Very nice hotel/resort at the beginning of the strip away from downtown. Lovely Ocean view room with balcony. Fitness room is small. Great Restaurant for breakfast. Also can get cocktail at the bar. Great service all around.

Fabulous accommodations. Nice pool and pool ocean views are spectacular. The only downside was there is only one set of elevators to get up and down the 3 floors. It is located in the center of the long hotel which was only a problem during check in with luggage too heavy to carry up the stairs. Otherwise the stairs were not bad.

Everything you need is right on-site. Kid-friendly. A hop-on hop-off bus provided by LLBean, which made traveling into downtown Bar Harbor super convenient. Outdoor pool overlooking the water and friendly staff.

To start on the positive note - the hotel is centrally located, close to downtown Bar Harbor, about a mile away, and Acadia. The property has good bones and a beautiful view. It does need updating, but the biggest disappointment was the maintenance. Upon our check in I noticed fresh paint on my bag and dress when I started unpacking- apparently the maintenance did touch ups right before … we called the front desk and were promised a different room. When we came downstairs we overhead maintenance guy commenting that he didn’t think people will rub against the walls!!! Then we were told that there is no room available and we had to log our luggage back to the car and come back 2 hours later. The pool… it was green!!!! And they closed it on our 3rd day there for maintenance!!! We saw quite a few families with little kids crying because they couldn’t go in. The front desk did apologize for the paint issue and nothing more … It is not the way anyone would like to spend their vacation. Stay away, there are a lot of other options.

The hotel setting is superb, with a lovely outdoor pool overlooking the water and food and drink service at the pool. Our room was a typical hotel room, a bit dated, but we had a small balcony overlooking the water, which was worth the extra money. The shuttle that runs from the hotel to downtown Bat Harbor was clean and on time.

We had ocean view room. Beautiful view. Loved the pool and hot tub and tiki bar. Also visiting one restaurant on property and very pleased with it. Also loved that there was a free shuttle into town.

Nice hotel with great view. Close to the Acadia park and downtown Bar Harbor. Frequent shuttle from hotel to all around the city and Acadia National Park. We were hoping to use the pool but the water did not look clean. Our last day the pool was closed due to algae. The fridge in our room was not adjustable and most of our fruit was frozen. The windows in the room does not open and had to have AC on the whole time. Pretty noisy AC system. Overall I liked the hotel and the grounds.

Check-in and check-out were easy. The complaints: Our “ocean view” wasn’t. The building Eden House smelled like fresh paint so beware if you’re sensitive. Housekeeping only happened in the first day of our stay. And surprise, apparently our bed was directly beneath the toilet above us. So I suggest getting a room on the top floor. The hotel charges $25/person “resort fee” despite claiming internet is free. The compliments: Our room was clean. the hotel is right on the 2 Eden free bus line which makes it easy to get around or have dinner in Bar Harbor. The hotel comes with heated outdoor pool and the grounds are lovely with tennis courts and cornhole. The bed is comfortable. Bathroom has plenty of towels and hot water. The hotel is close to Acadia entrance and Bar Harbor.

Beautiful view from back of hotel. Great transportation with the trolley stop in parking lot. Disappointed with housekeeping and front desk. They cleaned daily but did not replace coffee pods or toilet paper. For $450 a night I should not have to go to the front desk daily to request coffee pods, how hard is it to replace those? I only used one a day! But the most inconvenient was that they also did not replace the toilet paper. After cleaning the room three days in a row it was never replenished. I called the front desk to request it and they seemed put out by my request. I asked them to send it immediately as we had none and they never brought it. again, for $450 a night you can replace a roll of TP. It’s a shame because other than that it would have been a perfect stay. I can understand it being forgot once but they had cleaned for three days and never replaced it. And then to be ignored when I asked for it was a real turn off. Extremely unsatisfactory customer service for that money.

Beautiful property, close to everything. Friendly staff. Meal and drink options on property are pricey, but they have free coffee, water, and hot chocolate in the lobby and free shuttle to Bar Harbor. Room was not well cleaned when we checked in, something spilled on the bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned up and other trash was on the floor in the room.

The location and views are beautiful. The pool (which is showing some signs of age) overlooks the water. There is a pool bar all nice. There is lovely landscaping. However. We had a mouse in our room! That is never ok and the staff handled the situation poorly. We ended up in the suite-nice but very dated.

The view from room (618) was very nice; however, the building didn’t feel renovated nor did our room. Sink was cracked, fixtures rusty, and the HVAC was so loud we couldn’t sleep. I emailed to verify the ROOMS were renovated and was assured so. Carpet in hallways and paint is not a renovation. Also, a discarded T-shirt laid in the hallway for 3 days.

Disappointing for the price charged. Uncomfortable beds, loud air conditioning, toilet paper not replenished. Dated hotel with dehumidifiers running in all the hallways to try and help with the musty smell. Nice enough property

Good hotel overall: clean, spacious rooms, well organized, and a convenient free shuttle to downtown every 15 minutes. Unfortunately, my “ocean view” balcony room was right in front of the air conditioning units and the restaurant’s exhaust chimney. Constant noise and fried food smell made it impossible to sleep well or enjoy the balcony. These rooms should not be priced the same as unobstructed ocean views. Poor management decision that shows little attention to guest comfort.

The staff mostly was very friendly. What I primarily didn’t like is when it said the room had a balcony I didn't expect to have to climb out the window and have a view of the parking lot. The property has been recently renovated and for the most part was done nicely. However while they have tried to rebrand and be more upscale there are parts that still say Holiday Inn. For the money I expect little more luxury and a few extras like nice fluffy towels, better quality shampoo/conditioner, actually glasses rather than plastic cups and a bottle of complimentary water.

Awful service. They didn’t clean the room two days in a row and we had to ask the front desk for toilet paper and shampoo when it ran out- we had to actively remind people at front desk to please make sure our room got cleaned. And no, we did not have the “do not disturb” sign up. I payed for this stay with Expedia that was supposed to include breakfast and dining and, at the end of the stay, they are trying to charge me 160 extra dollars for hotel fee?! The guy at the front desk this morning got super irritated when I tried to explain this was supposed to be paid for already. He was very rude and also got upset when I told him we didn’t get the room cleaned two days in a row. He said “I just work here” which is exactly why I was addressing the matter with him. Awful experience

The place was well kept, landscaping was very well done and the interior was clean and modern. I can’t quite get over an undeserving conceited attitude from the front desk staff that was consistent across different staff members. The hotel was good across the board, but it wasn’t so good that I felt like I need to thank them for letting me stay there. I failed to follow their rule to remove the door hanger overnight that tells the staff to skip the room cleaning the following day. In the morning I realized my mistake and asked the front desk if the room could be added to their list to clean. The aforementioned conceited attitude was evident when she told me that she would take care of it, but the room was not attended to when we returned later that evening. Not too big of a deal overall, but I had to get the staff to set us up with some towels to get through to the next day and that bothered me. Now that it’s off my chest, the place was good. I had a breakfast package and the restaurant served a good breakfast all 4 day. I’d stay there again.

Service was great by the pool. Rooms were clean. Transportation to downtown was great! However the front desk gave our room to another guest. While in our room dressing our door was opened by another guest entering our room. Very concerning and we were shocked beyond. The manager said she couldn't discount our room as it was purchased through Expedia. We left feeling unsatisfied with our experience.

This was absolutely the BEST hotel experience we’ve ever had! The staff were so kind! Victor, the doorman greeted us with a smile every morning and evening. The desk gals were amazing. Ewan the bartender was so pleasant. We will be back! Beautiful area!

The property was fine. However we extended our reservation and the desk agent didn't ask for a credit card at the time. Instead he called our room at midnight back to back until he woke us up to ask for a credit card. He woke up the entire family and still continues to ask me for a cc. I told the manager at check out and she could care less, she did take off $25. Very unnecessary they had a card on file, we had been there 3 nights.

The hotel is about 5 minutes by car from Bar Harbor downtown so I could escape from the busy crowd and relax in the quiet area at night. On the other hand, I could enjoy all sorts of good restaurants, boat tours, and tourist stuff easily. Also, the Acadia National Park is only 15 minutes by car which is great access to nature.

First time trip to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Loved the location of the Bar Harbor Regency, away from the crowds of downtown Bar Harbor. The resort is close to many tourists hot spots, shopping and restaurants. It is a bus stop for the free shuttle. The resort has expansive views of the harbor. The sunrise and sunsets were marvelous. Meticulously clean room with lots of towels. The only constructive criticism would be to have the rooms cleaned before 3pm. We surprised the housekeeping staff at 3pm when we returned from a long day of hiking and really needed the room. Perhaps a card to hang on the door that indicating"room needs cleaning". Food at the Stewman's Lobster Pound right on site was great.

The property setting is beautiful. The Pool, Hot Tub and restaurants all look out on the water. Breakfast at La Bella Vista in the hotel was excellent. Had dinner there one night as well. Might have been the first Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at that didn't bring bread to the table before or with dinner. Not a deal breaker, but it is an Italian restaurant. The shrimp and lobster scampi appetizer was over whelmed with lemon. Lemon shouldn't be the star of the dish, other than that our meals were good. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

The room and building that we were in were very clean and comfortable. We did not have an ocean front room but still had a view of the water from our window. The onsite restaurants were nice and offered great views. We enjoyed sitting on the chairs by the water enjoying the relaxing view. We felt the hotel was centrally located to all of the things we wanted to do and see while visiting and definitely want to plan another trip.

This was in a great location, close to Bar Harbor. We loved the grounds with a view of the bay, and took advantage of the heated pool and Jacuzzi every night. And the restaurant was surprisingly very good. I would highly recommend this place.

The hotel was clean, nice amenities with a very comfortable bed. The staff was welcoming and kind. Great service! We ordered from the hotel restaurant, La Bella Vita for dinner one night and had the worst “Italian” food I’ve ever had. I would compare the spag & meatballs to a can of chef boyardee. Everything else about the stay was wonderful!
