Had a great Monday to Saturday stay. The two pools are so welcome on the hot summer days. ( the banister leading down into the indoor pool needs some attention) . Shame the outdoor pool bar is only open on a Saturday,was a little disappointed that the steam room was out of order. But many thanks to all the staff that made our stay so enjoyable.

Stayed for 1 night. All staff were lovely & welcoming. What is not mentioned is you have to leave your car keys with them if using their parking. It was full on arrival, a local pay & display was out of order, but managed free on street parking nearby. Unfortunately there was a false fire alarm that panicked my daughter in the night, and our room was right next to a hallway door & noisy floorboards which woke us up a few times. I did not realise the location of the outdoor pool so we didnt use it which was a shame. Indoor pool is only 3ft deep We had a good stay but hoped for a bit more

An ok stay for the price. We stayed all inclusive, check in at 3 and as we were told they had finished serving lunch we were told we could have lunch as by part of the package the following day however, as nice an offer as that is, check out is at 10:30 and lunch starts at 1pm so not very practical. Parking is not great although there are about five spaces in a narrow strip down the side of the hotel. We did get blocked in and had to wait about 20 minutes until the idiot who had blocked all the cars in was found. The ground floor is nice and obviously has had an upgrade recently but the higher up you go, the more work is needed. Only two can go in the lift at a time so we walked up to the fourth floor where there is cardboard as the bottom panel of a corridor door, extremely threadbare carpeting and a very musty smell. The room was ok, a corner full window so nice views but cold and the heating is on central control so only on at certain times. The entertainment was enjoyable, two good singers and some bingo games for prize money. We wouldn’t stay again but I would purchase my young adult children as a break away for a night.

I was on a Army Veterans Reunion for the weekend & I was able to park in the pub carpark next to the hotel for £7.50 per day, payment at the pub bar, due to the hotel parking is at a minimum, but it was no great problem. Bar was good as were the staff, and we also had 2 singers on the last night of our stay, sadly there was only around 12 of us watching as most guests had left, but the singers were great. We had to leave early before the normal breakfast time, due to having to attend a unexpected medical appointment, but the waitress (Louise) helped us out the previous evening at dinner, saying that we could get breakfast early at 7:15 with her and have some cereals, toast, yogurts, tea, coffee etc. Thanks Louise 👍🤗 All staff were great, friendly, helpful and polite. Definitely use again. Thanks

We stayed for the night as a family of four on the all inclusive package and had a superb time. We made great use of the pool, which the kids loved. The room was clean and tidy, food was good quality and service was spot on. It’s our second stay in the last few months and I’m sure we’ll be booking our next trip soon!

There was a sea view. The room was warm enough. The hotel advertised on site hotel parking. That was the reason we chose to stay there. There is no on site parking. We parked on the road, in streets adjacent to the hotel. Very disappointing. The standard double room had bunk beds. Couldn't work that out. It was a small enough room to start with and this made it impossible for two adults to move about the room at one time. The TV on the wall was badly situated and we had to be vigilant in avoiding hitting our heads off it. There was only one chair in room. One of us had to sit on the bed. Totally unacceptable. The shower room was tiny and in desperate need of upgrading. I found a small tub of Sudafed down the side of the bed between the bed and the bedside cabinet. It wasn’t ours! There was an odd smell in the room. We stayed on the third floor and as I walked along the creaky corridors, it reminded me of the original boarding houses in Blackpool where two properties were knocked into one. This was not what I was expecting from the Doric Hotel! The carpet would have been in fashion in the 70's! I was so disappointed in my stay at the Doric. In my opinion, it is grossly over priced at £200 for two nights. Needless to say, we won't be back and we will not be recommending it to any friends or family.

We had an excellent stay at the Doric. Great value for money .. Room was clean. Some parts of the hotel are a bit dated but it was clean and thats the main thing. Bar area is lovely. Entertainment was fab for all ages would highly recommend for a family night away .

Beautiful outdoor pool area, nice and attentive staff. Can’t fault them at any stage from check in to meal times. Jacuzzi/indoor pool was nice and relaxing. Family suite booked, listing does state it is for up to four adults. Should probably be 2 adults and 2 children. Bunk beds provided are extremely uncomfortable and loud. Would suggest mattress toppers covers if possible. You can feel every bar on the bed frame through the mattress and a loud crunching metal sound when anybody moves. Whereas the double was lovely and comfortable and the two bathrooms a great bonus. Would suggest if more than two adults sharing one night would probably be the maximum stay.

Not the best. Bad creaky floorboards. On the 4th floor that’s all I could hear day and night. Tiny lift only fits 2 people in so if you have mobility issues and don’t want to wait about move rooms

The half-board was excellent value for money with good food for dinner and breakfast. Also free entertainment and bar was excellent. The room was clean and looked recently refurbed with basic furniture as expected for the price and also had a great sea view and plenty coffees and teas. Good location with easy access to tram stop for central Blackpool. Some areas of the hotel are dated with narrow maze like corridors when I went up in wrong lift first time but otherwise a great hotel for the price.

The room was okay but there was a really strong sewage/drains smell, particularly when the shower was used. The mattress was very uncomfortable and the noise levels from the entertainment downstairs were high. The room was clean and well equipped though.

Stay was ok, very disappointed in the breakfast! The room is very small for the cost and for two adults it’s not the most room, the shower was terrible and just trickled out with no power. Only have 1 lift for the whole hotel that takes it’s time is very frustrating when being on the 4th floor.

Rude female receptionist when checking in. Also wasn’t advised if the £50 a night “fee”… was there for a couple of nights, felt a little segregated on the morning first breakfast and felt because I was “poshly dressed” I had to sit in the 2nd dining room and not the nice looking one which actually was better when I got to use it on the second morning. Bed wasn’t comfy. Overall decent for the price.

Efficient check in, great ensuite double room. Airey reception/lounge area and great bar. Entertainment top class. Breakfast starter options good then cooked breakfast served to you. Every hotel employee pleasant and courteous maaking a wonderful experience overall. We will return to the Doric hotel for sure.

Hotel decorated for Christmas. Reception staff really friendly. Lovely clean room had requested low floor & this was provided. Ate evening meal & breakfast both were very nice and waiting on staff work so hard but keep smiling.

Nice hotel, very hard to get parked at hotel but parked just a street away, which was fine. Got in touch with hotel day before to change room this was all done with no problems, but on arrival was charged £50 deposit and told would get back on check out. Checked out was then told will be a few days until it goes back on card which obviously wasn’t explained at check in correctly and was the same member of staff at check in and check out. Rooms basic but had everything we needed, kids running around in room above all night but obviously that’s not hotels fault, swimming pool was small but lovely jacuzzi! Don’t think would stay again just down to the £50 thing. As never done this in hotels before only caravans and holiday let’s nothing was broken so hoping this hotel doesn’t withhold it ?

Overall a pleasant stay as a family of 3. Triple room was a reasonable size. Room was fairly clean but not spotless. Room was very warm particularly on day of arrival. Food was okay but not great quality, a reasonable variety and overall good value for money (half board). Outdoor pool was heated and well kept. Indoor pool had a strong chemical odour. Evening entertainment was good especially for younger children. Staff were generally very helpful. Used free on street parking nearby.

I stayed here on all-inclusive for 2 nights with my 6-year-old. We extended our stay by a night, we were having such a nice break. The food was good, and the bar was well stocked. We loved the pools, and the kid's entertainment was good fun for my girl every night. We made good use of the tram/bus passes that were included as well! The staff throughout the hotel were the real highlight! From reception to the restaurant/bar and housekeeping, everybody we encountered was friendly, polite, and helpful! Special shout out to Jess, Luke, and Jonathan, who did lots to our stay relaxing and comfortable. Thank you all! Big thanks to those who's name I didn't catch. We'll be visiting again for sure!!

Stayed for 1 night to see the illuminations. Hotel is opposite a tram stop so really handy. There is parking to the side of the hotel as well as on the prom, we got a space which was great. The pool is quite small and shallow but the kids had loads of fun in it. Would stay again.

Hotel is abit old school, but comfortable. Staff are a credit to the hotel and nothing is too much effort. Tram right outside makes it easy to travel around, especially as parking is a nightmare. Parked my car around the corner as there is no parking for the actual hotel. Overall a really enjoyable stay

Mixed stay. Hotel was a bit dated but comfortable enough. Good location opposite Cabin tram stop. Reception staff could have been better. Simple things like welcoming you (not carrying on a chat and ignoring you) and when you check out it doesn’t take much to ask if you had enjoyed your stay! Although the hotel has parking be aware that other than a few places in front of the hotel, there are 10-12 spaces down the side of the building but it is effectively double parking so you have no chance of getting out in a hurry. There is on street parking. Only negative in the room en-suite was that no soap was provided. I think this is a basic requirement that should have been provided. No toiletries either although less of an issue. Bar areas and dining room looked reasonable (although we didn’t use). Hotel provides entertainment most nights.

A good one night stay in a warm sea view room. All staff were pleasant and the restaurant and bar staff were very efficient and attentive serving a three course meal which included a Sunday Roast. I had to leave before breakfast. Tram stop is right outside.

Great location. Tram stop right outside the hotel. Literally took 5mins on tram, or 30 mins walk to the Tower/ North pier. Room was clean. Breakfast and evening meal was lovely. Staff were helpful and polite. An added bonus was the indoor/ outdoor pools. My 8yr old loved them. Great evening entertainment too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a great few days. We paid for the all inc and didn't regret it. The free tram pass was a surprise and well used. Breakfast was good made better by Louise and the team .I did expect pastries etc at Breakfast as I don't particularly like meat so was disappointed and the all-inclusive didn't start till 3pm which considering the cost for the package was a little pathetic,hence the title

I liked the room and the staff was friendly enough. Food was below average and the breakfast wasnt nice the egg was sloppy and the sausages was grizzly and bacon was chewy and the black pudding was rock hard.kids enjoyed the pool but changing rooms need redoing. Entertainment was good

Overall good stay but bed small and room door difficult to close. We had to wait 1 hour for breakfast after being seated and the quality was poor for the price. Reception is looking good after refurbishment but limited seating.
