The room we were in required a step up into the bathroom which in the middle of the night I nearly broke my neck. The parking is not available we paid $25 per night in public parking. when we arrived we could get no help with our baggage and the elevator was so small you could only have one person in the elevator with your luggage. Recognizing this is a boutique hotel there are some poor points people should be aware of - this is a hundred year old building while beautifully maintained there should be better services and safety considerations for business travelers.

It was, in a word, subpar. All made for people who regularly stay here, they don’t own their own parking lot, no amenities either. But it is a beautiful space, truly.

The parking lot is not owned by the hotel. You have to pay at a parking station. Its $10 for 2 hours, $15 for 2 to 10 hours, and $25 for 10 to 24 hours. Slightly annoying but manageable however, the ticket machine wouldnt print and while my card was charged, i had no proof. I called the company after i got the number from the hotel, left a message, and got two tickets! Not the hotels fault but good for other travelers to know.

Cute historic hotel with tons of character. Lobby is warm and inviting. The lobby bar is awesome, had some great cocktails. The breakfast place that's attached the building is great too. Friendly staff, clean, definitely would stay again!

The Tapestry by Hilton is a beautiful hotel. The exterior, lobby, hallways and rooms all have the feel of a historic hotel similar to the Stanley in Colorado, Baxter and Sacajawea in Montana. Since this hotel was built in 1910, don't expect a suite or spacious room. Two suitcases, and a few other travel bags made the room feel very cramped. The room was quite as far as people noise go, but the air conditioner reminded me of being parked on the tarmac at the airport. As far as cleanliness goes, it was pretty gross. Tooth past from a previous guest still resided on the vanity as well as hair that was in the bathtub. A bug was napping on the bed headboard in the morning when I awoke. The worst part of this property was due to the horrible parking situation. The parking lot meter for the hotel lot did not accept cash and the credit card reader was not working. I had to park on the street and pay the city meter, which had a max time frame of 2 hours. I wanted to try the restaurant downstairs for breakfast, but was tired of paying the meter. Hilton properties I have stayed at in the past are usually very nice, and I would return to most. The Tapestry by Hilton is not one of them. It seems to have started with poor parking infrastructure planing and goes down hill from there. This hotel is not a dog by any means but it could be so much better with some insightful managing.

The water for the shower would not get hot. We had to leave it running for about 15 minutes before it would get warm. The parking situation was not the best, there is a paid lot next door, but we booked for a Saturday night and all th spots were taken because of the bars nearby, they don’t have their own parking as shown in the price of booking. I had to park blocks away and walk to check in.

Pros: Beautiful lobby, great decor throughout, convenient walking downtown/great restaurants, safe, fantastic bed & pillow Cons: Paid parking ($25/nt-grrr), very low water pressure from showerhead (good thing I didn't have to wash my hair), wish there was a minifridge in the room, room had faint smell of masked cigarettes

Unique, historical building turned hotel by Hilton. Walkable to pubs and City Creek mall as well as Main Street. Excellent for families. Only knock on the property is lack of complimentary parking for guests/VIP.

We stayed here twice (when we arrived in Salt Lake and when we were leaving) and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. The rooms we stayed in were spotlessly clean, very comfortable, well equipped and stylish. Staff were very friendly and helpful, assisting with every request. There is a well equipped gym and a bar and breakfast diner on site offering good food and locally brewed drinks. The hotel is in a good area, a few minutes walk from the UTA metro station, meaning easy access to the airport, and near to the City Creek Shopping Mall and in a walkable distance to a good selection of restaurants and bars. Overall an excellent hotel.

We had a wonderful stay, the bed was comfortable and clean ,we appreciated the night light in the bathroom. We were in 228 the noise from the street wasn't too bad on Friday night and pretty much none on Saturday night. Definitely will stay again

When we arrived in the middle of the evening we found a dirty sink, pee on the bottom of the toilet and had no hot water. The front desk staff did what the could, and the cleaners scrubbed the bathroom the next morning but it was gross and frustrating. It was nice that Brittany gave us breakfast vouchers, and the historic hotel was neat but my view was tainted by our first night.

The building is antique and beautifully decorated. The rooms are clean and cozy but not very big. Our room's bathroom door doesn't shut tight. The staff didn't bug us by trying to get in and clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The best part about our stay is the location. We are surrounded by restaurants. There are 2 in our building. A breakfast place that has really good food and an evening bar.

If you want the feel of an early 20th Century hotel with very convenient access to restaurants, sports, shopping, arts, and entertainment, The Peery is for you. Rooms could use some detail cleaning and upkeep, but the common/ public space is very nostalgic and quaint. And the staff was absolutely great.

This place was great and the staff was amazing. The only issue is the bathroom is incredibly small. When you sit on the toilet, you practically have the sink in your chest. Even with this, it was a great room and the staff was helpful.

Great location. Property needs some refreshing. Room was very small and not comfortable to relax in. I had to step into the shower in order to close the door. It was difficult to unpack as there wasn’t space to put my things. I might recommend for a solo traveler but definitely not with a partner.

#1 issue was that AC in the room runs very loudly. This unit did not cool the room enough even the hallway was cooler than our room. No leg room to sit on the toilet seat because it faces the shower tub and if you’re of average height you’ll need to sit sideways

The room (328) was literally the smallest room I’ve been in. There was no room to move in the bathroom. I had to step over the toilet to get to the shower. I couldn’t imagine how this design made it through management. Zero air conditioning upon walking into the lobby. It was hot, muggy and dark. The only employee at check in was on the phone dealing with work stuff. Love the vintage part of this hotel but I’d never go back.

The worst part of this property was due to the horrible parking situation. The parking lot meter for the hotel lot did not accept cash and the credit card reader was not working. I had to park on the street and pay the city meter, which had a max time frame of 2 hours. I wanted to try the restaurant downstairs for breakfast, but was tired of paying the meter. Hilton properties I have stayed at in the past are usually very nice, and I would return to most. The Tapestry by Hilton is not one of them. It seems to have started with poor parking infrastructure planing and goes down hill from there. This hotel is not a dog by any means but it could be so much better with some insightful managing.

We were put in a TINY room that had extremely bright lights just outside. It was difficult to sleep. The room had no refrigerator or microwave. You could barely move around the bed. Everything was so nice and clean. Very quiet, was never bugged by noise. ONLY COMPLAINT- the room was really really small. Barely fit the king-sized bed. And you couldn’t fit 2 people in the bathroom at the same time unless one was in the shower.

We arrived late at night after a long train trip. The staff was very accommodating, giving us an extended check out time, holding our luggage while we explored Salt Lake City before our flight home, and finding an unused room to allow our son to practice violin. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with a historic feel. Although rumored to be haunted, we did not experience anything like that.

Front desk agents had no customer service welcoming very bland people. Our toilet was showing signs of backing up called front desk for engineering was told no engineer property. For the entire duration of our 3 night stay, we did not have a working key card to access our room. It was a system problem and multiple guests were impacted. Every time we wanted to enter our room, a staff member had to let us in. The desk and maintenance staff were great to respond quickly to let us in. I know they were dealing with upset guests. Hotel management offered us no compensation at all to make up for this inconvenience or to extend some good will for our patience with the situation. Also, our shower handle wasnt seated properly so we couldn't turn the water on for a shower.

I stayed here during a conference and had an amazing experience. We were very close to all the dining areas and also the convention center which made it really convenient during our stay. I also had great experiences with the front desk staff, Lucy and Blake. Lucy especially helped me with my many questions and also helped direct me to the correct places to get my items ready for the show. She made sure that if I needed help with anything that it was taken care of or she would figure out the answer for me. They were both always a friendly face when we would come back to the hotel. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great. Blake at the front desk was very friendly and ready to assist. The parking was the only downside. I don’t mind paying but it’s a public lot with very tight spaces not just for the hotel so there’s no guarantee you’ll even have a spot and if you have luggage be prepared to haul it through the lot. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, coffee, shopping.

The convenient location of the Peery is fantastic. We were able to walk from the hotel to just about everything we wanted to see. If you plan on going to the Temple or Tabernacle, it's a walk to both, saving on trying to find parking near either. The SLC convention center is also just a walk. The hotel itself was clean and had character, not a cookie cutter type. The room we first got was a little small for both of us and our luggage for 4 days, 3 nights. We asked the desk clerk if there was anything he could do, and he was able to switch us to a larger room. It suited us just fine. We appreciated the two bars downstairs as well as Eggsburgh which is open to the lobby during business hours. The food there was really good and the prices reasonable. They even have fresh squeezed orange juice. The rate at the hotel was really good for the easy location to the heart of downtown. There are pubs/bars /microbrewies around the corner and across the street. I recommended RedRock, they have a absolutely delicious brie starter that is out of this world and they are just around the corner. The beds at the Perry are comfortable as well as the pillows. The towels are thick and fluffy and not the usual scratchy ones and the toiletries were really good as well. The hotel is part of the Hilton properties but you dont feel like it is, because it's different. There's history at this place and I love that they are keeping that in the foreground. The staff was wonderful and always greeted us.

Cute historic hotel with tons of character. Lobby is warm and inviting. The lobby bar is awesome, had some great cocktails. The breakfast place that's attached the building is great too. Friendly staff, clean, definitely would stay again!

This hotel was very nice. It was quiet, clean, staff was attentive and gave notice when they were away to assist other guests. I enjoyed the cleanliness of my small room, it was nice to have a thermostat, a large tv, ample amounts of coffee for one person in the room with a very clean coffee pot, and I really enjoyed the shampoo/conditioner/lotion/body wash available to you from C.O. Bigelow. For security the doors to the building locked at 21:00, and had to be opened with your room key or the intercom to the front desk. It was also nice that check in could be done by 01:00 A.M. and checkout was at 11:00 A.M. Amenities were minimal but just what you need for a short or overnight stay. It was very nice that you could add on a breakfast voucher with Eggsburg next door in the morning, there was a steakhouse and a bar attached to the lobby. The parking was not included but you can pay a variable price at the parking lot that wrapped around the side and back of the building, I paid $25 for 24 hour parking that would allow you to come and go as you liked. There was a small selection of food and drinks, and I believe souvenirs, underneath the main staircase that you could charge to your room or card. One thing I wish was available was room service at night or early mornings for food to accommodate meals at hours when restaurants aren’t as readily available.

Amazing propery, beautifully maintained, historic, rooms are small but nice, comfy, and clean! Staff was helpful and kind. Visited one of the restaurants and had ridiculously incredible margaritas and tacos, after which I was able to get tums from the convenient hotel sundry! We had a great stay at the Peery. It was super hot in Salt Lake City during our stay. Our room's air conditioning was working against the sun-filled room, so we pulled the curtains during the day. It never got super-cool despite the setting, but I think that's just going to happen. It was about 75 in the room, which is better than 105 outdoors. The room was a double queen with lots of walking space. The bathroom was a rather small due to just the older age of the hotel and the sink was in the main room. If that doesn't suit you, then make sure to ask for a different type of room. We also asked for a mini fridge to be put into our room and it promptly was. Overall, it was a great stay with good staff interaction. Finally -breakfast at the restaurant next door was terrific.

3 night stay for a conference at nearby Salt Palace CC. I chose Peery for its history and unique character over a cookie cutter corporate tower (still, it’s a Hilton property). We stayed here twice (when we arrived in Salt Lake and when we were leaving) and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. The rooms we stayed in were spotlessly clean, very comfortable, well equipped and stylish. Staff were very friendly and helpful, assisting with every request. There is a well equipped gym and a bar and breakfast diner on site offering good food and locally brewed drinks. The hotel is in a good area, a few minutes walk from the UTA metro station, meaning easy access to the airport, and near to the City Creek Shopping Mall and in a walkable distance to a good selection of restaurants and bars. Overall an excellent hotel.
