Nice hotel. Very suitable for the buiness traveller. Only gripe is there was no room service after 10:30pm

Checkin wasn't until 230pm, however I arrived at 9am as I had a cancelled business meeting, I asked if I could check in early, and reception checked to see if a a room was available me and it was, so that was excellent . Gym was excellent, only issue was it was a bit hot. Breakfast excellent also top quality.

Hotel was convenient and quiet. Front desk personnel was very friendly. Rooms were clean and quiet. Bartenders were friendly and generous

Loved the location - 5minute walk from Liverpool Street Station. Excellent tube connection on the Elizabeth Line to/from Heathrow as well. The modern, clean new hotel - near to St Paul's, the Sky garden, Tower of London, riverboat cruises etc. The helpful staff are all international and their command of English is perfect. Being a VIP member, we also received a room upgrade and a welcome beverage of our choice. Excellent gym facilities.

The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. Some restaurants near by. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is not room service from rest the downstairs restaurant.

The hotel is modern, comfortable and well located in the city. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The rooms are spacious, well maintained and modern. For the central location, it's quiet and peaceful. The bar was well looked after and breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Great stay at clayton hotel as usual. A peaceful stay, excellent customer service with great great bar and restaurant. Can't wait to stay again.

A weekend away in London. This was the perfect hotel in a great location for the city. There were only really two issues , 1/ Roadworks prevented taxis getting to the hotel. 2/ the bar closed between 2245/2300 which meant on our return from a night out we had no drinking facility to sit and chat about the nights event.

All good - friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with shower and tub. Gym could be a bit more versatile, but all in all a good stay.

What a find the Clayton was! Reception was friendly and efficient, we were in our room within five minutes. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. Breakfast was amazing, with waiter service. The room was very well appointed and the beds were comfortable. We had a great stay and would definitely use the Clayton again on our next visit to London. The surrounding area was quiet, little or no traffic to spoil your sleep. A great location with easy transport links.

In my 35+ years of staying in hotels, I have never been as disgusted as when I saw the state of the throw pillows on the bed. They must have been thrown on the floor many times and never been washed. See the attached pictures, which are not even colour-accurate because my smart phone apparently can't take the picture properly. After going online and reading other reviews, I decided not to go downstairs to complain because it's obvious from those reviews it woulnd't make any difference. It means the hotel staff has simply given up on their guests and on any level of quality. Why hotels keep insisting on putting throw pillows on beds is beyond me. Why would you put something that is rarely washed and often ends up on the floor on clean white linnen, where people put their face on to sleep ? There is no function at all, it is not even esthetically more appealing than a bed with clean white linnen and pillows. Next to the disgusting state of the throw pillows, the mattress was without a doubt the firmest I've ever tried to sleep on... and failed miserably. According to my watch, I sleep for 3,5 hours in segments of 30 minutes. I checked out after 1 of 2 nights. I will absolutely never stay in a Clayton Hotel again.

Unfortunately we had an unclean room but the reception/manager sorted it out for us and upgraded us as an apology. Great transport links and not far Liverpool St.area to eat /drink.

Our room at the Clayton was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is in a good location, as it is not far from Liverpool Street station and Spitalfields, but is away from the noise and bustle of these areas.

Our stay was great. The room was lovely, quiet and clean, the staff were nice and friendly and the bed was comfortable.

Lovely hotel in great location for Liverpool Street station and St Paul’s area. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday after a really early flight. Was delighted when they were able to give us our room straight away. A life saver and allowed us to get settled before we headed to football game. Really appreciated that. Lovely clean room with very comfortable bed. Will be back.

Not such a perfect experience this time round. Started at the checkin where we was told we had been upgraded as part of the platinum reward scheme. (I had to ask) This however wasnt true we was in the most basic smallest room they do. I usally dont quibble or even bother to look around i just book. The Clayton as ive found is perfect value,comfort style just about perfect. I book on average in London every other week 9 months of the year. Its definitely my go to. It really does appear to be whoevers on the desk as to if they feel like upgrading you. The cleanliness this time round was quite unusually questionable, I found pubic hairs in the bath. Also the fridge wasnt working, the room felt tired with a damaged bath and marks here and there. As i said it wasnt quite as it usally is. Maybe we will try again but i certainly didn't feel as rewarded for our loyalty to the chain how we usally do. There were rooms showing as available on their website which i questioned them regarding however it was dismissed quite abruptly. A shame but it really is pot luck as 95% of the staff are so accomadating especially as a wheelchair user space is such appreciated. When you cant fit down the side of the bed its a real shame.

Great locations, great staff - let down by plumbing in our room that created a foul smell so we had to move rooms. At 11:30 PM.

Liked the decor, location, and room size. But the balcony door was practically impossible to open, even with maintenance staff trying and only managing to open it once. Door or key lock needs to be replaced. Also, tub took about 10 minutes to fill despite the drain being closed - strange. Service was ok - the reaction to the balcony door issue could have been better, a discount to the room rate would have been warranted.

Competent and professional staff, small but adequate room with modern facilities and recently upgraded bathroom. Breakfast was the best ever. Very quiet area. Definitely would recommend.

Wifi is poor which is frustrating.

The people at the hotel were great. The room was clean, and housekeeping did a great job. The room TV was utterly useless, and makes you cast everything from your mobile device. They do not offer any sort of local TV whatsoever. The problem with this is that I'm from another country, and none of my streaming apps worked as a result. So, I was just unable to watch TV in my downtime.

A really nice hotel with good size room and large bathroom which included a bath and separate walk-in shower. Location perfect, quite but within short walking distance of attractions and restaurants.

Great hotel, large room with a large bathroom (tub & separate shower), TV, desk, sofa, chair, refrigerator, safe, coffee maker, hair dryer, two elevators, great hotel staff, everything we needed or could want! Very nice restaurant attached to the lobby (great full breakfast and more) open until 10pm, great staff. Located in the business area, not overrun by tourists, close to subway "Bank Station", and also has a selection of nearby premium restaurants and pubs.

Found it inconvenient that the there was no plug for hair dryer in the bathroom? Bed was very hard!! They really need to upgrade.

The room was spacious, with a comfortable duvet and good quality pillows. The location was excellent, situated between two tube stations in a quiet area where no street noise could be heard. However, the mattress was quite firm, and the air conditioning was noticeably loud.

As someone who travels frequently for both work and leisure, I was very disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. I’ve experienced far better service at 2-star hotels. I have food allergies and made this clear to the staff. Still, my breakfast had to be sent back four times. On the fifth attempt, I ate some eggs that looked fully cooked, but I became seriously ill shortly afterwards. This ruined my final day in London, and I had to cancel all my plans. What shocked me most was how little they seemed to care. The restaurant staff showed no real concern for my allergy, and I was left with the clear impression that they simply didn’t take it seriously. This kind of attitude isn’t just disappointing - it’s dangerous. I never received the juice or coffee I ordered, and the receptionist appeared completely indifferent when I raised my concerns. Allergies are not a lifestyle choice. They’re medical conditions and must be treated as such. It felt like no one was paying attention. I gave the same clear instructions each time. This has never been an issue at other hotels where staff were careful and accommodating. The hotel also lacked basic facilities for EU travellers: no suitable plug sockets, and the USB ports weren’t compatible with USB-C. I couldn’t charge my phone during my stay. Despite everything, I received no refund or compensation. I regret spending £350 and I will not be staying here again, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to others.

On arrival a very friendly welcome, very easy check in process and an upgrade to celebrate our anniversary together with my wife’s birthday..

Hotel was very clean and close to the underground, we arrived early and room was not ready. Front desk staff gave us a hard time on the breakfast which was included and I was told I had to pay to get whatever room available at the time of arrival. Expedia VIP amenities were totally neglected.

Wonderful front desk staff with easy check in. Room was comfortable with good choice of drinks. Bar staff were very professional and accommodating. Even though we paid for breakfast, the staff were absolutely brilliant and made sure that our food was served promptly. We will be back.promptly.Lovely coffee and greatchoose from.

Expedia Gold Member, not offered upgrade although they were available, was not given drinks tokens until I asked. No discounts offered. Asked for credit card on file but no money will be taken out, £50 was taken out. And refunded 3 days later. Room was small, but clean. Good quiet location are the positives I guess. Staff were friendly apart from my initial receptionist who offered me none of my perks. Won’t be staying again

Brilliant hotel with really friendly staff. Breakfast was one of the best in London. Good location with excellent transport links but also very quiet.

The member of staff at check in was very helpful & friendly, the glass of prosecco whilst filling in paperwork was a lovely touch. The Hotel contacted us a few days prior to arrival to offer an upgrade at a reduced rate & the Deluxe room 509 was amazing - loved having a sofa to relax on, mini fridge with water & snacks & beautiful bathroom. The bar had a good range of seating & the barman in the evening was great and even said goodnight to everyone still in the bar before he left. Breakfast in the morning was delicious - there was plenty to choose from - nice to be served rather than a buffet. Great hotel not too far from the tube - would choose this hotel again.

The hotel is in ideal and convenient location. We were able to easily walk to Borough Market and Covent Garden, plus it was easy to get to on the tube from Euston, Paddington and to a gig at Wembley Stadium. We were lucky to arrive at 12pm and find that our allocated room wasn’t ready, yet they upgraded us to a superior room. The room was perfect - size, super king bed, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, bath, separate shower and air con that worked well. The staff at reception and in the breakfast service were so friendly and helpful. We had the “basic” breakfast included in our room rate and it was more than adequate. We could have upgraded to a la carte, but there was more than enough to choose from without doing so. It is in a quiet location if staying on a weekend as it is in the financial district. So plan ahead if you want to get drinks or snacks to take back to your room. We ended up walking a short distance to McDonald’s at Liverpool St as we had been out all afternoon! We would highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet weekend hotel in easy walk of Mansion House and Moorgate

We love staying here at the weekends because it’s quiet but only a 10 minute walk from Shoreditch or 5 mins from the nearest stations. It’s clean, staff are helpful and the rooms are big.

Excellent hotel, close to a train station and bus routes. Its on a side street so its very quiet during the day and night. Very good breakfast. Rooms are very nice too.

This hotel is in the heart of London’s financial district. It is ideal for business travelers. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms are spacious, compared to other London hotels at similar prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful! I will definitely stay here on my next business trip to London.

Functional clean room with a particularly good bathroom. Good A/C, coffee machine and Tv. In a very quiet location but near to tube stations and other attractions such as the sky garden.

The location is within a 10-minute walk to the tube station and a 5-minute walk to the nearest bus stop. The property itself is in a quiet part of town and not super close to the busier areas of London, so it was quiet however required public transportation for most popular activities. Staff was kind and helpful and the onsite bar was nice to have a drink after a busy day. Room was clean and decent size, however I chose a room with a balcony which we ended up not using at all as it faces offices and found it odd to be out in the balcony while folks were working so I'd recommend opting out of the balcony rooms, aside from that a decent property for your stay in London

Lovely stay. Hotel in quiet business type area so was quiet walking back but felt safe too. Close to bank and moorgate stations. Breakfast was best I've had I've got to say. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Large room everything we needed. Fantastic bath which is always welcomed. Unbelievable breakfast.

Breakfast was no buffet/self service rven for coffee and the ordet and delivery was VERY slow.
