Entrance to the check-in desk is only by steps. Lift is only from the car park in the basement which makes it extremely difficult for a woman on her own to get her suitcase up the steps on arrival and back down the steps when leaving.

Super friendly owners made sure our stay was enjoyable. The position of Waters Edge is very convenient with pubs and coffee shops all within a couple of minutes walk. Lock-up, undercover parking is a big bonus.

A perfect location for all the strand has to offer. Leonie was very helpful with my needs regarding my disability. A very good pleasant place... Rooms were sound proofed... Lovely pool and gardens and a stones throw from the beach. Gated car parking, undercover.

No door mat for patio door. No microwave bowls for cooking. Bed comfort was average to poor. Lift has no cool ventilation - extremely hot and stuffy.

Amazingly placed accomodation. Walking distance to everything we needed, when we got lazy we caught a short Uber. Clean. Comfortable. No contact with managers/owners. Very secure, so request a second key/fob on arrival or you will end up locked out. BBQ and outdoor lounge area awesome and used regularly.We will be staying here next time.

Fire alarm went off around 9:30 for no apparent reason and for nearly maximum disruption to us and all the other guests who found themselves in their payjamas in the strand waiting for the fieries to arrive and disable the alarm...not good enough!

Vending machine rip off. Small pack of Doritos 6 bucks. Machine accepts only notes. Machine does not give change. Therefore a 60g packet of Doritos costs TEN DOLLARS. Biggest travel rort since I paid $15 for a coffee in Venice.

This was my first time staying at Waters Edge and I will definitely be back! The facility was immaculate, the cleanest accommodation I’ve stayed in, maybe ever! Staff were great, check-in was nice and easy. Close to a variety of restaurants. Spacious rooms. Really enjoyed my stay.

Staff and Foyer and Welcome was great however I was placed in a room that was under renovation and the bathroom was disgraceful. The bath was marked, tiles broken, mould growing, thick tape still left on the tiles where the soap dispensers were originally placed. A hand cream dispenser which was marked “out of order”. Air conditioner had to be “left on” 24/7 for some reason. Wasn’t really worth $180 a night. Apparently rooms are in the process of being renovated?!? Not sure it’s true or I was unlucky to get a non renovated room.

This was our first time staying at the Waters Edge and it was great. We chose it because of the close proximity to the Strand , restaurants and shops. The staff were extremely friendly. We got to check in early as our room was ready. The room was lovely and clean. It looked like the bathroom had just been renovated so that was nice. Plenty of space to spread out with suitcases. A kitchenette was also handy as we were staying for a few nights. Overall it was great. And we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Location is fabulous. Shame about the sofa bed that we needed. It was held up underneath with a piece of MDF obviously to stop it collapsing when you sat on it. The mattress was ridiculously thin the floor would be more comfortable. The springs squeaked constantly and it sagged in the middle. This was false advertising as this sofa was not fit for human use and I would say dangerous especially if children were using it. It is disrespectful to guests to provide such sub standard furniture, that is advertised as a sleeping and seating option. Rates are not that cheap. I rang up direct for an extra night they quoted $40 more than online options !! Obviously I stayed elsewhere for that extra night.

Very nice unit in a well positioned property. Everything right out the front doo right on the waterfront esplanade. Only negative was our failure to receive after hours checkin information. Let into the property by a guest leaving and stumbled into someone that could help us. Otherwise we would have been forced to go somewhere else after prepaying this stay.

After driving 8 hours from Rockhampton and booking a room over a month before, I arrive to a front desk that’s closed with the shutters down that says reception hours Mon-Fri 9:30-5pm. I show up at 4:15pm. I then ring a number and speak to a woman who tells me there is no booking under my name. The best bit was they charged me the full rate a day later even though I didn’t stay there and had to find other accomodation at the last minute. Never again, hopeless.

Organize late check in, room was set on AC at 18. When entering, toilet seat was off it's brackets, informed receptionist Friday and asked for 2 extra pillows, did not get either request fixed.

A very well sited residence fronting The Strand for fresh sea air and strolls under the palms. Waters Edge is not far from Harold’s Fish and Chip shop and Juliette’s Ice Creamery, which covers two food groups necessary for holidays.
