La Copa Inn is an excellent beachside hotel on South Padre Island. The rooms are modern and have trendy, fun beach themes and the linens are fresh and appealing. Most rooms have either a balcony or a patio and I appreciate that amenity. Front desk personnel are friendly and helpful. There is a family friendly pool and a pool side cafe with lots of menus options. A free and hearty buffet style breakfast every morning is much appreciated.

Overall we had a very nice stay for 8 days. Some areas to share is the parking was difficult when we arrived and the parking security advised that it would get better later once unauthorized cars where towed. Second, our microwave was broken and was not fixed/replaced after 2 requests. Next, we asked for extra blankets for the pull out bed and were told there none were available as they were being washed for the next day. When we did finally receive a "blanket" it was a mattress cover. We enjoyed the breakfast provided. However, when we asked for cream cheese for the bagels, we were told there would not be anymore put out until the next day. Some breakfast items ran low and were not replenished if you arrived after 9:30am. Lastly, there are not 3 pools! There is one pool, a kiddie pool and a hot tub. The area is well kept and staff was very friendly. Common areas were constantly kept clean. The negative comments did not impact our overall stay but are left for future vacationers information.

This is an older building but it is well maintained. Staff was busy cleaning (sand), repairing rooms. I got the impression whoever runs this place has high standards. Their breakfast is outstanding. Their bar/grill has really good food, happy hour specials and good drinks. The pool area is well maintained. I felt very comfortable there.

the sheets had stains on them and sand in the bed. we were told they would change them for another day then when they did they didnt change the sheets on the pull out couch. toilet didnt flush very well and the shower didnt work well. the construction remodel was loud and smelled like Marijuana.

Staff members we're cleaning all the time and the property reflected it. It was the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Their included breakfast buffet was exceptional. All the staff were so friendly. Their boardwalk to the beach was well maintained and lighted for night access to the beach.

Great wings in the retro vibe cafe. Direct access to beach was easy. Breakfast was out of this world, best free breakfast in a hotel EVER! Plus I wore white socks in my hotel room WOW no dirty bottoms, very clean room. My own house is not that clean. Staff was so kind. I’ve never been to S. Padre but this experience made it awesome!

The cleaniness is horrible! Smells like dogs and dirty. Woke up with bites most likely bed bugs. We have stayed here 4 times prior and never seen it in this condition will not being staying here anymore!

Nice room but was very loud at night with carts on floor tiles in hallway. Quiet times were merely a suggestion. Breakfast was adequate but no changes in offerings during the week. (Same thing every day) Had problems with noisy AC unit on wall. Maintenance was there quickly replaced the whole unit. Much better.

For the price paid for an ocean view room, I was kinda disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. But the room was rather hot, and beds uncomfortable. The porch had lights on all night (no controls), limiting the night view of the water.

We stayed in the ocean view junior suite. It has a large balcony on the 4th floor. The room was clean & the beds were comfortable. The ocean view was fantastic. You could even see the pool below if you walked to the edge of the balcony. If you wanted to just hang out in privacy you could sit at the table w/ 4 chairs. The hotel was very clean. They were putting in new tile in the 1st floor hallway. It was not loud or disturbing. The breakfast was excellent, with a view of the Laguna Madre from the dining room windows The hotel was conveniently located near great restaurants and clubs. We will definitely stay here again when we are in South Padre. Highly recommended!

Hotel was at good location was very clean and staff was very helpful. Beach was in perfect walking distance. The best part was that the pool was heated so after letting them play in the cold ocean we cleaned off the sand in the outside shower and enjoyed the warm pool. The only issue we had was the beds. They were broken I mean so loud you could hear the springs in the bed. Every time you moved it would wake up the whole room.

We liked the beach access. The room needs some minor repairs. Toilet paper roll holder kept falling off. Bath tub has a chip in it. Bathroom door needs some repair on the bottom inside. The A/C vent on outside on balcony could be cleaned. Room 341

The staff was very helpful and the room was very clean. Our room also had a lot of space. Nice pool area and great beach access. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The king-size bed in our room was not that comfortable nor were the pillows. The sleeper sofa was awful to sleep on. We were on the 1st floor and had a patio but, there were no dividers between the other rooms to provide any privacy. Also, the noise from the AC did not make it pleasant to sit outside which was disappointing. Since we were on the 1st floor, there was a lot of noise coming from all the traffic to and from the pool area. Perhaps if we would have been on a different floor, it might have been a better experience.

The entrance of the hotel is nice but dated. Check-in was smooth no issues. As we made our way to the room I did notice that the public areas were clean and maintained. Our room was very clean, but once we laid down on the beds they felt horrible. It felt like if we made one wrong turn we would have broken the bed in half. Both beds were very noisy and idk if it was the springs or the base that kept cracking but I was uncomfortable during the night. The blanket is paper thin so I would reccomend taking your own blanket. The pillows were fluffy to the touch but felt flat when you laid your head on them. I had to use 3 pillows just to be able to fall asleep. The AC was very cold so we did like it. The breakfast area was nice, the food was fresh, and the breakfast host was very sweet and welcoming. Overall the experience was okay, we paid on about $80 per night and I feel like we got the quality we paid for.

All of the front desk staff was polite also the manager was AWESOME I think her name start with a Chantel lol . The food was awesome the that takes orders that’ looks like drake I’m not good at names but he was the best even the cooks we will definitely be back thank you 😊

All staff was so welcoming and friendly, some of the hardest workers. They are working around the clock, never saw them wasting a second. We went out for dinner and by the time we returned our room had been cleaned. We appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and attitude.

Check in Time was at 3 pm unfortunately there was an accident on the causeway I got to the hotel after 3 . When arriving I had to wait to get my room because it wasn’t ready I didn’t get my room till after 7 pm. It was the first time I stayed there never again will I go back.

Everything was great just when i was checking in i was told it was only 1 vehicle per room which i was not aware of it was NOT on the confirmation and the staff where VERY rude about that which made it very stressful at check in . But besides that the stay was great .

The security guard would walk around the pool all day and night harassing everyone! Other guests were also upset and one confronted him telling to go walk the property instead of ruining everyone's vacation! He is awful! The pillows are hard as rocks other guests checking out were complaining as well and my room key stopped working 3 times causing me to go from the 4th floor to desk to have them replaced. It doesn't sound like a big deal but when you are wet from the ocean and having to walk around a cold building it really sucked. This is our second stay here they must have had a change in management and we will NEVER return. I paid almost $1,800.00 and for a couple hundred more I could have stayed at Margaritaville and will next time!

The breakfast was OK, not what I expected. When you order your taco or omelets the staff need to be a little friendlier. Very cold, no smiles, almost like they hate their jobs. Also, coffee was so weak. Had no flavor. The round soap in the restroom smelled horrible, like chemicals. I threw it away and bought my own bar of soap. The bed was not very comfortable, woke up with back pain. The staff at the La Copa Cabana Bar and Grill were super friendly and awesome. Shout out to the young lady working on Tues evening and Joseph, they were awesome!

Everything was great from check in with Gustavo to bar service from Evan and Benito to the staff who were cleaning non stop. I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast bar, but I did drink 4 cups of the yummy coffee every morning!!! Our room was clean. Loved how close it was to the beach, a pier away! We will definitely stay next year!!!!

Our stay was great. Great restaurant food, complimentary breakfast was decent, drinks and happy hour specials were great. The only “bad” thing was upon arrival our room wasn’t ready and had to wait about 30-45 minutes but it wasn’t a big deal.

We liked that the location of the hotel is convenient to the beach front. I do wish that the stairs to the beach was replaced by a ramp. The stairs were difficult to climb up/down when accessing the beach with carts, chairs, canopies, & coolers.

I loved the hotel location and our room was right on the beach. Friendly staff and loved the coffeee shop and snack restaurant at the hotel. Our room was clean and comfy! Didn’t love that out ocean front pool overlooked the small crowded pool area which was loud w kids and music. If a peaceful vacation at the beach is what you want the pool area is not for you. Nor the balcony. The hotel in itself was really great. Just be warned of oceanfront vaccines room

We enjoyed our stay here. We loved they had a Starbucks inside the property and the food they sold by the pool was delicious as well. The only downside I would say is that the pool does get crowded since it's a bit small and the hot tub was too hot to stay inside. Other than that, everything else was pleasant.

This was a great hotel for the price! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location and beachfront and beach access was amazing. The free breakfast had great options including made to order omelets that rivaled any I had in restaurants. Their restaurant and bar was good too. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I was happy with my bed comfort but others I traveled with gave them a 3 out of 5 forcomfort.

Everything was great from the start. But we did have trouble with our room knob. The breakfast options were not the best. All egg options had cheese. My husband is lactose intolerant. There was no bacon and the potatoes tasted like cardboard. We tried the tacos and not the best. Other than that everything was great. Hoping our next trip is better.
