Liked: Proximity to train station Proximity to pleasure beach and south pier Staff friendly Bath The poached eggs freshly made The cooked breakfast Comfy pillows (choice to add more pillows) Easy to check in Luggage storage with tags Disliked: No muesli for breakfast both mornings despite listed on menu Cannot leave windows open even short period of time due to flies/beasties (left open for 1 hour while at dinner and room was infested) One shower gel, one soap and one shampoo sample between 2 isnt enough Gym has no weights or mat Slow draining sink in room More fruit and yoghurts would be good at breakfast I also don't like 2 beds pushed together to make one double bed Overall it wasn't any better than Premier Inn or Travelodge so id probably book there next time or go Deluxe if there's a deal available.

Waited so long at the bar the first night that we ended up leaving. Ordered room service 2nd night which took longer than we were told but was nice. Price for parking was shocking and if we had realised before booking with have gone elsewhere which we will do in future

A few nights stay with the family, and can not fault the family room for space. However, a few little issues: Breakfast - £27 per adult per day and a very small offering. Not worth the money Parking - £20 a night unless you book direct and still £10 a night for space they already own. Saturday Night - Late night rides until 9:30pm are room had a very towards the park which my 2 duaghters under 3 enjoyed, but not the noise when trying to get them to sleep. Would of been nice when checking in to be informed of this. Bar - The bar area is way to small for the venue and the amount ot people staying.

We had a lovely stay the only thing that we found quite annoying is that you had to pay £20 per night to park at the hotel this should be included in the price of the room as some hotels close to the big blue give you free parking very expensive and sometimes there is no spaces and you have to pay to park somewhere else and walk back

Loved this hotel, room was clean and well decorated. Staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. we made use of the new free admission into the theme park after 4pm which was a great perk! Bed was very comfortable. Some negatives were parking was £20 a night which was expensive and room was located near lifts which was fairly noisy late evening. Will definitely stay here again next year!

Not a bad hotel but the Boulevard next door is better in terms of quality. Terribly short staffed in the restaurant the evening we ate there. Not the staff’s fault, everyone seemed to be doing their best and were all lovely, but given that the place was busy, service wa slow. Food was nice, macaroni cheese with crispy Parma ham was excellent. The hotel charging £18 for 24hrs parking 12-12 is terrible in my opinion. Especially when you can’t check in until 3pm. We parked on the street outside for free but it was a weekday so I think this wouldn’t be possible in school holidays or weekends.

Fantastic location for our out of season family holiday. We stayed three nights with a 3 year old. The team did everything to entertain our 3 year old and keep us tired parents happy. The VIP Pleasure Beach entry and exit was a godsend for tired toddler legs and with the team so close we were able to enjoy trips into the tower and piers with ease.

Lovely hotel, but run down, iron didn’t work, no fridge in the room, shower wouldn’t turn off, maintenance said keep turning until it turns off, my misses struggled to turn it off I did it all the time. Would not return here

The hotel was welcoming and the clean and the beds comfortable. Plenty of space to arrange your possessions and plenty of coat hangers. The food in the restaurant was very good and the bar staff friendly. Located very near the sea front.

Very friendly welcome, however eye-watering charges for parking and car charging. £18 parking per 24hrs plus £20 per 24hrs for charging on a 3 pin plug! Luckily, I parked next to a charger, but the space will be filled if left too late. If you can charge elsewhere....do it! Room was standard, however a few hairs left in the bath from previous guest. Wifi was decent in the room. Breakfast was good. Overall a good weekend stay.

We've stayed here a number of times. But this time we where disappointed. Tuesday morning when trying to have a shower. It was unbelievable hot and extremely dangerous. I rang down to reception to air my concerns. The next morning Wednesday shower still the same. If we didn't have two others rooms me And my husband wouldn't of been able to shower. When checking out Thursday. I had to complain wish i don't like doing. But was grated with oh dear sorry about that. Very disappointed respond. Not a happy customer.

We had an excellent stay for the weekend. 2 adults 2 children. The family room was amazing. The children had their own area with bunk beds, tvs and game console. The room was lovely. The hotel gave us a pass to go through to the pleasure beach at the back of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. Being gluten free, the cook fresh food for you and explain what is available. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful.

The hofel is beautiful. Situated on the sea front with some awesome views. The room was absolutely spotless and lovely and warm. The complimentary wine was a very nice touch. The only downside for me, personally, was the mattress was very hard and unforgiving but if you like a firm bed you'll love these. All in all a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay again.

It is very clean, bedroom number 2024 on second floor (double deluxe) was spacious, nice and warm, beds very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Good breakfast. Will return again.

We stayed in a deluxe double room and although the room was decent with a nice little fireplace it wasn’t very user friendly. No plugs next to bed for phone chargers, and if you’re a lady wanting to relax and get ready it’s not very good for this. I had to stand over a drawer unit to get ready and there was no where to plug straighteners anywhere near a mirror so just doesn’t work for that. The food was lovely in the restaurant and the staff in both reception and the restaurant were very friendly.

Should be called the Big Blue Zoo. Walls are paper thin I requested quiet rooms at time of booking and the two rooms I was booking to be beside each other. Instead Our rooms were far apart both on the bottom floor each room experienced thudding at night and early in the morning from above kids constantly running around. When we called Management we were told the child above was heavy footed so we didn't bother complaining again. Children were running up and down corridors screaming very loud parents with no respect screaming and knocking their friends doors and the room next door was blasting music while all sitting I presume drinking with friends. This hotel felt like being in a very scary council estate avoid!

The Hotel to be honest was fair, however on the morning of our checkout we had no Hot Water in our Room to Wash or Shower . We also had a poor reaction from the reception desk when we reported it.

Only concern and may have been a one off but when we arrived back to the hotel of the evening the lift stopped at floor 2 and it was like a comedy film when some is smoking the smell of cannabis was unbelievable how strong it was, same in the morning when I went for a run quite early the lift stunk of it, family friendly hotel for the pleasure beach, hmmmm told staff and didn’t seem that concerned which is disappointing

Not our first stay at The Big Blue and won’t be our last. We had 2 double rooms and both were upgraded to deluxe at check in. The staff work really hard and are very friendly. Breakfast is amazing!

We had a wonderful 3 day stay, the hotel was fabulous, very clean, staff very friendly and helpful, room was brilliant and had everything we needed. We looked out onto the pleasure beach which we loved! We could sit in the chairs near the patio doors and watch it all happening. This didn't effect us at all as the rides only started at 10am and finished at 5pm. Would definitely stay here again. There is a walk into the main central pier but we enjoyed that or you could use the tram. Thank you for a great shirt break 😊

Really impressed with The Big Blue Hotel. Everything from staff, room size, food and cleaniness was excellent. Great location for Pleasure Beach. Bit of a walk to the main town and Tower etc but meant the location was quiet. Bar drinks and food were excellent so mostly stayed there in the evening. Only slight negative was the bunk beds are not full single length so my tall 10 year old was slightly squashed. However the room is otherwise very spacious with separate area for adults and kids. Would definitely recommend.

The room was a good size and very clean as was the whole hotel great buffet breakfast plenty of choices also cater to anyone with specific dietary requirements. Will definitely be going back.Only slight problem was mattresses very firm used to mine being a bit softer highly recommend

Wonderful hotel and great staff. I would advise travellers to park on the road outside the hotel which is free parking. The hotel charges £18 per night. Also I used a local cafe for breakfast as the hotel charges £18 per person for breakfast.

I’ve stayed in Blackpool a few times, but this was the worst experience, I had a problem with my breakfast on the first morning and it went downhill from there. I had cornflakes and used the glass jug of milk in the chiller tray with the yogurts etc. The milk was properly off, absolutely disgraceful imo, also wasn’t cold, so had obviously been left out for at least 24hr open and unchilled. I have other issues I won’t bore you with, The management can’t make decisions and was almost embarrassing speaking with them, using “the owners “ as the excuse. Poor and will t go near that place again.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. There was a lot of noise from the room above on our first night stay. Service for breakfast very slow particularly waiting for fried eggs even though we asked 4 times. Slow service waiting for coffee machine even though staff said that it was new.

Really good room good location. Pity they they don`t take cash the let down was the price of the restaurant and bar £32.00 for two small brandys when I only wanted one and a pint of lager it still came to £18.00.
