We had a great weekend stay at the Monaco to go to a series of Mariners games. Easy on/off the train and walk to the ballpark/marketplace. Still had some renovations ongoing while we were there, but truly enjoyed our stay!

What a fantastic hotel! Recently renovated and they spared no expense. The rooms are spacious, the gym facilities are great! And you can’t beat the cocktail hour in the lobby daily from 5-6 with an appetizer. Their newly opened hotel the Mjran has an excellent menu and food is delish! I’d be amiss to not mention what a lovely surprise it was to have a non-dairy milk option at their coffee station in the mornings. We will definitely be back!

No additional fees for pets was the main reason we stayed here for a seahawks game. Total cost for a "spa" room was about 900 Cad, this included a follow up charge of about 150cad for parking and "amenities fee" that cam after the fact. Calling the room a "spa" room when it is just a separate tub and shower seems gratuitous. The elevator to the top 3 floors stopped working and we had to take the elevator to the 9th floor and walk up, with the reverse to go down. There was also some kind of substance on the ceiling in the bathroom that looked like petroleum jelly or similar. For a 900 a night hotel, this seemed a little ridiculous. Definitely not great value and will not stay here again.

Carpet was very dirty, had a lot of dust particles, pet hair, and visible stains. Does not seem like it had been vacuumed in months. Shower floor was dirty with visible particles. Front desk was nice, location is convenient, coffee in the lobby was tasty. Small parkade with limited soots and very busy street loading area, no valet. Overall unpleasant experince for the value.

The room set my asthma off w the overwhelming cleaning products. Smelled like wet dog. When i took a shower gross black bits came up into tub and filled the tub. Im home now and im sick w 100* temperature. I like the hotel but that bed and the sheets are awful. I wont be coming back. Im sick now and it was the chemicals.

*Hotel was undergoing renovations when we visited* Pros: We arrived very late at night, but were greeted by very friendly staff and felt welcomed immediately. The concierge explained the resort fee and the benefits that comes with it, which was helpful. Complimentary water in the room was nice. The $10 per day credit for food/drinks is nice too. The bed was very comfortable - I saw other reviews about ratty mattresses and toppers, we didn't have that issue (I examined the mattress). Cons: Going off of other's pictures, we stayed in a recently remodeled room. It felt very "millennial beige" and souless compared to the funky aesthetic they had before. This was our first time staying at a Kimpton hotel, so I'm not very familiar with the brand, but it seems that "funky" was their thing. Unfortunately that's gone now and there's not much color at all in the room. The most frustrating part wasn't the construction (which we couldn't even hear) it was the seemingly confusing lack of outlets in the room! As it turns out, they're on the SIDE of the nightstand and very hard to see. I didn't even notice until I read another review on here that mentioned it. Overall, great location, decent price for what you get, and comfortable, albeit bland, rooms. Maybe once they finish their renovations it will have a bit more charm.

I was disappointed at how much night time noise was picked up in our room. Other hotels we have stayed in in downtown Seattle tend to have some noise cancelling, instead we heard honking and sirens at all hours of the night. The staff (aside from check in) was great - very kind. At check in, I waited 10 minutes with no information, the staff member just kept staring at her computer but never left to see what the issue was. I had to ask, twice, “everything ok?” Just to be told “yeah” with 5 more minutes of silence.

We booked this hotel because it showed as 4.5 stars but in reality it is a 2 star hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are so old and in desperate need of upgrades! Noise from the street in our room even though we were on the 12th floor. Front desk staff was wonderful!

We arrived and checked into our room on the 7th floor. My husband inquired about a coffee maker as there was not one in the room. The front desk representative insisted on "upgrading" us to a suite with a coffee maker. We moved to the 11th floor which turned out to be a downgrade. The room was smaller than our original room, faced the noisy side of the building and we could hear the HVAC system on the roof in our room. The plumbing in the bathroom was very noisy. As though a valve needed replacing. When we checked out we were charged for a room that we had prepaid for necessitating a refund. We have stayed at Hotel Monaco numerous times and have always enjoyed the luxe feel of the property. It is starting to show its age. The positives of our stay were a friendly staff, excellent Valet attendant and a very comfortable bed.

They overbooked the hotel and we were forced to stay in another hotel nearby. No courtesy call was given. We walked into this mess without warning at 1AM. We had to check out of the other hotel at 11AM and wait until 3PM to get into our room. We had a small child with us on this trip. He became tired and irritable because we had to wander around town to kill time. I requested the manager call me. I was told they would be in touch, they never called. Beautiful hotel, crappy experience.

Staff didn’t tell you the things that they had going on like wine daily you get free tickets to places. One of them act like they were annoyed because I was asking them questions for the price I paid. They were still under renovations that had been going on for months. Did I get an email stating that they were in renovations yes but they said it will be finished in 4 to 6 weeks but in the two months months after I received the email it was still not completed. For the price you pay it’s not worth it because it’s unfinished. And the staff was bad noncommunicating.

The hotel itself was great. We only stayed one night in order to visit Pike Place and Downtown Seattle. However, the sheer amount of homeless people is absurd. If I had know Seattle was this bad, I would have bypassed staying and visiting the city altogether, and gone directly to the national parks.

The hotel was lovely. Our room was very nice and felt modern, staff were very accommodating. All things in the actual hotel were great. Our issue was we didn’t feel particularly safe staying in the area. The streets were very empty and lots of drug use/homelessness in the area. I found the property and staff were great very helpful they even had happy hour everynight free wine and free coffee in the morning always had cold water for you as well. The Outlier restaurant attached to the property had a great breakfast and we did dine there as well it was convenient for us and the food was good prices were not too bad would differently recommend the Kimpton Monaco in Seattle

I purchased breakfast through my reservation which included 1 entree from the menu. When I went to breakfast and showed the server a card showing my breakfast was included with or reservation, I received awful slow service. Our waiter provided water and coffee to other tables that arrived after us before my table. We were not in a rush so it didnt bother us but it was obvious that we didn’t get our meal as fast as other tables and we didn't get coffee refills as fast as other. Service workers are amazing people. I'm always looking for a reason to over tip but the breakfast service disserve a zero rating. The front counter and housekeeping service was amazing and deserve a 5 rating.

Room service ended at 9pm, the robes were crusty material, the tv had options for Netflix and other apps but none of them actually worked, so it was just very few cheap tv channels, the same as a 1-2 star hotel has.
