We took the light speed rail train from the airport to Gallivan Center and walked a few minutes to the hotel! The hotel was beautiful and our room was large and comfortable. We were especially impressed by the size and variety of equipment available in the exercise/weight room. All the equipment was in excellent condition and the room itself was a good temperature for exercise. The pool was nice as well!

Great hotel in downtown SLC. It is in a great location with the Gallavan center right there and plenty of great restaurants in walking distance. The restaurant and bar in the hotel was great also.

It’s a beautiful hotel with exceptional views of downtown. The only negative would be the pool and jacuzzi was murky and the chemicals burned our eyes.

The parking garage is lacking signage to help you navigate your way to the guest elevators and also when it’s time to exit. The pool was too cold to enjoy.

Love that the hotel is nice and in the heart of downtown, Easy walking distance to lots of shops and dining. The hotel was clean and very well maintained. Staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable and nice sized bathroom. Only thing to complain about was no constent fan option on the a/c. I like fan running to help reduce the city traffic noise.

You really cannot beat this location. However, it’s giving overpriced; the rooms could use a lot of love (updating). They are pretty tight and the beds feel VERY slept in (wayyy too soft). It can also get quite loud between rooms. And the plumbing is also very loud. I could hear the pipes squeal every time another room showered. Despite all of this, the location is truly unbeatable if you wanna explore downtown. Because of this, I’d stay again.

Fantastic service and comfort! Love this location as it’s right next to the gallivant center and walking distance to the major attractions in Salt Lake. The staff is really over the top. rooms are well appointed & spacious! The chicken smells good, huh? All right well that’s why I made it. Great leadership from Kyle At the front desk and all of his team.

I was charged through Expedia (paid in full before arrival) and then charged again the full amount (receiving a final email receipt from Marriott showing I was charged again on the deposit credit card) so now I’ve paid twice and no one will be around for the next 3 days to reconcile. The facility was great however having to call back and getting cards reimbursed is one more unnecessary headache.

Fantastic stay. Very clean/safe downtown area. Hotel was great and the staff was very friendly. The morning breakfast was perfect. Lots of food options in and around the hotel. Parking was easy. Well worth the additional minimal add on cost. Would stay again without any reservations.

Generally service was excellent. One day we asked The concierge to schedule housekeeping to clean the room up. That failed to occur. Next day, I mentioned that failure to the front desk. I said I wasn’t sure whether housekeeping failed, or the concierge staff had failed to notify housekeeping. The person at the front desk turned very frosty at the news. Rather than show concern for my comfort or the Hotel’s level of service. A disappointing reaction.

When we arrived, the hotel told us we could not have the room we booked. They said because we booked through a third-party they were allowed to give us any room they wanted. When we got to our room, it had an adjoining door that went to another room and you could hear the people in that room talking. They were not being loud, but you could hear everything they said. Breakfast was good, but we waited 20 minutes for a table, even though there were open tables available. When we went to check out, the valet retrieved our car. He waited by the driver door while I opened the door for my wife and then loaded our four bags. While I was loading the final bag, he walked away sarcastically saying thanks for the tip. It’s harder to tip when your bags are in your hands and they walk away before you even get them all loaded. The hotel was good except for the noise in our room. The service was just lacking on several fronts.

Had an enjoyable weekend. The site and staff were spectacular. Didn’t touch my Jeep all weekend, we walked and used the Trax, which was convenient to the Marriot.
