Wish there was more to do. No casino, no dance club… very quiet

Everyone was so sweet and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing I have to complain about is that they said pools would be open until 10 p.m. but they closed at 7 p.m every night.

The property was gorgeous with plenty of swimming options, activities, and directly on the beach. Beautiful breezes everyday. Service was excellent!! Food was great, especially Portofino.

The room as well as the entire resort is spotless. One of the cleanest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. The food is absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly. The only thing this resort needs to work on is entertainment. The swim up bar pool didn’t even have any music playing and we were not allowed to play our own music.

Great trip and a nice new property. Food was decent although some were better than others. Coco Cafe was available 24 hours a day which was nice. Pools and property were kept very clean. Beach was clean however there are some rocks in the preferred side of the beach to watch out for in the water.

Spa experience was amazing

The property sits gracefully along a stunning stretch of beach, and the staff graciously welcomed and assisted us throughout our stay. However, we did find the entertainment options a bit lacking, with limited activities available after dinner. Moreover, the hot tubs never quite reached the desired temperature, leaving us slightly disappointed. In an attempt to enhance our experience, we opted to upgrade to a butler service. While the butler was indeed helpful, we couldn't help but feel that the price we paid did not match the level of service received. Additionally, our culinary adventures left much to be desired. Although our expectations for exceptional food at an all-inclusive resort were not exceedingly high, the reality fell short. The dishes seemed consistently cold, overcooked, and lacking in seasoning at most of the on-site restaurants. Surprisingly, the buffet turned out to be a more satisfying option than the actual restaurant establishments for dinner. It was quite disheartening to discover that the restaurants only operated during breakfast and lunch hours. However, we remain optimistic that the management will address these issues over time. Despite these shortcomings, we would consider staying at this property again, but preferably in the company of a group. I believe that sharing the experience with others would make it more enjoyable overall.

The entertainment staff at the main pool were fantastic. They always make sure you’re having a great time. The property and rooms are beautiful with delicious food at their many restaurants. I can’t wait to come back.

Secret Tides was an amazing getaway! The resort offers a great selection of restaurants, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s not a party resort, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. There’s also an on-site bar with live music and dancing—perfect for low-key evenings. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet escape with great service.

Property was very nice. However, they have a “preferred member” access and that takes over the property. I understand to have a dining option and a bar but every dining option outside of the buffet cafeteria was for “preferred members” only. Didn’t find out that the cost was $100/pp for that option. If that’s the case, just add $100 to the room cost and open all the restaurants to all your guest.

Service was excellent, food was decent and the whole resort was the cleanest hotel i’ve ever been in.

I loved the aesthetics of the property and its cleanliness.

This hotel has everything you need to relax and loosen up. I had heard some hotels customer service was deteriorating but im glad I came to one that did not have that problem at all. Customer service was amazing, food was the best Ive had in any hotel in many years, cleanliness and room service were great as well. Only thing that I would say it needs is a dance club and they are already building one. Cant wait to come back after its built.

Very good food quality, very clean and not over-chlorinated pools. Nice low volume ambient music plays along walkways. No air traffic from airport. Rooms are super comfortable and a very good size. Shower had great pressure. Place is amazing. Will continue to stay at Secrets and Hyatt properties. This is a gem. Recommend the Preferred option. Our Butler Jaimie and another couple had Maria who went above and beyond to care for us! Also call out to Coral who was taking care of us at the Preferred Pool. Kind woman!

Not up to what one would expect for 5 star hotel. Dishes and cutlery often dirty. Beach bathrooms (men’s and women’s) often unclean and void of soap, paper towels and even no water at times. Very inconsistent food quality and service. I was non preferred guest and felt restricted and left out of some of activities and services.

We had the best vacation at this all-inclusive resort! Everything from the moment we arrived was seamless. The property is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly well-maintained, with plenty of activities, stunning views, and so many places to relax. What truly made the trip unforgettable was the staff. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy helping guests. From the front desk team who greeted us with smiles, to the servers who remembered our drink orders, to the housekeeping team who kept our room immaculate — they made us feel taken care of the entire stay. It never felt like “just customer service”; it felt like hospitality. The food and drinks were good. We only had one bad meal. Food was your average all inclusive, but overall was good. The pool and beach service was quick and friendly, and there was always someone around to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a stress-free getaway where you can completely relax, be pampered, and enjoy incredible service, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

Our swim up room was wonderful. The staff @ the pools, restaurants & beach areas were warm & welcoming going above & beyond to ensure our needs were met. We may come back in December for my birthday.

Overall an excellent resort - good food, not crowded, beautiful beach, etc. Only a few items that missed: -Check in: I was charged about $140 (USD) more than quoted. Most likely due to exchange rate as they ran card thru their card reader and gave me a 1” x 2” receipt printed from the reader. Staff was unable to clearly explain or provide a detailed receipt. Told them if they would have provided a detailed receipt like we are used to getting in the US it would have been nice. Not sure why a Hyatt property uses a separate card reader to process credit cards… -Restaurants: Most were very good, but the Italian had some confusion with their staffing and we were not at all happy with main courses the night we ate there (thank goodness the buffet was open that night). Buffet was overall very good. -Location of theatre: Resort is relatively compact so the theatre is open to main pool/room areas. Somewhat loud at night in the guest room if they are having a loud show or conference event. -Cushions on lounge chairs: There was some rain/showers during the week so the cushions were often wet. Some were getting moldy.

Ocean view was good. Staff was amazing! Room was constantly well taken care of. Spa was wonderful! Can’t wait to come back! Only thing was that the beach was overcome with seaweed while we were there. But the pool bars well made up for that!

Very new and clean with a great atmosphere

I booked the preferred room with the swing out pool. Completely worth it! The staff always were friendly and ready to help! The wifi is amazing throughout the property. The restaurants were amazing, my favorite was the hibachi. The preferred club bars have premium brands of alcohol. There was activities and shows throughout the day. Will definitely stay again. The best part of my stay was Jaime, my butler. Wow this dude just goes above and beyond. I asked him if he could help me with a engagement proposal and he sure did. He genuinely cares and goes above and beyond for his guests. I recommend everyone with a preferred room to ask for Jaime, you won't regret it. Thank you secrets Tide for suck a great vacation

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Secrets Tides! The resort is stunning, peaceful, and incredibly romantic — the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had. Oceana Restaurant was hands down our favorite — the food was delicious, the views were beautiful, and the service was amazing. The pool bar was another highlight — Angela made the best drinks and truly made our days by the pool special. Our room was gorgeous — sleek, modern, and very high-tech. The only downside was that someone else somehow connected to our Bluetooth speaker in the middle of the night and blasted music while we were sleeping. A separate Bluetooth password for each room would fix this issue. Room service was excellent, and although we couldn’t use the beach due to heavy seaweed (not the resort’s fault), there was still so much to enjoy. One important thing to note: locals constantly walked the beach trying to sell items. It was nonstop and made it difficult to relax or enjoy our food and tanning time. We hope the resort can find a way to better manage this. Despite those two small issues, we had an amazing experience overall. We are already recommending Secrets Tides to friends and family and definitely plan to return. Thank you for an unforgettable getaway!

Service was impeccable we highly recommend off the service alone. We think that Ricky in the outside grill deserves a raise as well as Freddie they catered to our every need. Also bug shoutout to our housekeeper Mari she was very attentive and helpful she decorated our honey moon sweet. All in all we will be back!

Outstanding, from arrival to departure. Professional, helpful and friendly staff. We planned a relaxing, stress free vacation and Secrets Tides was the perfect place. Kudos to staff for making our stay here very pleasant.

The property set up is easy to get around. Towels and chairs are abundant at the beach and pools. You have access to food at all times, meaning at least one restaurant and room service is open at all times. We had a swim out room, our fridge was kept stocked at all times, towels replaced often and rooms kept clean. We opted for preferred and received a butler and access to pool and bar. I would not recommend, our butler had to many rooms to try and keep up with, some days we did not hear from him and our reservations were mixed up. The preferred pool was busier than the other 2 pools but the set up was nice.

I didn’t like the blue shirt gentlemen that were harassing us about attending a Hyatt presentation. We wanted to relax.

The property is absolutely amazing. The food was great we especially loved the Tierra Restaurant. We had the swim out room so that was perfect. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, so the pool privacy was perfect. What we didn't like was the Sales part. After checking you in they literally hand you off to a salesperson who promises a big raffle for a free weeks' vacation that never happened. It's a sales pitch for a Vacation Club. We were supposed to get a $200 resort credit, well they held it and gave it to us on our last day, odd right. If we had decided not to go to the presentation, then we wouldn't have gotten it but that was part of the package that we paid for through Expedia. Would I stay again yes, but I would not want to be almost forced to deal with a salesperson on my vacation. I wanted to relax and enjoy our time there, but they took up almost 4 hours of our last day.

The property itself was very clean, and I appreciated the variety of dining options available. Some staff members were helpful and welcoming, while others were not as attentive. Unfortunately, my butler was rarely available and often took hours to respond to messages. Additionally, the sales team was extremely pushy, which made the experience uncomfortable. Based on this visit, I would not return to the resort.

NICE PLACE TO VISIT ONLY THE BEACH NO GOOD

Property is new which is great. Quite isolated from other resorts which may be a concern for some guests, but suited me quite well. Staff are very friendly and attentive

The property was beautifully landscaped and the accommodations were excellent. The resort staff was very friendly and attentive. They also looked very professional in their uniforms. There were plenty of activities and entertainment to appeal to different tastes. The food choices and quality were very good. A great variety. The pools were excellent and the beach was equally nice, however, there was seaweed covering the beach during that week which limited our use. We would definitely return to this resort.

The Resort itself.... Beautiful... Although its a little ways from the airport (45min) and city. not a problem. Now the only reason I Didn't give 5 stars was because I informed the resort Months in advanced that I was celebrating my 50th and had a rather large group coming 27 to be exact. I had 2 Request: 1. All of our Swim outs be close, and the other rooms at least on the same side. Not fully honored... They had us all over the place 2. My birthday dinner I requested Oceana Restaurant, EVEN confirmed w/ concierge the day of. NO ONE told me it was closed until a few hours prior. So They referred me to Meraki which would've been ok BUT they wanted us to sit outside (HOT & HUMID) w/ no actual Hibachi show.... After almost an hour of over 25 of us standing around in All Black & manager's trying to Figure out what to do w/ us we said F it and made the best of it! They also said IF we wanted our tables together we had to do Family style (with pre fixed items) I'm gonna ASSume since its a new resort they just were not prepared to handle such a large group EVEN w/ ADVANCED notice... Outside of that Everyone at the hotel was very Friendly & helpful! we def Enjoyed Felix every A.M. at breakfast & Mike (Magic Mike at Night! Lol) Myra was also a WHOLE A$$ Vibe. The female Hostesses can be a little friendlier. Food was hit or miss but we also enjoyed room service!

It was a great resort! Amazing staff and amenities! The only critique I have… please don’t water down your higher end drinks like Grey Goose and Bourbon. The meals were excellent, but the drinks were pretty weak. Overall, we really enjoyed this place!

I have been to many Secrets properties, mainly in Mexico, and was once a big advocate for the brand. However, this is my review of this particular property: The property itself is nice and new, but we had several issues during our stay: - Food Poisoning (Salmonela): On our first night, we got food poisoning and had to visit the on-site doctor at 4 AM because it was unbearable. This cost us over $350 USD. As a result, we couldn't enjoy our honeymoon. My wife was still sick two weeks after our return. - Inconsistent Food Quality:The food was very inconsistent across all restaurants. It ranged from good to terrible and even dangerous for our health (Salmonela). I had to return several dishes because they were either not good, not cooked, or looked old. The chefs and servers seemed indifferent and often had an attitude. - Staff Attitude:While some staff members were good, the majority seemed unhappy and were often heard complaining to each other (I speak Spanish and could understand their conversations). They appeared bothered by their work. - Mosquito Bites:During our romantic beach dinner, which cost an extra $250, I was bitten by mosquitoes and developed large rashes all over my face. Upon returning to the US, I had to visit urgent care. This is my honest review.

Most of the staff was great but some were not as friendly. The resort itself is beautiful and the pools are amazing. Food options were limited at breakfast and lunchtime. The buffet is okay and the restaurants were pretty good. The preferred club is worth it if you can get it for a decent price. We would return for sure!

Paid for all inclusive and expected great service. The food was below average and the drinks were watered down. We ended up leaving the resort a lot because the events and restaurants they had were not good. Beach was full of seaweed. Could barely get tipsy from drinks. Staff was very nice but they took very long when requested.

Room and facilities are great. Staff is not very helpful at all; I parked my rental and they splashed concrete all over it and wouldn’t even bother in making sure all cars were out the way. Food is terrible. We tried all restaurants, every single one of them and none of them was worth the wait or the food. I even got a plastic wrap in one of my chicken platters. The one excepción would be seaside grill for dinner, can’t go wrong with steak unless they overcook it which of course, they did. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Booze, can’t get any cheaper booze for what you pay.
