Stayed 2 nights

Dirty side tables and glasses with fingerprints and lipstick on them. Worse than that, though, was that the promise of 24-hour front desk service was false. At check-in, we were told that the front desk would not be staffed after 22:00, but that if we needed anything, we could use the front doorbell, and someone would answer right away. On the final night of our stay, we came back from dinner around 23:00. We used our keycards to access the front hall with no trouble. After climbing the multiple flights of steep stairs to our room, we could not access our room. The door that leads to it is used to access 2 rooms. We could not turn the handle, and our keycards did not work. We knocked, but our neighbours would not open the door. We sent messages to as many places as we could, and got no answers. Finally, we found a nearby Chapter Hotel where there was someone at reception. We explained the situation and he said he would use his master key to let us in. We finally got into our room about an hour after we first tried. At check-out the day after, the man at reception tried to insist that there is 24-hour coverage. We told him that this is false. Either he did not understand what we said, or he didn’t care. Possibly both. We will never return to this hotel and we would never recommend it to anyone.

I read mixed reviews for this hotel online, and after staying there, I understand why. It depends what your expectations are arriving. This is a budget friendly hotel in a great area. It is in a safe area. The rooms are very clean. The bathrooms have been updated and have lovely showers with great water pressure. The staff are lovely, perhaps a bit shy, but very kind and helpful when needed. This is a great place if you are spending your time sightseeing and are just returning for showers and sleep. It's is not a hotel I would stay expecting spa like experiences or spending the day in the room. We stayed in a triple room and there was plenty of room for 3 of us and all our full sized luggage to walk around. We stayed in November and our room temperature was very comfortable. There is adjustable heat and air conditioning in each room. As mentioned before, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean, however there was some mould starting in the bottom of our shower. Likely due to guests not using the fan, not a housekeeping issue. The bathrooms come with a small bottle of combination shower gel/shampoo. There are towels and hand towels, but no face cloths which I found a bit odd. There are only stairs to the upper rooms, however staff offered to bring up luggage. Staff are on site at reception from 8am-8pm, after that there is a Ring doorbell that must be pressed after hours to reach hotel staff. The exterior doors can only be accessed via key card, just as the r
