College Inn Hotel

place is good and is historic, dorm like. Two things to consider before booking. It is unfit if you have luggages as there is no elevator. We were sent email 1 day before on this too late to make changes. Bathrooms are shared and one per floor - this was disclosed few days ago along with parking constraints. Out of town visitors should be careful if you have luggage or other disabilities. I am unsure about other accessibility friendliness so no comments

Our 3rd floor corner room with private bath was great! Fans and windows open made it pleasantly cool with sixty-three degrees at night. Nice sized very clean bathroom with window for ventilation. Great common area on 4th floor with coffee and water cooler to fill bottles. Comfortable beds and pillows. Can’t get more convenient to visit UW.

It is a beautiful hotel in a good location. ONLY FOR YOUNGER PEOPLE. There is NO ELEVATOR. We had a TON of luggage we had to carry upstairs. No where downstairs to store luggage. Was comfy, pretty, and safe. No AC but the windows were nice and cool. Ran by college students.

What we did not like? Property does not have parking belongs to hotel. We ve been told to park our car to nearby garage which was not convenient due to our heavy luggage. It was couple of blocks away. Then we told hotel service to give us other parking options. They told us to do street parking. But we also didn't risk. At the end, we had to park our car to empty field behind the hotel with our own risks. I couldn't sleep until morning by thinking car’s condition.

Nice clean, cozy room. But pricy for what it is. No elevator, AC, microwave, fridge in room. Parking for extra charge limited and 2 blocks away. Entrance to lot hard to locate at night. Location of the 3 reserved spaces extremely hard to see and find in the dark. Printed info about that needs improvement...like a simple map of the lot itself, not just its street location.

The College Inn Hotel can’t be beat for location, value and constantly improving their facilities. I appreciate the remote assistance via text but quickly appear in the flesh when needed!

I stayed in a room with the bathroom down the hall. During my 3 day stay there no one else was in the bathroom while I was using it so it felt like my own large bathroom! The loft on the 4th floor provided a kitchen with full size frog and all the needed kitchen items, much better than what is available at a motel!

Unexpected that it was a hotel with shared bathrooms, didn't realize this was the case when I booked. Excellent location, right at the end of the U of W campus. Pub, restaurants, and coffee below the hotel. Uses a pin to get into the front door and your room (rather than card keys). Microwave and fridge available in the common space. Relatively low cost. No frills, great for a singlr traveler with twin bed options. Not your typical hotel, there are a few trade offs that, in my opinion, are well worth it for a business trip.

This is a delightful, old-fashioned inn. Although the property is old it is in good condition ( except for creaky floorboards). Everything has been updated and even the shared bathroom is sparkling clean. The location is great: just around the corner from the Meany Center. It would not be accessible for someone with major mobility problems, but otherwise it's a great choice.

We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom, and it was a fun, unique experience. The bathroom and showers were very clean- and I appreciated having a key code for the women’s bathroom. This is a great, historic hotel!

Even though it is an old building, but; 1. The common areas are CLEAN! 2. The shared bathrooms are CLEAN! 3. The room is CLEAN! 4. The private toilet is CLEAN! 5. The towels are CLEAN! 6. The hotel staffs are friendly! Excellent hotel, other than - they do not have an elevator

The room I stayed in smelled of mold. There were 2 room fragrances on, it was overwhelming. I tried to open the window to air the room but the window was just over the kitchen’s vent. There was a tower air cooler/vent in the room, the filter probably has never been replaced, you could see large chunks of dust abd debris. The carpet looked very dirty and had black smudges on it. It was a very difficult and disturbing stay for me. The only benefit it had was it’s location as I had an interview with UW. They should definitely consider closing the hotel a couple of months and seriously renovate the building. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

I had a WONDERFUL week long stay at the College Inn Hotel. The building is so full of character, and very clean. My room was very clean and comfortable, and I was even pleasantly surprised that I could log onto my streaming services. Everyday I had a ton of food options right on the same street, and the light rail and bus stops were very close. I loved exploring the undergrad campus from right across the street. The staff was basically always available if I had a question, and they were very kind and helpful!

The room was clean and smelled great (kudos to the cleaning staff!). The bed was very comfortable. Finally, the price was moderate. Would definitely book again.

Housekeeping never came to take out trash or make beds, bathrooms minimally cleaned. Rarely staff in lobby, always had to call front desk and wait for someone working somewhere else to come down. Found out upon leaving that hotel front end staff positioned on 4th floor and not lobby. No insulation in room, could hear all of the goings on from the street, and upstairs neighbors.

The College Inn was clean and comfortable with charm and character. Only disadvantage was there was no air conditioning, and on the two days we were there, it was hot!

Eating choices nearby were great and so was transit with the flixbus long distance blocks away and same with the lrt. Rooms were quaint yet cozy thou no AC so had to rely on fans to stay cool. Shared bathroom and showers were kind of meh though in suite lav sink was there for brushing of teeth n grooming. Would repeat as it is in a great location away from dt and limited exposures to sketchy crowds as mostly students living nearby.

Advertized Queen bed was a Full size.

Perfect location for enjoying UW and the University District. More of a hostel format. Some private bathrooms but you have to request them and pay extra. TV and bed but no dressers or closets. Comfortable bed. Strong WiFi. Secure building. Limited staffing in evenings. Walk-up so be prepared for stairs.

cute hostel vibes; overall the place seemed clean and taken care of. The only downside is the walls are paper thin and the man in the room next to us was constantly coughing and talking to apparently himself and we could hear every single cough

It is a quaint place to stay. It is an extremely convenient, walkable and a quiet location. Using a pass code to enter the inn and our room was awesome. The upstairs common area with kitchenette facilities was a unique and very convenient surprise touch. The one drawback for me was the thin walls and being awakened at 6 am on a Sunday morning by some loud person banging shower doors as they got ready in the morning.

We upgraded to the bedroom with the bathroom and the room was super cute. It was clean. One thing we didn’t like was no AC just a fan but it wasn’t terrible. Everyone was friendly.

Although the room is beautiful and the beds are way better than the last two three star hotels we have stayed at, because there is no AC we had to keep the windows open (during the summer) and because there is a bar downstairs, we could hear people's conversations outside the hotel.

We loved our stay at the college Inn. The only problem was the room was a little cold, and the TV only had about 10 channels. Otherwise, it was very comfortable and cute.

Our room at The College Inn was great - plenty of space and very clean. I would have rated higher, except for a couple of issues. I had reached out the week before our stay to ask about a parking pass and see if there was any way to pick up our room key early (I was going to be nearby a couple of hours earlier than check in, but wouldn’t actually need to be in the room until late they night, so I didn’t think to ask for early check in). I quickly got a reply that we were approved for parking and a late check in, but no mention of whether we could pick up the room key early. I didn’t push further, but it was just a little off putting that the question went unanswered. We ended up getting the parking pass early and got instructions for late check in. When we came back after our event, we tried following the late check in instructions, but couldn’t understand which key pad to enter the code in. Unfortunately we ended up waking up the after hours support to help us get into the building. I felt terrible, but a little more clarification/detail in the instructions would have been helpful. Lastly, I was left a slip to sign to approve payment for our room, but there were no pens in the room and I didn’t have one on me. I had to walk down to the lobby and back up to our room on the third floor. Minor inconvenience, but most lodging establishments usually leave a pen and notepad in the room.

Hotel staff are really friendly and helpful! Just right on the corner of the campus, close to all facilities. Recommend to parents or short term visitors for sure!

The staff went above and beyond! I had 3 heavy suitcases and they helped me carry them up. I also dropped off bags in the morning before check in because I had to go to work so then when they assigned me to a room they moved my suitcases into it for me. Really appreciated this as my trip was to move into the city! Really friendly!

The reception was very kind and helpful even during late night check in. The top floor common area was very nice with free water and coffee. I wish they had a hair dryer in the room.

I have two daughters that attend UW and I have stayed here several times. During this past stay I had several customer service and safety concerns, the major one being that the front door was left unlocked at around 11pm. I emailed the Inn directly to address them the next day and was indirectly told I was being untruthful. Michael, the manager, took the time to review the camera to count the number of coffee cups, but not take the time to confirm that the front door was left unlocked. I'm shocked by the utter lack of accountability and lack of concern for his guests safety.

Very cozy and nice, extremely convenient near the Rail Station and nearby eats! I will say the extra fans provided really helped and staff went above and beyond to help us even after hours when its just for emergencies. We really appreciated that, will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Stayed heee while competing at UofW track event. Great hotel; very close to University; was able to walk to Meet. Staff was great!

Great location close to the University of Washington

A quaint and charming euro-style hotel right in the U-district. I love the character of this place and that you are close to downtown Seattle without being right in the downtown core. No onsite parking but there's usually lots of street parking, even though parking is quite expensive during the day. My favorite part about this hotel is the cushioned bench seat that runs along the window of each room. Great place to bask in the sun on a nice warm day. One of my favorite places to stay in Seattle!

This is the hotel most convenient to the University of Washington and that adds great value. The double room with sink snd shared bath was comfortable and clean. There are lots of student eateries, but one needs to get an Uber for finer dining.

Location, location location if you have a child that goes to university of Washington this is the perfect spot to stay for a parent.

You can’t beat the proximity to UW main campus and the Link.

Walking distance to UW stadium and campus. Lots of places to eat. Great stay overall!

Absolutely wonderful stay. Friendly host welcomed us for a quick check-in, and allowed us to store our bags after check-out while we visited the UW campus a block away. I can't imagine a more conveniently located spot for anyone visiting UW. I wouldn't look anywhere else for future visits.

An AMAZING hotel! OMG especially for the price! Beautifully updated hotel, with pretty decor and great amenities (like the common lounge / kitchen on the top floor). Silky sheets and super comfortable beds. Very helpful staff (make sure to contact them if you are arriving late, b/c there is a key code if it is after 9pm). The location is so-so: the U District during the day feels fine, and there are so many options for dining and snacks, just so easy and convenient. The property sits right on the UWash campus. A quick walk from the train line that is a direct shot from/to SeaTac Airport. But, during the night, the area feels a little unsafe... It's a city, after all. But Ubers come rapidly when you call.

We lived the comfortable bed and luxurious bed linens as well as the small but functional bathroom. The coffee shop just outside the front door has great coffee and Ye College Pub was fun with good drink choices.

Very good value. Comfortable bed, good room layout. Exceeded expectations. Weather was not great so didn't want to venture far for dinner. As low key as the pub in the same building is, it as a great beer list (and attracts those serious about beer - believe me, better than other college pubs) and while the menu simple, it is enough. Would stay here again when visiting UW.

Quaint, nicely updated, and convenient to campus. We were able to walk to Washington University in under 7 min, and enjoyed easy access to coffee shops and casual dining as well as the 1 Line. Looking forward to returning!
