It is an okay resort, the food is okay, the elevators are awful though always out of service and no air in them except one. The resort outside of the room is very hot and humid no air conditioning.

La pasamos fantástico, las habitaciones, los restaurantes, la comida, las albercas, juegos acuáticos y actividades en general perfectas para unas lindas vacaciones. Lo único que falló fue que hubo muchas veces que los elevadores estaban fuera de servicio lo que lo hacía concurrido para moverse por el lugar.

Dea Expedia Customer Service/Seadust Resort Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Seadust Resort, which I booked through Expedia from April 2 to April 6. I had selected this resort with the intent to enjoy a relaxing, quiet experience with my fiancé. Unfortunately, several issues during our stay significantly impacted our experience, and I feel that I am owed compensation for the inconvenience and disappointment caused. 1. Adult Pool Closure: One of the primary reasons I chose this resort was for its adult pool area, as I wanted a more tranquil environment, away from the noise of children. Upon arrival, I discovered that the adult pool was completely closed for the duration of our stay. This was highly disappointing, especially as this was the main amenity we were looking forward to. The resort should have informed us of this change ahead of time, as it was a critical factor in our decision to book. 2. Dining Experience at Big Ben Restaurant: We dined at the Big Ben restaurant during our stay, and the meal did not meet expectations. We just got back from Seadust last week. We choose this based on the “family resort “ title and pictures, and water castle that we thought our kids will enjoy,it was old btw. First, i have to start with the unbearable heat condition in the resort .please be AWARE and KNOW, that this resort does NOT have Ac only in your room, which is not super cold and like it should be . Every restaurant including the buffet area does NOT have ac. The restaurants don’t have any windows open , and zero AC, it was so uncomfortable for us! we were frustrated the whole time, even our kids 7and 9 had a hard time and couldn’t wait to leave and go outside by the beach or back to our room . Only the buffet area has few fans that don’t do nothing! But the restaurants have Zero fans,know this! We used the menu to try to fan our selfs while we waited FOREVER for our food each time we went :( We only booked 3 nights, THANK GOD , because if we booked more nights we would of left that resort 100% to go to another one just because we wouldn’t be able to handle more time spent there. KNOW THIS , THE RESORT HAS NO AC , not because it “didn’t work” but because there ARENT ANY!!! The resort only had 3 boring pools connected to each other,very small, one bar outside only, (not swim up) no-entertainment at night,one night they had a band in the lobby that was boring, so at night you only have to Go to dinner, by the ocean and back to your room , that’s it, the coke was terrible btw. We won’t be back ever.

Public areas lack AC, elevators were often out of service. The food was amazing! Truly a family resort, kids everywhere! My grandson enjoyed the kids only water park. Good service, everything was spotless. Beach has a bad seaweed out break, swimming in the ocean was not very good.

The place is nice but needs to maintained and managed better. You get charged for beach cleanup yet you can't really swim in it cause the algae is past your knees and it's all over the sand that creates a bad smell. The pool is dirty and the filters are not always on. You could just see people suntan lotion like floating right on top. The restaurant don't take reservations and it doesn't matter what time you go. There's always gonna be at least an hour wait. The rooms don't get colder than 78 degrees.

Hotellet var överlag något slitet. Rummen var bra och gemensamma utrymmena dock kunde poolområdet vara större. Stranden är fin men höga vågor så inte passande med små barn. Maten var ok, buffén var bra men den japanska restaurangen ska man undvika. Vi kom tidigt till hotellet men fick ändå inte rummen förens 1 h efter utsatt tid.

BUT the hot it’s self need and upgrade on their AC system the room We stayed at was okay but after a long day outside in the hot you want to cool off and their AC is just not it.! Also they only had two elevators working that DO NOT have AC imagine waiting for the elevator and then it’s packed with people with no AC. Also it was very inconvenient with us because of my kids we need strollers so we would have to wait a long time for an empty elevator because everyone was so cramped up that we just couldn’t fit with our stroller. Overall the staff was supper nice and food was great but I probably wouldn’t go back because of them Not having a good AC system.!

Stay AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!! The worst experience we have ever had, POOP ALL OVER THE POOL, we were 2 adults and 3 children and from the moment we arrived they treated us with a bad attitude, they stole our money, they tell you that the transaction did not go through and the receipt says approved and it is to steal your money and then they do not return it to you, the worst food I have ever eaten was in this place, my daughter got an upset stomach because of the poor hygiene, the pool is dirty and white all the time, SUPERVISOR CARLOS is a person with bad education and a bad attitude, he does not show his face he only hides when you go to complain, the front desk Jiovany also only makes you laugh when you go to complain, Mr. Victor also a supervisor hid and never came back to us or that they had charged extra, everyone here treats you badly, the only ones who do their job well are the housekeepers, THE WORST EXPERIENCED EVER!!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY PLEASE!!!

This property is a complete false advertisement on Expedia. I booked so many trips through Expedia to Mexico, and this property was an absolute shock upon arrival. The entire property is filthy, the pool is an absolute health hazard because of how dirty it is. The wait lines at the breakfast buffet are well over an hour, and the food is just terrible. My husband had to walk to Dominos everyday so our kids had food to eat, they basically survived on dominos pizza and snacks the entire trip. The other restaurants are also terrible, and the wait for those can be well over 2 hours. The property is extremely understaffed, which leaves many guests hungry and frustrated. We really wanted to cancel and book something cleaner and efficient nearby, but none of the rude staff members was willing to help. I cried every single day while there, because our entire holiday was ruined. The property has no A/C so if you ever wondered what the doors to hell felt like, just visit this resort, and you will know. The night of August 18th there was something terrible going on downstairs and it sounded like police sirenses for quiet some time. Than the night of August 19th the entire resort lost power, which led to panic amongst so many guests, who were just screaming and yelling around midnight. A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!!! Then, airport transfer also mever picked us up. I have more to write, but there is no more room. Expedia you need to check your properties before offering them as 4 stars!!!!!

The staff are incredible and attentive. The drinks were great. Food was normal. My kids enjoyed the pool, access to the beach, and shows at night, along with the kid slide area. The property was clean and was staffed according to their capacity. I would return. Thank you!

I’ve stayed here before, but the property is definitely in need of updates! The pool was dirty all but one day of our stay and the rooms have seen better days! This stay I found two cockroaches in our room and that has made pushed me to not return for another stay. Staff is friendly though.

The food was relatively good and there was a wide variety of food to eat, but my biggest problem was that my room was unsafe and the staff didn't do anything to fix it, there were shards of glass in the bathroom, the bathroom itself was in horrible shape with the toilet needing to be fixed and the shower didn't even have a door, we reported the fact that the shower was missing the door to the front desk when we arrived, they said that by 3pm the next day it would be fixed if not they would move us to another room, this issue was never resolved and we reported this to six different people including a supervisor named Mario Rodriguez. Absolutely nothing was made to fix this and we were shunned pretty much the entire time. The elevators were always broken and it seemed as though there was no one working on them, the pool was very dirty and murkey, for an outside pool I expected it to smell like chlorine but instead it smelled like dirty water. The main part of the hotel itself is very hot and there is little to no ventilation. The area of mini golf for the kids smelled like mold and dirty water. The game room with tables of billiards are incomplete with missing balls and everything being in bad shape. The steak that was served in the steak house restaurant was ordered medium but was served blue rare and was not at all cooked. Overall this hotel is absolutely horrible and unsafe I would not recommend this to anyone at all.
The food was relatively good and there was a wide variety of food to eat, but my biggest problem was that my room was unsafe and the staff didn't do anything to fix it, there were shards of glass in the bathroom, the bathroom itself was in horrible shape with the toilet needing to be fixed and the shower didn't even have a door, we reported the fact that the shower was missing the door to the front desk when we arrived, they said that by 3pm the next day it would be fixed if not they would move us to another room, this issue was never resolved and we reported this to six different people including a supervisor named Mario Rodriguez. Absolutely nothing was made to fix this and we were shunned pretty much the entire time. The elevators were always broken and it seemed as though there was no one working on them, the pool was very dirty and murkey, for an outside pool I expected it to smell like chlorine but instead it smelled like dirty water. The main part of the hotel itself is very hot and there is little to no ventilation. The area of mini golf for the kids smelled like mold and dirty water. The game room with tables of billiards are incomplete with missing balls and everything being in bad shape. The steak that was served in the steak house restaurant was ordered medium but was served blue rare and was not at all cooked. Overall this hotel is absolutely horrible and unsafe I would not recommend this to anyone at all.

We spent one week here and it was mostly cold so we were wishing there were more options indoors. We had a king bed with the bunkbeds facing a vacant property with a good sideways ocean view and my mother and sister had a gorgeous full beachfront view in a king room with outdoor hottub (which is misleading as it only had cold-water which was tinted brown.) Both rooms were great and very clean. Very Little musty smell which is typical we've found over the years and the service team restocked the mini fridge daily. The large buffet, the Food Gallery is open for breakfast and lunch ONLY and we had Roberto most days for breakfast and Fernando for lunch. They were both AMAZING and kept the champagne and tequila flowing, water full, and plates cleared. The days they had off however, we couldn't even get water, finishing our meals before a waiter even came over which was very frustrating. We asked for water and it seemed like we weren't in the right sections to be helped. Armando was the poolside server and WOW was he AWESOME! It’s a ok hotel , needs some up dates such is the rooms . Double beds are too small ,jacuzzi unnecessary. The elevator way too hot no AC. The pool need a better care, water was very cloudy and dirty, lots of stuff floating around early in the morning.

My boyfriend and I spent 9 amazing nights at Seadust Cancun, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options, no complaints there at all. Our room was great; we had a king bed with an oceanfront view and jacuzzi outside, and the view was breathtaking. The bedroom itself was great, very comfortable. The only DOWNSIDE was the bathroom. Even though it was spacious, the shower head didn’t have much water pressure, and the bathroom looked outdated. If they could update that area, it would make the entire experience flawless. A thing to note is that the hotel is open, so there is no air conditioning in the lobby or ground floor, which can get a bit warm at times. However, there is air conditioning in some of the restaurants and souvenir stores, so it wasn't too much of an issue. The hotel grounds were beautiful, and the pools were fantastic—perfectly maintained and at a great temperature. Room had a beautiful view and was clean, but needed some touch ups cosmetically and had a slight stale smell. Hotel was pretty large and unfortunately 2/6 elevators were out of service which was slightly annoying. Great food options and great staff. Buffet was great with amazing options and the sound of the Ocean was serene.

Where do I start. For starters the AC was broken the entire stay! We brought it up to their attention 3 separate times! And they assured us it would be fixed but it never was. Terrible communication overall. Very disappointing. The room wasn’t super clean to be honest and not like the picture at all, looks more run down. One upside is that the food was pretty good, the downside is the restaurants are very poorly managed and it causes very long wait times, confusion, and frustration. The staff were okay. Overall, I’m not sure if I would come back again. Please fix your air conditioning and be more attentive to guest concerns!

Amazing experience overall at this resort! Would definitely recommend to others- staff was amazing, food choices were amazing and the view was beautiful. A couple issues we encountered was that the fridge did not keep the items in it cool. Another was that the Air conditioning unit didn’t work as well and finally, we had a hot tub in our room and sadly it didn’t Work.

No information about the hotel when we checked in. The room was in bad shape with some broken furnitures. Especially the bathroom needs an upgrade. The restaurants was always full with a waiting list on 1-1,5 hour and it was also not possible to make a reservation. No Carrousel bar by the water park and according to the staff it has been closed for 5 months. Also nothing to drink by the waterpark which is not good for an all inclusive hotel. We will unfortunately not choose Seadust if we go back to Cancun.

We had a generally pleasant experience, but a very troubling situation needs to be mentioned. While sitting in the lobby, I accidentally left my wallet on a chair. Minutes later, it was gone. Luckily, I had a hidden GPS tracker inside and confirmed it never left the area. I showed security the real-time location, and after that, the wallet “magically” appeared—on the bed of a pickup truck in the parking lot, an area I never went near. All signs point to a staff member being involved, as no outside guest would have access or reason to do that. I was never shown any camera footage (they claimed the area had no coverage), and although I filed a formal report (I have a copy), I never heard back. I doubt upper management was even informed. Without the GPS, I’m sure I would’ve never recovered it. July 30 5:06-5:12pm Besides that, the hotel looks stunning, but service does not match the design. Elevators are slow, hot, overcrowded, and unreliable. Restaurant service is chaotic—untrained staff, long gaps with no open dining options, and poor customer interaction. Most staff were cold and unwelcoming, except for the entertainment team, who were truly amazing and full of energy. Honestly, the property deserves better management. The current team is ruining what could be an excellent resort.

Poor customer service We were charged twice on check in even though we told them the charge had gone thru on the credit card. The refund they gave was not for the whole amount and we had to go repeatedly to talk to the manager who kept saying they could not do anything and the fault was the credit card company. We wasted a lot of time and they finally agreed it was their fault but the accounting department will refund the money but not on the credit card they have on file. We were very frustrated and disappointed and had to leave for our flight without the issue being resolved. Why can’t a big resort resolve this issue promptly? We were there for 4 nights and wasted a lot of time trying to resolve this issue.Manager was not helpful and we waited a long time to even speak to him.

We stayed at Seadust Cancun Family Resort and unfortunately left very disappointed. The overall atmosphere was unwelcoming—at times it felt like we were bothering the staff rather than being valued guests. The receptionist at check-in was not nice at all. She forgot to give us towels cards and we had to find that out on the pool when the kids were cold and needed towels. She didn't provide any information whatsoever about the hotel amenities; food, locations, services provided - nothing. The food and beverage quality is average at best. The hotel is old with poor maintenance. I'd never come back again and don't recommend - inefficient use of money.

Been at other all inclusive resorts, the service by the pool lacked service. The cafe, lacked staff, one person making coffee, serving ice cream. For a place this big, it needs more staff. The drinks at the pool too, it seemed like there was only one person giving out drinks the whole time. The fridge on our room wasn’t working, the lighting in the rooms needs to be a bit brighter. The sewer system in the shower doesn’t go down fast enough. Was content with the hotel, might come back. Walking out to the street and back to the lobby feels like a marathon!

Close to the airport is the only plus, extremely hot everywhere. No AC in the hotel except for maybe 2 restaurants, and your room. The buffet area, lobby and elevators feel like an oven. We spent the whole trip sweaty. It’s one thing to be hot but you would like to enjoy your meal in a cool space. Been to a lot of different hotels in the hotel zone and this is one we will not be returning to or recommending.

We had a great time at seadust resort. We were offered their infinity membership like every new visitor but we kindly declined and told them it wasn't for us and they left us alone. We arrived early so we had to wait till check-in time for the room,but were able to use all the facilities right away. The facilities were clean, the spa service was great as well. It's easy to Uber to additional locations or use public transport for a small fee. The resort itself shows its age and could use some updates however it is kept up well. The only downside was the beach as it was full of seaweeds and unusable.

We really liked the hotel and all it has to offer. But the beach was not as good… Hard to get into the ocean, too much algae… Not the clean white sand shown in the pictures.

Seadust was everything we needed to cheer up our July. It was enough to do without leaving the resort, but if you needed to, there were things close enough that a short walk or bus ride could get you to. I would come back to this property.

Public areas lack AC, elevators were often out of service. The food was amazing! Truly a family resort, kids everywhere! My grandson enjoyed the kids only water park. Good service, everything was spotless. Beach has a bad seaweed out break, swimming in the ocean was not very good.

It is a good clean safe property. Great location. Beaches in Cancun are not what they used to be. Could not get in the water all 6 days we spent at the property. Food at property was always cold. But we had a good time.

The resort is nice. The water is blue, but the beach has a lot of sea plants. Thus, it’s not a good time to visit Cancun in summer time if you want to spend more time in beach.

The property was under construction but was not overwhelmingly loud. This was our second stay at SeaDust with the whole family (mom, dad, and 3 kids). Since the kids are getting older now, we will have to select a different location for our next trip. The resort is great for younger kids ages up to 9, in y opinion. The food is decent. The Big Ben steakhouse was my personal favorite, as well as my family’s.

Terrible dining options, our whole group got food poisoning our second night from the “Big Ben steakhouse” restaurant. Our last 36-48 hours of our 4 day vacation we were confined to our room all sick. The air conditioning was not working properly, trip was a total waste of money. The buffet options were the same everyday poor quality food. Mostly slop . Elevators were extremely slow, staff was rude. Check in process was hours long with the resort focused more on selling us their timeshare vacation plan. Would not recommend this place. Broken door knobs in rooms bathroom toiletdoor would not properly close. Beach front was small not what was represented in the hotels media pictures . The restaurant options all were terrible . Like not subpar completely terrible. Pools were murky cloudy appeared dirty . If it were possible I’d request a full refund . I found nothing about this vacation enjoyable at all. 2 adults and 3 children locked in a hotel room sick from the resort food . Housekeeping banging on the door at 10:30 pm to clean the room is unacceptable as well

Clean room and it was very roomy! Very comfy bed & pillows. Service was friendly & fast. The coffee at breakfast was strong…not the weak usual stuff you get a most hotels. Good food at the buffet, pool bar, the steak restaurant was amazing!

Where do I start. For starters the AC was broken the entire stay! We brought it up to their attention 3 separate times! And they assured us it would be fixed but it never was. Terrible communication overall. Very disappointing. The room wasn’t super clean to be honest and not like the picture at all, looks more run down. One upside is that the food was pretty good, the downside is the restaurants are very poorly managed and it causes very long wait times, confusion, and frustration. The staff were okay. Overall, I’m not sure if I would come back again. Please fix your air conditioning and be more attentive to guest concerns!

It was a terrible experience at the restaurant Big Ben. They don’t take reservations — you just walk in — and there was a long waiting list. The hostess told us it would be a 1 hour and 30 minute wait, but it ended up being 2 hours and 30 minutes. When they finally sat us, the waiter rushed us to order. I asked for a glass of wine, and they brought me an empty glass. They had also run out of desserts.

For me this hotel is average, the hotel is not updated, there are several areas that needs maintenance and they haven't done it. The buffet area is terribly, is extremely hot, I don’t know if they dont have AC on that area, but it was so uncomfortable eating there, also they need more waiters, the buffet gets a lot of people and it was hard to get someone to help you. On the day that we arrived they offered us this coupons for activities but the catch was to assit to a breakfast, we went to the breakfast but what they really wanted is to sell us a membership and when we didn’t accept that they got upset, and technically they were saying to us just bc we live in the US we make money and we could afford the membership, we were very uncomfortable because they were kind of pressuring us, and specially the last man (a bold man) that came to us he was rude and overbearing. To be honest this is our last time that we are coming to this hotel. The only good thing that they had was the food.

We had a fabulous couple of days with our four kids. Bernardo was so funny and particularly made our experience better. The staff was nice the food was good. Building itself a bit dated but overall clean and enjoyable. Safe for families!
