What an absolute pleasure to stay here! Nice smaller sized hotel which was exactly what we were looking for . The beach is immaculate, with plenty of cabanas. Such a nice change from the usual loungers most hotels have . The beach is beautiful and clean and the water is amazing . I really was not expecting it to be so lovely, it exceeded our expectations for sure . The buffet was really good, as were the drinks and cocktails. The staff is friendly and service was good . The only issue we had was the wifi as it wasn’t working a lot of the time . I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing beachfront holiday

You get what you pay for. The food was ok, but the pool and beach cabana was what made it great. It would have been better if there wasn’t any construction right next to the pool.

El hotel tiene un precio económico y las habitaciones están bien por el costo. Sin embargo, sentí que gran parte del personal trabajaba desmotivado y con poca energía, aunque sí hubo algunas excepciones con buena actitud como Rosario y Enrique. La comida fue uno de los puntos más débiles; algunos platillos estaban aceptables, pero si buscas opciones saludables o frescas prácticamente no hay. El gimnasio es muy básico: solo cuenta con mancuernas y una caminadora, lo cual limita bastante para quienes desean mantener una rutina más completa. Read the reviews and believe them. Food was just ok ..felt like we were eating the same thing over and over at the buffet. For the other restaurants you have to have a table before you can get food, seating was limited. Albatross required reservation Cons 1. We had an outdated room with only two working electrical outlets, none near the beds even though there was an alarm clock on the end table with no plug anywhere near. they told us they would bring us an extension cord due to limited electrical outlets...which they never did. 2.Toilet clogged daily. We contacted the front desk daily about the toilet, we requested to be moved but they told us the hotel was booked 3 We had to call twice to get toilet paper and wash clothes because they would not replace. 4. They give you two bottles of water a day and if you need more they charge. 5.The safe was not working when we arrived and it took two calls and a visit to the front desk to get it taken care of. 5. The only entertainment we saw while there was a Mariachi band. They don't have pool games or any entertainment staff. There is no music played at either pool. 6. The hot tub was cold. 7. Drinks very watered down. 8. Only given one room key regardless of how many guests. Pros: 1.Quaint hotel. This resort is very hard to write a review for because there were things that were incredible and things that were bad. First the good things...we stayed in a room with a balcony on the 4th floor over looking the ocean. Incredible view! One night we walked on the beach at night and giant turtles start crawling onto the beach! All you can drink! The staff we met were 99% super nice and hospitable. The cabanas on the beach were super nice, we spent half of one day just laying around having cocktails there. The bad...room was very worn, stains on some of the bedding, water would barely drain in the shower, wifi barely ever worked, food was sub-par but was edible. Overall, if you want a place close to the party area in hotel zone, nice beach front, great view, all-inclusive for a good price? This is the place....but not if you want nice updated accommodations.

The staff was generally friendly although many of them did not speak English so communicating was a little difficult but we got by, not a huge problem. The maintenance on the property seriously needs to be stepped up. In our bathroom we had black mould-like splatter on the ceiling. Shower curtain rod was all calcified on one end. No outlets on the wall where the beds were. Extension cord provided was very unsafe having been electrical taped together with no ground wire. Wet clothes hanging wire had no anchor on opposite side and would not extend all the way anyways. Provided towel rack was loose on the wall. Hot water did not work the first night. Nothing critical (except the hot water, that’s janky) but definitely shows a lack of care or possibly budget for maintaining the property. Food was decent, the star of the show being the pizza. Rented a cabana one day and the service was fantastic and the food selection was good. Definitely could have used more chairs around the pool areas. Overall, not terrible but not great.

Our entire room had MOLD; walls, ceiling, the bathroom sink. Room service was very bad never did they ever answer a call. The hotel says is has free wifi, but they don't mention it's only in the lobby. Definitely not coming back here. Never did I see someone cleaning the pool, the pool had foamy vomit looking floating around. Not to mention there was a pad with blood under the stair bridge of the pool. Saw it the first day I arrived and it was still there by when I checked out. Very disappointed.

Room spotless and spacious and minibar restocked daily with water, beer and fizzy. Tv mostly Spanish but did have one English movie channel, it is a smart tv so Netflix etc accessible but Wi-Fi not great but it does work although keeps dropping out. I was initially in a standard room but all standard are road side and noisy so I upgraded for a small fee to an ocean view room which was perfect. All inclusive buffet was ok, never hot though only ever warm. All staff were always super friendly and accommodating, nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole hotel and grounds were very clean and staff always busy cleaning including the beach areas. Overall I would recommend this hotel

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! It is NOT A RESORT! STAFF IS NOT FRIENDLY! FOOD DISGUSTING AND UNSANITARY!!! FLIES WERE ALL OVER THE FOOD! FLIES WERE SEALED INSIDE OF THE WRAPPING WHEN I RECEIVED MY “PIZZA”! I woke up to my room walls covered with ants! Broken doorknobs, Broken Shower heads. No shower pressure! I could not even shower! The entire place stinks of mold! I can go on and on…! If you do not speak Spanish, the staff does not like you!!!

Foram dias difíceis, fiquei uma semana hospedada. Tive muitos problemas no quarto, dei azar peguei um quarto antigo com banheira estilo americana que a água do banho não descia, no segundo dia o vaso entupiu, no terceiro dia deu um temporal que o quarto alagou pela porta de entrada, bem em frente ao banheiro e pela janela que deveria ser bem vedada. Descobri que tinha entrado água indo no banheiro pela manhã, quase escorreguei. Os funcionarios vieram sempre arrumar e secar o quarto, mas já estava cansada de problemas todos os dias, quis trocar o quarto e falaram que não tinha nenhum disponivel, mesmo eu me oferecendo para pagar mais para ficar em um quarto melhor, um absurdo! Sobre os funcionarios, eram bem atenciosos mas insuficientes, ficavam sobrecarregados. Restaurantes sempre com fila de espera, restaurante da piscina com poucos lugares. Sobre a comida, tudo tinha o mesmo gosto no restaurante principal, colocam coentro em tudo e em excesso, um horror, o que salvou foi o jantar no restaurante em frente a praia que servem comida italiana, essa muito boa. A localização é otima, a praia é linda, podia ter atendimento para bebibas nas cabanas da praia. Se voltar a Cancún, não ficaria novamente neste hotel.

Foods & drinks facilities, the pool, bars were great. Things we didn't like Pillows cleanses, beach was not clean & accessible, water was running to the hallway from the bathroom, one of the cabinets drawer was not opening, the closet doors were not closing properly, all this items we discovered at the time we took the room.

The room had the ‘Laguna view’, which means that it was just above a busy road, and consequently, very noisy. It was impossible to use the balcony to relax because of the noise.

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. The ocean view would have been awesome except it was blocked by all the palm trees. When you stepped out on the balcony you couldn’t see the beach or the ocean. We were on the 4th floor and we had reserved the premium ocean view deluxe room. The view of the palm trees and coconuts was very disappointing. We were expecting to see the beach and ocean. Everything else was fine. The food selection could have been better. They served pretty much the same food every day. If you liked to drink alcohol then you would be fine. They had plenty of bars that would cater to you with plenty of alcohol. If the palm trees weren’t blocking the view of the ocean and the food choices were a little better then I would rate this hotel a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Our overall stay was good. The staff was excellent and service minded and no complaint can be made on that behalf. The quality of the hotel was however outdated and had issues. We had a oceanfront room. The view was beautiful and breathtaking. But because the door was poorly insolated, we couldn’t sleep without noise cancelling headphones. Food was fine. Whenever you chose something local it was really good. Overall we had a nice experience, but with issues due to the fact that the hotel needed a modernisation.

The staff are fantastic, my first room was awful (on the main floor right beside the housekeeping supply room) but They moved me to an upgraded ocean view room, then it was great. The buffet is small, but pretty good food.

Tv mostly Spanish but did have one English movie channel, it is a smart tv so Netflix etc accessible but Wi-Fi not great but it does work although keeps dropping out. I was initially in a standard room but all standard are road side and noisy so I upgraded for a small fee to an ocean view room which was perfect. All inclusive buffet was ok, never hot though only ever warm. All staff were always super friendly and accommodating, nothing was ever too much trouble. This was my first all-inclusive resort experience, and aside from the food and drinks, I was disappointed. Three front desk staff were very kind, but other interactions made us feel like a nuisance. We will absolutely come back. The staff was great, their service was fantastic. The whole resort was clean, all of the staff was constantly cleaning and making it look nice. The food was good. The only thing I was disappointed about was not getting to try Alberto’s. For that you had to make a reservation between the hours of 3-5 the day prior. We were always out and about and never got the chance to do so. But other than that no complaints. A super nice resort.

Excelente atención dan ganas de regresar, la playa estaba en buenas condiciones, habitación limpia. No me gusto que no hicieron la limpieza temprano tuve que reportarla para que hicieran la limpieza, no recogieron el servicio del desayuno y la comida que sobro estaba echandose a perder, algunos meseros se molestan si no dejas propina.

Two of the workers were really nice but the majority just seemed rude or unhappy. The air conditioning didn’t work in our room the last two nights. The bars and restaurants have random hours. Also no internet in the hotel rooms but it works around the lobby and pools. There are other places with higher quality and better prices.

First- money went missing which was in the safe. We left for the day and upon returning, money was missing from the safe. Turns out the safe was not functioning properly. I put in a random code and it opened. Great!!! Food is good if you like and enjoy Mexican cuisine. The buffet is Mexican food so if you don’t like this, you won’t be happy with the buffet food options. The Italian restaurant is good. The pizza and snack bar also good. Drinks were odd depending which bar they were made. I found the bar by the pizza place to be the best for drinks. Great ocean view like any other resort. There are far more palm trees than I have seen at other resorts which was nice. Many cabanas on the beach. Never had a day without one. Staff are very friendly. Some staff better than others in the buffet restaurant but that’s not unusual as compared to other places. Room was clean. Had to ask for coffee as there wasn’t any left and it didn’t get restocked. Location is great, walking distance to la isla shopping if that’s your scene- it’s not mine. I much prefer the old la isla before it became what it is now. Easy to take the city bus out to other areas and to downtown Cancun.

The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were spacious and clean, making it easy to get solid rest. The resort has five restaurants, but we mostly experienced a few: La Fuente Restaurant is a buffet spot next to the main pool, offering international cuisine. I stayed for 8 days, and 4 of those days the buffet featured Mexican food. Albatros Restaurant is beachfront and focuses on seafood. The fish tacos were outstanding! Some dishes like lobster or premium ceviche cost extra (around $100). Don Roberto’s Bar & Pizza served great pizzas definitely worth trying. Las Palmas Snack & Pool Bar was perfect for grabbing burgers, milkshakes, and other poolside snacks. One downside: I wish housekeeping had done a better job cleaning sand from the room, especially since the kids tracked in a lot after coming back from the beach. The sand would end up all over the floor and bathroom. That said, the staff overall were friendly and professional. The rooms had a charming Mexican casa feel one of the main reasons I chose Flamingo Resort. The location was also convenient. There’s a bus stop right in front of the resort where you can catch a ride for 12 pesos to Mercado 28 (a local market). Directly across the street, there's a pharmacy and a convenience store. A Circle K is just a 2-minute walk away, and a 7-Eleven is about 5 minutes away. The mall is also within a 7-minute walk.

There is NO WAY this a 4 star property! There is literally only 2 restaurants (a buffet and a pizza shop). There is absolutely no activities. The hotel rooms are run down, the sliding door doesn’t slide without a fight. The bathroom was flooding. Considering I have stayed at about 6 different hotels in Cancun in the last 7 years this was the absolute worst! Pay an extra $40-50 and stay somewhere else. And you’ll be lucky if you find someone that speaks English!

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. The ocean view would have been awesome except it was blocked by all the palm trees. When you stepped out on the balcony you couldn’t see the beach or the ocean. We were on the 4th floor and we had reserved the premium ocean view deluxe room. The view of the palm trees and coconuts was very disappointing. We were expecting to see the beach and ocean. Everything else was fine. The food selection could have been better. They served pretty much the same food every day. If you liked to drink alcohol then you would be fine. They had plenty of bars that would cater to you with plenty of alcohol. If the palm trees weren’t blocking the view of the ocean and the food choices were a little better then I would rate this hotel a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Would not stay here again. Felt uncomfortable since our first day. Food was not at all great. Paid for all inclusive still had to pay for room service. One buffet area and was always packed. Small restaurant that we had to reserve. Horrible cell/internet service throughout the whole hotel.

Hotel tem fila pra tudo, pro café da manhã, almoço, jantar... chegamos a ficar 1:10hs na fila pra conseguir almoçar. apenas dois restaurantes e muita desorganização na liberação da mesas. Se você quer ir para um resort para ficar em fila, esse é o local certo.

The service was great everyone was very nice and friendly. The food was not very good and the options were limited. Also the buffet is too small for the amount of people the hotel is hosting. More maintance is needed we where move rooms twice for water spills. Overall it was a great experience I just expected more entretaining option and activities

Room spotless and spacious and minibar restocked daily with water, beer and fizzy. Tv mostly Spanish but did have one English movie channel, it is a smart tv so Netflix etc accessible but Wi-Fi not great but it does work although keeps dropping out. I was initially in a standard room but all standard are road side and noisy so I upgraded for a small fee to an ocean view room which was perfect. All inclusive buffet was ok, never hot though only ever warm. All staff were always super friendly and accommodating, nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole hotel and grounds were very clean and staff always busy cleaning including the beach areas. Overall I would recommend this hotel

El hotel em general es aceptable pero no esperes un trato vip por que no sera asi carece , mucho de servicio y buena actitud con los guespedes la comida es terrible muy poco variedade y dando las 11 pm el hotel se muere se cierra todo. Y en el dia es super aburrido

The buffet staff was great! Especially Carlos! He was super helpful when my granddaughter needed assistance with and allergic reaction to peanuts in the food. He was so kind and genuinely caring. Also the concierge, Misael, was so personable and kind. He made our stay more pleasant. The beach was gorgeous!! With lots of palm trees, cabanas, beautiful blue-green water, and super fine white sand.
