A little bit pricy but a good place to stay in Munising, MI. The only downside was the parking lot doesn’t have sufficient spaces for all the travelers. Location is very easy to find, and very close to the Pictured Rocks Cruise and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

The property is currently going through some major remodeling. Lots of construction. The pool wasn’t operational during our stay, which was a bummer. Something was going on with their water, they had lots of bottled water available. Everyone at the property was amazing and sooo friendly and helpful! Would recommend, maybe after all features are up and operational

Hot tub had piles of dirt in it. Piles of sand. Pool area was covered in dirt and dead bugs. The pool water discolored. Room had lots of bugs flying around the ceiling.

Stairs to get to front door are uneven, loose and extremely inconvenient. Pool was ice cold and hot tub was extremely dirty. We stayed here kast year it was under construction and we come back its still under construction. Its extremely noisy and asked to be put at the opposite end of pool. Then we had what seemed to be gymnasts above us. Shower barely dripped water. Then i slipped in shower hurt my knee had to leave early due to this and they would not refund my last nights charge.

There were pubes on the bathroom floor, and in the tub. The shower curtain had questionable marks on it. I'm usually not too picky, but clean is a must. Our room was on the Second floor not far from the elevator, and talk about noisy. They are in the process of remodeling, and the water was shut off from 12a to 5a. They were working on the remodel and it was so loud. Then when running the water is was red.

Hotel was horrible. You could hear everything at night. It felt like a dirty vibe being in the room. Every corner of the bathroom floor was black as if they just surface cleaned and didn’t deep clean. Wouldn’t go back. Or recommend. You would think they would have the cleanliness of this place be presentable since it’s so expensive.

First the view was the best of the bay. You can see the hotel from boat trips as well. The room was basic but balcony was worth it. The bathroom wasnt clean as it should have been trash in garbage. Hair in shower. There was someone water in fridge. So clearly not as clean as i would expect. The pool was cold but the hot tub was big and nice relaxing spot after hiking all day. Did include breakfast it was just basic nothing to brag about. But literally the view was worth it all. If your booking here get a balcony room

The hotel is currently under construction which we were aware of, and I am sure it will be very nice once complete. Our biggest issue (and really the only one) with the stay was that our room was not very clean. The curtains had stains on them and there was a pill pack on the floor next to our trash. The sheets/comforters also had stains and there was some mold buildup on the bathroom ceiling. For the price, we found it disappointing to stay in a dated and dirty room. It is off season and we stayed in Marquette the next two nights for 15.00 less a night for a much cleaner hotel that was literally right on the water. The pool is very large and the kids had lots of fun in it. We also really enjoyed the breakfast-lots of variety. Staff was friendly and beds comfortable.

Don’t stay here if you want to sleep. The doors to the guest rooms SLAM constantly. Also I was in the newly remodeled section, which is quite beautiful, however there was hair all over the bathroom floor when I arrived.

I feel it needs to be updated. (At least our room). Curtains didnt block out sun rise. Pool needs updating. Shower needs updating. Views are beautiful and staff were above average. Breakfast staff were excellent. With the price we paid i expected our room to be nicer.

Great spot that overlooks the lake. Great view and great room with everything you would expect from a nice hotel. It was away from other businesses but was just a few minutes from activities in the area. We really enjoyed our room and our kids enjoyed the separate room with bunk beds.

Very noisy hotel. Thin walls. We heard everything. Had a lake view room and on second morning got up at 4 to use restroom and someone was standing on our patio. Very creepy. The door from hallway had a large space. Check in person said that they are full all the time. If that is the case maybe start updating rooms. Very dated. However sheets were nice. Breakfast was ok. First morning was better than the second. Coffee machine was great in the lobby.

We had a room facing the highway, and it was noisy. Though we had a dog and that's how we made the reservation, we didn't get one of the first-floor rooms for pets. Dining in Muninising is mostly burgers and pizza. And few trails in Pictured Rocks are available for dogs.

My family was in town for a memorial and we did have a wonderful time. We were a bit frustrated with the man at the front desk on Saturday evening. We came down to the breakfast area for a family game night and he was extremely rude and a bit intimidating, telling us we had to leave the area at 10:00 pm. He stood right there until we left the area. There are signs that say quiet hour starts at 10:00, but the signage also states we are free to use some of the common areas to gather. He was not nice, nor polite about it. I would say that if you're with a larger group, it's not the ideal location, because there's nowhere to gather. Unfortunately, it was cold outside. Although we moved outside in the cold, he told us even before we went out that we would have to be quiet or we weren't allowed there either. We were playing a game of marbles and were not loud. Laughing and talking, yes, but not loud. Besides that, it is a beautiful location and we had a great time. Thank you

This place is a gem. It is very clean and updated. We used it as a base for hiking in the area. The breakfast was well maintained and had good choices. No complaints other than that i felt bad that the front desk person had no help. That is a lot to ask of one person and it seemed she had many duties. She handled it gracefully, but she really needed support.

Before our trip even happened the hotel staff called to let me know that the pool area would be closed for maintenance in case I wanted to make reservations elsewhere and I loved that, that was the first time a hotel has done that and I applaud the transparency. The staff was very nice and welcoming and my husband and I loved that the hotel was close to the orv trails. Overall our first trip to Munising was very enjoyable, unfortunately we didn't pick the best time because everything was still closed for the season but that just gives us more reason to come and stay at this hotel again during in season times.

The hotle is located up on the hill between Munising and Christmas (a town further to the west). Aside from being not walkable to anywhere, everything else is good. Specifically, the small guest lounge is a great place to enjoy the sunrise, as it has a good view of the Munising bay.

Day and night staff were all great and very helpful. Hotel was starting some renovations, but that didn’t interfere with the experience. Nice variety of breakfast options. Location was nice being just outside of town. The view from the back of the hotel of Lake Superior was great.

Hotel staff very helpful with questions. Good breakfast. The ladies that worked doing breakfast were very friendly, took plates if you were finished and cleaned tables quickly. Lots of food service workers in hotels hide in the kitchen.

Holiday Inn Munising was a very pleasant surprise! Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The view over Lake Superior was breathtaking, The breakfast buffet was amazing. I would gladly stay here again!

Staff was nice, the location was great and room was generally clean. My complaints come from the fact that nowhere during booking did it say that they were undergoing construction. This included the pool that we were unable to use during our stay. Breakfast was also lacking options. The usual variety we have come to expect from holliday inn express were not represented. Options of omelet and bacon with some type of bread and yogurt were all there was. The pancake machine was broken :(

Probably the nicest Holiday Inn Express I've experienced. Super clean, comfy beds, the egg white omelet and cinnamon roll at breakfast was delicious, coffee available 24/7 via the auto machine. Wonderful stay!
