All around great experience with Delamar. Loved the lobby area with fireplace, relax and have a cocktail. Front desk was helpful, loved the option of the shuttle downtown for dinner and drinks! Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Thank you!

Very comfortable, elegant hotel within walking distance of downtown but directly on the bay. They also provide a free shuttle. Great hot tub, indoor and outdoor pools, and suana. Connected to Yen yoga, one of the best yoga studios I’ve experienced. (20% discount to guests) Added bonus: the best fine dining restaurant in Traverse City, Artisan!

Our stay was fantastic. Beds comfortable and room was large enough to keep our e-bikes in. Everyone was friendly. Only complaint was the hot tub was not working and we weren’t informed. An outdoor hot tub would be a great addition! Can book different boat rides and rent jet skis right in the parking lot.

The hotel was fabulous! The staff was accommodating and friendly! They gave us complimentary champagne at check-in and a tasty treat for my birthday! They even upgraded our room! The room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and cabana with hot cocoa bar! We'll definitely be back, thank you Delamar!!

Hard to criticize a well placed property with heated pools, bay views and access, etc but felt that as the highest per room rate in Traverse City they could update some of the amenities to modern standards and conditions. While the rooms look like they've had a recent "update" along with the bathrooms - they didn't finish the job with new furniture or lamps. Also, the indoor pool could use a good cleaning as well as the hot tub. All in all a good stay, but was disappointed on the details of the property as they didn't reflect the price per night.

Always a great stay. The giant heated pool in the middle of the winter is always a hit with both the young and old. The rooms are nice. Our bathroom was a little worn compared to past. This hotel sees a lot traffic all year long. It was a bummer the dry sauna was out of order. Our family enjoyed our stay and how can you beat a $9 burger and beer on Tuesdays at the restaurant???

Room was clean and quiet. Shower was not fully cleaned as there was still sand in it from the beach. The staff has to be our biggest complaint, mostly those at the front desk. Cafe seemed to be rarely open during the day. When asked why, my husband was told they have staffing issues. Restaurant doesn't open until later in the day. There is no gift shop to grab snack or drinks. It would be nice to have an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand before entering the hotel.

Overall it wasn’t great or not great. To many kids, slightly overpriced. Shower in the early am was no hot water had to wait a few hours for it. Windows leaked cold air, shower needed a good grout cleaning ,mildew . However the cleaning people were very friendly!

Nice hotel, dirty clothes in the drawers when we checked in. Used wine glasses behind the bed. Pricey for one night. Pool and bar close early we didn’t make it in time to use either.

It was nice to be on the shoreline. Loved the hotel overall but our room was next to the elevator that really ruined our stay. Heard it all night long so very poor night sleep. Price was very high compared to others in the area.

Initially had to change rooms after the first smelled strongly like fish and food coming from the air vent (probably from the restaurant below). Staff was very nice about switching our room quickly with no questions asked. However the walls in the rooms are absolutely paper thin and the door for adjoining rooms has a 1 inch gap at the bottom. Tried to stuff towels at the gap but still could quite literally hear word for word what the people next door were saying or watching on tv. Definitely not the $500 a night experience I was hoping for. Had to sleep with my AirPods in with white noise playing and noise cancellation. Was still woken up at 5am by neighbors phone alarm and their tv. The neighbors are absolutely not to blame as they were talking at normal levels. I could even hear when they opened sodas loud and clear if that illustrates how bad the acoustics are. Pretty creepy knowing they could hear everything we said too and definitely killed any romantic vibe we wanted for our stay!

The hotel was beautiful and we had such a great view of the lake from our room. We could have walked to Traverse City (it was cold and windy for our 1 night stay). The hotel upgraded us to a lakefront room that had floor to ceiling windows.

The property itself was lovely. Our room was okay. It was rather small. No view of the water. The bathroom had no bathtub. The shower door handle was loose. There was no makeup mirror, something I would expect for the price. There could also be more electric outlets.

Walking distance to downtown. Cleaning staff sits outside in the hallway naking noise at 8 am. Blinds let it morning light and block very little. Refrigerator is full of items they charge for, leaving little room for patron's utens. N

Lovely front desk staff Sofia. Great service in Restaurant with Giovani. Great service with Valet and Shuttle. I love the details you still provide in room, for example real glasses, snacks, chair & desk, coffee maker that I don't have to move to use, robes, plenty of towels and good products. I have recommended this to others traveling out of TVC. Thanks

This hotel and the staff went absolutely above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They were knowledgeable and very accommodating. I had a medical issue and they went the extra mile to ensure I was safe. They even picked me up from the ER at midnight with no complaints. I have already booked here again. I can not say enough great things!

We really love Delamar! The service at the desk, welcome drink, free downtown shuttle (which is very prompt- Thanks Willy!), and the location is wonderful. Bike the Tart Trail right from the parking lot :) This stay we had a couple of issues. Water in shower only got hot 2 out of 4 showers, and they forget to clean our room. We had to call and they came right up in the evening, so it was fine. Also missed the delicious casual breakfast area. It’s in the process of being remodeled. The good definitely outweighed the minor bad issues. Will stay again.

We stayed here for our first time celebrating our 10 year anniversary. The few times we needed to reach front desk from our room nobody was available. We’d have to call 3 or 4 times every time and it’d be 5-10 minutes before someone would call. We ordered some food from Artisan (restaurant in hotel) one of the apps we ordered (shrimp cocktail) was served as if it was taken out of the bay. It wasn’t deveined and was dirty! We couldn’t be believe they allowed it to leave the kitchen without a simple clean. We were sketched out and went elsewhere for dinner

Front desk relied too heavily on customer service to be performed by the guest. When I asked how to get to a particular restaurant, I was told to go on my cellphone to lookup the location. This staff member also failed to tell me that the hotel offered a free shuttle to the location. We found this out from another guest! Secondly, when I asked about the yoga classes offered at the site, I was told to search for it online. Not very helpful on either count.

Professionally staffed high quality hotel right on the water. The hotel had many thoughtfully public spaces indoors and outdoors. Parking was included and convenient. The hotel is less than a 5 min drive from downtown Traverse City that has many restaurants and shops. The free breakfast was good: muffins, some premade egg sandwiches, fruit, oatmeal. Nice property in a great location.

The property was conveniently located and within walking distance of many parks, restaurants, and stores. The construction on the roads made crossing town slightly inconvenient but that is not the fault of the hotel.

Location is awesome. The only thing Food wasn’t good at the restaurant. We only ate once we didn’t want it again. A couple years ago when we were there I think it was so much better. Breakfast eggs wasn’t good either. Everyday same thing why ?

Very nice hotel located in a great location. On site restaurant was good for dinner and outside bar was good for lunch. However, very limited breakfast options. Fortunately, there’s lots of restaurants nearby.

The Delamar itself was great. The bad part was there were only 6 bar stools in the restaurant (Artisan) and the hostess wouldn’t let us sit at one of the tables even though we got our drinks at the bar. The restaurant was pretty empty at 9pm.
