Staff are very helpful, easy access to freeway, stayed another two nights, parking the motorbike was perfect, outside the bedroom doors

Property is just tired and past prime. A/C didn’t cool -shower was out of the 70’s-tv required staff visit to get working. On the plus side, room had microwave & fridge. For the price I won’t be back.

The towels and linen were awful, stayed for 4 days and not once my room was cleaned or provided clean towels. Parking spaces are so narrow.

The booking shows Coffee & simple breakfast. There was none. Room card stopped working in the morning. Tv wasn’t working at 1st. Had to wait while they fixed it.

This place is run down and falling apart, the rooms all smell like cigar ashtrays, water pressure is sad at best, water took about 7 min to warm up, got blamed for room below me leaking water. Ice machine didnt work, less than half the lights in the rooms didnt work, tv remote needed batteries. the room i fianally got put into that smelled a lil better than the first was dirty, i found clumps of hair all over the floor, other ppls belongings in the bathroom, wall outlets barely worked and the sheets were extremly rough. i wll not be staying at this property ever again.

Overall a good motel. The TV did not work in our room, they called the administrator and he fixed everything. Thank you for this. Personally, I did not have enough electric kettle in the room, but there was a coffee maker. The room is not clean enough, there was dust in some places. But not critical. In general, everything is good for such a price.

I read the other reviews before my stay and was concerned that it would be awful, but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. I personally feel like the other reviews were a lil harsh. I mean, what do you expect from the cheapest hotel in Monterey. The room was not in the best condition but there were more amenities than I was expecting! A fridge, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board, iron. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfy. I was content with my stay.

Older motel but they are making upgrades: new mattress, wall repairs, fresh paint. Both the fridge and microwave were older but clean, as were the floors. Coffee pot is room was weird; didn't really work, nor did the room phone to front desk. But overall good value for the price and close to airport!

Room was absolutely filthy. Stains on the blanket, period/sex stains on the sheets, entire room smelled like urine, pubic and head hair in BOTH beds & dead BUGS. Management was friendly but the conditions were DEPLORABLE. We checked in at 10PM & left at 1005PM with nowhere to go, but we’d rather sleep in our car than there.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Bathroom, towels, sheets all stained. If i wasn’t so tired i would have left. This hotel needs a visit from the health dept.

The floor was very dirty and you can really see it because the brown color on the floor doesn't allow you to see how bad it is. No towels in the room. No attendance in the office. I went three times to request towels, shampoo, and check in but doors were locked and a sign in the door that they will be back thirty minutes later. I wait like 35 minutes. When I went back to asked for towels, same thing; no one in the office. Wait another 35 minutes. Bad business.

Room was not clean. Smelled like someone had smoked in the room before we were there. The hair dryer looked like it had dried blood on it and something stinky. The bed was broken and leaned to one side and at the foot of the bed. The floor was dirty.

It’s a small, seedy hotel. Our original room was in a corner and was dark and depressing looking. It was next to a ghetto and loud neighbor who was yelling on her phone at 11pm. We got moved to a different room after my husband complained. Unfortunately it was also next to a ghetto neighbor on one side and a smoker on the other side. The restroom was nasty and old and has seen better days. There was mildew in the tub, the walls had aging, peeling paint, the floors were disgusting. I felt dirty even after taking a shower. The walls are thin and you can hear everything the people next door are doing and saying. The whole motel needs an update. It’s so gross and outdated! I do not recommend. Just pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

The room walls were so thin you could clearly hear conversations in the next room. Unfortunately, we were roomed next to a group of men who decided to graphically share sexual exploits and use a cow bell to wake everyone up in the morning. Their loud conversations could be heard through the ceiling as evident from the banging and angry shouts to shut the hell up at midnight. At one point, we thought someone was going to fall through the ceiling with all of the banging. Check-in was nondescript - neither good nor bad. Rooms definitely need some TLC, but relatively clean. I wasn’t expecting luxury for the price we paid. However, we could have done without the “bonus entertainment “. So happy I didn’t have small children with me.

We prepaid a room with 2 queen size beds. They crammed the beds against the walls so you could only get in bed on one side. We checked in and left 10 min. later. This place should not be on your list. No one should ever stay here. This was the worst place we ever went to. We got ripped off. Very Unhappy

It was really loud. There was a constant knocking/pounding noise on the roof all night so I couldn’t sleep the two nights that I was there.

The telephone isn’t working. The blanket is too thin, and there is no comforter. The room is too old and outdated.

The property itself looked nice. However the room was in poor condition. The water heater did not work so we didn’t have hot water. There was a big hole in the bathroom ceiling. Only one of the power outlets worked so it was extremely hard to charge my electronics. Finally there was a lot of road noise and airplane noise flying overhead that prevented us from sleeping well.

The floors were squeaky, the bathroom tub did not drain properly. The faucet sink leaked when the water was turned on and made a mess. However the staff was friendly. Also there was no large trash cans.

Service counter staff/owner, takes hard copy of credit card and I.D. something other facilities do not do. I asked for him to please shred or hand me hard copy and he refused. I am concerned of my credit card info. not to be secured or shared without permission. I will have to report this to proper authorities of questionable practice.

I booked this property due to limited availability in other properties/area on a weekend. The welcome was the "WORST EVER I HAVE" recieved in any hotel/motel in the US . at 4 pm in afternoon , they welcome guests through a "tiny window" where one can only pass credit cards in a low crime tourist town.The window opens into a living room where I can see someone napping on a sofa. My credit card and driver lic was taken and the Clerk disappeared for a good 10 minutes before he came back with an authorization form to sign . US law say you cannot take a credit card from eye-view of the guest. Card Swipes need to be done in front of the guest. (if they don't trust me , I don't trust them either) Language/communication problems . The Clerk started talking to me in a non-english language profiling me based on my name/looks . I asked him questions on the room location but it was evident he didnt know proper English or even when when replying in the language he originally responded in. I had one simple question: is there a room above my room or is it a single level. but he couldn't successfully answer the question and kept telling me that upper rooms were double-queen. The fact was - there was no 2nd level room above my room but he couldn't communciate that. Then there's one more male person (a family member) of this clerk comes on the window and starts yelling at me saying they cannot reveal details on their occupancy. and gets threatens to call law enforcement.

Fire dictator broken off ceiling and not replaced room cleaned and fresh towels once in four nights check in took ore than 40 minutes -| although clerk was nice he was totally inexperienced

Office people were extremely accommodating. I was very grateful after a very tiring day.

We got there around 9pm, the office is permanently closed and used for storage, so I go to this small window with a cut out, something you might see in a really bad area of Oakland. Asked me my ID and credit card, came back after a few min telling me to sign the paper, no "hi" or "welcome" nothing. We get our keys to room 123, we go up and open the door. The room smelled like a smoker lived in that room for weeks and also was peeing in the corner, it was bad. I went down to the front desk and asked to change rooms, a different person came to the window, they said "no" and that all rooms we taken, so I ask for air freshener "no", as I walking back I see room 106 is unoccupied, I go back to the window and say I want 106, he says no we have already been in 123 and someone is coming for 106, I say "its been a few minutes, we didn't even sit down and their not here I am and I want the room", He comes with me to 123, looks around and agrees to change the rooms. I saw him spraying 123 with what I would assume was are freshener, so he lied. 106 wasn't much better but the smell was a little bit better. After an hour we decided to not stay the 2nd night and we would switch hotels. I contacted Hotels.com that night and they told me it was pay at the Hotel so all I need to do was let them know and they should remove the 2nd night. Well surprise surprise when we went to check out the next morning the guy working basically said no to the refund and to contact the website, lied again.

Very good place, economical it is near all Monterey beaches and turism areas.

The hotel was near the beach, which was A huge upside but while staying here you get to notice that all your neighbors do drugs or there is heavy violence in the area as well as the room stop being cleaned unless you tell them.

First we sat at window outside to check in. The reception clerk was fine. No breakfast available as advertised. The room was just old with rusted lamp, soiled chair I would not sit in, bathtub with dirt rings and stains. Then beds were from the 50s hard springs. Worse night of sleep during my trip would not recommend

This was the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in while in Monterey. The woman who checked me in was incredibly rude, unprofessional and unwelcoming, please see Google and Yelp review. She was snippy, lots of eye rolling and she acted like I was inconveniencing her when I arrived for check in. Also, the walls are paper thin, a couple were fighting in the room next to me, in addition the guests above my head were walking so much that you heard the roof creaking all night. Also, lots of hair was found in bathtub. I couldn’t wait to leave. As a paying customer, I deserve far more courtesy than what this unwelcoming place offers. It’s a dump and I would never stay there again. Also no breakfast as described.
