Great and cleanly hotel. Good morning coffee for clients. Biggest gripe is that hotel has no parking of its own. Either you pay for street parking or spend high priced parking garage fees. If you are renting a vehicle beware.

I had a King room with spa bath. The staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. I had a very big bed, a bit soft for my liking but it was very even and clean. Bathroom was big and the bathtub was deep. Toilet was in its own separate room which could be helpful if more than 1 person staying in the room, as that means the other person still has access to the sink and shower even when toilet is in use. I had a small fridge and a yoga mat provided in room which was very handy. Charging points next to both sides of the bed too. Tea and coffee were provided in the morning in the lobby and there were no tea and coffee facilities in room. It was not a big deal but is a noted difference from other standard hotel offerings. There also was no pool and we had a hot week so a pool would have been welcome. (Yes I did know when I booked that there's no pool) The lobby lounge was a very nice spot to sit and chill out when I didn't want to be on my own in the room. Late afternoon they provided some non alcoholic drinks and snacks for free too which was very nice. Food at Bambara was excellent, I highly recommend the birria grilled cheese, it came with the birria sauce, which was excellent. Overall a very pleasant stay, I will definitely stay again.

The hotel was very close to the Eccles Theater. The room was nice and very quiet. The valet parking was a nice added bonus. The only negative was the restaurant was very expensive which forced us to go find somewhere else cheaper to eat.

This is a really nice hotel in the center of Salt Lake City. The rooms are very very nice plenty of space and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bar and restaurant are both excellent. We got free breakfast on one of our night stay and the food was incredible. This is our third time staying here and would definitely come back again. The only negative for me would be the $45 valet parking, but other than that this hotel is a must stay.

I Booked a King Premium suite. It was not as described. There was no separate tub from shower. The sheets also had stains on them. It was disappointing to say the least. Especially for what we paid.

The ac in my room did not keep the room cool and I had it at 60 the 3 days I was there. $32 a night to park valet.. I think $700 dollars for 3 days of a stay should include that. $22 to self pay and it’s EACH time you leave the parking lot. The construction is kind of a buzz kill too they should put that in their descriptions. My tv remote didn’t work and asked for batteries but they sent someone to unplug it instead.. then the next night we finally got the batteries. My room smelt like stale cigarettes as well as the elevators. I definitely wasn’t impressed. I guess I’ll read more reviews next time. Also, at check out asked for a cart and the guy at the front desk couldn’t find any so we got a table for food service to take our stuff out. I think the valet people were nicer than anyone besides the guy that checked me in.

Superb location. Parking on arrival was confusing - the staff didn't seem to know where we should go. Bathrooms are small, rooms are small. Bathroom door wouldn't close. Large gap under the bedroom door allowing light from the hallway into the room all night. HOWEVER, it was clean and an overall pleasant stay. The location is fantastic - walking distance to shopping, food and theaters.

Was unsure of what to expect. I and usually a chain hotel person. OMG, this hotel is amazing. Centrally located, tram and bus service just outside. Valet parking was so nice. The restaurant has amazing food and service. The cleanliness was above and beyond. This hotel changed my prospective on using chain hotels. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Definitely being staying there next July when I am visiting.

Very convenient to downtown, but be prepared to pay for parking. Rooms are pretty basic for a kimpton. No coffee machine in the room, but my husband called the front desk and they brought one up.

My wife and i went for a romantic night in Salt Lake City. The room was awesome, very romantic, and sofisticated. Early on, there was a yappy dog next door, but ad the night went on, it quieted down. The walls seemed pretty thin, as you could hear peoples voices. But we didnt know anyone, so we didnt think anyone would care if they heard us making "noise". The bed, bedding, pillows, everything was perfect.

I don’t recommend staying in the summer. We called at 10:30pm because the AC only got to 73 degrees even though we set it to 68. The hotel responded by saying that the AC is at max capacity for the entire hotel and they offered to bring me a fan. Simply shocking that a four star hotel can’t get AC working as good as any other hotel.

We booked the basic king bed room, and it was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The door nearly hit the bed when we walked it. It looked like they had converted a storage closet into another room, and for $300 a night? Never again

A very modern feel, with spacious rooms (our room on the 11th floor had a magnificent view of the mountains!) with all the amenities. A beautiful lobby area, and a great downtown location only two blocks from the Temple grounds, and from the convention center, with a number of nice restaurants and coffee places nearby.

I thought this property was actually exceptional and I only gave a average rating on the condition as we had a noise issue with plumbing - however other than that this was a far better property for both price and experience than all the others around the area... I plan to stay again.

I had experienced a flight cancellation, then a last minute rebooking the next morning to an earlier flight. I had stayed at this Kimpton before and enjoyed it. Due to the schedule change I was rushed and left my iPad in my room. It was very difficult to get in touch with the front desk, staff was unhelpful and unresponsive. Staff have not gotten back in touch with me. I have to assume my iPad was stolen by staff.

I stayed in a suite and it was HUGE! The bathroom was very large and very clean. The desk area was very comfortable for working. Aliza reached out to me every single day to make sure that my stay was going well and that I had everything that I needed. I had a client presentation while I was there and had several colleagues with me. The wait staff at the restaurant gave us the 'Chairman's Office' to use as our private war room to prepare for our presentation - all while being served a delicious breakfast! I will be staying at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco every time I'm in SLC for business!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. This restored hotel is a great stay across from the Capital Theater and a block from the Eccles Theater and City Creek. The Trax Blue line Gallivan Station is just out the East door of the hotel. Great connection to the Delta Center, Temple Square, City Creek easy on and off. The staff was very gracious and polite. We will stay there again.

Nice hotel. Clean and orderly. Comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay very much. The restaurant was very tasty and enjoyable. Good location with what we were doing. Seems a stately older building that has been kept up and taken care of This was our first time we’ve stayed here and figuring out where to park was something we just didn’t know. Need more clarity on how the parking works here. You can accidentally park in the wrong lot

Great hotel, mediocre restaurant. Room was clean and nice. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant was not great. Had the burger and blue cheese chips. Burger was so salty I could eat it, and I like salt. The blue cheese chips and very little blue cheese. Other than that the property was nice.
