We liked that we didn't have to pay for parking. It wasn't that far from town. Easily walkable - but it is going uphill to get back if that bothers you. I liked that they had free bottled water and snacks in the lobby. I didn't like being at the farthest room - up a steep hill. The water pipes knocked in the wall when on cold - there was only the existing roll of toilet paper - had to go down to office to get refill - no phone in room. There were a ton of places to stay in Bar Harbor - I would not stay there again.

The ada room i had dix not have a seat in the shower. You will have to be able to stand. The room has a ramp to get to the doir. It does get a bit tight in the room with a wheelchair. Brakfast is cereal and a muffin. They do have fruit and juice and snake bats out all the time for guests. Close to park entrance. Restaurants and shoping a couple miles away. No bus goes down town from motel and parking downtown is pretty bad in summer. The place is ok to stay.

Lets see, my honest review is.....extra fees per dog $40 each. Breakfast was danish, fruit or cereal. Tea and coffee available. Room was basic. Price was reasonable. Beds comfy. Good pressure in shower. Ground floor you can hear every step above you. Kept my dogs awake all night which made for zero sleep. Not much of area for dogs but there is bits of grass. Location was great as you can walk to town. Some spots of the parking lot you CAN see the ocean☺️ I will stay again as long as Im not on ground floor. Staff did not seem happy.

I stayed in the detached section and I thought it was great. It was quiet, and I had no issues with parking. They had breakfast pastries put out early everyday, also a nice selection of local coffee. I especially liked the proximity to Acadia, 8-10 mins to all of the popular trailheads, as well as the walkability to the bars and restaurants in town. As a solo traveler, I felt safe. Overall, good experience and I’d stay again.

Nice bright clean rooms with room darkening blinds. With that said, this is a very overpriced motel. I could not even get a cup of tea or a bagel or toast in the morning - just coffee and danish and maybe cereal? There was a cooler in the lobby with juice that was not on - juice was room temp. Great location and nice rooms - just way too much $$$. There isn’t even a pool or hot tub - just a clean bed and shower. Renters should know there is not fast food for over 1/2 hour and very limited choices around - especially if traveling with a tiny dog.

The oprporty offers unlimited snacks (eg fig bars, protein bars) and drinks (eg water, fruit juices) in the lobby. In the morning, they have a gtab and go breakfast (eg pastries, fruit, yogurt). Plenty of parking. The rooms are not insulated for noise so depending on the side of the building you can get some street noise. No elevator, keep this in mind if you are unable to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs...but I bet the staff would assist too. They are friendly. Will I stay again at the seasider? Yes I would.

If you are looking for the most modern trendy hotel, this isn't it. If you want a comfortable classic motel with unique kitschy decor and breakfast included for the whole family, then you've come to the right place. There are two buildings with an interesting and unique lobby design in each. The breakfast was excellent and the staff are all super friendly. They let me charge our electric car at one of the outdoor outlets which was quite helpful for our long trip the next day.

Room was not clean, shower/tub would not drain and it was not clean, towel bar was loose and fell apart. Water smelled terrible! We've never had hotel water smell before. It was so bad we left after 1 night. Manager did not want to reimburse for the other 2 nights, so we spent over $800 for the disgusting and unlivable room for 1 night. Expedia should NOT offer this place to anyone

We paid over $340 per night for this run down dirty motel. The lady who checked us in mumbled and could not be bothered to smile, make eye contact, stand, or put her sweater all the way on to greet us. We were give a room in 1 of 4 older buildings instead of the main motel, which looked decades newer. Cobwebs, dead bugs, and hair decorated the bathroom and carpet. The chair had a red stain on it. The fridge was new but had the plastic only halfway torn off. The shower pressure was minimal. The gentleman who fixed our key cards when they broke after 2 days was the only positive - polite and friendly - and deserves a promotion. The location was great and other guests were friendly. This was a deal compared to the higher prices downtown. This motel is in major need of a manager who cares about the details and staff who clean thoroughly. Everywhere else we went in 3 days was cleaner with better customer service (with the exception of the nice gentleman - again this guy is your one employee who gives it his all).

Disappointing stay. The room smelled damp and sour, with visible mold that left me with headaches and respiratory issues. Floors were sticky, drawers damaged, and the sink clogged. Walls are paper thin and staff ranged from mediocre to dismissive — there are far better options in the area for the price.

Bar Harbor is a zoo a this time of year. I've been so busy at work, I decided to splurge, despite the high season rates, four hundred twenty five bucks, a night, gulp. My room smelled dank and forgotten. The bathroom sink immediately backed up with foul smelling water, and the carpet was damp. Exhausted from a long trip, I crawled into bed anyway. In the morning, a very responsive and helpful manager named Tim got me a room in the renovated part of the motel. It is clean and bright. I would definitely return, I'm here pretty often, but I feel like I've been taken advantage of. Why rent out rooms in the very marginal wing of the motel at all, nevermind for the princely sum of $425? Honestly, I'd like to be refunded for my first night's stay.

I thought the staff was very friendly and personable. The snack/breakfast area was plentiful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable The only huge negative was. The floor in the room was soooo slippery. Housekeeping needs to strip it and use a cleaner that leave it clean it had a greasy film everywhere. It was a safety issue and it felt gross on a bare foot. We slipped bare we slipped in socks we slipped in our footwear.

Good location - a bit away from downtown (10-15 minutes walk), easy to get in and out acadia. There are bottle water, juices, and small snacks all day long at the lobby and grab-and-go in the morning. The only downside is the room is not that clean especially the floor. Felt sticky walking barefoot and the bathroom floor was cold.

It is an older building but the rooms and bathrooms have been updated. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. It's an easy walk to downtown. We didn't move our vehicle until we went into Acadia. The office staff was helpful and very friendly.

- Cleanliness - perfect! - Great staff and service! - Good on the go options for breakfast, items always replenished! - Location is super convenient, 15 min walk from the shore and pretty much 15-25 min drive to any attractions in acadia park - WiFi can be better as it struggled at times - Bathroom was too small, well too small can be understatement that small such that sink was right next to toilet which was right next to bath tub. no place to stand other than when you open the door and even then the door gets very close to the toilet seat itself!! Common you can do better and make bathrooms reasonably ok size, again ok size, not saying even good size.

We were in a corner room closest to the street and it was so loud all night that we got no sleep. Very old and run down. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone. Very expensive for what you get too!

It’s called a motel for a reason. The rooms are literally few feet away from the road with the door opening outside. Although room was clean and had comfortable beds but is was pretty noisy and it felt like bright daylight inside the room, which will wake anyone one up at the sunrise— with East facing windows.

Its on a well traveled intersection and motorcycle / traffic noise is frequent into the night. Grab and go breakfast is not much other than a few pastries, coffee, and snack bars. Free waters were appreciated. Location is fine with 15 min casual walk to downtown restaurants, ice cream, shops.

A clean motel. Good sized rooms and close to Acadia national park. The only issue was the weak to non-working wifi service. Seriously in this day and age wifi is just as important as hot water and electricity. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We were deeply disappointed in this stay at this hotel. It was very expensive and definitely not worth the money. The first night our air conditioner did not work and it was a debacle trying to check in. The guy at the front desk barely made eye contact. He tried to give us a dumpy room the first time then he tried to put us around the back of the property the second time and I finally asked for a specific room around the front and we were able to get that but what an ordeal to get a decently placed room. When the air conditioner went out during the night and we reported it the next day, the girl at the front desk could not be disturbed from her phone and kept telling us to go reset it. We finally insisted that they send a maintenance man out there. The maintenance man, Joe, was the only bright star in the whole ordeal. He was very friendly & efficient. He immediately got us a new unit. We stayed for two nights and after the first night, they did not even come to refresh our rooms. We had to go ask for towels, and the girl motioned where we could pick them up from and said just leave our dirty towels on the floor and they’ll get them the next day. we had to empty our own trash because they didn’t come refresh the room. For the amount of money we paid they could’ve at least done that. To add insult to injury there was a man checking in who had a rate to almost $100 a night less than ours. Check-in was quick and our 2nd floor room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of parking and just about a 10 minute walk to Main St., Bar Harbor with your choice of places to eat and shop or just walk around. Loved the grab and go breakfast options for our early morning hikes. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room was clean. Very friendly staff. Accommodating facility. We were in the area off from the main motel, and I enjoyed it. We were traveling with a 13 month old, so thankful for the good sized mini fridge! The clubhouse has pastries in the mornings, a fully stocked water fridge, and Clif Bars and Fig Bars readily available- a Godsend for hiking! We were able to stop before going to Acadia for quick fuel for us and our baby. They even gave our baby a small stuffed lobster that was precious. We were within walking distance of downtown, so no need to fight for parking.

The staff was honestly amazing. I don’t often actually talk to hotel staff often beyond normal checking in/out but had a few interactions with them here and they were actually some of the kindest human strangers I’ve met. I had some issues with my flight/rental car and arrived very late to the property. The night manager (I wish I could remember his name) was so accommodating and apologetic for my travel issues. He carried my bag to my room and recommended a hike I should go on. I went on it and it was spectacular. All in all an amazing experience especially after a not so great travel day. 10/10 will be staying here next time I’m in the area.

Bar Harbor is a zoo a this time of year. I've been so busy at work, I decided to splurge, despite the high season rates, four hundred twenty five bucks, a night, gulp. My room smelled dank and forgotten. The bathroom sink immediately backed up with foul smelling water, and the carpet was damp. Exhausted from a long trip, I crawled into bed anyway. In the morning, a very responsive and helpful manager named Tim got me a room in the renovated part of the motel. It is clean and bright. I would definitely return, I'm here pretty often, but I feel like I've been taken advantage of. Why rent out rooms in the very marginal wing of the motel at all, nevermind for the princely sum of $425? Honestly, I'd like to be refunded for my first night's stay.

We liked that we didn't have to pay for parking. It wasn't that far from town. Easily walkable - but it is going uphill to get back if that bothers you. I liked that they had free bottled water and snacks in the lobby. I didn't like being at the farthest room - up a steep hill. The water pipes knocked in the wall when on cold - there was only the existing roll of toilet paper - had to go down to office to get refill - no phone in room. There were a ton of places to stay in Bar Harbor - I would not stay there again.

Great staff! Clean room with comfy beds. Also loved that there was 24 hour coffee/tea and water bottles available in the lobby. Great options in the morning too. Would usually grab a Clif bar, banana, and apple and head out hiking. Also we just walked into town each night for dinner.

You have to travel some distance outside to get to coffee in the morning. Breakfast is grab and go with pastries and muffins. The rooms are typical for a motel six but not what you would expect for 350 to 400 a night. AC did not work at night and the shower leaked. Staff was friendly and helpful and motel is located conveniently to Bar Harbor.

This motel was very clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. It’s located about 8-10 minutes walk from the beachfront, restaurant and shopping area. The only slight downside was the limited choice at the grab and go breakfast, but that wasn’t a big deal for our family. They have cereal, some fresh fruit, coffee, muffins. If you like a heavy hot breakfast, this might not work for you. Right next to a road. But we didn’t hear road noise at night.

Nice bright clean rooms with room darkening blinds. With that said, this is a very overpriced motel. I could not even get a cup of tea or a bagel or toast in the morning - just coffee and danish and maybe cereal? There was a cooler in the lobby with juice that was not on - juice was room temp. Great location and nice rooms - just way too much $$$. There isn’t even a pool or hot tub - just a clean bed and shower. Renters should know there is not fast food for over 1/2 hour and very limited choices around - especially if traveling with a tiny dog.

The Seasider was a lovely place to stay. It was conveniently located to downtown. Both the bedroom and bathroom was a decent size for three people to love around. I would recommend staying at this motel.

Property has a great location for access to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. Room was ok, no views to speak of, small microwave needs to be replaced as door was broken. This is a place to just sleep and leave. Grab and go coffee, juice, pastries and cereal provided in the mornings. Also protein bars.
