The location was great, and the hotel was comfortable. The worst thing was the cost of valet parking. They advertise valet parking at $59 per day, but it was actually $ $96 per day. The itemized bill posted valet parking ay $59 plus a "Destination fee" of $25, a sales tax of $4.87 on the cost of the $59, then state, local and county taxes of $6.19. Totally misleading and deceptive advertising. If I had known this, I would have used the public garage parking across the street.

I like the fact that it was centrally located in a good area on the Riverwalk. But their pool is freezing cold. They say they heat it, but it must only be 70°. When a pool is heated… It is 87 or 89°. Also, there are no hot tubs. For the price you pay there should be a heated pool and a hot tub.

We booked this hotel for the river that came into the lobby. It was under construction on arrival so the river feature was closed and there was heavy masonry construction going on in the main lobby the entire stay with saws and drills. Aside from the ear shattering noise throughout the hotel from 8-4 everyday it was a nice place and convenient to everything on the riverwalk.

Overall our experience was very good. The room and the hotel were both lovely. Our view was wonderful! The downsides: 1. Cleaning service didn’t always leave wash cloths. I usually was able to get some but one time I was told there were none available. 2. The rugs in the room didn’t look clean to me and I detected a faint pet odor. 3. We were there at a very busy time and the elevators were super crowded. We had to wait upwards to 10 minutes to catch one to or from our room at times. We were on the 8th floor so stairs weren’t an option. 4. We paid for the valet service. On Sunday morning it was a madhouse with people checking out. We weren’t. We were just trying to leave to meet family at a restaurant. We waited 40 minutes for our car and finally just asked for our keys and went and got it ourselves. 20 minutes of that wait was standing in line just to speak to the valet mgr. to ask for our keys! All that said, the hotel was very nice. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The valet staff was excellent as well. I don’t blame them for the long wait, I just think they were understaffed for a very busy time.

Vacation stay. Didn’t find out until I arrived that the pool was closed and a significant portion of the hotel was undergoing renovations. I had really hoped to spend some time lounging by the pool!

Perfect location and very clean and friendly. The only thing I can imagine that would make the property nicer is to have a little tikki bar or snacks readily available at the pool area. The pool was a nice way to cool off in the afternoon.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. Staff was friendly and gave good tips when asked. Food was good. Transportation access was spot on. Beds were comfortable. However, there were a couple of dust bunnies around the bed that did not get picked up prior to our stay.

I gave this hotel, a nine out of 10. It was an easy check-in, hotel was very clean, the beds were very comfortable. But, there was only one coffee cup, and I had to request more from the cleaning ladies. The next day, we had no coffee cups and the cleaning lady said she did not have any coffee cups on her cart either just lids. So we had no coffee on the second and third day in our rooms. Nor did anyone come to clean our rooms.

We had a horrible experience. The A/C was not working properly. Our room would not cool down. When we told the front desk about it, they said they had been having problems with the A/C all week and sent two maintenance men in and they "reset" it at the main computer. It still would not cool down. Then when we complained again, they sent up two stand up fans to our room. I will not be staying here again. For the price of a room there, I need my room cool and comfortable.

We loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk. The location was close to everything we wanted to do/see. The only negative I can say is we had an adjoining room and you could hear everything from the room connecting to ours. We would definitely stay here again though.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The only issue was with the thermostat. The room temperature got to 79 degrees in the middle of the night and I was unable to lower the temperature. The thermostat appeared to be locked. It resolved itself in the morning.

The a/c sucks. The room service was absolutely pathetic. Had to go downstairs to get my own salad dressing after 45 min and 2 calls to the front desk. Had to change rooms as soon as we check in due to the ac not working, phone not working and tv not working. 2nd room had missing hand soap and soap bowl(other room had it). A/c sucked and tech shrugged at us like we are crazy cause it wont go below 71 degrees. Oh and we leave the $45 parking a night garage the hotel key didnt work even after the front desk "updated" my check out. Its right on thr riverwalk so that was nice. Other then that just stay somewhere else.

Great location! Right on the riverwalk. I don’t like the motion activated lights on the sides of the bed, very frustrating when one of my kids gets up in the night and the light turns on. Was hot in the room. Sheets and blankets are soft and comfortable. Staff was amazing, like above and beyond friendly. View from our room of the Alamo was awesome.

Everything was great with one exception, the main bedroom in the suite had the tv on the side wall on the left hand side of the bed which makes no sense , you couldn’t watch a movie or tv without getting a neck cramp.

Decided on a quick trip to get away for the weekend and this hotel did not disappoint. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location is about as good as it gets, Riverwalk on one side and the Alamo on the other. 10/10 would recommend.

Stay was fine. There was confusion regarding free breakfast. Its not really free but more like have a max limit of 20 usd per person. So that should have been mentioned. In the end paid 60 usd per day for breakfast although booked with free breakfast. That left a bitter taste. Hyatt blamed Hotel.com for the confusion. Looks like a recurring problem.

The first day was a nightmare. The front desk staff seemed to have inconsistent and invalid information regarding how to handle the fact that they committed/charged to a type of room online but upon checkin did not have it. They lied and said they only had a King bed available when infact it was a small conference type room with a pullout bed that looked like a twin/full. I had to insist and ask for a rollaway. The two front desk ppl did not seem to care much, almost decentralized to customer care. A manager must have seen on camera the dissatisfaction because he came out and attempted to rectify by providing a credit to the room. I asked if they could be sure the next night that we had the room we purchased online and they said yes, just come here early in the morning. It was late, a holiday, and we missed other plans because of this shortfall, so we just gave up and went to the room. Completely uncomfortable. Unable to sleep in, we woke at 0730 in the morning to make sure we could secure the room we purchased. We asked for a manager and again the young lady at the desk was unwelcoming and unpleasant, a little sarcastic. She proceeded to probe, as if resistant and lacking empathy. I continued to insist and he came out. Given the escalated issue, I'd expect better service from all three of these front desk staff. The only ones professional enough to handle the issue were 1st day managers and one other staff- literally saved face for Hyatt. Many homless patroling area. 😔

Flight was delayed and we Landed at 1 am. Got to hotel at 1:45 am Long check in line and didn’t check in until 2:05 am. They said reservation cancelled at 2 am Even though they had a ton of rooms - they would not give us a room. And we had told the front desk we would be late given flight delays. You must refund!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay. We did choose the Alamo view only to find out there was construction going on across the street and all we could see was scaffolding. Our room wasn’t ready at check in. Which was frustrating too we had to wait almost 2 hours after check in. They did store our bags so we went to the river walk which was fine but by the time we got to our room it was the start of dinner time so the rush and crowds were hoppin’. We ended up have to wait awhile for dinner as most places you have to be in person to reserve a table. Waiting for dinner on hungry stomachs in the heat makes for some grouchy kids. Thankfully the rest of the trip went well… we did enjoy the hotel other than those things listed!

The location was absolutely perfect. We could walk right out the hotel door onto the Riverwalk, which was filled with restaurants, music places to sit a beautiful place to walk shopping pretty much everything. We loved the easy accessibility, and we never took an Uber until we left. It was really lovely.

We were down with friends to enjoy the river walk. Hotel is in a great location and the bartenders were terrific. Only negative was on the hotel credit I was given daily that it didn’t count for breakfast. I was never told that.

Breakfast was not satisfactory. The waiter has issued a bill but I’m not supposed to sign since I’ve already paid for the breakfast. However,that’s not the case .Since I have limit of breakfast which actually didn’t informed to me neither at the check in nor at the breakfast hall.This is ridiculous in my opinion. The hotel is staying at the heart of the Riverwalk and The Alamo is just beside the hotel. My room had a very bad view. Jose is a nice guy at the reception. Pete is also very kind at the breakfast hall.

We loved how nice this hotel was. The only thing that we would change is having a coffee station somewhere. If you don't want coffee in your room, you have to go to the restaurant and in my life I have never had slower service to get a cup of coffee. Then we have to go find the waiter to pay because he never came back.

Excellent. In the heart of the Riverwalk. You can opt to adventure out and experience all that the Riverwalk has to offer or the amenities the Hyatt provides which is just as enjoyable. Live music at the bar/ restaurant every Thursday through Saturday indoors or step outdoors for more live music at the oyster bar and sit on the edge of the Riverwalk. Fabulous time. Highly recommend!
