Everything was very good. The only thing I didnt like is that the pool opens so late. (10am) I'm an early bird. I came down early to have an early breakfast and get a swim and little quiet time around pool at tje coolest part of the day. But it was closed. Ny tje time they opened there were many more people so much for quiet time.

The Direct tv streaming or cable box didn’t work. A maintenance person had to come to our room to fix it. Took about a half hour to fix. I also was unaware of expensive parking. With all the taxes and tourists penalties it was too expensive to stay here anymore. So sad.

Well the hotel has a parking area that requires you to pay $45 a night for self parking. Lastnight after the jelly roll and post Malone concert we came back to the hotel to no parking spots available for its guests after paying the $45 fee, i was told by a parking attendant that the hotel had another parking lot to the rear of from the same company and that i should be fine parking there with the same permit. This morning i received a parking violation from the same company with a fi e of $56 for the night.

Beware, parking at this hotel is a RIP OFF! You have to pay every time you go out, you can end paying more for parking that for the actual dirty room. TRU by Hilton and SpringHill by Marriott are just 300 feet and 500 feet away and they have better parking options. Hotel excuses saying that "we recently changed the parking system" but that's not an excuse, a rip off is a rip off and that is what this dirty hotel does. Think twice before staying here. Besides that, the climate control is a mess. Had to wake up twice at 2 am and 4 am to lower the temperature because you just can't leave it at a certain temperature and expect to stay like that.

Our rooms were great, amazingly quiet even in the middle of downtown right by the freeway, staff was superb, gym was good as was the pool with plenty of towels made available. If there were any room for improvement it would be more elevators…really enjoyed our stay!

The Little Good - Clean room. Walking distance to Riverwalk. The Lot of Bad - Out of 3 elevators, only 2 worked consistently and there was a point where only 1 was working. Lots of elevator waiting. They were also always wet during pool hours, but that is mostly because, for whatever reason, people don't seem to know how to dry off some before getting on the elevator. Not the hotel's fault. The breakfast variety was an issue. Same meat every day (sausage link), only white bread for toast (no bagels, english muffins, etc) and one type of muffin (blueberry). Also, the breakfast area is SEVERELY overcrowded. I was charged a higher rate at checkin that what was quoted on Expedia. The front desk corrected it that day, but the extra was charged to my card again when I checked out. Still waiting on that to get fixed. We'll see. The GIANT Ugly - PARKING! It is a total rip off for mult-day stays. While $34/night for hotels in this location is a little high but not that out of whack, there is no in/out. The way the parking is setup, when you leave the first time in a day, you pay the $34 and get a new ticket when you come back. If you leave more than once, it is $20 each time. You can end up spending more on parking than the room. Also, there is not enough parking for the hotel capacity. I had to park in another garage 4 blocks away on my last night. There are much better options in downtown SA. They might be a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I decided to stay at La Quinta Inn for the third time because I had good experiences in the past. Unfortunately, this last visit was very disappointing. We were informed that, in addition to the daily parking fee, we would also be charged each time we exited and re-entered the lot, which had never happened before. What used to be a hotel we liked for its location, family-friendly atmosphere, and affordability ended up being much more expensive due to the parking situation. Another issue was that after spending the day at SeaWorld, we returned to find no available parking spots. Even though cars were leaving, we were not allowed back in. We’re not from the area and were traveling with kids, so we had to drive around looking for parking, pay extra, and leave our car far from the hotel. If you’re planning to visit San Antonio by car, I highly recommend considering the parking situation before choosing this hotel. Sadly, after this experience, I won’t be staying at La Quinta Inn.

My family was in town for state finals and chose to stay here, it was a nice, clean hotel near the riverwalk. The bar downstairs was great, the bartender was friendly and made amazing drinks. We would definitely return.

Very nice hotel for the price, exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was very dirty and leaking sink. The toilet did not flush properly.the shower was filthy with mold on the walls. The shower curtain was dirty. The room had a mildew smell. The iron also did not work and we our refrigerator did not work. Had I not brought my baby with me I wouldn’t have complained. This hotel had high ratings and I selected it based on that and the close distance to area I needed to go to. With proper cleaning and maintenance I feel this place could be better.

Very disappointed with my stay. The room was dirty — socks from the previous guest were left behind, there was hair on the sink, the toilet wasn’t clean, and even the bed had a stain. Outside the entrance, the trash cans were overflowing, which gave a terrible first impression. Cleanliness should be the most basic standard, and this hotel failed badly. Oh the hotel charged me for parking and when I left the parking area I had to pay Again $37. I contacted the office they’re supposed to get back to me.

Arrived around 10:45. I was greeted by a man at the reception desk. I checked in and he swiped my card for a deposit. He gave us my keys as I was accompanied by a relative and my son. We made out way up to our room. We checked the cleanliness of the hotel room, as soon as we walked into the bathroom the sink had a disgusting old tooth paste stain on there was looked like it had been there for weeks there was also hair in the sink. I was immediately disgusted. We got a shower that was made for a handicapped person. There was no bath tub. The towels they had for us to use to shower and dry off were half the size of regular towels: We proceeded to eat a meal as we had gotten food prior to getting to the hotel and ran into a cockroach. Around 12:30 I received a call from the front desk, as soon as I answered the phone another cockroach came out from the phone. I was so disgusted. The front desk apparently had made a mistake and checked my family into the wrong room. The front desk attendant then told me I might have to go downstairs again to swipe my card. Mind you they had already taken my deposit. At that point I wanted to leave this hotel I was not happy with the service or the room. I will not be staying there EVER AGAIN!

The proximity to the River Walk and the Alamo was very convenient. As my partner and I are accustomed to a king bed, switching to a full size was a bit of a stretch, would have been nice to have queen beds instead. The birds in the area seemed to enjoy perching in the trees out side, and (I'm guessing) it was mating season as they were very noisy, but you can't control nature.

All of the staff were wonderful and accommodate all of our needs. The price was so affordable for a last minute vacation. Breakfast in the morning was really good. Just wish there was bacon in addition to sausage. But everything tastes great. They had a bar that we took advantage of as well. My only thing is the Internet was really spotty.

An elevator was broken, making travel between floors horrible. It would take about 10 minutes to get from your floor to the lobby. Also, the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything. Poor maintenance in the hotel and the staff seemed overwhelmed when they were asked for items.

It was hard for my family to stay. There was no parking by 7PM so you can forget going to dinner besides DoorDash or walking. The elevators always had a line and it would take 3-4 times before we were able to get on the elevator. We were suppose to have a double queen but only had double doubles and so it was highly uncomfortable

Hotel was nice service was nice. Hotel has a smoking / vape detector on the room I nor my partner is a smoker. I was charged $500 smoking fee and was told unless I can prove I wasn’t at the hotel at the time of the said smoking incident there is nothing they will do.

Had early checkin and room was not ready. That was not really the problem. My problem was no one let me know (text or otherwise) so l left a very nice lunch with my wife get back to the hotel by 2:00 to get into a room that was not ready. A text notification would have been nice. We waited at the hotel for an hour and a half. Again its not the fact that things are not on time. It's the failure to communicate that to me.

Hotel is a fantastic location for conventions and the Riverwalk at an affordable price. It was clean and staff pleasant. One thing that could have used a little improvement for our party was the hot breakfast buffet options. They have scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles every morning. While they were done well, there is no variation from day-to-day. It's fine if you are staying only a day or two. Beyond that you are wishing they changed it up a bit. For instance, bacon one day and sausage the next. Also, similar hotels offer potatoes of some kind. Beyond that, this hotel is a thumbs up for me.
