Loved La Casa Que Canta…stayed there based on traveller reviews. BEST THINGS: natural beauty of the hotel and property, quiet, infinity pool is really special, check in was easy, and the view is spectacular! FEW IMPROVEMENTS: bed was on hard side, cocktail selection and bartender’s knowledge for making yummy drinks was lacking, food was good but we expected it to be on a higher level.

Its label as one of the best boutique hotels in the world is well deserved. Catering to couples, the service provided at the 25 room property is impeccable. The on-site restaurant, Mar y Cielo, has the best dinner in the whole town and the views are unmatched in Zihuatanejo. Room: The rooms are spread out amongst 3 buildings and grouped into 4 tiers, with the owner’s penthouse being the sole room in the top tier. We stayed in the second highest tier which include the 10 rooms with private infinity pools. The room experience is so well designed that you literally do not need to ever leave your room or see any other humans if you prefer. Service: The goal is to anticipate and tend to your needs without marring the sense of isolated serenity that the hotel provides. Every single member of the staff excels at this goal. I cannot imagine a single way the service could be improved. Dining: Mar y Cielo has incredible dinner options with seafood specials daily. Dinner is open to the public but reservations not needed outside of high season. The views from the restaurant are second only to the penthouse views. Lunch and breakfast are for guests only but we found better breakfast options in town and seldom ate lunch at all. Shout out to Venus for his incredible service as a waiter. Location: Apart from having impeccable views, it is also within easy walking distance to town and only 100 meters from Playa La Ropa via a private entry

The staff is wonderful. The resort is beautiful. Our favorite place to relax was at the saltwater pool. The food in the restaurant was excellent - they received a James Beard award in 2024z. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The resort is quiet, very quiet. Walk to the beach, walk to downtown shops and restaurant. Or, you can do what we did - mostly we soaked up the unbelievable ocean views visible throughout the resort, and lounged. We spent a lot of time sunning and relaxing. Can hardly wait until our next visit!

I have to admit, I’ve had Zihuatanejo and the La Casa Que Canta on my bucket list for many years. My expectations were not only met, but exceeded in every possible way. The location is perfectly located within easy walking distance of both La Ropa Beach and downtown shopping and nightlife. This resort has the perfect combination of amenities and natural beauty. Unsurpassed views of the ocean and city lights. Our Master pool suite was so perfect, we never felt like we needed to leave as the resorts room service and it’s staff were all so eager to take care of anything we wanted. We’ve spent over thirty years looking for the perfect spot and La Casa Que Canta and Zihuatanejo are now our favorite and we can hardly wait for our next trip to this paradise on earth.

Todo bello, la estancia fue muy agradable, la propiedad muy limpia, algunos de los empleados muy accesibles y otros no tanto! En el restaurante del hotel considero los precios exageradamente altos para unos chilaquiles sin proteína, sin ninguna guarnición de acompañante. He viajado bastante y jamás había visto un platillo tan básico y con ese precio. $$$$ Pensé que el platillo era más grande o delicioso, sin embargo no fue de mi agrado. Los precios que manejan en este hotel boutique son elevados para ser Zihua, puedo compararlos con los precios de un hotel 5 diamantes en San José del cabo o Hawaii.

El personal de llegada y salida, restaurante, albercas tuvo una super atención. La comida, aunque con no tanta variedad, estuvo muy rica. Lo que no me gusto es que me salio una cucaracha del desagüe de la regadera, al estarme bañando- yo tengo una alergia media a la cucarachas- cuando le comente al personal que estaba de guardia por la noche para que limpiaran el baño, salimos a cenar, y de regreso, no parecia que hubieran hecho mucho, porque unas pantuflas para despues de bañar seguian en el mismo lugar, hubiera estado bien que realmente limpiaran y desinfectaran la regadera y alrededores; y deberian de poner una rejilla efectiva para detener estos animales de salir del desagüe. Tampoco me gusto que una de los ventanales para salir a una terraza no tuviera vidrio, solo tela mosquitera, porque nunca puedes dejar el cuarto a cierta temperatura media, ya que hace mucho calor, y tienes que tener el aire acondicionado todo el tiempo prendido, y si este te hace daño, no es una buena opción.

The property itself was much smaller than I expected, but the room was very big! They only have 25 suites so it never feels full, so it's good if you want a quiet space.

El personal de llegada y salida, restaurante, albercas tuvo una super atención. La comida, aunque con no tanta variedad, estuvo muy rica. Lo que no me gusto es que me salio una cucaracha del desagüe de la regadera, al estarme bañando- yo tengo una alergia media a la cucarachas- cuando le comente al personal que estaba de guardia por la noche para que limpiaran el baño, salimos a cenar, y de regreso, no parecia que hubieran hecho mucho, porque unas pantuflas para despues de bañar seguian en el mismo lugar, hubiera estado bien que realmente limpiaran y desinfectaran la regadera y alrededores; y deberian de poner una rejilla efectiva para detener estos animales de salir del desagüe. Tampoco me gusto que una de los ventanales para salir a una terraza no tuviera vidrio, solo tela mosquitera, porque nunca puedes dejar el cuarto a cierta temperatura media, ya que hace mucho calor, y tienes que tener el aire acondicionado todo el tiempo prendido, y si este te hace daño, no es una buena opción.

Todo bello, la estancia fue muy agradable, la propiedad muy limpia, algunos de los empleados muy accesibles y otros no tanto! En el restaurante del hotel considero los precios exageradamente altos para unos chilaquiles sin proteína, sin ninguna guarnición de acompañante. He viajado bastante y jamás había visto un platillo tan básico y con ese precio. $$$$ Pensé que el platillo era más grande o delicioso, sin embargo no fue de mi agrado. Los precios que manejan en este hotel boutique son elevados para ser Zihua, puedo compararlos con los precios de un hotel 5 diamantes en San José del cabo o Hawaii.

En general todo excelente y muy buena atención, de inicio como no conoces el hotel, piensas que le faltan letreros o señalamientos, pero despues de 1 día ya te los aprendes sin problema, un poco tardado el servicio del restaurante ya que indican que lo preparan al momento.

I have to admit, I’ve had Zihuatanejo and the La Casa Que Canta on my bucket list for many years. My expectations were not only met, but exceeded in every possible way. The location is perfectly located within easy walking distance of both La Ropa Beach and downtown shopping and nightlife. This resort has the perfect combination of amenities and natural beauty. Unsurpassed views of the ocean and city lights. Our Master pool suite was so perfect, we never felt like we needed to leave as the resorts room service and it’s staff were all so eager to take care of anything we wanted. We’ve spent over thirty years looking for the perfect spot and La Casa Que Canta and Zihuatanejo are now our favorite and we can hardly wait for our next trip to this paradise on earth.

We loved our 4 night stay at this 5 star hotel! We went in early October and unfortunately, we didnt realize that since it's the off season some restaurants don't open up. This did, however, mean that we were one of the only couples at the hotel, which was nice. Playa la Ropa is about a 6 min walk down some steps next to the hotel. There are a few restaurants along the beach there which was great. We also walked about 20 or so minutes into the town area on the North. There's one steep area that we walked everyday but other than that this location is absolutely beautiful. We plan on coming back.

BEST THINGS: natural beauty of the hotel and property, quiet, infinity pool is really special, check in was easy, and the view is spectacular! FEW IMPROVEMENTS: bed was on hard side, cocktail selection and bartender’s knowledge for making yummy drinks was lacking, food was good but we expected it to be on a higher level.

Its label as one of the best boutique hotels in the world is well deserved. Catering to couples, the service provided at the 25 room property is impeccable. The on-site restaurant, Mar y Cielo, has the best dinner in the whole town and the views are unmatched in Zihuatanejo. Room: The rooms are spread out amongst 3 buildings and grouped into 4 tiers, with the owner’s penthouse being the sole room in the top tier. We stayed in the second highest tier which include the 10 rooms with private infinity pools. The room experience is so well designed that you literally do not need to ever leave your room or see any other humans if you prefer. Service: The goal is to anticipate and tend to your needs without marring the sense of isolated serenity that the hotel provides. Every single member of the staff excels at this goal. I cannot imagine a single way the service could be improved. Dining: Mar y Cielo has incredible dinner options with seafood specials daily. Dinner is open to the public but reservations not needed outside of high season. The views from the restaurant are second only to the penthouse views. Lunch and breakfast are for guests only but we found better breakfast options in town and seldom ate lunch at all. Shout out to Venus for his incredible service as a waiter. Location: Apart from having impeccable views, it is also within easy walking distance to town and only 100 meters from Playa La Ropa via a private entry

Lo que no me gusto es que me salio una cucaracha del desagüe de la regadera, al estarme bañando- yo tengo una alergia media a la cucarachas- cuando le comente al personal que estaba de guardia por la noche para que limpiaran el baño, salimos a cenar, y de regreso, no parecia que hubieran hecho mucho, porque unas pantuflas para despues de bañar seguian en el mismo lugar, hubiera estado bien que realmente limpiaran y desinfectaran la regadera y alrededores; y deberian de poner una rejilla efectiva para detener estos animales de salir del desagüe. Tampoco me gusto que una de los ventanales para salir a una terraza no tuviera vidrio, solo tela mosquitera, porque nunca puedes dejar el cuarto a cierta temperatura media, ya que hace mucho calor, y tienes que tener el aire acondicionado todo el tiempo prendido, y si este te hace daño, no es una buena opción.
El personal de llegada y salida, restaurante, albercas tuvo una super atención. La comida, aunque con no tanta variedad, estuvo muy rica. This is truly the most magical property! I will 💯 be coming back. The staff is amazing, the accommodations incrediable, the views jaw dropping….. food and drinks impeccable. Was so sad to leave but will be back very soon.

This resort is the definition of relaxation and calm. The staff were the kindess and most competent. The food is amazing. Within being there 24 hours we knew we would be back.
