The things that mattered were clean, beds, bathroom, kitchen sink, counters, microwave, stove, etc. Loved having two separate bedrooms. It's just worn. Carpet had some stains, bathroom door was off balance, so had a bunch of towels behind it to keep it from slamming into the wall, just could use a good refresh. Woman at check in was terribly nice. Loved that they had bags of ice available, for our coolers, for free. It was perfectly adequate for our one night stay.

Absolutely overpriced motel. They take advantage of their location, that’s it. Pictured Rocks Motel, next to this one, offers you more amenities, even a swimming pool, for the same price on weekdays.

This is an older property with no frills but room was clean. Property is located on main highway through town so there was a bit of traffic noise. We had a truck and trailer unit so parking was a challenge but staff worked with us on this

The property is in very poor condition and has been poorly maintained. The carpet appears to have never been cleaned, and the room has a strong, unpleasant odor. All clothes stored in the room start to smell bad after being kept there. Basic amenities are also of very low quality. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Don’t even know where to start. First of all though I would like to say that the staff especially Cody was wonderful. Now for the room itself. Rug was filthy, ceiling light was falling down on the bathroom, the bathroom door knob was falling off, the sink was no larger than a kids toy sink and didn’t drain well. The blanket on the bed was covered in dog hair and smelled like a dog…,disgusting! There was no table lamp only the big bright over head light, no curtains only cheap white blinds. The outside light was right at our window so Cody did turn that off for us. We asked for a different room but nothing was available. As I said Cody the clerk was super nice.He did everything he could to accommodate us. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but chose not too! Never will I go back there. It is so badly need of repair!

The amount of space and the layout of the two bedroom unit was good. The unit was not very clean and there was a trash can full of the previous guests garbage still there at check in. Too many mechanical updates need attention including the bedroom doors that don’t shut, the bathroom shower rusty baseboard heater, and the windows all with broken locks. Will not stay again

Property was not cleaned, coffee pot still had grounds from whenever it was last used. Mattress was so old it was like cement. Lots of cob webs, Kleenex left on floor by the bed so obviously not vacuumed. Hair in shower…..

The room and bathroom were absolutely pristine and nicely decorated. There was a binder that had lots of information. Directions were clear and concise for internet and TV/Cable. I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host.

The only thing that was good about our state was the breakfast. Our room was dirty. The floor in the bathroom was filthy. There were ants in the bathroom. There were ants on the countertops carpet. Terrible wallpaper coming down just yuck!

Picture made the room look much larger than it really is. It is somewhat dated but everything was clean and it worked. Floor seems to be unlevel and several times I stumbled because I was caught off balance. A table light in the livingroom would be nice. The ceiling lights just aren't very bright. Staff I interacted with was very friendly.

Floor was not level. It sloped from the the back wall to the entrance door . It also sloped the other way. Your head was going down hill when you were in the bed. Ceiling fan/light was hanging from the bathroom ceiling. Bathroom sink did not drain well. Found food under the bed. The desk clock did not work. Air conditioner ran but the temperature control did not work. I would not stay here again.

Staff checking us in and out were great. Clean comfy bed in a smaller room with small dining table,fridge & microwave. Motel right next to main route hwy (28) with lots of traffic (semis with jake breaks) & rooms not soundproofed well. Only one nightstand, with no lamps next to bed (overhead light only), and no convenience outlets for charging cells (Power strip balancing on edge of dresser next to fridge near bathroom). Room charge didn't match amenities, but hotels in area @ lower cost were limited based on timelines of our visit to Painted Rock Parks. If you are in area for sunset painted rock cruise, eat somewhere before you go on the cruise because dining and bars are not open after 10 PM in surrounding area.

Photos online are misleading. Our room had very unlevel flooring. So unlevel doors didnt close or that you felt like you were walking on a boat. This was hard traveling with older parents. The bathroom had light fixtures that didnt work and tile had been put back up with caulk... but had huge gaps for water to get into. So i worried about mold exposure. The staff were lovely to us and it was clean for what it was. However i would not stay here again. For the price, which wasnt much but still expected better.

We had a wonderful stay. George greeted us upon arrival and helped us get checked into our room. Our room was clean, had a tub with shower, microwave and mini fridge. There was a coffee maker and several packages of coffee. The property was well lit and felt very safe. There was a grocery store right across the street and the boat tours are right down the street. In the morning Dawn was in the lobby serving breakfast. She was amazing! So helpful and full of information!

The room was very clean. The room had one chair and no nightstand. One has to sit on the end of the bed to work at the table. The A/C unit sounded like a landing jet engaging its engine reversers. The bed was uncomfortably firm (I prefer a firm bed but this was like sleeping on a plank). The front desk folks were friendly and hospitable but checking in inexplicably took fifteen long minutes, and checking out was unnecessarily complicated. Woe to anyone with small children, as sharp corners and dangling power strips could prove dangerous. The fridge froze all my pop solid. I cannot recommend this hotel, unless in a pinch. A generous two-stars.

Perfect place to stay for the night before starting the Lakshore Trail in Pictured Rocks. Convenient for restaurants and about 2 miles from the Munising Ranger Station for the shuttle bus. Couldn't ask for a better location or motel. Will stay here next time.

Quick and simple check in and very courteous staff. Room is very old and shows being remodeled poorly in the past, especially in the bathroom. Room was missing a pole to hang our clothes but the was fixed immediately by staff. Lots of windows, but no curtains, so even with the blinds closed, the room stayed very light all night. It was a terrible room to try and sleep in. Very poor breakfast! A juice, pastry and breakfast bar. Had to pay extra for anything else.

The bathroom needs updating. The bed was comfortable and clean. Remote for room was missing. They took care of that promptly. Continental breakfast was a grab and go deal. Water and soda was at a cost. Coffee was free. For a quick sleep and wash up and go it was just what you need.
