Staybridge Suites San Antonio Airport by IHG

The facility was clean, the staff was very friendly, but I was very upset about some services. I was told that there was a shuttle service to the airport and I signed up for the shuttle and checked twice with the hotel staff to make sure it was confirmed. When I came down to be taken to the airport, I was told by the gentleman at the front desk that it had not been scheduled and this was happening more frequently. I was upset that I might not make my flight.

A gem! One of the nicest hotel we've stayed at! Absolutely the most comfortable bed I've ever had at a hotel. Great steakhouse next door. Clean warm pool, not just for show!

Elevators were getting stuck either floor 8 or lobby floor. Parking was impossible after dawn. Had to walk 5-10 minutes to hotel from where you could park.

Rooms were great, pool was well maintained, staff was very friendly, breakfast was amazing with a changing variety daily.

Staff was great! Property could use some work. I chose the suite (which was a little extra) and the bathroom door did not close properly, and bathroom drain was super slow, and it didn't quite look like it was cleaned properly either.On the plus side, it's right next to North Star Mall. On the not so plus side, there is no airport shuttle despite it being right next to SAT Airport. Not a bad hotel overall, but the price is not right for what is offered.I can't stress enough that the staff was absolutely amazing and I wouldn't mind staying here in a pinch, but the cost is too high for what you get.

We had a great experience at Staybridge. Only issue was one working elevator. The room was clean and very pretty but the beds were a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay here again.

My family and I had a great time staying there this past weekend. Staff was friendly and their breakfast buffet was superb! Comfortable beds and the heated pool was a plus since it was a little cool during our stay. Will definitely be back!

The room was dirty. The dishes had visible dusty on them and needed to be washed prior to use. The room needed maintenance. The doors to the bathroom and bedroom had painted peeled off the doors and needed to be cleaned and repainted. Two of the three elevators were out of order.

Large spacious room. Found a clipped nail on the table and hair on sink but otherwise room was cleaned. The breakfast is pretty good. Parking is a bit of a problem as hotel does not have enough parking and guests have to park in restaurant next to it.

My vehicle got broken into, and there’s nothing they could’ve done to help it Parking is very limited plus you have to pay a parking fee to keep your car secure Even though if it gets full, there’s nothing they can do about it. Don’t recommend it at all.

We had the 1 bedroom suite room, room and bed was comfortable. Down side is that we found a used condom in the closet, bedroom TV wouldnt work, and the smell of pot going inside the room as it is. Bed also had blood stains - they mentioned they would refund deposit but havent releases funds in 7 days after our stay. The front desk person showed concern about our complains but thats it.

Great location. Not clean though. The rooms need more attention. The elevator, floor, and rooms smell. Extremely dusty. Hair on the bathroom floors. If those things are fixed, this would be a great place. Breakfast was awesome.

We’ve stayed in this line of hotels all over the world, but this location was a huge disappointment. From the start, we were switched between three rooms: the first had no working outlets, the second had an unbearable odor, and the third developed a leaking toilet. We eventually gave up on informing management, as no issues were being resolved. The entire facility was poorly maintained. The carpets throughout the hotel smelled awful, though thankfully a carpet cleaner arrived to address the hallway. The hotel was visibly neglected, with spider webs and dirt around every corner—definitely not up to the standards we’ve come to expect from this chain. We also encountered issues with our room keys, which inexplicably reset every day, forcing us to get new ones constantly. The laundry room was in desperate need of cleaning; my mom and I ended up using our own towel and detergent to scrub down the washers and dryers ourselves, and it was shocking how much dirt we found. After we finished, it was obvious that we had done a far better job than the staff. It’s clear that the employees here only put in half the effort, showing little care for the property. They could all learn a thing or two from the excellent service and upkeep at the Staybridge in Chihuahua, which puts this location to shame. Sadly, this experience has left us questioning whether this hotel chain can be trusted for consistent quality.

This property had a lot of out of order signs, coffee pot, an elevator which made wait times extremely long, and the front door entrance card reader for after hours. There was also a cockroach called front desk and they sent someone to spray bug spray. I will not be returning or referring this hotel to anyone.

The rooms are great size, with plenty of room. Very clean. Breakfast is great.

Nice location. The room is clean. The room is not well soundproofed.

Positive:The room was very clean, had a very clean kitchen area, a clean restroom, beds were comfortable although I prefer my pillows a bit more firm but I was still able to get a good night sleep. Cons: the a/c worked great in the living room area but I don't think the a/c unit was strong enough to reach into the bedroom. If I didn't leave the doors open to the room it would get kind of warm but if you prefer your door open the a/c should reach into the bedroom. Also I wasn't able to connect my ps5 to the wifi, not a big deal but still would have been nice to play a little bit while I was there.

We had to relocate to a different room because the air conditioning didn't work. Our room was not serviced next day, and needed to acquire fresh wash cloths. But staff was friendly and accommodating.

Breakfast was great, too many options. Big room and loved that the bedroom was separated from living room.

This was was right next to Saltlick restaurant. The problem was that they had guys washing the back of their restaurant after 10PM. The next morning, the trash was being collected so you can imagine the noise early in the morning. Breakfast was nice. Appreciated the variety. One bed was firm and the other was softer. Overall it was a good stay for the price.

The heater wasn't working... knce you turned off there was a mini-split by the couch that didnt stop, just kept blowing fresh air .. I noticed thia by midnight ... difficult night

Greeted by one of the rused receptionist ive ever encountered. Lynne was clearly in more of a rush to get back to her personal call on her cellphone rather then properly checking us in. Was never told they dont service rooms daily or give us clean towels daily. After 3 days of bo room service in a 9 night stay one would think the room would be serviced. We had yo go down to the counter to ask for it then the only sericed the day of and after and that was it. First 3 days breakfast was burnt the rest was decent only because they only put out just enough food. When a crowd come down and clean it out you have to wait for them to bring more out from the back. Renovations have been made some look nice some look half assed. Its not all bad the hotel was located super close to the airport. Rooms were clean (when we got there)and spacious. Rest of the staff was friendly other then lynne.

Arrived to hotel after making reservation 5 days before, we checked in and it was not until I opened the door to my room that I discovered the initial room I had reserved was not what had been assigned to me. Went back to customer service and the receptionist said there was nothing she could do and that being I had booked through a third party I had to call them. She said all rooms were booked and no changes could be made on her end. I got on the phone with Expedia and they called the receptionist twice and she did not answer their call. Expedia was able to assist me in moving to another hotel, and when I went back to the receptionist there was a new person there I told her I needed to checkout and leave early. She asked why and I explained what had happened she pulled up my reservation which she said was originally assigned to me correctly someone had manually scratched out the initial room and given me a studio. She apologized and after the initial receptionist had told me she couldn’t assign me a refund until management came back on Monday this young lady was able to submit for a refund due to the issues. I have always used third party systems to book rooms and this has been the first time I have ever had an issue with the room. I believe you all should educate your employees better.

I had to cancel, and emailed the hotel. They never even responded and I was charged. I was fine with being charged as I had to c cancel last minute due to a medical emergency for a family member. They didn’t even respond to say “we can’t issue a refund but wish you well”. Simply, nothing.

Great stay, the rooms were clean and in great condition. Front counter service was excellent, the lady in the front made the check in process quick and easy.

Staff is nice and the hotel itself is great, but both times I’ve stayed here it takes an additional 30 minutes to an hour and a half to check in.

Front desk friendliness was awesome. Will definitely use this place again.

The breakfast was plentiful. I like the little social hours Monday through Wednesday. We enjoyed talking to the people staying at the hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was apparently they took care of the property.

Clean, safe, friendly staff. Nice room. Kitchen. Separate living area. Secure parking. Free laundry. Good breakfast. Didn’t have time for pool but looked nice. Saltgrass restaurant next door.

Great place to stay! Clean hotel and friendly and helpful staff. Location was in minutes from everywhere we wanted to go.

It’s near the mall and restaurants. Great location if you are flying early (few minutes from the airport).

Great staff, spacious rooms, convenient location

The "suite" feel of this room worked really well for our family of 5. It was nice having a kitchen and living room separated from the bedroom by a door. It really allowed us to have space from each other when needed. The breakfast was nice as far as hotel breakfasts go. They had a really varied selection. The location was very convenient. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we'd definitely stay here again.

Nice older place. Needs some updating. Had hard time finding it because its tucked in off of frontage road with only one entrance. Breakfast at 9am sunday was picked over and person couldn't keep up. No plastic forks and no juices were available. Taste was good however. Room was plenty of space. Loved that. Would stay there again.

The rooms are great size, with plenty of room. Very clean. Breakfast is great.
