The room was nice but a little smaller than I had imagined. The hotel itself is lovely however all the rooms are located around a central pool and bar/restaurant area so may get loud on busy nights. Luckily for us it was a quiet night. The restaurant on site is amazing with great food and drinks options. The only slight inconvenience was the car parking was difficult to find, I would recommend asking for directions prior to arrival.

Great place to stay, was only there for one night but it is a great location near the Strand. Great dining and bar facilities. Rooms were clean and tidy with motel information and menus in rooms. Really liked the convenient car parking, is a bit tight but very handy to hotel, with cctv. Will definitely stay again.

L'ascenseur ne monte qu'au deuxième et ma chambre était au troisième. Par contre le parking, situé à l'arrière permet un accès direct au premier étage. Les manœuvres dans le parking souterrain sont parfois compliquées et il peut être plein mais il existe aussi un parking extérieur. Hotel calme alors qu'on pourrait craindre les bruits du bar/restaurant de la piscine. La chambre est assez spacieuse et le lit confortable. Hotel situé au cœur même de la ville, avec toute l'attractivité de Flinders street, et Palmer Street, de l'autre côté du creek, n'est qu'à 600m. Je n'ai pas pris le petit déjeuner ni dîné sur place.

Property was ok. Not sure what it would be like on weekends due to proximity of accommodation to bar and it being in the nightclub part of town. Accommodation on 3rd floor and elevator only operates until 10pm. Rooftop swimming pool looked inviting

Lots of construction on street, not the hotel’s fault but started at 6:55 am and could be heard on 3rd floor very well. Also noisy just because it’s downtown and pool/bar/restaurant are very close on same level. Also told front desk that floor in room is very dirty. Came out of shower with clean feet, walk to bed and they were black.

Room had large red cockroaches, not just one but three. I have never seen that before in all my travels. The light in the bathroom didn’t work. A part from that the room was comfortable. Well located, walking distance to esplanade.

Good location close to ferry and the strand walk. Reception staff were great. Nice pool area and good deals on at the restaurant. Lost a star due to cleaning - we had days were our beds weren’t made, bins weren’t emptied and one of the cleaning ladies was not particularly professional in her attitude. As an area for improvement we would also suggest the WiFi code should be valid for the full stay to align with most other hotels, guests are only given a code for up to 2 days.

Our room had a water leak from the bathroom that was seeping up through the flooring. And it stunk quite bad. They seemed to know about it when I spoke with them (so why did they book the room out). They did offer us another room but it didn’t have 2 beds, only 1, which made it a little tight with the kids.

Photos really are deceiving, looks like an oasis - it’s an old backpackers with a few new cushions and a couple of prints. Rooms are small and have no power points to use, have to unplug fridge or light to access a free one. Noisy, but that’s location. Can’t open curtains, as no nets to cover people looking completely inside the room from outside as they walk by your room. Very basic, and pretty average.

It was really cute. I stayed in room 29 which was adjacent to the pool, restaurant and roof top bar. The room was beautiful and access to the whole property was easy via the lift. The restaurant food was great and I indulged with room service and there were no ridiculous service fees. The only issue I had was there was no pay TV access. I went to Townsville to stay in lovely accommodation for R&R not to sight see and to watch movies in my room for some of the time. I was told the smart TVs weren't very smart and couldn't connect to the property wifi. Anyway I read my book by the beautiful pool and was happy. At night I then streamed shows on my phone lol. I'll definitely return. Thanks team. I really enjoyed my stay of 3 nights.

The hotel rooms are directly adjacent to the rooftop restaurant, which gets loud and can stay loud very late into the night. Multiple nights we were woken by yelling and people running past our door. The rooms are small and only suitable for more than one person if they are very close. The bathroom/shower area has no privacy, so we frequently left the room while the other was showering. There's a small underground parking garage suitable for compact cars. I had a full-size three- row SUV, and scraped the frame a couple times entering and exiting the steep ramp. Prices are what you would expect for the area. It's a few blocks from the Strand (easy walking) and avoids higher prices. Very close to the ferries to Magnetic Island. Staff are friendly. Food in the restaurants is good. Pool looks nice, although we didn't use it. Separating the rooms from restaurant parties would go a long way towards making this a hidden gem. A door (even a curtain) would certainly help the privacy issue with the bathroom.

Room was clean but very small. Didn’t think it was good value for money. All the rooms are located around the pool and bar area so can be quite noisy. There is a good restaurant, parking and lifts. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t stay on a Friday or Saturday night as next door to night clubs. Unless yr going clubbing of course

The aircon is quite loud, and the fridge is right next to my bed. It’s making it hard for me to sleep. No lift to upper level rooms, so we’ll have to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs. It’s a bit like staying in a hostel.

The room was very clean and spacious. The person working at the desk was incredibly kind and answered all of my phone questions with patience and care. I just regret not asking him his name because I would like to give him a special mention. The location and cleanliness of the hotel would definitely make me choose it again. It has parking and that is also a great perk.

From the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff in the lobby were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Our room was very clean, it was spacious, and despite there being quite a few kids staying at the resort, we had the best sleep in almost 2 weeks of travelling. We hardly heard anything! The pool area was great and we really enjoyed sipping a cocktail and relaxing. There were ample seats to choose from. We checked out quite early and Ryan in reception was amazing. The only thing that I wished was different was that we booked for longer! We will definitely be staying again on our next visit to Townsville!

I am rating this hotel terrible as we didn’t get to stay there due to Cycline Koji as we were stuck in Rockhampton due to Bruce Highway closed. We phoned to let them know 1st thing in the morning as soon as we knew the roads were closed due to the Cyclone but they would not refund our accommodation which I thought was extremely disappointing that they had no lack of empathy that we could not physically get to the hotel being 8 hrs drive away in a cyclone. Such a bad and uncaring attitude for a hotel in such extreme circumstances.

I had a 4 night stay here from victor and had the best time..the food amazing,beer was cold,rooftop pool awesome but the best part for me travelling on my own was all the staff made you feel welcome..so friendly and nothing was a issue..i will be back soon and im recommending the Rambutan Resort too everyone.cheers a special thanx to Dale,Clodagh,Ben for everything they did...regards Trav.

We had a wonderful few nights stay. The hotel is centrally located with lots of dining options in walking distance nearby. The room was comfortable with a big bed especially appreciated by my tall partner. The tea and coffee facilities were appreciated and the shower had good water pressure. We enjoyed the rooftop pool with towels available and bar, and had breakfast downstairs one morning. We didn’t have any issues with noise at night, although didn’t stay over the weekend. We were able to leave our bags prior to check in and received a call when the room was ready early, which was appreciated.

Our one night stay here was very comfortable and quiet. Whilst our room was very basic and a little aged it was clean, the sheets crisp and the bed large and comfy. The hotel has amazing character and a really good vibe especially the rooftop area. The staff were so friendly, helpful and efficient. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast - delicious omelette and coffee, and a great woodfire pizza dinner. Thank you, we look forward to returning.

Lovely hotel, close to maggie ferry. Rooms clean, great shower and a nice big bed, all we needed Pool was lovely to sit at for a while, we didnt swim in it. Only thing that was disappointing was that we were overcharged as handed in the vouchers for free drinks for guest with dinner but still were charged and given the wrong chicken schnitzel. All in all, if ever in Oz again, i would stay again and do recommend the Hotel
