President Hotel

Excellent hotel great location just a 5/10 minute walk from Euston. Russell Square tube station 2 minute walk, British Museum 5 minute walk and Covent Garden a 20 minute walk. Rooms are very nice staff friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is a buffet style but there’s plenty of selection. Also the hotel puts entertainment on at the weekend which was a bonus.

First time visiting this hotel. We picked it due to the location and parking convenience on site which was very reasonably priced. The hotel was very nice and clean. Had a bit of an 'old gentleman's club' vibe which i liked. Room was basic but served all our purposes. Staff were extremely friendly. Restaurant food was good and not over priced. Good variety on the breakfast buffet. Will visit again

Hotel is perfect for business or pleasure travel. I use this place for work and for family trips to London. Great location, close to Euston and main tube lines with plenty of places local for food and drinks. It even hosts the Fawlty Dowers Dining Experience which is amazing and well worth the time if you have it. Hotel is always clean, has everything you need without being to fancy or pretending to be something it's not with a good bar and restaurant downstairs. It's always well priced for London, especially if you book in advance. Highly recommended

The hotel rooms were very clean and modern. I would have liked to have A/C but a fan was provided and the rooms cooled off fairly well at night. The Atrium restaurant was very nice and reasonable.

Everything was just as it always is very clean very efficient very welcoming which is very important. The reception staff helped me a couple of times for which I was very appreciative. Enjoy the food in the restaurant and a lovely glass of wine with very glad to see you had white Zinfandel from California. I have sent an email about the dreadful experience I had with the minicab driver that you arranged for me I think it was with comfort cabs. You might be worried of letting anybody else go with that company and maybe find a different one. I was really quite afraid in the back of that cab.

Having arrived early and hoping to store our luggage for the day we were in fact able to book into our room. A big bonus, check in was quickly done. Room was clean and a reasonable size, bathroom all clean. Very little waiting time for lifts. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel Atrium bar was comfortable with great staff and we had a lovely meal too. Breakfast was another bonus all well cooked and efficiently run. All in all a very good stay and two happy customers.

for the price because it is clean, great staff, has a free water filter refill machine. Has a good place to sit and have a drink and eat. They will hold your luggage if you arrive early before and after checkout time. Friendly and courteous staff. Its very close to the Russell St Underground and British museum. A nice pub very close. I would highly recommend

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in terms of cleanliness. I booked it online from the photos and a three star rating. The photos make this hotel seem great but the reality and the photos are very different. This is a two star hotel at best. The room smelled like mold/mildew even though we left the windows open and had a fan going the whole time. There were toenail clippings on the carpet from a previous guest! I got no sleep whatsoever due to the doors to the other rooms constantly being slammed by other guests around us. I could hear full conversations from rooms sharing walls and even the maid ignored the do not disturb sign and just walked in one morning. We ended up only staying two out of the five nights I had booked and stayed somewhere nicer the rest of the trip. So much money lost on a place that is not as advertised. I didn’t even try to get a refund because I just wanted to get out of there. I dropped over $1,000 to stay here…I’m so very disappointed.

All good - comfortable beds, clean bathroom with a good shower and breakfast was busy but good. Staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Location is very convenient.

The room was small and there was no air conditioning in the room or bar fridge. Had to open the window all night and listen to loud traffic in the area. I lifted the bed sheet to reveal hair from others on the matress cover Not great, especially for the price paid. Good hotel in a central location.

A bit of a mixed bag. The location was amazing. We were close to Kings Cross, The Dominion and The British Museum which was perfect for us. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great! However, the cleanliness of the hotel was an issue. The room was not clean. For example, the bedding was stained. The paintwork is also tired and scuffed.

We have stayed here before which is why we returned. The rooms are comfortable (especially the beds / pillows). Our room was at the back of the hotel where there was building work going on outside. It was rather hot so we needed to open the windows and the noise in the morning did disturb us. We asked if we could move rooms and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We moved to another room which was cooler and less noisy. The bar and food is nice enough. Large open space. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. I’m gluten intolerant and the breakfast manager took me around to check what was suitable for me. I couldn’t fault our overall experience. The location is perfect for getting around London with the tube station about 50m from the front of the hotel (not that we used it much) except to and from Victoria coach station.

Open areas were okay. Room was run down and dirty in places.

Excellently located, just a stones throw away from Russell Square tube station and a great pub, Friend at Hand, also close by. First impressions of the room were soured, on discovering a very badly stained mattress topper under the sheets, albeit rectified very promptly after a conversation with the supervisor on reception. The room was otherwise clean and satisfied our needs. Breakfasts were excellent, enjoyed by us all, couldn't find fault in fact. A short stroll through the delightful Russell Square garden to the British Museum, then on to Covent Garden and before we knew it, wallop, into Trafalgar Square. Brilliant location and would definitely stay here again.

The main entrance hall and check in gave the air of grandeur, the room however was bland, worn carpet, marked walls and a shower not fit for purpose, but it was clean.

Very nice and clean with comfortable beds. Near the tube and still quite. I recommend a stay at President Hotel.

Great location, super friendly staff, clean room and fantastic bathroom. The room is larger than most of other hotels in London, which makes the staying a much more pleasant. The staff was delighted and welcomed us with a really nice bed arrangement for celebrating our birthdays. Only downside is the bed width which was a bit too small for a couple.

Great location and staff very efficient and friendly. Rooms are quite small with no fridge/water in the room. Also, there is no air con..it gets very warm in those small rooms. We stayed in room 177 and 173 both exactly the same, not sure if there is air con etc on other fliers etc

Room was spacious and clean. Only complaint is walls are paper thin. Could hear everything from hall and neighboring rooms.

Good location and comfortable beds. Very poorly insulated door to adjoining room meant quite a lot of disturbance from neighbours.

Great but tv didn't have WiFi as expected. Hotel said they would refund 10% of stay. I am waiting for hotels .com to process refund.

The hotel was great but on the every day we had to ask for our room to be made up. Clearly housekeeping needs to be reviewed and prevent this from continuing

Reception staff excellent - professional and polite. Frustrating having to ring down from my room over and over again for an Iron and Ironing Board but no one picking up. Had to go without which is far from ideal. Rooms are clean and tidy as expected - tea and coffee selection not the best, but to be expected at a hotel like this one. Excellent location and efficient check out process.

The staff working in this hotel (breakfast area, reception & luggage room) were so attentive to all of the guests. I have never seen such good staff. Breakfast was excellent, i couldn't complain at all. Hotel is on the Picadilly line so direct route to Heathrow Airport and down to Covent Garden. I would definitely stay here again if I was in London.

Awful and not sound proof rooms. Was like sleeping with an open window on a high street. Never slept that bad in my entire life. Tried to change room, the receptionist said ok, I left my bag in reception and went out for the day, they said when I came back I should get a new key card and a new room. When I arrived later in the evening the rooms were apparently ‘fully booked’ and no such remark on my room had been made (this time a new receptionist) and I had to pick up my bag again and go to the same room. The new receptionist asked why I didn’t speak to a manager, however how could I have known I was not when reception accepted the swop and said the new room will be ready later? Extremely rude, you ruined my night. Will never ever come back here.

Nice hotel… No A/C … my problem is that I called down to front desk and asked to call a cab. It was not a “cab” seemed like an Uber … he couldn’t take a credit card only cash… we were leaving the UK (we spent our pounds) so he took us to a shady filthy ATM … where I got cash.. felt very unsafe and I expected more… my thought was that the driver was a friend of front desk staff … This should not happen… and I won’t return

The worst hotel experience I ever had! I made a booking at your hotel on February 11, priced at £1040. However, I canceled the reservation on February 18, well within the cancellation window, and proceeded to make a new booking at a lower rate of £858 for the same dates. I received confirmation emails for both actions, confirming the cancellation and the new booking. When I arrived at the hotel, I was alarmed to find that I had been charged the original £1040 rate for the canceled reservation. Over the past two weeks, I have spent a considerable amount of time and effort attempting to resolve this issue with both the hotel and Expedia. Despite providing clear evidence of my cancellation and new booking, the hotel has refused to issue a refund for the extra charge, offering no valid explanation. This situation has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. The lack of accountability and poor customer service is unacceptable. I have stayed in numerous hotels globally, and I have never encountered such a disregard for customer satisfaction. I strongly urge you to resolve this matter promptly and issue the full refund for the incorrect charge. This experience has significantly tarnished my perception of your hotel, and I hope you will take immediate steps to make it right.

Nice location, friendly staff. Rooms differ a lot. Common areas needed a good hoover as same paper rubbish was on the carpet for two days straight.We prefer the rooms at the back as we sleep with the windows open. Breakfast can get pretty busy and is buffet style . Some of the quality of food could be a lot better, especially bread, yoghurt,honey, juices but that's subjective. Overall a nice hotel .

Easily walkable from Euston station, British Museum, Lord's etc. Lots of eating and drinking establishments in the area.

Location was good for public transport, easy walk to two lines. A second chair in the room would have been nice. Breakfast was OK, if over priced. Dinner in the restaurant was horrible. Easily the worst of our three week trip

The room was clean as was the bathroom. The bed was very very soft, more on the verge of old. Otherwise I would have given the hotel 5 stars. The breakfast deserves 6 stars.

Perfect small room with everything you need. Only thing I would change is to add a couple more hangers in the closet. Seventh floor was quiet. Breakfast can require a wait for a table at popular times but the buffet is replenished regularly

Lovely stay rooms are great and very clean. The queue for breakfast needs managing better so more staff on the desk as there were lots of spare tables and staff could have cleared them more efficiently.

Poor service from the front desk to breakfast. No room service..ohhh but a vending machine! Breakfast was like a school canteen. Far too busy, cold food..horrible coffee. Tables far to close. I heard the whole conversation of those next to me. Room just okay. There was nowhere to have a short business meeting with a colleague. The bar was shut and I was ushered out. I was told..we dont open until midday. I asked where I could sit and have a decent coffee...I was sent to Pret! Needless to say..I wont be back!
