The staff was very kind and attentive. Unfortunately the spa and gym were closed for renovations but I was able to use a gym in an resort part of the group. Minor glitches but handled nicely and easily. I would return.

Room was clean. Check in was great, desk girl real nice and helpful. Parking $10 and convenient. There is a little bar in the courtyard and a pool. Hotel is definitely dated, but kept up. Most definitely worth the stay. We will use again next time in Ft L.

It was quiet the time we went. Had fun trying out most of the 31 pools, we managed to jump in 17 of them and 2 hot tubs.

We had a great stay! Hotel is very willing to hold your bags if you arrive early, or need to stay beyond checkout, while still letting you use the facilities. Bartender was fantastic! Pool was warm too!

No one at the lobby when we arrived or often when we needed someone due to an issue. You had to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to come from one of their other 6 properties in the area. The gym was filthy and equipment out of order. Noise from room above was excessive, especially at night when we were trying to sleep. Door lock was faulty; we were trapped inside at one point. No other egress in case of fire as windows did not open (painted shut & cranks removed). It took two days to get fixed. Large walk-in closet, but NO hangars. There were no bureaus to store clothes, so we lived out of our suitcases. The bedroom curtains did not adequately cover the windows and let in a lot of light from the exterior lighting. Bathroom tile had been painted and was peeling. Bartender did not know how to make a decent martini. Calling this a "resort & spa" is a stretch. The only redeeming factor is the location, one block to the beach.

We booked this hotel based on reviews. Maybe our expectations were set a bit high based on reviews we read. The places smelt like bleach which would indicate cleanliness but there were stains on walls, toilet and bedsheets. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, we could feel all the springs in the mattress and we sunk right in. The fridge was rusty. The safety seal on the shampoo was cracked open. The gate access lock to the property was broken so that left us feeling uneasy. The one thing we really enjoyed was the location of this property. Very short walk to the beach and a ton of restaurants. Upon checkout, we were not even asked how are stay was. Would not stay here again.

This is a great location. The resort is very dated but comfortable. It was clean when we arrived but one day it was obviously not completely cleaned the bathroom was dirty and dirty towels were left on the floors where we didn’t leave them.

Overall Royal Palms is a nice place to stay. Location is great. Block away from the beach. Shopping and dining are close by. The property itself is nice, nothing outlandish. Pools are good. The bar is good. Rooms need a bit of TLC. Shower head was corroded. Wasn’t the best pressure. The air-conditioning had mold all on the vents. Had to take a washcloth and clean it out. It’s not good if someone is allergic to mold. Hopefully to see some improvements. I would stay there again!

This property is run down, stinks like black mold. There are NO safety locks on the doors, so if you have kids they can just open the door and walk out. My 1 year old was able to open the door and we had no way to secure it except barricading the door with our suitcases. The walls are warped and look’s like water damage. The bed was not comfortable and pillows stink and are flat. You can hear everything outside your bedroom as people walk by and party. The curtains do not block out the light especially in the morning it’s very bright. The window unit kicked on and off every 3 minutes which was annoying. NO ELEVATORS so you have to carry your luggage up 3 flights of stairs. We had to park very far away from our room due to limited parking The gate that’s supposed to secure the property was left open broke all night long The floors in the room had crumbs and greasy feeling The blanket was just a sheet that looked 100 years old.

Room was very dirty and old. 2 windows had no blinds so had to stack pillows and blankets for privacy. Water was brown tinted so used bottled water to brush my teeth. Thankfully it was just for 1 night.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Royal Palms. The room was clean and spacious, AC worked well. The two pools were smaller, quiet, well maintained and always had chairs available. Staff were friendly and always available and checking in with us. It is steps from the beach and there are lots of restaurants close by. We would absolutely return and were so happy with our stay.

There were no dressers for storing clothing. The bathroom tiles close to the floor had not been cleaned in ages. The beds were comfortable. The AC worked well. The shower shampoo, conditioner and gel smelled terrible, but worked ok.

We very much enjoyed our stay!! It was a little colder in February and windy so the heated pool was great. The restaurant bar was delicious. All staff we encountered were polite and very helpful. We felt safe enough. There’s no deadbolt but you need a card to get in. It was a lowkey area so it was a quieter atmosphere however it’s definitely not soundproof. The windows don’t shut completely so sound travels! We’d visit again. We really enjoyed our experience there

Owner was super nice, check in was a bit and delayed but had a drink at the pool and it was all good. Rooms were clean and nice sized. The shower took a long time to heat up. Will return next time I am in town.

Property is within a 20 minute walk from the more heavily populated area with lots of restaurants and just a block away from the beach. Rooms need more lighting and wished there was an actual lock on the inside of the room. No do not disturb sign to hang on the door either so made us kind of feel like someone could walk in while we are in the room even though we did not have any issues while staying. Just made us feel a little uneasy.

Pros: Full refrigerator in kitchen area. Comfortable king bed. Comfortable pull-out futon couch big enough for 2 people. Short walk to restaurants, coffee, bakery, ice cream. Friendly and accommodating staff. Cons: Loud guests in pool area from 2am - 6am could be heard through bedroom windows.

It could be kind of loud / noisy from outside, but we were on a ground floor unit near the pool, and it was during spring break, so there were a lot of co-eds around (and I am well beyond my college years.) The abundance of spring breakers also probably impacted the wi-fi availability. In sum, I'd stay here again but maybe not during spring break.

We stayed here for a night before our cruise. We selected it for the proximity to the beach (1 block away) and affordability. They are connected to other properties so quite a few little bars and pools to relax in. And the staff was super nice. The only issue was the lack of full curtains. They were panels and hard to close all the way so being on the ground floor meant could see in. If you need blackout for sleeping this would not be the spot, but other than that was a perfectly suitable place to crash for a night.

First room lacked any furniture, other than the bed and the TV - no desk, no couch, no armchairs. I asked and got another room of the same size but with a couch and a desk, but the next day hot water broke, so I had to move rooms again, this time to a different building. There, again only one room out of 10 we looked at had a desk, which is the one I picked. In the room where hot water stopped working, the shower faucet was difficult to operate, it was next to impossible to completely shut the water off. The shower head in all rooms is this "square" design, which only pours water down and makes it difficult to take a proper shower. On the upside, the service was OK, Wifi was fast and reliable, and they have amenities like pool and gym and plenty of parking (which is $10/day).

I loved the location of this hotel and it's definitely a hidden gem. It was so close to the beach, so we didn't have far to walk or pay for transportation. Parking wasn't a problem on the night we stayed seemed to be plenty. The room we stayed in was large, the bed was comfortable and clean during our stay. The staff was welcoming, check-in was fast and everyone was helpful. The pool and bar area is an added bonus. It was a nice place to lounge and cool-off. The only minor to the location is it was a bit of a walk to any nightlife or stores, but not too big of a deal. If you're staying in this area, I would definitely recommend it. We can't wait to stay again.

The only minor to the location is it was a bit of a walk to any nightlife or stores, but not too big of a deal. If you're staying in this area, I would definitely recommend it. We can't wait to stay again.

Stayed Thursday through Monday of Valentine’s Day weekend. Room was serviced one time. I asked for it daily, from multiple workers. I did get an additional couple towels one day. Room 3206, which also I might add is a suite. Door did not close, had to be pulled shut. Bed was not very comfortable, rip on furniture. The bar downstairs, which isn’t owned by the hotel was nice and the people who worked there were great. Location was good, but the lackluster service is something I have a hard time with.

We chose a very quiet room. Unfortunately, it did not have a phone and the key rarely worked. So, we used our cell phones to call for assistance with the lock. Since the lobby is only manned about 2 hrs. a day, we were usually talking to an answering service somewhere in So. Florida. When we did have someone at the front desk they were very helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and the local of the resort is excellent. Too bad the owners don't care to pay for people to man the front desk and provide phones in the rooms.

I’ve arrived after midnight, the office was closed, but I’ve called the hotel and a very friendly attendant greeted me, checked me in, and showed me the room and the parking location. The room was impecable. Excellent service. Great value and location. Thanks!

Good luck finding anyone that works here. The front office was always locked and you'll need to use the ring door bell system to reach out. When they say they'll be right over it really means in 10-15 minutes. I was looking online for other hotels to stay at until they finally showed up. Overall the hotel was descent but I would for sure book elsewhere. I'm on vacation, why wait for a service that I paid for.

I was very pleased with my stay at The Royal Palms last month! The guys at the front desk are terrific and very helpful with everything which made my stay very pleasant. The room was clean and they have 3 pools and a bar with food also right by the pool. I would definitely consider booking my stay here again...

Royal Palms is always a nice place to stay. Far enough removed from the chaos of the strip, but very easy to walk to. Friendly staff, great area. Short walk to the beach, and they have nice pools, close to great restaurants also.

Cute place one small block off of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Located in a quieter section of the beach but one can still walk to several bars and restauramts from here. The hotel also has a nice little bar and pool area. Room was clean and cool. Staff was friendly. Room is pretty basic and some of the pool chairs could use a refresh but I would stay here again as I see no reason to be in the room when the beach is just steps away.

This spot was perfect! About 15-20 min walk from Fr Lauderdale strip. Quiet area, lots of breakfast and lunch areas nearby. Bar at the hotel was perfect with a heated pool!! Great place to stay!!

It was a nice stay. Great bar by the pool. They offered a great happy of 3”% off food and drinks. Food was great! Bartender James also great. Rooms are clean, no frills, but also one block away from the beach. Perfect location!

My reservation was lost in the Hotels.com system causing me to have to pay for another reservation and wait for a refund. The water pressure was horrible. There was hardly none. The bartender working Friday night & Sunday appeared to be under the influence of something. She was confused and disoriented, kept saying forgive me it’s my first day both days not realizing we where the same people both days.

Enjoyed easy check in process. Last minute booking and this was a true gem. Will def return in the near future. Aaron and Arnold at the front desk as well another gentleman made our stay that much better. Offered dining options made sure we were informed of the hotel's amenities and the other properties in the area. Offered a military discount too! Friendly bar staff and the Sat afternoon DJ was fantastic! A fun vibe and a cozy feel to the property. Thanks again for all!

I really liked this hotel. It was so nice, close to the beach, and and the staff were very helpful. Loved the pool area with music and a bar with excellent food as well. It was very clean, and I enjoyed my stay there very much. Highly recommend it.

We had a great stay! Hotel is very willing to hold your bags if you arrive early, or need to stay beyond checkout, while still letting you use the facilities. Bartender was fantastic! Pool was warm too!

Been here a couple of times now, the pools are nice and the property is well maintained. Most of the front desk people have been way more than helpful. The king size rooms sometime have an issue staying cold with the Florida heat, but other than that I’m satisfied.

The upkeep on this property is nil to none. Only good thing was the location. Things were broken and/or hanging on by a thread. The pics must have been taken at fresher point in renovation. The water was discolored, no countertop space, no robe hooks, no where to put anything in the bathroom. The mirror, towel rack, closet rod and air thermostat were all placed at heights for a 6 foot tall person. Outlets and light fixtures were loose from the wall… I could go on and on
