The facilities were great and staff were all lovely. The condition of the building does impact the ability to keep it clean and maintained effectively, which does let it down. There was also no monitoring in the fitness area which meant that very young children were with their parents in the sauna and steam room.

Lovely hotel, extremely reasonable and great reception staff. The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was great - lovely views over Edinburgh in the morning room. The pool and sauna/steam room we're also nice. The only minor gripes we had here were that the sauna didn't have coals so was not as hot as we're used to and there was an unadvertised kids' swimming class at 9am that rendered the pool almost unusable. When checking out, the reception staff apologised and stated the class should have been 11am. Really minor point in a lovely stay - we will certainly be back!

Lovey big family room. Downside the floorboards in our room and the one above were very noisy. Room above kept small child awake. However the staff were lovely, food was great and the pool was great to stay with kids.

Free on-site parking, although it was very busy, and only 15 minutes drive into city centre. Great staff, breakfast was good, room was spacious and of good standard, just needed a bottle of drinking water. I’d certainly stay again

Room not serviced during my stay. Wake up calls had not been cancelled on room phone, so woken early both mornings despite letting then know. Sunday morning breakfast was really nice with good service.... Monday not so good...breakfast dried up, things not replenished...poor service.

Very large room with comfortable bed and very clean. Good restaurant and bar service. Only downside was the noise. The floorboards above were so creaky that we were woken up constantly with people walking around above us and doors slamming outside our room. But overall, a good stay.

Lovely hotel, extremely reasonable and great reception staff. The room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was great - lovely views over Edinburgh in the morning room. The pool and sauna/steam room we're also nice. This hotel is not where near downtown Edinburg. The rooms are SO dirty, mold, the fan had nothing but dust on it and there is NO air-conditioning of ceiling fans. we paid 300$/night midweek and it was SO disappointing. Also, this hotel is NOWHERE near downtown; the city bus will take over 45 mins. (even though they tell you it takes 15 minutes, maybe in the middle of the night).

The hotel / breakfast etc. is ok for the price. Beds are huge and everything you'd expect for a chain hotel. We'd booked 2 rooms. Housekeeping was very good after the first night but non existent after the second night...one of the staff knocked several times at 10am, saying that she needed to change the towels, I asked her to come back when we went out at 10.30 but she didn't bother so the room wasn't serviced, neither was the other room. Neither of the hairdryers worked properly.

The staff were really good and do was the service of the hotel. The beds were good to and the hotel amenities were good. However the floor made a large noise when anyone waked on it. Anyone walking outside we could hear large squeaking noises in the room. Also anyone walking on the floor above we could hear notices as night because of which our sleep was disturbed all the time. The toilet exhaust was not working and the radiators needed cleaning. I did complain to the hotel staff but doubt they could do anything given it’s a maintenance issues

Stayed for only one night due to a very early flight the next morning. My kids loved the bunk beds, and the room was very spacious. The bus stop is very close to the hotel and kids enjoyed the double decker bus experience to downtown Edinburgh. Plenty of free parking available at the hotel. Staff was friendly. Would recommend!

Overall was average, but we kind of knew what to expect. Nothing too bad. The positive was the size of the family room. It was really spacious. Downsides were the bunk beds were next to the lift shaft which was a little noisy and the room had no air con and it was a bit warm.

Rooms are quite nice with comfy bed and bathroom looked modern and recently renovated. Pool is quite narrow but a decent size from end to end when no-one is using it. Bar looks OK but strangely has a soulless vibe to it. The hotel does have a decent wifi and is well located for the airport. It is also well placed for Western Edinburgh. A small hike to get to the nearest bar or restaurants. I never used the restaurant.

Check in was very efficient, staff were all very helpful and polite. Bed was enormous and very comfortable, room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, with a varied choice, although some of the cooked items had obviously been out for a while and were inedible.

Check-in was good, room fine, evening restaurant service was poor, thankfully no service charge on our bill as the service was well below expected standards for a hotel in Edinburgh. On check out our hotel the receipt for our 1 night stay with no breakfast was £184.05, however Hotels.com had charged us £209.70? So when question on their App, they told us to ignore the hotel receipt, this was what they they paid for block booking rooms, so Hotel.com took £25.65 commission, so i will be booking directly with hotel's in future. This price is before the Edinburgh festive starts in August, expect to pay substantially more then for a 3 star.

Unfortunately, a bad experience - a party in an event room directly below our room had the pounding bass of a live band until after 11pm, then more music until well after midnight. Tried to call reception twice to find out when it was scheduled to stop, and no-one picked up either time. Went down to reception, and the person there had no idea about the event or when it would end. Room was incredibly hot, and breakfast was pretty disorganized - no glasses, no cutlery and it seemed like there was too few staff to deal with a full room. We won’t be staying in a Leonardo hotel again.

Wonderful staff and incredible service. Made my stay very enjoyable. Great location to Uber or bus into town and avoid the traffic and stress of the old town. The breakfast haggis is a must try. Can’t wait to stay again.

Staff were not great, check in never mentioned dinner or breakfast. We asked re dinner at 7.50 pm to be told the restaurant closed in 5 minutes, so rushed through to the bar to be told it closed at 8.45 pm ? Breakfast service was not good, dirty tables everywhere, buffet looked very sparce, and not replenished quick enough.

It was quite nice. It’s called the Leonardo Murrayfield but it’s not in Murrayfield, it’s quite a lot further out then that. So worth checking in the map before booking

Overnight stay before going to airport. It was easy to get to getting bus from town centre to the hotel the number 26 bus then the next day get the 100 from round the corner to the airport. Beds are comfortable and breakfast was buffet style, plenty to choose from. Staff were lovely. The only downside for me was the lift was not working and I couldn’t use the pool facility as I’m not good with stairs.

Had two rooms for two nights. Ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel both days. Food was lovely. Extremely friendly helpful staff. Downstairs very modern but dated halls. Rooms spacious, walls could possibly do with a wash and curtains rehung as off the rail in places. other than that clean and good amenities. Only downside, website advertising as air conditioned, which was a must for a hotel when I was looking. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning in any of the rooms, the hotel did provide a fan, this would be my only reason for not staying again if visiting during summer months.

Decent hotel with free parking on site. Reception friendly and helpful. Room was large with a massive bed and very comfortable. Everything was very clean. If I wanted to pick fault I’d say the room had no air con. First night was incredibly hot. Also hotels at this cost provide bottled water free of charge and the room has a small fridge. The breakfast was a really good standard and food high quality. A good choice too. Eating in the hotel is pricey but again is good quality

The front counter staff was friendly. The food from the restaurant was OK. It was extremely noisy doors, slamming all night. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet seemed old, and for the price was not worth it, and no freshly brewed coffee. We stayed for about 7 nights and only ate breakfast there once because of how bad it was.
