Stayed for an early morning flight. Very limited staff. Booked based on restaurant options listed on website. The restaurant is permanently closed. Our family ended up having our dinner off the bar menu. We also booked this hotel because of the distance to Norman Minetta airport & the hotel offered a complementary airport shuttle. There were several groups waiting on the single shuttle for airport transfers. Some ended up using a rideshare service to avoid missing their flights. If you are looking for a hotel that offers free shuttle service and a nice restaurant, this isn’t it. You’d be better off staying somewhere else with restaurants nearby and using a rideshare service if heading to the airport.

The rooms need an update. Our room was not clean (found hair on towels), recycle in the trash…. I’ve requested to change the room and it was the same situation…. Definitely not Hilton level for the Hilton price. Starbucks- one person working, line 40 min long. Were there for a convention - they should’ve staffed up.

The hotel needs a remodel for sure! Cleanliness was horrible! The group we went with found bed bugs. The pool outside was not well lit I actually slipped and fell into a palm tree. We normally go every year to this hotel and it seems to have gotten worse. I found a huge dead bug inside the public bathroom! We wouldn’t have stayed but we were at a convention. It’s unfortunate that service has gone down hill.

I arrived at the property with two minor children, and the room was not thoroughly inspected or cleaned. On the first day, we found empty cigarette, wrappers, and gum wrappers in the cabinets. On the next day, as my child was about to sit on the armchair, I noticed a utensil tucked in the corner, which happened to be a knife! Imagine my horror when I unearthed it. We wrapped it and took it down for the manager to see. How can housekeeping miss such obvious things? We did not feel safe at all after this incident.

This hotel was old, dirty, and off-putting. I did not want my body or possessions to touch the floors. The carpets in the hallway were very dirty. The carpet in the room was dirty. It seemed as if the towels were leftover from a previous stay and not refreshed. I did not feel comfortable in this place at all. The only reason I stayed is because San Jose was highly booked while I was in town.

I have been going to this hotel for almost two decades for conventions. The hotel has nice amenities for sure, and a good layout for events. On the bad side, they have never replaced the increasingly worn carpet in the rooms, the faded decor, and it is starting to look dated as a result. They have also increased the cost of parking, gotten rid of mini fridges and microwaves, and want to charge you for those now (if microwaves are even available, I only rented a once complimentary fridge for $15.) Guess they are going along with the trend of Silicon Valley: less service for more money, more apps, more b.s.

This hotel is clean enough, but is in serious need of updating. Decor appears to not have changed since maybe the 90's. Carpet is old. My air conditioner really struggled to cool down my room at all. Bed was decent, but the TV was also quite old with minimal channels and a channel guide that was still listing the Olympics which was over for a couple months by the time I stayed here. The place just needs an overhaul.

Everything was old and dated. Door lock had to be swiped several times before unlocking, balcony door wouldn’t lock, tv setting was very dark and unadjustable, some lamps wouldn’t turn on. Thin walls can hear neighbors and people in the hallways.

Upon arrival, the service was great at the front desk. The room itself was a bit dirty but okay. We checked out the dining area the first night and were left a bit offended by how stand offish everyone was. It The hotel caters to those who are staying for business in my opinion. We didn’t feel welcome at all. The next day I was a bit confused on how to contact staff for minor things. I used the number to text the front desk but it seemed to only upset them. I misread one of the woman’s texts about cutlery. I ended up going down to clarify and she spoke to me in a very condescending tone and was quite rude. I had never been to that location and was merely trying to get the lay of the land. I’m so disappointed in my stay. It was supposed to be a fun and relaxing two days but ended up being uncomfortable in many instances.

Front desk staff was not friendly and somewhat rude. We were also charged a $56 for an early check in fee which when I called when booking, was not told about so we did not know until we arrived. The key card mechanism to our room door did not work. It would take many many times until we could get it open and it was not our fault, we know how to use the key card. I desperately needed my asthma inhaler at one time and we couldnt get in to get it until several tries. It was a bit frustrating.

Upon arrival, went to check in and Expedia never relayed our stay to the hotel. The people at the front desk were some of the most rude people I’ve dealt with in a long time. They wouldn’t allow me to speak with a manager either. The bar we went to, to get food took 45 minutes to bring our food out and we were the only people there. This place is awful. Will not be coming back. Stay away if you can.

I hated this place! Starting with check in all the way to check out! Check in took an hour and half reservation was not in the computer and the front desk girl was sooooo rude and said well I’m not surprised you get what you pay for! I was so offended and when we were in line she let some guy walk right in front of us no issue and helped him! We got to our room and it was such an outdated room! Looked out the sliding glass door there was a pair of boxers and a whole pile of dirt! The bathroom had hair all over it! The beds had hair on the pillows! The water pressure was terrible! Could not take a shower and feel clean! Vent in the bathroom covered in dust and disgusting! Half the lights in the room would not turn on! Worst experience ever!!!! Family vaca starting off terrible!

The rooms are not in great shape, badly in need of updates. A/C wasn’t cooling and was told “nothing we can do, if you need to move hotels we understand.” Was treated rudely by staff multiple times in our stay. Was told Airport shuttle leaves at 6, was out at 5:55 and it was gone, was told “nothing we can do, sometimes it leaves early, the next will be in 20 minutes.” Travel to San Jose regularly for games but will not stay here again. (Pic is of one of the peeling spots in the popcorn ceiling.)

The property was nice to stay because it was close to the airport and easy transportation to go to the niner game at Levi stadium. But our room was a bit smelly and needed to spray Lysol around our room to get rid of the stench. Figured since the building is old, there were many outdated items in our room. Other than that, service was great and easy to check in and out.

I've always loved this hotel...been staying here for decades...but it needs some serious care and modern updates. The food in the small bar-restaurant was REALLY GOOD but why is the main restaurant and the adjacent tap house closed? Is business that slow?? Yikes.

Convenient to airport, helpful staff. I missed having a micro fridge in the room and please someone, refill the soap in the shower. "Continental breakfast" very basic - I mean, there is little "continental" about it because european breakfasts are way better. It seemed designed to push you to order the full breakfast. And those tiny, weeny butter containers rather hard to open if you have arthritis.Really??.
