that upon check in there was a $150 incidental fee added to my card. Lady said it would fall off within an hour upon check out. Once we checked out the guy at front desk said it would be 3-4 days.

I didn't like the staff manners, behaviors. And they request a 100 dollars deposit which is not common and it didn't inform while doing the reservation. For these two reasons I will not come back again.

Really nice people running the place and the hotel was very clean, proper for business or other travel. If needing a hotel in this area in the future, I would stay here again. And the price was fantastic.

The manager was insanely rude. Hotels.com messed up my booking and didn’t book it in their system but he could see it in the back in and rather than just take care of it for me he called and got nasty with hotels.com and then proceeded to turn on me and chew me out about how I should never book through a third party and always do the hotel a favor and book direct after it took me 45 minutes to check in and I was late to where I was going. It wasn’t until my husband came in to see what the heck was going on that the manager took a different tune. I really don’t appreciate when people whose culture don’t show women the same respect they do men are left to be in customer service positions and the company doesn’t hold them accountable to be respectful. Best Western is also getting contacted directly because his behavior wasn’t acceptable.

Very convenient. Near an HEB, Starbucks, 2 miles from La Cantera Mall which was a plus!! Highly recommend if your wanting a hotel near La Cantera Mall!!!

Good area to stay in. Hotel was nothing fancy, but enough. Staff was very friendly and beds were comfy. AC worked great and pool was nice. Getting out of the parking lot to the interstate is difficult because of construction but overall would stay here again.

Breakfast was very small

I could not believe how dusty the night stand was nor the top of tv. If anything had wood on it it was dusty. A channel guide for the TV would have been nice since I had no clue what news channel were for SAT. Now let's go to the breakfast, the scrambled eggs were cold along with the sausage. The coffee machine wasn't working on all choices. I was hoping for a nice hot breakfast.

The scrambled eggs were very dry, there was no bread for the 20+ minutes we were sitting there eating. It was only as we were finishing our food that bread was put out. there were also no biscuits either. Very little selection.

Rooms cleanliness could be better, i.e. air conditioner and bed headboards, but was clean enough overall. Pool was clear, but filled with tree leaves. Area felt safe and quiet. Many restaurants and shopping centers were close by. Host staff was super friendly and thorough with service. Breakfast was great! Overall, it was a good choice to stay at this place. I recommend it.

Hotel has seen better days. Not much of a selection at breakfast. Cost of room and location main reason picked this hotel. Staff friendly and met our needs.

We went through 3 rooms before we found one that the door worked and didn’t smell like smoke. The ice machine was broken. Breakfast was dismal, where most hotels have an assortment of bagels, muffins etc. they had white bread and wheat bread. The coffee cups did not have lids that fit. It took me two lids to figure that out.
