Clean and comfortable motel that's showing its age somewhat, but a good value for the location (10-minute drive to Acadia, walk to everything in Bar Harbor). I liked the hot coffee and the water bottle filling station in the office, and the outdoor grassy area with seating was a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. It was great to leave the car and explore the area on foot.

Very disappointed for the amount of money we paid. Needs updating. The people above us were loud and the floor creaked badly. Parking was terrible. Lucky to find a space.

Bar Harbor main street within easy walking distance. One staff person in particular, Susie, was very helpful. She is a native and was very willing to share ideas to see/do that was different than shopping in the crowds. We took her suggestions and enjoyed ourselves greatly. This hotel isn't new... they have kept it up pretty well, but it is starting to show signs of needing a major overhaul. It was clean and the staff made up the beds daily, which is something you don't find often. No coffee maker or microwave in room, although they do have a refrigerator. Outdoor doors and stairways. No elevator.

Warm, friendly, and professional staff, room was so clean and had all the essentials. Location extremely convenient, walked to July 4th festivities at the Village Green and on the pier, great options for dining, so near to a well-stocked grocery store. Refrigerator and ice machine with huge bucket helped tremendously, plus microwave and drinkable water in the lobby 24 hours! Parking space at the motel saved us the hassle of trying to find parking in town on a busy weekend! Thank you so much, Anchorage Motel!

The room was clean and they changed our sheets and towels every day. Air conditioner worked great. It wasn't too noisy. There was just enough parking for everyone. I think we got the last spot.

The rooms (bathroom in particular) were a bit outdated, but clean and what we needed. However, their WIFI service is terrible at best. And for some reason, fully knowing that they do not offer WIFI that can accommodate a connection for all their guests, they only offer streaming TV service. So needless to say, once everyone is back at their rooms trying to relax after a day of outdoor adventuring... there is not enough bandwidth to enjoy a movie without continuous interruptions nor to use phone or other connected devices. So if you plan to keep your kids quiet with a phone or tablet.... better bring a book instead and hope they don't hate you for it!!

Great location and great service, but room was not what I would expect for $300 a night. Very small bathroom, paper thin walls, uncomfortable pillows, no coffee machine in the room, and no desk or coffee table for me to work on. The maid left a dirty coffee cup between the bed and nightstand from the former occupants. Super nice at the front desk but probably won't stay there again.

Five stars for this budget-friendly motel in an ideal location in busy Bar Harbor! We stayed four nights while cycling through Acadia National Park. It was a short ride to the park and an even shorter walk to the bars and restaurants in BH. Natalle and Susie in the office were wonderful and made sure that there was always hot coffee available. Our rooms were spotless.

Horribly small. No place to sit outside the room except for a small grass area with nothing but plastic uncomfortable Adirondack chairs. Housekeeping not great. Spills on bedside table not cleaned up. Carpet really dirty. Couldn’t open drapes without a sheer which meant everyone could see in if you wanted some natural light. Have to say bathroom was recently repaired and nice and clean. Linens were good. Bed comfortable except lousy pillows.

We picked this property because of its location. Convient to downtown Bar Harbor. The facility is dated and shows its age. The staff is rude and uncaring. Went to office day one to let them know we could get no tv reception. Their comment was “we are on an island you know “. Be prepared the tv reception is almost nonexistent between 5pm and midnight when everyone is on the internet. If you do not have a tv service you can log onto you will not be able to see network channels. Just the ones no one wants to see. We had three couples with three rooms. We were all in one suv. Staff came running out of office and shouted because we were over the line with the suv. We told her we could be inthree cars and take up three spaces. No coffeemaker or microwave in room.

I knew Bar Harbor was a very expensive destination but the amount we paid for a Motel 6 like room is unreal. It does have a convenient location and staff were friendly but it is run down and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The tv had no cable only Roku that didn’t work at night.

Dated Motel. Not much counter space or sink space. However, beds were clean and comfortable. 24 hour coffee. Staff friendly. Great locatin - easy walk to town which is a big plus in Bar Harbor where parking is a nightmare. Would defintely stay again.

We were in the separate building and you could hear every creak and groan of the stairs & people talking in the room next to us. I slept with earplugs. Besides that, the staff was incredible, hotel was clean and super convenient to get everywhere we wanted to go.

Location perfect for visiting Bar Harbor. However the motel is very out dated. Mattress is very old and soft. Drains do not drain well. Toilet seat was falling off. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Upstairs walkway unlevel and could be a potential issue for someone with mobility or sight difficulties.

Perfectly placed for ease of access off the main route, quick walk to town and waterfront but away from the main hustle so quieter. The ladies on the front desk are so warm, welcoming and helpful. We had everything we could need in a clean and comfortable room. Perfect for what we needed.

Motel style with room entry for my exterior door on the upstairs walkway. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. Location was great with easy walking to the downtown Bar Harbor area for restaurants. Plentiful parking. No breakfast provided but they did have 2417 tea and coffee in the lobby and the people working at the front desk were very friendly. Kudos to Susie for her friendly manner first thing in the morning

The perfect stay. Susie the front desk lady was very warm and friendly making the check in process that much more inviting. Walking distance to everything in Bar harbor. Our room was so cozy we actually spent more time then we expected there resting between trips to Acadia park. Looking forward to booking agin in the future.

The Anchorage was perfect for our 4-night stay. Convenient to shops & restaurants, easy parking, straight shot out of town across the island / into Acadia. HOT shower, perfect after a chilly hike. The service was outstanding & the lobby coffee was surprisingly good. Susie was such a huge help & gave us great ideas for the day when a storm upended our plans. If it’s your first visit to Bar Harbor, you’ll sort of realize that like many / most of the hotels on the island, the building isn’t new. Renovated & clean, but not new. It’s just a different vibe & if you know that going in, you’ll have a great time.
The Anchorage was perfect for our 4-night stay. Convenient to shops & restaurants, easy parking, straight shot out of town across the island / into Acadia. HOT shower, perfect after a chilly hike. The service was outstanding & the lobby coffee was surprisingly good. Susie was such a huge help & gave us great ideas for the day when a storm upended our plans. If it’s your first visit to Bar Harbor, you’ll sort of realize that like many / most of the hotels on the island, the building isn’t new. Renovated & clean, but not new. It’s just a different vibe & if you know that going in, you’ll have a great time.

This motel is in a great location! You can walk into town and it’s a short drive to Acadia. The room and bathroom were clean. Staff were so friendly and chatty. They had free coffee in the reception in the mornings that was fresh. There was also a nice little outdoor common area - a perfect spot to enjoy a cool morning or evening. It is very much a no-frills motel, which was perfect for our stay.

Not a fancy hotel with a bunch of extras, but a very well-kept motel with attentive staff and more affordable than the fancy hotels. Everything in downtown Bar Harbor is walkable, and Acadia is just a few minutes away. A great home base for several days exploring Acadia by day and the surrounding communities at night.

Perfect location. The Anchorage Motel is close to everything- shopping, restaurants and the Island Explorer bus stop which will take you to Acadia National Park. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Location, Location, Location. Loved the fact that you had a 5-minute walk to shuttles and downtown Bar Harbor. The accommodations are basic, a bed, TV and a shower. But, if you're like me, you are rarely there only to sleep, and there is so much to do outdoors. Room was clean and staff was very friendly

Also a plus to have a place to park while exploring Bar Harbor. Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the pillow selection in the room, otherwise, 5 stars across the board!

Motel style with room entry for my exterior door on the upstairs walkway. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. Location was great with easy walking to the downtown Bar Harbor area for restaurants. Plentiful parking. No breakfast provided but they did have 2417 tea and coffee in the lobby and the people working at the front desk were very friendly. Kudos to Susie for her friendly manner first thing in the morning

The hotel is an older property but well maintained and clean. Not much to look at in the rooms but that didn’t spoil anything for us. Easy walk downtown and close to everything. The only detractor from our comfort was the double (full size) beds. Families may want to consider reserving two rooms. My husband and I were a tight fit on one bed so I shared the other bed with our daughter. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee and blueberry muffins in the morning!

We have stayed here numerous times over the years. If you want to park and just walk to Bar Harbor and that’s it, this place can serve your needs. If you want a quick drive to Acadia, this place can serve your needs. The staff are lovely and the coffee is the best in Bar Harbor. We love how quiet it is and look forward to the serenity. The beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of room storage. The green in the middle of the property has large chairs and a picnic table. Highly recommended this property.

We stayed 3 nights and had a great experience! Clean rooms, ours looked to be renovated, friendly staff, and was very walkable to all the downtown food and shopping. They had muffins and coffee in the mornings. On the day we checked out the front desk said we were still free to use the parking lot for the rest of the day which was really helpful as we planned to spend some more time in town before leaving.
