It is close to downtown, only like a 5-minute drive to get to where you need. If you want to walk it could be 10 to 15 minute. I wish the pool was bigger, but it wasn't terrible. The hot tub wasn't bad, but the jets didn't work, still relaxing. It does eco a ton in the swim area.

We were only here one night the room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was good. They have a small pool which my daughter enjoyed. We enjoyed the hot tub even though the jets didn't work.

Our stay was just ok... nothing to write home about. The staff at the front were friendly. The room was a decent size but the bathroom could've been cleaner. The pool and breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Came for a 1 night staycation over Christmas break with the kids. The pool was really small and a bit chilly. Breakfast was served until 9am...we, as well as everyone else at the hotel, got there about 8:20am. The serving area was 4' wide and impossible to get through. 1 waffle iron with a line of about 12 people waiting. Out of all juice, and a lot of other things. Didn't bother to refill. I finally settled on cereal, because that was essentially what was left to choose from. Poured milk from a pitcher into my cup...had to throw it away due to a hair. No other cartons of milk were available. Won't bother staying there again.

Everything was good except I got in the elevator on the first floor to try and go to the second and I took me to the 4th floor and it wouldn’t take me back down. The pool are closed at 11 and we tried to go for a quick sit in the hot tub at 10:45 and it wouldn’t let us in and we had to go get let in. Everything else was great!

All staff was very friendly and helpful. Shuttle service was great. Breakfast had a nice variety. Pool was open but hot tub was closed, waiting for maintenance. Overall, it was a great stay.

I’ve stayed here a few times. I like the free parking. Listen, it’s downtown Salt Lake, so sketchy is gonna sketch. The hotel itself is safe and clean. This hotel doesn’t seem to have the long term residents that some other SLC hotels have. With those long term guests you can have other unpleasant issues. I recommend this place especially if you are a female solo traveler. Safe, quiet, clean. My only complaint is they should have a freight elevator. I felt bad for the housekeeping crew having wait to share the single elevator with all the guests during the busy morning rush.

I had checked into the hotel, got to my room after a long day of travel and saw there was red stains all Over the walls, ceiling and carpet. Also there was water stains and cracks in ceiling as if the room above us was leaking water. We were only here for 2 days so I dealt with it but I told the front desk and they said they would send someone but nobody did anything. Also the house keeping didn’t clean the room one time we had to keep calling and or going down to get things we ran out of. This was horrible experience.

Nice big clean rooms, kinda smells like smoke. Breakfast was terrible but it was free. Hot tub was very dirty. The staff though was very nice and fast to help and get us what we needed.

After checking in, we found the shower handle was non- functional (they did not have another double queen room available). So we had to ahower down the hall in another room (they fixed the handle the following day).Bed was lumpy/needed to replaced. Then they did not clean the room and later told me that you have to request it. Which at check in they were supposed to notify me- so i could request it. They did not clean it because staff was gone supposedly, except for the fact i passed a maid on the way to the desk. The manager Brian only refunded me $40 for all the problems- what a joke!!!

We stayed in 6 different hotels on a 2 week road trip and SpringHill Suites had the BEST mattress of them all. The living area was nice as well. Will definitely look for more SpringHill suites for future trips.

The walls in this hotel must be thinner than other hotels we stay at because we could hear the people on the room next to us as is if they were sitting in our room. If it was just for a few minutes it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but it lasted from 10pm until almost 3am. Parking is also limited, 2nd night stay only a couple of empty stalls when we arrived after an event.

The fan in the room made a strange noise when it ran for the air conditioner. I couldn’t turn it off because it was too hot and I didn’t want to complain in the middle of the night because I wanted to sleep. A catch 22.

Room was very spacious. Hotel is aging but well maintained. Friendly staff. Surrounding area in downtown doesn't offer much but convenient to freeway. If you need a quick night to stay, this place is fine.

Just a horrible check in process. I understand that the systems were down when I arrived but it took 6 different attempts to get me a key that worked and each time I went up to the room I had to go back down to the front desk to get another. One of the keys gave me access to an occupied room! I understand sometimes there are nights like these but it was as bad of a check in process I have ever had.

The staff of this property are the real bonus for anyone staying here. They are super welcoming and friendly and do their best to be helpful. We had lots of questions about places to eat and transportation and they were really helpful with everything. They also have a quick and convenient airport shuttle, so appreciated. They are within walking distance of public transportation and a variety of restaurants if you don't mind a bit of a walk. My son was in the pool and hot tub every day and loved them. Plus a free breakfast. How can you go wrong?

Super helpful and attentive staff, thank you Sam and George. Room was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. There was always parking. As central as this is, it’s not the neighborhood I wouldn’t choose now that I know more about Salt Lake City… we preferred Sugarhouse and near the Capitol building. But we were very happy here, and had a great over all!

For downtown SLC this place is really nice. Clean and not sketchy at all. Easy free parking. In the summer it’s close to the Farmers Market. You can walk right over to it. I took a quick Uber to a delightful Italian restaurant nearby.

The hotel is excellent in all respects. Comfortable, spacious room and great breakfast. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Located about 25 minutes walk to the city centre but we like walking. About 10 minutes walk to a free tram service around the city centre. Great hotel.

Only 15 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes walk to the city centre this was a reasonably positioned hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. There is a tram stop 10 minutes walk away which was efficient and only 5 minutes to the city. Breakfast was good with different choices each day which ended 9am weekdays and 9.30 weekends, a little early for the leisure traveler. Staying for 8 nights meant the laundry room with US size washers and driers was very welcome although having to get cash from outside was a little inconvenient. There is a reasonably well equipped gymn which we used and plunge pool which we did not use. Nearby are some restaurants and convenience shops at garages although we ate in the city centre where there are some good restaurants. 5 minute drive to a large Walmart. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The only downside of the visit were the numbers of homeless people in the streets as you walk to the city or the tram. If you smiled and were polite they responded in kind but some were obviously using substances which make interaction potentially risky. Although we had no problems you have to be aware. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

Older building, very noisy. Could literally hear the alarm through the wall to the next room - which went off every 5 minutes for several hours. Buffet was partially empty by 8 and the food was not good.

This was a really big room for the price. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. I did sleep through free breakfast, but it is nice it’s included. I just wish it was open a little bit later than 9am. Only stayed here a night but it was quiet, comfortable, and I’d stay again if I was back in the area!

Staff was efficient and friendly. Room was clean but dated. Why 1 star? We went down at 8:30 to eat the free breakfast which ran to 9. No coffee, no oatmeal, no pastries so I put a bagel in the toaster. Two minutes later the bagel wasn’t even warm. My breakfast was a non toasted bagel and a slice of sausage. I believe you can’t fix a problem if you don’t know about it so I went to the front desk and nicely told the gentleman about the issues. He got a bit defensive. He said that I should have come down for breakfast earlier because they had a lot of guests and they only had one person taking care of the breakfast area. It seems to me that if management knows there are going to be a lot of guests perhaps they should have scheduled more than one person. Apparently the coffee maker was new and not working correctly. It still wasn’t working on Sunday. It when I started talking to the front desk. I do have to say the breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was much better but still no coffee or toaster. As we were checking to make sure we weren’t leaving anything in our room my husband found false eyelashes at the foot of his bed. My other complaint, our maid came in to clean our room and immediately started taking the cans out of the recycling container and putting them into the trash. We asked her why and she said that there was no recycling. Really, then why does your advertising say the hotel recycles. I will not be staying at a Springhill Suites again.

The stay was fine. The pool was warm. The breakfast was not very good and it was daylight savings time. People were trying to get breakfast and the employees started taking down breakfast right at 9:30. I thought they should have given people at least until 10 knowing they had lost an hour of sleep.
