This is a big, busy hotel. The standard room was quite cramped and we had another large bed that was just 2 single beds stuck together. This is not a double/king! Jacuzzi was frothing from some poorly rinsed out cleaning fluid. No skin reaction yet, fingers crossed. Changing rooms have no locks on lockers so bring your own or risk leaving valuables.

Lovely hotel. Lifts were broken throughout the stay however to the point my mother had to use the stairs from 4th floor with her bad knees.

Doorman was very attentive and was the first and last person we saw on our stay. Concierge was okay & desk people were okay but doormans service stood out. Hot tub didn’t work for first 3 nights then on our 4th and last night it was too busy to get in but… the saunas are amazing.

The bed was practically a board, so prepare if you normally sleep on softer beds. After waiting for 3 hours for check-in because "housekeeping has not released the room yet" I walk into the bathroom to take a shower and notice there is a sign on the wall to put down the anti-slip mat for safety. I look at the mat, and see there is black mold all over the bottom of the mat. Hopefully this was a rare occurance, but double check your mat to be safe.

We had a standard king room on the second floor. It was small but very clean. Probably one of the cleanest hotel rooms ive stayed in. There was tea & coffee and shower gel & shampoo provided. The room was very warm so we had to have the window open a bit as well as the aircon on. The bed was very hard so i didn't sleep well unfortunately. I felt like a lizard sleeping on a rock! Not good when you have a spinal condition. Breakfast was expensive at £17.50 each so we didn't bother but there is a Starbucks in the lobby. Ive had to knock off a star for cleanliness as the pool changing rooms were not that clean with hair laying around and shower gel etc run out. The check in staff member for the pool seemed extreamly uninterested as well. The pool area is very small, not like the photos and there were just normal bright lights on with swimming lessons going on, so a bit disappointing and it didn't match the rest of the hotels appearence or standards. The hotel is a 2 min walk from the underground station with lots of places to eat around.

Really enjoyed my stay. Public transport options are very good as you have easy access to the underground to get you around as well as buses. There’s loads of food options in the area so you’re spoilt for choice. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff were friendly. I will definitely be returning in the future. Only due to personal preference if I had to choose one negative it would be the positioning of the television.

The room was ok in terms of amenities and bed for a one night stay. On the smaller side but has a little sofa fitted in so not bad. Location is great for a London visit, being 5 minutes from Kensington undergroung and the bus stops on the high street. There is Waitroise 10 minutes walk. Staff are friendly and helpful. But, The room is in desperate need for deep cleaning and renovation. The carpet is not the cleanest, has stains on the side and the wall, and the phone has layers of dirt. The phone line did not work great either as the receptionist did not hear what i was saying and just hung up. They don't provide complementary drinking water bottles. The sofas in the lobby unfortunately are worn out and stained as well. Overall if you really don't have to, look for better options worth this money.

The room was extremely clean and the bathroom also. Comfortable bed, blackout curtains and good facilities. Comfortable reception area to wait for room/taxi etc. Staff were helpful and enough of them to be available when needed. A shout out to the lovely young lady in the Starbucks coffee bar - she went the extra mile with a lovely message or a smile written on each drink. A nice touch.

Very large but let’s brand down . It’s a holiday inn so can’t expect too much but this is old and in places dirty. Spa area is cheap and chipped in places and not too clean. The room we stayed in was awful - bathroom tiny and falling apart . Bedroom weird shape and dirty. Told the hotel. They did nothing . Also if book through third party won’t let you add points to IHG account - I’d book through IGG but it’s so much more expensive so they don’t encourage you to do that . When I asked reception lady who was rude why not match the price to encourage people to book with then she shrugged her soldiers and said why don’t I e mail!!

The rooms were very small, especially the bathrooms. Our bathroom was very narrow and bathtub was very high to step up into. We are 62 and 65. It was very unsafe. Our daughters had two twins and there was no room to walk. Their air conditioner went out and could not be fixed. They brought a fan up for them to use. There were 90 degree days. Our last night they offered 50% off one night on the room or they could move them to a different room. We were leaving in the morning so we took the 50%. The girls didn’t want to pack twice before we departed. Anyone staying here, upgrade your room to a larger room.

The hotel's location is excellent. The rooms are small, but the bed and linens are good. We booked a room with a king-size bed only to find out that a king-size bed in the UK is like a queen-size bed in the USA. The tube station is close to the hotel, and several dining options are nearby. I would stay here again.

Have stayed at this hotel multiple times. Location is good, rooms are small but fine for the price, however avoid rooms that are at the end of the hallways as the bathrooms have an awful smell that comes from the ventilation. I have not had this issue in rooms close to the elevator. Service was awful this time. my AC was not working and after calling three times in the span of two days, it still was not working when I checked out.

Room was average at best but definitely not worth the money. We were talked into an upgrade which also was absolutely not worth it, dread to think what the room would have been like if we didn't upgrade. The room was very dark even with all the lights on, plus one light above the bed didn't work. Bathroom door lock was broken too, not a big deal but not great for a superior room. One day housekeeping didn't clean the room by the time we arrived back home at 5pm. When we called to ask for the room to be serviced they did arrive quickly. The surrounding area of the hotel is nice, near High Street Kensington, and there are decent seating areas in the foyer and reception. Would I use it again? Not at the same price, could have found much nicer hotels for the same price and even nearer central London.

Don’t trust the maids they came in. My daughter‘s room went through their things plugged their cell phone into my daughter‘s room and left it there and forgot it and came back for it after we called the front desk and they had to let housekeeping know housekeeping will let you into anybody else’s room. If you tell them you forgot the key hotel is not secure parking situation as a joke they will lose your keys.

Nice place to be close to one of the main London shopping arteries - easily to get anywhere in town. A busy and packed hotel, great if you like the buzz of an "American hotel" experience - which I do. Breakfast ok but certainly better value than some of the fashionable eateries on the high street.

While I was in line and already speaking to the receptionist, another guest cut in front of me and addressed her directly. She should have asked him to wait and allowed me to finish, rather than rewarding his behavior by serving him immediately. This made the experience not just disappointing, but deeply hurtful. After filing a formal complaint with Holiday Inn Guest Services, I received an apology from the hotel manager, who dismissed the incident as “a genuine human error.” While I appreciated the response, it failed to address the seriousness of what happened or the emotional toll it took on me. I strongly urge hotel management to provide proper staff training—not just in procedures, but in fundamental respect, fairness, and treating all guests equally, regardless of background, religion, or appearance. I share this review hoping no one else has to endure what I did.

Though I had a prepaid room, I arrived at 3 am to find that the hotel had sold my room to someone else!! Shocking! I decided to walk out of the hotel at 3:40 am and start looking for another hotel. A bit of a nightmare!

Checked us into the wrong room, we were told to pack our bags and go to reception the next morning to get a room change and were told it was not possible , miscommunication of staff and didn’t get a refund for the room difference.

Disappointed with check in, our room wasn’t ready for 2 hours past check in time. We’re told to sit in reception & each time told it would only be another 10mins. Very frustrating after a long travel day & only compensation offered was a couple of chocolate bars

Flew in from Chicago and took the train to the hotel. Showed up at 3:00PM which is the hotel's check-in time. Room was not available yet and they asked my pregnant wife and I to come back later. Gave my pregnant wife a free drink coupon to their bar to make up for it... Came back an hour later (4:00PM) and it was still not ready. They gave us another 2 drink coupons to make up for it. We got some food and came back and were told that we were not allowed to eat in their waiting area even though their restaurant was closed and we were only there because they didn't have our room ready.... Around 5:15PM our room was finely ready. We were compensated by 3 drink tickets to their bar and a scolding for eating while we waited. After 15 hours of travel, this really sucked. The rooms were decent. A little dated but not bad. Light switches were finicky and A/C was temperamental. Best thing was the location. Super easy to get to the underground, the park, etc. Good restaurants near by.

My daughter had a fall just before we arrived and the staff we so wonderful. They got her ice, had her settled while we waited for our room. Then they checked in on her each day to ensure she was ok.

Staff was excellent from the very beginning, they even left some wine and pastries in our room because they heard it was our 24th anniversary. Room was clean with good extras.

Great check-in experience, the hotel is a few mins from a tube and a great high street. Cafes, restaurants, shops and walking distance to nice parks. We loved being able to have a morning swim.

The location is perfect if you want to explore London and are okay with using the Underground. The hotel is in a mainly residential neighborhood with great restaurants nearby. Also getting the breakfast option is well worth it

The staff were great. So accommodating and friendly. Some black mould spits in our bathroom in the shower area. Needs some bleach. Great breakfast and good value, for money. Small room but had everything we needed. Great lication for shop, sightseeing and the park in Kensington is bliss. Food and drink a little overpriced.

The hotel is a bit more expensive than it should be, and there are some aspects that are below 4 star quality, but I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return again. Excellent location, easily accessible from High Street Kensington station and with lots of restaurants nearby. Room: Absolutely tiny room. I didn't go for a suite or anything, but I really wasn't expecting how small the room was. And the furnishings were not even as good as budget 3 star hotel chains. A refurbishment and pricing the rooms according to their size would be an improvement - if I pay for a room that small, I want a much cheaper price. Gym/spa: The gym was really big for a hotel gym. A couple of equipment were not working, but in general it was in good condition. I was impressed. The spa was nicer than some reviews suggest. The pool was a decent length, the steam room, sauna and hot tub were great additions - really small, but I mean they were there, and many 4 star hotels don't have them, so they were a big bonus for me. Also, the gym and spa were included in the cost of guests' hotel stay - no extra price. Breakfast: The gluten free options were poor for a 4 star hotel, but staff were helpful and you *will* be able to eat an acceptable breakfast, just probably not as good as you might expect.

The room was small - enough room for me to just squeeze my average sized body between the bed and the wardrobe, but tbh as I was one person, it didn’t matter that much. Breakfast was lovely with fresh pancakes and perfect pastries. Service was excellent. It’s a busy hotel but they pull all staff so you don’t queue for more than a couple of minutes.

We were pleased with the hotel in general. The staff was very friendly, the buffet breakfast was extensive and very good, the concierge was very helpful in helping us book show in Piccadilly circus, it was just a short walk to bus stops and the tube. The room was small, but we were happy to have a king size comfortable bed so that made up for the size of the room. The hotel is in a convenient location and there are some nice restaurants to have dinner within a comfortable walking distance. There is a nice bar too, though we never had a chance to go to it. All in all, it was a good experience and a comfortable hotel, and I would recommend.

Great central location. Close to the tube station. Quick check in. Rooms very nice maybe a little tired. Plenty of staff all of whom are pleasant and helpful. Starbucks cafe on the ground floor adding to convenience. Enjoyable stay.

the hotel has an amazing breakfast buffet with made to order omelettes and almost everything else you can imagine. the bed is comfortable my room was a bit small compared to the size of the bed. there wasn't much room to sit at the desk. other than that the location is excellent near many bus and the high Street Kensington underground just a few minutes walk away. this is my second time staying at this hotel and I'm gladly return if I need to stay in the Kensington area.

Checking in was horrible. We stood there waiting for over 10 minutes while they were somewhere else. The rooms are way too small and the pictures are misleading. We ordered room service and the gentleman’s that brought the food told us that the service fee was separate from a tip. Come to find out it’s the same and they got double of what they should have. The food was horrible. They charged me extra for a late check out which was not worth what they charged. I would never stay there.

the rooms are in desperate need of a deep clean and new carpet. the first suite i was put in was clearly not a suite and had barely functioning ac which broke around midnight the first night. after two nights in the hotel we complained enough times the staff (who were always very helpful and kind) moved us to a newer suit with a newer ac unit. the new room was much nicer (updated walls and carpets) and the ac was at least working if not necessarily powerful. why was that first room being used as a suite? absolutely disgraceful to consider those two rooms the same price. Saturday night, i know was the england soccer match, but having one person working the desk at midnight was a bad decision. my key stopped working and i needed a new one, this took nearly 20 minutes since the line was so long. again, very helpful staff member who was clearly in over his head and could only work so fast alone. ive stayed here 3 years in a row as ive always found it great value for the location but i will not be back next year.

Very good gym facilities and large swimming pool. Also SPA, but we did not use that. Parking facilities within in the hotel garage, which we needed. Good room standard and central location to our plans. Will definitely stay there again.
