Fine. Cheap and had parking. Bed was in poor state of repair.

Now I appreciate it was a single room whilst I was working away but the toilets had no hand wash at all across my floor. Shower was dirty and the wifi did not work. Documents in my room for the wifi were for a router that would not appear. All QR codes to join the wifi did not work. Bed was comfortable and facilities in room were ok.

Room needs some ventilation, there was odour smell. Otherwise the room was quite big enough. Toilet was nice and clean but the shower needs repaired otherwise water was hot enough. Check-in was easy. Parking was available at front. The WiFi was not working at all you have very low internet connection in building. After correction of these issues it was not bad at this price.

We like the Pebbles guest house.We have stayed twice now.Very good value for money.Just one thing is the code on the front door we found it hard to open luckily someone else that stayed there helped to open the door so all was good in the end.

This property hasn't much in kerb-appeal and, to be honest, that doesn’t greatly improve once you are inside. What it does offer, however, is amazing value for money. OK, there's no breakfast but, even allowing for that, a large room with 2 double beds and a private bathroom was half the price of pretty much anywhere else. The room was generally very clean and reasonably comfortable. One bed needed a new mattress (we told the owners) and it would have been nice to have had some pictures on the walls, and even lampshades, but it was the basic room after-all! :) Parking is available but you are unlikely to get one of the 4 or 5 spaces if you go out for the day. That's not too much of a problem, though, as there is plenty of free-parking on the nearby side roads. There are plenty of pubs nearby and a brilliant, if expensive, pizza restaurant down the road called 'What a Pizza!' I stayed with my 13yr old son and he felt safe and loved his own double bed

Me and my friend booked this place as it was quite close to where we shared a house as students 6 years ago and the charm was the same, for us it was a familiar and comfortable stay - the staff were lovely and helpful too, rooms were very nice and it was great value for the pricing. If you don't mind a shared shower, toilets and kitchen area, definitely give it a go. My one critique of the house was that the door locks were a little finicky, a few times me and a few other guests got stuck trying to get into rooms.

I had been slightly apprehensive after reading some poor reviews, but it was fine. Definitely more "student house" than "hotel" but perfectly adequate for a night. I was aware of other people in the house, but not disturbed by voices or traffic noise, and the door code system felt safe and secure. My only complaint is the lack of human contact in the checking in process. A phone number is given with advice to ring at least 24 hours before arrival, but it seems not to be manned. After a bit of detective work I made contact by email, then I received a reply that I would be given check in details at noon on my arrival day. This did happen, but I wasn't able to ask a human being if there was a kettle in the room (there was), a TV (there wasn't) or parking space (there was, but more by luck than design).

Property not in great condition. Their key locking system is terrible and we could not get back in after a night out. No emergency phone number so had to phone other hotels in the area in the hope of getting somewhere to sleep. Luckily another guest arrived who said this also happened the previous night to them. He jumped over the fence and went through a back door to then open the entrance door from the inside. NOT what you want to deal with at 2am. I definitely do not recommend this guest house. Regarding the room, the curtains could not be pulled closed properly and too small for the window. Just a bare bulb on the ceiling and no lamp.

First of all, its close to the train station and various busses which is a bonus. the price of the room was a bargain and provided what we needed just fine, a bed, tv, kettle, cups, shower? toilet and cupboards, so 5* for that. we were on top floor which wasnt mentioned on the room directions on the ground floor, just said to room 21 but missed out 22. there was no plug in the sink and no details for the free wifi so couldnt get internet. the checkout time advertised was 11 and the door lock details sent later stated 10 which was not good. i didnt keave till 10.30 after the cleaner knocking the door at 10.10. i shouted i wasnt ready and wasnt leaving till 10.30. so bad service there. just a minor thing, when you flush the toilet, you then hear a loud whining sound in the pipes for a while and the water took a long time to drain in the shower. i got no response at all from the property agent which i thought was bad so had to contact the agent who tried to contact the property but again, no luck. overall, bad customer service but an overal nice room at a perfect location with a safe digital lock. having a tv was great.

Didn't look the best from the outside but inside is well taken care of, very clean and smelled clean too. Front door was broken and couldn't open from the outside which wasn't great, and the side door was never locked. That said, we had a pleasant stay with plenty of space, our own clean bathroom, kettle and supplies, TV, towels and good WiFi. The kitchen downstairs had items available for guests to use, as well as washing machines and a guest fridge for storage. The fan in the bathroom made a strange noise, one of the beds was very lumpy and the door lock was a bit fidgety but a pleasant stay as somewhere just to put your head down. No staff onsite and couldn't connect to the company on the phone, which maybe needs looking at. Parking available out front or on the street, 10 mins to town and 20 mins to Paultons Park. Would come back.

Room was dirty, sheets were dirty, hole in wall, cold tap didn't work. I ended up booking another place and never stayed, it was disgusting!

We arrived at the hotel after a long 6 hour drive from North Wales to discover the door unlocked and open. My 10 year old son required the toilet so immediately went into the toilet in the room and when he turned the lights on there was this really loud noise coming from the extraction fan that wouldn’t turn off/quieten down. We then decided to check the beds out for their cleanliness and much to our dismay and disgust the bed sheets were riddled with dirty disgusting stains. We then noticed the so called keypad on the outside of the door- room 10 wasn’t working so we couldn’t leave and go for a walk as planned as we wouldn’t have been able to get back in if we had shut the door. I tried calling the property owner however it went straight to voicemail despite selecting the emergency option. We then decided to leave and not stay overnight due to reasons listed above. It’s an absolute disgrace you are adverting this hotel and taking peoples hard earned money when it isn’t up to the minimum standards. I expect a full refund with immediate effect as it’s cost me another £100 to book and stay in another hotel that is fit for purpose!!

The room was dirty the bathroom was mouldy. (Lack mould around shower. The bed must be at least 20 years old as you could feel every springing . We both had to sleep on the to of the covers to add a little bit of padding . This was too protect us incase you he springs came through. The carpet was so dirty we could not remove our shoes. Check in was fine there was tea and coffee all good but when it came to bed time that’s where it went down hill. Bed time come and I got in bed and after a few mins I felt something crawling on me turned the light on to fined some bugs on me and in the bed there were about 10-15 of them altogether I phoned the contact number and was put through to some body that asked me to send him some pictures so I sent him a video of them and all he could say was I’ll come to the room in the morning he came and said there was a pest control person coming at 10:30 he said that he would issue a refund but haven’t yet received it. I never slept all night. And had my daughter the following day so was so tired and only see her on every other weekend so was not happy. And I had to drive bk the same day I did ask if they had another room for the 26th to the 27th instead of a refund that way I could see my daughter then I could of gone bk and got some sleep but was told we have nothing available

The “Guest House” (we’ll use the term lightly) was less sanitary and accommodating than I’d imagine a stay at auschwitz was. The entrance is through a communal kitchen and then laundry room for the multi occupancy flats above. The room was filthy, stunk of smoke, ash and mould. Had paint peeling off the walls, ash and mould in the shower, drug paraphernalia bags in the toilet, filth everywhere, no central heating just a single small electric fan heater and was about as enticing as a week away with Fred and rose west. If criminals spent a week there instead of 6 months in prison luxury they would atop reoffending.

The room was not cleaned. Dirty tea cup on table and stirrer on floor, dirty bedlinen.

The room was dingy, you could feel each spring in the bed's mattress, the room had a unpleasant smell, the towels smelt of sewage. I could go on, but it doesn’t get any better. This is the worst guest house I have ever stayed in.

Only good for a single night. Felt slightly unsafe in area. Put a chair against the door as main front door wouldn't close. People arguing outside throughout night. Busy road outside. So plenty of noise. Exposed areas inside room. Rubbish shower.

I visited Pebbles Guest house last night as it was close to the Hospital and my daughter had a Major Operation booked today so we needed to be close and were on a very limited budget. I am not entirely sure what or who was staying at the hotel on the night of our stay but we were greeted by a drunk woman on the door asking if we lived there and a man smoking weed out of front first floor bedroom window.The room itself was dated but very clean and secure from the inside so we decided to make the best out of a bad situation ( We Should have gone home !! ) The noise in the Guest house was unbelievable. Doors slamming people shouting and running up and down the stairs a majority of the night. The rooms are not soundproof and we were awake until 2 am with the sounds of two sets of people having very loud sex. All in all we ended up with 4 hours sleep in what was ment to be a restful stay in a guest house before a nasty op....Spend the extra money people and steer clear of Pebbles Guest House

Bed could really do with a new mattress or at least a topper, as there are springs that can be felt. Other residents need to be reminded to not let the doors slam or they should be fitted with closers. Was woken at least 3 times late in the night and then abruptly at 7.30am by the room next to us.

No parking, no wi-fi, bed is uncomfortable and it had springs poking, a pile of electrical cord in the room looks so unsafe. Main front door the code doesn’t work from outside. Kettle was across the room the base on the other side..no TV, no towels in shower, no soap or shower gel , nothing..

Er lagen haren op de badkamer vloer en de gordijnen bedekte maar een deel van het raam. Aangezien we op de begane grond zaten, kon dus iedereen naar binnen kijken. Het personeel was behulpzaam. De bus was dichtbij. In de ochtend waren andere gasten in de hal en keuken aanwezig die hard praatten en naar elkaar riepen van de uiteinden van de hal. Dit was voor ons erg goed te horen, waardoor we niet meer konden slapen.

Room was a good size with own sink, no tv in the room so being entertained in the evening was difficult, screw sticking out side of bed. Okay for the average travelling buisnessman

The only good thing about the place was the proximity to shops! For starters, you can’t get in the front door! Always have to use the rear access! The room was disgusting, very dirty with numerous marks and damage. The cleanliness was appalling, my room was riddled with little fruit flies and I mean riddled, I’d kill 10 and within an hour there would be more! The fire alarm went off at midnight one night and it’s a good job I’m a fire engineer and knew how to reset the box otherwise I wouldn’t have slept at all! The bed was broken and collapsed! The heating doesn’t work! I have no good words about the place. There’s always a company van parked in one of the parking spots also, I really wouldn’t be advertising the place and forcing guests to park on other streets! Avoid avoid avoid!

Dirty outside the property, entry coded doors would have helped if I was given the codes. It took a while to contact the landlord to require the codes. My booking was for room 6, but after many attempts to get in the room I found someone to help. Only to find someone else’s property was in the room. Contacted landlord again, luckily he found another room. Room 2 was basic, fresh bedding, clean towels. Overall quality 3/10.

There was no one at the property and I received no email on the code to get in. This is a scam and has been reported to the police. A red car outside has been photographed and is reported also. I was late for a family christening and monies are now owed to me for being taken in this scam. The accommodation that I had to take which the scammer needs to pay for has said that Peebles are known for this and it has happened this week to someone else. I need full reembursing this week

Our room was pretty good, but as we walked in we met someone leaving who refused to stay because of the condition of his room - he wished us luck. Communication was terrible - 4 tries to find out how to get into the building/room - hint to everyone - you will get the info about 1 hour before you arrive at the place on Whatsapp. That is ok if they would only say that. We were ignored for a week-they could have just said that first time and all would be fine.

When I arrived at the property the room I was allocated was already in use. I tried calling multiple times but no one picked up. The maintenance team picked up and apologised but said they could not do anything as this is not an emergency. Stranded outside the place, I had to book another hotel room. I sent them multiple messages and emails and tried calling them and got no replies. I raised the matter with Expedia and after a long back and forth I got my refund from them. I recommend not booking this place under any circumstances as it’s unreliable and unsafe, and if something goes wrong, there is no one to call or reach out.

This property should not be listed as offering accommodation. I believe they are a rip-off group that pretends to offer something they cannot deliver on. They did not answer the contact number given on multiple occasions so we could get an access code etc. This caused us to seek accommodation else where at our expenses. Shame on them for false advertising - should have taken greater attention to others feedback and reviews. I suggest wotif.com disassociates themselves from this property group, or they too will loose customers.

I was unable to access the room because, the key lock outside the room the hotel emailed me with the details for was empty! I was unable to contact either the property or Hotels com so was left stranded after 11pm at night and had to book another hotel.

They double booked our room, didn’t communicate with us and had to spend more money on finding somewhere else to stay. Absolute joke. Not even offered a refund nothing.

The man who checked me in was very helpful. The room was big and bed was comfortable. Given loads of tea and Coffee in the room for your stay. Would definitely stay when if I’m in the area

We booked the property, have got the confirmation from the expedia.co.uk, but didn't get the pin code for the room in the property. We try to contact the expedia, but we didn't get an answer from virtual agent. Then we tried to call to property contact number, but nobody pick up the phone, have got just an automatic answer. Later we received a call from responsible person for the property, which promise to help us with the room. We waited more then one hour but nobody helped us to solve this issue. We were so upset angry tired and disappointed with the child In the midnight left this place and tried to search somewhere to sleep. Sorry, we had so bad experience with this property. WE could not recommend this property and expedia.co.uk. WE hope that's after all we will get full refund from expedia.co.uk.

Very good location but not easy to parrk. Front door with problems to open dur the broken handle. No tv . No light switch. Ok for the price

Hard pressed to find better value for money than here. Bit of a walk to the city centre but not too bad.

This property was very cheap I saw the reviews and was a bit apprehensive but the room was spacious clean and easy to get to cruise terminals and shops we got a taxi was only £5.50 Arrival at the guesthouse was easy and access was great we had a code sent no keys to worry about room was ready early so we had early access Yes you can get better rooms with dorma bedding plush carpets and amazing bathrooms but it’s Southampton it’s the main city for cruises and rooms and hotels are expensive For what we paid I was happy and it was clean Maggie was very nice and chatted and made us feel welcome I would definitely stay again when going on a cruise

Read the mixed reviews but certainly couldn’t fault the room we had. Very helpful at check in when I made a mistake with the code. 15 minute easy walk to the station but uphill from the station.

Easy and straightforward, only needed a wash and sleepover so ideal

Stayed for 1 night in the quadruple room. We had a lovely stay, the room was a generous size and generally clean. The location is great, just a short walk to the main street with lots of options to eat and drink. Room came with tea/coffee making facilities and a toaster as well as a large fridge. The only thing missing was a tv. Parking is very limited, we managed to find a spot around the corner. The staff and service was excellent, could not fault them. Answered any questions I had quickly and when I had a bit of trouble with the keypad to get back into the room, I had immediate help and assistance. Overall for the price paid, it was excellent, would happily stay again. Thank you.
