Hotel is ok. Could use some repair. Every piece of electric equipment in the gym was broken. Staff was wonderful.

Property was a little dated but very clean and maintained well. Beach access was perfect. There were not a lot of food options, the hours should overlap instead of all closing at the same time for lunch. The lifeguard was more focused on girls and his phone and hardly watched the kids/pool/beach. No info was provided regarding property amenities or a map, and the entertainment area was closed for renovation. Overall a good stay, enjoyable for all.

Habitación bien, comida no muy variedad, elevadores lentos y algunos en fuera de servicio.

Necesitan renovar las instalaciones el elevador no funcionaba y subir escaleras sin accesos a adultos mayores no hay el personal se esmera con lo que tiene

The staff were friendly and great service. The problem is that the bars do not open until 11. So even if you want something to drink like a soda or water at the beach, you’d have to go to the buffet or wait. The hotel is fairly dated and the pools weren’t very clear. However being Spring Break it was very busy. The food was decent with one midweek outside bbq with excellent food. The town and shops are right across the street for good location. They could improve on having at least one bar open earlier and maybe something for snacks between meals.

Fue una experiencia muy agradable asistir a este hotel, la playa al frente es muy linda y las albercas son perfectas para estar con los niños, con diversas alturas y aún existiendo gran afluencia la estancia fue muy buena

I was very disappointed with my stay at the holiday inn resort. The hotel is very outdated and needs major upgrades to the structure of the buildings, elevators, and rooms. When we arrived, they gave us a room that smelled like chemicals and paint. We changed our room immediately. Then we had to wait in line for 30 minutes to eat. The pool water looked cloudy and gross every single day. The property is too small for all the guests they allow. We also had to wait in line to get and return towels, which was ridiculous!!!!! Every day I saw lines at the restaurants. Additionally, the food was terrible!!! it was the same food in each area every single day for breakfast and similar items for lunch and dinner. I’m very disappointed with this booking and I will never stay here again.

This place was overcrowded, had to line up for very poor food selection. The pool was dirty and overcrowded as well. The room was very nice and clean.AC worked, Not an ideal place for foreigners

Todo en el hotel esta sin mantenimiento, la comida mala y poca variedad, cucqrachas hasta en el baño de la habitación

All staff are friendly . The problem with this hotel is black mold. It’s everywhere. The rooms, and down the hallway’s . They painted over it and it seeps through. It was so run down sadly I will be moving on.

Food was great, but it was about the same food everyday not that mu h variations. Drinks were great. Staff was friendly but cleanliness was horrible had to switch rooms, ants, roach, and lizard found in the first room.

En General todo estuvo muy bien, lo único que no nos gustó es la limpieza de los baños que está cerca del snack, todo el tiempo están oliendo feo y mojados.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. They are slowly upgrading different areas from the aging hotel they started with. The room we had this week was the same room we had on our first stay (oceanfront view) and this time was completely upgraded. The beds are excellent. I only had two irritations, one was the patio door, it kept coming off the track making it difficult to open and close. The other was a coffee pot with no coffee supplies. I enjoy a cup early in the morning and this is one of the HI perks for me. Either give guests supplies or take out the pot? Two bottles of water supplied daily which was nice and a refrigerator in the room. There are 3 restaurants, only two were open and crowded on Friday-Sunday. Food was ok, typical all-inclusive offerings. We prefer to go into town for dinners anyway. The staff is amazing, always helpful and smiling. Pool and beach service was good. This is a family friendly resort, lots of kids having a great time. The location of this hotel cannot be beat, the beach is beautiful and proximity to town is right across the street, so if you can overlook some small flaws you will enjoy your stay.

I push just all inclusive as per the rating of this hotel.I thought it'll be a quality service and quality food will be there. The space is really congested. It's not that huge what you see through picture. It looks the space is big, the quality of the food is okay. It's not that great. There is 3 restaurant. Unfortunately, the 2 restaurants are serving the same food and one of the restaurants need, reservation. The drink what they serve to us it tastes watery rather than you feel the taste off cocktail or ale beverage. As an example, if I order a cola, it tastes like water and color. My expectations of this hotel. I thought it is quite good. The price? What I paid is not that great, as is rated as 8.

Llegamos y nuestra habitación no funcionaba el aire, hablé a recepción y nos cambiaron a una con 2 camas(se reservó una cama king), pasamos la noche sudado y con calor, nos volvieron a cambiar a una habitación con 2 camas que si funcionaba el aire, ojo como aceptan grupos el hotel está muy lleno y haces fila para todo, vas a relajarte o a hacer fila, la capacidad del hotel no es apta para recibir a tanta gente, en cuanto a la comida bien, limpieza bien. Es necesario si aceptan grupos que los atiendan en check in en fila para grupos grandes, insisto lo grupos no respetaban las reglas de alberca o áreas en común y teníamos que cambiarnos de área porque traían hasta bocina

This is a nice family oriented all inclusive, offering a budget minded price for the cost conscious. Our room had a nice ocean view that house keeping looked after everyday. The pool is large and the property borders the beautiful sandy beach. Food is average, but dinner was varied every evening we stayed. Al a carte meal was standard 3 choice entree. Both our choices were over cooked, but the staff were attentive. If youre lucky enough to get a festival night, you're in a for a delightful night of food and entertainment. A/C in the room did not keep up to the heat, so we were often to hot. Our room had a musty smell and despite housekeeping using deodarizers, the smell remained. Front desk was responsive to our concerns, but did not follow up, so I give them a C-. Staff are friendly, the grounds are pretty and the property is next to local amenities. Zihuatanejo is $160 peso ride in a cab, or the bus is 38. The bar is open until midnight and is active with loud party music. As a senior, I didn't appreciate the noise, but anyone younger would enjoy. The pool has a kids area then transitions to more young adult and party section. The far end is not connected and caters more to quiet, family side. The beach is beautiful and clean, well kept, plenty of early walkers. It boasts a beautiful sunset. Hope this helps

El lugar se ve lindo al llegar, pero las habitaciones muy viejas, olor a moho y los elevadores dejaron a varias personas detenidas en pisos 7 y 8, aunque el personal ayudó a desatascar, la verdad se sentía inseguro subirnpor ello, el personal algunos muy amables otros muy déspotas, Gro ceros y con falta de ganas de dar el servicio.

La habitación muy bien. Pero la limpieza del hotel en general un poco desaseada. Equipamiento viejo.

The property itself is nice and the beach and pool were great for my children. Most of the staff is wonderful and helpful! The front desk was not as friendly and very unhelpful. When I asked any questions my reply was to go online to get my answers. The check in process was awful and long. I tried calling to get answers and was hung up on 3 times.

The staff is amazing. We feel like we are home here. From the hotel manager jefe, to the chef, to the exercise classes, to the cleaning staff, to the waiters, to the bartender - They are each amazing at what they do and They are so friendly and cheerful.

All the staff were so friendly, helpful, polite, and accommodating.

El servicio en general es bueno, pero se nota la falta de personal en todas las áreas. Las comidas suelen ser caóticas porque los cocineros y los meseros no se dan abasto para los huéspedes, en los restaurantes no hay un hostes que te reciba por lo cual no sabes si hay mesas disponibles y en más de una ocasión por la falta de control nos quitaron la mesa, teniendo nuestros platos recién servidos. En los bares, todo bien, solo que las bebidas son súper dulces, algunas solo saben a jarabe.

Excelente lugar y tranquilo. Habitaciones muy limpias y personal de primera.

The manager was very good to us during our stay and upgraded us to a room with a king size bed and better view. The beach was great for walking and the view was beautiful! Would stay again. I gave my mom a birthday trip to the Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa All-Inclusive by IHG, and she went with my sister. She absolutely loved it…warm and friendly staff, great food, and a beautiful beachfront to relax. She came back so happy and is already talking about going again. Perfect gift!

Varios de los empleados tienen grandes áreas de oportunidad, mal capacitados y poco amables, en especial el Sr. Ramiro, capitán de botones, muy descortés y prepotente. Tanto así que al comentarlo con gerencia, comentaron que el Sr es todo un caso. Mejorar capacitación en empleados. Otra persona en área de bar lobby, no quiso prender una máquina de café, otro compañero le decía que podía hacerlo, que estaba en horario, pero se negó que mejor hasta más tarde. Ese tipo de detalles hacen que lugares así poerdan su encanto. Por otro lado hay también excelentes empleados que son los que “sostienen” al hotel. Reconocimiento para Javier e Iván en recepción, son totalmente agentes de cambio. También Virginia, Hugo y Eduardo de animación, excelentes. Saludos,

Nos encantó la estadía. El hotel muy limpio, la comida excelente y el personal en general muy amable. Lo único que no me agradó fue que al momento del check-in había mucho descontrol, ya que solo había dos personas atendiendo a toda la gente que ingresaba. Además, al solicitar la extensión de mi reservación por un día más, la primera persona que me atendió me dijo que no podía ayudarme hasta el día siguiente porque había muchos huéspedes, lo cual me pareció poco considerado. Afortunadamente, otro compañero muy amablemente me resolvió la situación de inmediato, sin necesidad de regresar al día siguiente. Fuera de ese detalle, todo lo demás fue excelente.

We saw whales daily from our room. The staff was amazing! The head Bellman attended to our every need. 3hkw Payta Water Sports in front of the Barcello Hotel the safe place for a parrasail or jet ski. English speaking.

Las instalaciones son muy agradables, a pie de playa que para mi es lo mas importante, la playa es hermosa y el mar muy tranquilo, el personal es muy gentil, la comida deliciosa, la alberca muy agradable. La cena de fin de año inolvidable, todo fue perfecto. Sin duda volvería y lo recomiendo ampliamente

Good food daily, beautiful surroundings, easy access fro airport.

La comida es promedio. Calidad promedio.

El personal como siempre es muy atento, la comida es pasable, la noche mexicana es genial, lamentablemente y por la temporada, hay que hacer largas filas para todo, para los restaurantes, para las toallas, para recibir la habitación, para entregarla. Se pierden valiosos minutos por estas filas. Pero previendo esto, el hotel es una excelente opción para vacacionar.

Nice resort. Pretty clean. Nice rooms. Good ac. Food was good. Not awesome but ok. Only negative is way to busy. Hotel was crowded. Pools were full of kids. Over an hour wait for buffet. Just way too busy. We wont come back for this reason. Hard to relax when there's more people than the resort can handle

El buffet es malo porq siempre había la misma comida, al menos en el desayuno, y algunos alimentos tenían muy mala preparación

La habitación excelente, el personal increible. Pediría un poco mas de atención en los alimentos no hay mucha variedad, le falta sabor a la comida, le falta variedad de postres. Y en las bebidas solo el agua de jamaica sabía natural.

La comida bastante deficiente, para la tarifa que se paga la comida es muy mala y lo que ofrece la propiedad es poco, a la alberca le faltaba agua y las bebidas del bar de mala calidad. Tomando en cuenta que uno paga tarifas similares en Cancun y la calidad de todo ea muy superior
