Sonesta Simply Suites Salt Lake City Airport

This hotel was dirty and smelly to begin with, but overlooked that as I was just happy to have a hotel close to the event I was attending. Just checked out, and got charged an additional $93.25 in addition to the $100 deposit to stay. I called them, and they said since there was self tan and eye makeup on 2 washcloths, that they were charging me $150 total and I would not be getting my deposit back, and have an additional charge because of the towels. Called Sonesta guest relations, because they were actually helpful, and they opened a case and filed a formal Complaint against the hotel staff. No amenities, dirty dishes/ kitchen ware in the room. Walls are very thin and you can hear footsteps and noises from other rooms. Not the best area in SLC. Do not reccomend staying here.

Nice place, not super fancy but the rooms were nice and clean and the staff was amazing!

The room itself was nice. Clean, comfortable bed. But the hotel hallways and lobby stank horribly of perfume. It gave me a headache and triggered my allergies. I noticed that on the wall above the elevator that they had one of those things that automtically spray air freshener like you usually see in bathrooms. I don't know what kind of horrible smell they are trying to cover but I can't imagine that the perfume is much better. I got home and my clothes still smell like it.

Pretty worn out hotel with old furnishings. Could use some investment. Expensive for what it has to offer. Nice staff, though.
