We were pleased with our room and our stay. We were a little sad that the pool is not available anymore. Breakfast fair was a bit light. I really appreciated the improvements and refurbishment. The last time we stayed the hotel was getting run down. They have renewed and refreshed it and it shows.

Location was ok as we could walk downtown and there was a large open park across the street. Breakfast was ok, but there were no forks one morning! Also the pool was “out of service” and looked like it had been for awhile because it was filled with furniture and boxes. Lastly, we asked for a late checkout until the time of our shuttle pickup but were told we could only stay an extra 15 min.

The front desk woman was very kind, informative and accommodating. The outside of the building is so pretty and the lobby is really nice. The rooms are so spacious it was perfect for our family. The gym was out of service, I like to workout daily so that wasn’t great. The bathroom was kind of grimy looking and the fan in there didn’t work. Otherwise it’s a great price for the space. I will be staying here again.

Don’t be fooled by the new exterior painting, this hotel is run down. The elevator isn’t safe. It broke while there. The keypads on the doors are falling apart. I had to reset my key 6 times. Once twice in a row and didn’t always open at first try. The carpet is sticky. Toiletries are very basic and poor quality. The whole thing felt like a motel. For $400 a night, I was expecting better. The staff wasn’t accommodating and on the rude side at times. Got an eye roll when I asked to have my bedroom moved away from the elevator, which didn’t happen because they were ‘sold’ out, yet when I attempted a new reservation for that day it was available. The only two good things are: the pillows are soft and the location is great.

The heat inside this hotel was unbearable. Walking into the lobby felt like a suana. I literally had sweat dripping from my forehead onto the check in counter in the short amount of time it took to check in. I commented to the girl at check in and she indicated it was always that hot. The entire hotel is this hot. We had to run the air conditioning at full blast all night despite the 50* temperature outside, and anytime we pause the air our room would heat up quickly. Additionally the door to our room was jammed, due to being hung poorly and we had to ram it with our shoulde to unjam it. Once again the front desk was aware of this issue and shrugged it off. The breakfast was fine, but the bathtub was dirty.

The room was clean and comfortable, sleeping 6 adults as advertised. The breakfast area was small, unable to accommodate large parties together. After a 12 hr flight was looking forward to swimming but the pool was not in use.

Overall the staff was pretty well rounded however I did not like how there was pubic hairs found in our bathroom when we arrived on the floor, we threw towels over it to clean up. The bedsheets had a few stains and near the headboard where you could see the twin box springs under, there was a lot of hair it was disgusting.

Saw a homeless person take off a window screen off a office window of the hotel. Informed front desk about someone trying to break into building and it seems like they didnt care. Never called for police and no security on site. Later saw hotel personal outside and they asked me what side of building person was trying to enter; I told them again if was the hotel office side. Stayed 4 nights and no maid service not once. Thought there would be service every other day or so but nothing

Wouldn't recommend anyone staying here. The whole place was tired and dirty. Asked for our room to be made up. The front desk said request had to be made when we arrived. Bathroom floor was filthy. Black mold in the shower. Hard to believe the could charge that much for what we got. Never again.

There was this weird smell and it was extremely dusty and dirty. They probably just clean high traffic areas but there was food all on the side of the night stand and the bathroom has shit all over the floor. Not worth the money.

Everything is great but a bathtub and bed placement. It is made from such a thin plastic. I could fill and hear as it flexes under my feet. I was crossing my fingers that I won’t fell through. AC unit is 6 inches away from a bed and cold air blows on your feet when you are in bed

The room was large, but the furniture was very old and worn. The bed was just okay, the towels were average. The bathroom was just disappointing, there was no lid on the toilet seat with was pretty disgusting. The shower was hard to navigate without burning yourself. The shower wall had old adhesive patches on them where bottles had been placed on one side and opposite, there were 2 empty collapsed containers where the shampoo etc should have been. The bedside lamp did not work. The ground floor room was noisy, we woke up to shouting from a homeless person outside at 4 am. The breakfast was sub par. The cooked food was tasteless and the other alternatives were not very appealing. The reception staff were very nice and helpful. When we told them about the lamp, they immediately got on the radio to get it fixed. You pay a high price for location. It was an average room… but please people .. you could at least put a toilet seat on!

Noisy on the park side of the property - 3 Street sweepers following each other and kept going past from 9:30pm to 11:30pm, the first night, second night a municipal work truck running its generator around 1:30am. Benihana across the parking lot - wonderful. Property itself was good, though.

Everything was perfect except day of departure. We had a very early departure for the train. We requested a wake up call for 4:00 am as well as to request a cab for 5:00 am. The person at the desk said she’d do alarm and no need to call cab night before but she’d leave a note to her relief. We never received a wake up call, there was no note left for relief and called cab at 4:30. At 5:00 no cab in sight. Front desk called again and they said not available right now. Finally arrived at 5:40. Things worked,out fine but no thanks to the attendant who did nothing for us. Had we not planned well to get to the train early to beat the rush, we would have missed our train

This is a decent location and hotel is just ok but the checkin situation is a complete disaster. They only have one person and a line of 30 people out the door. Have to print, sign, initial a document for every room even if one person is covering 5 rooms. This makes every person in line take 5-20 minutes. Not good when there is a 30 person line. Checkin early of after 8pm.

Manager was terrible, stickler for her rules. No early check in even with all the rooms clean and housekeeping had left for the day. We were told by 1st shift we could check in at 2:30 PM, she said she didn't care, we could wait in lobby till 4:00 PM. Took the 2nd shift an hour to get logged in and set up for his shift. No late check out, even after told yes. Watched manager argue with several quests for no reason. No pool.

We were given a key for a room that was already occupied. When we opened the door the room was in disarray. This could have resulted in a dangerous situation. When we spoke to the manager the next day she was argumentative about the situation and my concern that our deposit might not be refunded with the condition the first room we were assigned was in. The receptionist was nice but management was not.

Property did not allow check-in before 4 p.m. As a result, there was a line out the door to check in at 4 p.m. It took us at least an hour to make it through the line. Asked for fresh towels five times before we got them (the night before, in the morning as we left for the day, when we came back and noticed they weren't changed, a couple of hours later when we still didn't have them, and again when they still weren't brought up). I don't mind reusing my towel; however, the hotel needs to provide enough hooks to hang towels to dry. We had to have our room card re-keyed several times. They finally suggested the door itself needed to be re-keyed. Something was wrong with the electricity in the room. The bathroom light constantly brightened and dimmed. I couldn't get the outlet to work at one point so I re-set the outlet. The TV immediately went off. Additionally, there was a large hump in the shower area floor and the floor creaked over the tub. The breakfast was good. It was what you'd expect of a hotel. The room was larger than average with a separate room with a pull out loveseat-sized bed and desk.

Unfortunately our request to have the toilet unclogged was not taken care of. We requested this in the morning, and when we returned in the evening, the toilet had not been attended to. "We are full, and we expect the toilets to be slow," and, "No one is here to do this for you--would you like a plunger" is not exemplary service. I did speak to the manager in person the next morning, but her simple apology and no further action tells me we should not stay here again. Unfortunately.

We stayed here because it was close to the train station. The young man that checked us in set us up for a cab to pick us up the next morning at 6am. It made it very convenient.
