The staff was wonderful. Clean rooms and clean property. Tracey's restaurant had a small menu but the food was delicious.

The Roam Inn is a little gem. Overlooking the Munising Bay, the Roam offers offers quaint rooms with high quality bedding, a very good onsite restaurant and bar, and is very convenient to all the attractions of the area.

It’s definitely a nice resort near everything but only issue I had was the restaurant below the rooms is very loud from 5pm to 9pm and hard to relax at that time due loudness from people and there should be a parking for guest only because during dinner rush from 5pm to 9pm you have no where to park if you leave and come back to resort,that was frustrating during stay.

This was a great property. Totally renovated large rooms, beds were comfy, very clean. The only slightly odd thing was walking thru the restaurant to get to our room. But the service was great, Tracey’s restaurant was amazing and Nick, the mixologist made a great whiskey sour. The location was close to everything. Great service.

We loved our stay at Roam Inn! The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. They even have a little room filled with additional necessities you might need (ice, ice bucket, towels, toiletries, hot cocoa packets, etc.) The breakfast was exceptional! Everything was fresh and of high quality. The staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met!

Fantastic hotel. Everything was neat and tidy. The vibe was excellent. Wished I was there on another the bar/ restaurant was open. Will absolutely stay again!

Great little hotel in a small upper peninsula town. Major plus is the downstairs restaurant - the food is good and just a little expensive but it gives you a good option especially later at night. The hotel is located right across the street from the lake so views are just a quick walk away. Great location for waterfall hunters.

Ok, so the outside doesn't look like much and frankly, the rooms are quirky.... That said, it was an awesome place. There were so many great details they got right. Really nice touches such as a personal welcome note. the breakfast wasn't hot but it was GREAT. Fresh berries, good coffee, great bread, a really nice lady keeping it fresh. They communicated with us super well. 100% recommend and I travel a lot.

The room is very nice and clean. The only thing that could be improved is the kettle provided in the room for coffee was dirty and not usable.

Great find in Munising! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very unique old building nicely converted to a boutique hotel and restaurant. They think of little things like having a basket of extra towels in the ice room in case you need them and making sure there is an easy place to plug in devices on both sides of the bed. We stayed in two different rooms becuase there was a lake view room available the second night of our stay but not the first. Each room is different and unique but comfortable. The towels are fluffy and beds are comfortable with high-quality sheets. Staff is super helpful! Breakfast is definitely an upscale continental spread - bakery goods and fresh bagels, fresh berries, and fresh-cut fruit complimented the typical yogurt, cereal, toast offerings. Loved our stay so much!

Overall we really enjoyed our two-night stay at the hotel. The room was spotless and the bed linens were exquisite. The complimentary water and continental breakfast were a plus. On the improvement side, our room floor was a little slanted, the bath mirror was so low that both my husband and I couldn’t see without stooping down and the king bed itself had low sagging sides. At first I loved the pillows but they ended up being a little over stuffed and I had a bit of a neck ache in the morning. The restaurant was excellent and we liked the common areas. The location was good too. Overall very nice place!

We stayed in a Suite. The cleaning service was better for the standard rooms - they seemed to forget about us. Did not get the quality of service you should get for the price. I suggest staying in the standard rooms - they are great!

Overall it's a nice very clean hotel and some rooms have a Lake Superior view. But it's on a busy road away from downtown and relatively far from the lake access, across the street. My room unfortunately had barely any natural light, facing a tall wooden wall on the side of the building.

We stayed in the Lumberbaron suite. It was huge and had a nice balcony to watch the fireworks and boats. Good location.

Luxurious Stay in the Lumber Baron’s Suite. We loved the spacious suite, lake view, balcony, comfy king bed, and seating areas. Our dinner of small plates at the restaurant was delicious, exquisitely plated, and accompanied by refreshing creative mocktails. (Of course, they have cocktails, too.) All the service was excellent and the hotel was very clean with tasteful decor. The fresh fruit and muffins at the continental breakfast were a cut above the typical.

Avoid room 18. It is one of the most expensive and advertised as ‘peace and quiet’ yet neither exists! It is above the restaurant and you will hear every movement and conversation as if they were in the room. View is also very disappointing.

It is a nice place but we had room 3 next to the back entrance. It was very noisy at all hours and we got little sleep. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

A bit pricey but this was high summer season. Service was OK. Staff could be a bit more responsive to issues (key card, dead batteries in remote). Initially they shrugged off but then took care of things. Food in restaurant very good.

One of my favorite places to stay over the holidays. Conveniently located and quiet atmosphere. The staff is so helpful in making our stay quite relaxing. They check in during our stay via text to ensure everything is satisfactory. Definitely 5-stars in communications and accommodations!

The staff, location and amenities were so great. We ate at the restaurant (a simple burger and fries) and it was also excellent. The rooms were quiet and had everything we needed. We felt safe, comfy and enjoyed it. Oh, and the breakfast snacks and coffee were delish.

The property was fine. Service was poor as no one is at the desk at all times. Big issue was they charged us $500 for smoking in the room which we did not do. After several conversations, they still won’t give us our money back. We did not smoke in the room. Totally unfair and we are fighting it.

I cannot say enough good things about this inn! My husband and I booked a room to celebrate our 20th anniversary. In the rush of booking, I didn't realize I had selected the wrong night! The Roam Inn contacted me to inquire and kindly updated our reservation when we arrived to check in. They upgraded us to a room with a balcony and surprised us with champagne. Each person working at the hotel went out of their way to congratulate and warmly welcome us. It truly made the whole experience wonderful! The room was clean and well furnished, with ample amenities, soft towels, and a refrigerator. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! Sitting on the balcony and looking out at Lake Superior was such a delightful treat. The Roam Inn provided a complimentary (delicious!) breakfast the next morning with plenty of options, including pastries, cereals, fruit, hard boiled eggs, and beverages. There was convenient parking and access to nearby sites. Another bonus is that Tracey's Restaurant is located onsite. We were amazed by the quality of the food - some of the best we have ever tasted! The chef masterfully combines flavors to make the perfect dishes. The atmosphere and service are also phenomenal. I highly recommend staying at The Roam Inn! The experience was like none other we have had. They clearly care for their guests and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (and special). Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! We look forward to the next time we can stay!

When we arrived there was no staff and we were provided with a lockbox and a phone number to text if there were any issues. There was a smell of gas and an alarm going off. I texted the number and never heard back until the morning. They wound up refunding my stay.

Great place to stay. They informed us that we left our pillows behind. They paid to have them shipped home. Amazing! My wife love the sheets too!

We reserved our room a few days before our spontaneous trip. We decided on Roam Inn and could not be happier we did. Erin called the day of our trip to assist us with a keyless check-in and to our surprise, upgrade our room. Our room was updated, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is situated across from the bay with beautiful views and close to downtown We had breakfast and within minutes were hiking Pictured Rock! The restaurant in the hotel was closed while we were there, but will definitely be back to try it!

I would absolutely recommend Roam Inn to everyone! It was such a cute, quaint and quiet hotel….and hotels like this in the UP are hard to come by. We stayed Sunday-Monday nights at the start of the slower season, so the restaurant wasn’t open, but I look forward to coming back and staying when it is. Super clean, great amenities, cute room, easy check in and parking, and close to everything Munising!

The Roam Inn met our needs for a place to stay while we visited Pictured Rock National Park. Our room was clean and very nice, check in was easy and the staff friendly. Breakfast was in a nice room and matched what we have for breakfast (yogurt, fruit, granola, coffee) - it’s not extensive with many options but it’s good! The outside of the Roam Inn isn’t as nice as the inside.

This place was amazing. Wonderful amenities, very nicely appointed, wonderful bed, very spacious, great breakfast. We had dinner there very attractive and charming, excellent food. We would love to return.

Great property with 5-star service! Spent three nights and enjoyed one dinner at Tracey's which was excellent. Room #7 was very comfortable, although minor view of lake was obscured by main section of hotel and utilities. The included breakfast was somewhat limited in selection but of high quality. Would absolutely stay here again when in Munising!

The breakfast offerings were disappointing! It would have been better if they had offered a voucher to their other property that offered breakfast.
