Comfortable rooms, average stay. We chose this hotel for the airport shuttle and cheao parking, but were informed upon arrival to the hotel that they have discontinued this service. We had to walk 3/4 mile to the trax station with our luggage, but still made it fine and parked for cheap. Fine stay.

It is an AIRPORT hotel and as such providing shuttle service to the local airport should be a top priority. We booked a room about four months in advance of our stay. Free shuttle service was listed as an amenity. This service was a necessity for us, otherwise we would have booked elsewhere. When we arrived for checkin the person behind the desk informed me that the shuttle service was ‘down’ and not available. I told her I was never informed of this and she responded that the shuttle broke the day before. I requested a refund and she told me that since I had booked through a third party I would have to resolve this through them. I called hotels.com and spoke with an agent who contacted the hotel. He then told me that the manager was only available through email and that it would take some time. Several hours later I received notice from hotels.com that the hotel refused to issue a refund because we had booked with a ‘non-refundable’ reservation. This is unacceptable. When the shuttle went out of service it was the hotel’s responsibility to ensure that either an alternative option was available or authorize refunds to customers who relied on this service. To withhold refunds for cancelled reservations due to problems CAUSED BY THE PROPERTY is outright thievery and unprofessional. The manager at the property hides (understandably) behind his email and is unqualified to deal with the public. Shame on Sonesta Simply Suites for allowing him to remain on their staff.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The suites were clean and comfortable. I really liked the 'borrow an appliance' thing, we used the toaster over a few times. The gym was nice and I used it several times. We really liked our view of the mountains too!

Property was clean and decent. It is across the road from Park nJet which is very convenient. What I didn't like is they charged for parking and I wasn't aware of this. It is not like it is downtown with limited space. They said all the hotels did this which isn't true because I stayed last week in a downtown hotel and they didn't change.

On arrival room was not very clean and up to par. Most amenities offered online were not available such as the airport shuttle and etc. My room had mold and my toilet was stopped up the entire time. The hallways were filthy and filled with trash. I was highly disappointed.

The first night the room was super clean, but before we got into our rolm the hallway leading to it had a storng smell of Marijuana. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. 2nd night there we had to call the manager so we can switch rooms, the smell of Marijuana was inside our room, manager was called to our room to verify so we could switch to another room. Manager showed up and verified that it was true. (Rooms are equipped with smoke detectors) Switched to 2nd room and same thing, room was super clean but in the night time the smell was coming from somewhere, it would stay and go all through out the day. Didn't call the manager this time, figured if we switched to a 3rd room we probably find the same thing. Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds and super clean, but this smells through out the hotel kinda kills it.

The room and hallways were clean but there was a large trashcan in the area just inside the side door that needed to be emptied more often. That's also where people seemed to go to smoke so it smelled bad several of the days we were there between the trash and smokers. The room itself was comfortable and clean. Loved the big table/desk area and full-size refrigerator. Loved the artwork too! The only two weird things are that there was only a partial roll of toilet paper when we got there and no backup. There should always be at least one new TP roll available in the room. We were told we could call if we needed anything but you can't do that when you're "in sudden need" of TP if you know what I mean. Also, housekeeping only comes every 7 days so you have to call if you need anything replaced or refreshed. Parking is $5/day which we didn't know. The location is good and the workout facility is well-equipped. They also have a cooler with frozen food items if you need it. The staff was friendly.

I’ve stayed at Sonesta Hotels before, and this is the worst. The hotel smelled, registration counter felt greasy. The room smelled horrible, like they tried to cover up other bad smells by dumping a barrel of rubbing alcohol on the floor. It was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in over 30 years.

Fine for a place to sleep for a couple hours. Not super clean, hair stuck to bathroom door. Bathroom door had obviously got wet at one time and swelled up, very difficult to close. Dusty.

We booked for KBP6 for 5 nights as we traveled in from outside of USA. This place was great. 10 min walk to green line. Was easy to take train from airport to hotel. Then greenline again to get to Fairpark for KBP. Super fast and convenient. That said, room/staff at Sonesta was also excellent. We wanted to book a budget friendly option near the airport and festival. Glad we picked Sonesta. Room was big, nice, clean and kitchen was great. We used kitchen alot, and having the full sized fridge was awesome. The bed was very comfy and we had some great sleeps EVERY night! Room was very quiet too, never heard anyone. We rented a vehicle later on during our stay, parking was plentiful, and very reasonable per day. We'd stay here again for sure. Definitely for any SLC events!

The room was spacious and clean. However, I got a room where the front door was not totally able to be sealed. I could see the hallway and people outside could still see into the room even with the door closed and locked. The door jamb was not flush. Anyway it was strange and didn't feel very secure. I had to put my suitcase in front of the door when I slept to block the light from the hallway.

I was disappointed for several reasons, but the main thing was that Expedia's photos of the room showed a couch in the living area. Instead it had a second bed which I didn't need and never would have paid extra for. The bed made the living area virtually unusable. For example, I could not even sit in the chair off to the side, because there was no room for my legs unless I put them on the extra bed. When I mentioned this to the person at the registration desk she said "I wish Expedia would stop showing that picture because we only have two rooms with a couch." Of course, nobody offered to refund the additional cost.

My only complaint is the room was outdated, there were no USB plugs, but lucky for me I brought something I could plug my phone into. The alarm clock was almost impossible to change the time, but I figured it out after about 20 minutes. Other than that, it had everything I wanted.

This hotel is awesome! I wasn't expecting it to have a full kitchen, with full sized fridge and range. The bathroom was also one of the biggest hotel bathrooms I've seen. The bed was so comfy, and the desk attendant even let me pick what floor I was on. I will definitely be coming back here

This hotel is packed at all hours, and LOUD. People partying outside your window in the parking lot late at night. And when people wake up at 4 am to get ready for work, it is so loud that for a minute you think they're actually in the room with you. Showers sound like they're in your room. The condition of the room was much nicer than I thought by the shabbiness of the hallways. All in all, I did not get any sleep for the two nights I was there and will not be back.

Free shuttle service was listed as an amenity. This service was a necessity for us, otherwise we would have booked elsewhere. When we arrived for checkin the person behind the desk informed me that the shuttle service was ‘down’ and not available. I told her I was never informed of this and she responded that the shuttle broke the day before. I requested a refund and she told me that since I had booked through a third party I would have to resolve this through them. I called hotels.com and spoke with an agent who contacted the hotel. He then told me that the manager was only available through email and that it would take some time. Tried to check in here after a long day of delayed flights and a missed connection. Arrived @ the property around 1am. Front desk informed me after contacting management that they were unable to allow me to check in because they were sold out. Since i didnt book directly with them, the night I reserved would basically be forfeited. However, the front desk staff (Chris) that assisted me was excellent. He honored the reservation i had already booked by changing it to another day so i wouldnt lose my money and he found me another hotel i could check into @ 1am. I was very grateful for his service as he went above and beyond despite the direction of his management. If not for this, I may have had to crash in the lobby until a room became available 8 hrs later. Not situated in the best location for food, shopping, attractions etc but close to the airport.

Just checked out today, what a great place to stay!! We had a stocked kitchenette. They have good signs to let them know if you need additional items. It was very quiet, even with being close to the airport. A security guard asked my hubs in the parking lot late one night what he was doing there. He said we were staying there. The guard asked to see his key. What great security! Keeping our car and us safe. I will stay here again!

Our stay was not good. To start, we booked this hotel in large part for the airport shuttle services, only to find out it operates on limited hours and we wouldn’t be able to utilize it. Strange for an airport hotel. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very unprofessional front desk attendant who was oddly wearing rubber gloves and appeared to be stoned, his eyes were glazed and he asked us the same questions repeatedly. He wasn’t able to answer any of our questions about the amenities or anything. The lobby and hallways were dirty and had a smell. When we got to our room the temperature control was not functioning. There was a filthy pot on the stove. When my husband called to ask for extra pillows, he was told “uh I think maybe I have one” by the front desk attendant. He had to go down to the desk to retrieve the singular pillow available, and was handed a dirty looking pillow with no pillow case on it. We ended our stay early and booked a different hotel for the remainder of our trip. We asked for a refund of our unused nights, but were told there were no managers available to speak to with such authority, which is also strange and problematic to not have a manager on duty to attend to guest issues. It has been a week and a half now since our unpleasant stay, and I still have not gotten any response from a manager despite multiple efforts to contact them. I would urge others not to book here. The cleanliness, amenities, and customer service are extremely lacking.

This was my first stay at Sonesta Simply Suites; the service was great and the room was very comfortable. There was an issue with the airport shuttle, so the hotel arranged an Uber to and from the hotel for me, which I thought was so nice of them. The room was simple, but clean. Sheets were super soft and the pillows were cozy. This is a no-frills room, really just the basics plus a kitchenette. However I will certainly be back for another stay in the near future.

The hotel itself was very well kept and the staff was friendly but this hotel is in the Note District of Salt Lake City, an area well known for crime and homelessness. I didn’t realize it until I arrived. The guests were terribly sketchy, loud thuds and men yelling at 2 am and a guy jumping out of the bushes to ask for a lighter as we left (as early as we could to get away). Yikes.

Over all the staff was amazing and very accommodating we would stay again. The little store was barely stocked and had no water. The room was clean and the building smelt amazing. Had to Uber a bit to get food or door dash because there was only one restaurant near by

When selecting a hotel, one criteria wss that it served breakfast. We were surprised to learn it did not serve breakfast. There was s small kitchenette with limited dishes. There were signs everywhere saying to just ask for more dishes. The front desk looked shocked when i asked for more dishes. The dishes in the room felt dirty. There was only one single serve coffee filter in the room. In the laundry room where there was coffee, i took the last paper cup. There was no charm to the hotel.

The room was no where near what the pictures show on the website. Some walls were dirty. The bed frame was exposed and you can see debris/dirt sitting there. We were trying to rest before the event we were attending and they were doing some kind of repairs next door so there was banging for a few hours. They need to replace their towels. I guess you get what you pay for!!

We only needed a night to stay there but it was better than my wife expected it to be. Only down falls were no early check in which is fine, and the room smelt like cigars of some sort. But we did let the staff know as soon as we were in our room that it was not us
