Novotel Edinburgh Park

Near the train and tram station that take you diectly to town in 15-20 minutes. The tram also goes to the airport in other direction. Rooms are big enough and not crammed. Enjoyed the hotel restaurant and friendly staff. Pool and exercise area for family. Will stay here again when i revisit Edinburgh.

This was our 3rd visit in 3 years, staff are fantastic, they are professional, helpful and extremely friendly. Great location and we will definitely be back again!. The pool is fantastic, the only suggestion that I have for the pool is a non slip flooring type mat around the pool as it gets very slippery when walking around the pool side. My autistic 7 year old son loves staying here and can’t wait to come back, Vittoria has made us feel valued and welcome over the last 3 years, I feel she is a true inspiration and valuable member of your team.

All fine, but most of the gym equipment didnt work. I book htels for the fym specifically.

The Novotel is 200 metres from the city bypass and M8 - perfect if driving from North or West. You have a great choice of bus, tram or trains to the city centre. We took a tram to Murrayfield for the rugby and it took about 15 mins. Given that it’s so good for drivers It’s frustrating to pay £250 a night and then be hit for additional parking charges. You should reconsider this charge. Staff were great and breakfast was lovely.

Convenient and with ample parking.

Smart TV didn’t work in room and staff came up straight away and then switched our room to an executive room. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, great pool

Stayed here 2 nights for a concert. Hotel was super-conveniently located for tram to Murrayfield, and also for getting into City Centre. Pool and lounge were terrific. Staff was very helpful and friendly

Nice hotel, good location close to the tram that links airport to city centre and passes Murrayfield. Gym and Pool are nice but gym could do with some free weights dumbbells/kettlebells

Property is outside the city but the tram is very close and inexpensive. Everyday I had to get my keycard reissued which was a pain but not a deal breaker. Breakfast was good with a large selection. I forgot to tell the staff before I left (it was 0500 when I left) that the carpet next to my bed felt damp as there may be a leak from the shower on the other side of the wall (room 333). It didn’t effect my stay just something they should check. Overall it was a nice experience.

There was music blasting from below our room until midnight, and after mentioning that, it never got turned down at all, it continuously got louder until 12, the flusher in our bathroom was broken and the window ledge was really dirty, it’s a shame as I’ve stayed here previously and it was fine so it’s obviously going downhill.

Think this the 5th or 6th time we have been. Staff were really friendly and approachable. Room was clean and fresh too

We had a really great time at Novotel in Edinburgh. We were so close to the Tram and able to go into the city in 10-15 minutes. Our room was very clean and comfy. The service was 5 stars. The breakfast was impressive with a lot of variety. The hotel restaurant was excellent. Our kids also enjoyed the pool. A very good choice if you want to visit Edinburgh!!

Staff were friendly. Bedroom was clean and tidy. The bed could have been a bit more soft but the pillows were soft. The pool and facilities were great. The restaurant food/drink was great.

Overall, we enjoyed this hotel. It was clean and convenient. The "family room" concept didn't work very well for us with a three year old. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was no space in the room. Also several dangers within reach like immovable hot lamps, sharp corners, and a weird, two-part door with a built-in mirror on one part. Also, the shower glass is not sealed at the bottom, so water goes everywhere. But if it had only been my husband and I, the room would have been great. We appreciated the fridge and safe.

The hotel was very convenient. Very close to the tram line straight into Edinburgh city. The air conditioning was excellent. Something that has been hard to find on our trip to the UK.

We liked the nice pool area, which opens until 10pm. The personal was very friendly. And we liked the good location close to the Airport (15-20min. via Tram or Taxi) and the Tram to the City Centre (15min). The restaurant has nice interieur, but the food was expensive and not a good quality. Our room was too small for a family of 4. The carpet smelled bad. It was said, it‘s because of cleaning and we just should open the windows, but that didn‘t help for our stay there.

We were staying for two nights to attend a wedding. The superior room was spacious, clean and tidy. All staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. All facilities were to a very high standard. The evening meal we had was amazing with a unique presentation, the Chicken Kebabs arrived still on the skewers and hanging from a frame, a bit of theatre. Breakfast was a buffet, well layed out with a wide selection to choose from and very tasty.

This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Edinburgh. The tram station is right outside and only 20 mins ins. We drove and parking was straight forward albeit chargeable at £8 per day. The pool was a real added bonus for our kids after a long day of tourism. Only slight issue for me is our kids are getting older and Novotels concept of a "family" room is starting to look less desirable than the Premier Inns as the sofa bed is tight. There is enough room for these to be slightly larger if they wanted and will probably steer us towards other hotels in the future. If this isn't an issue for you though, don't be out off it's a great hotel.

The hotel is right next to the tramway, so the noise is very disturbing. The beds were uncomfortable.

The TV was not that perfect in changing the channels and the channels category

Hotel restaurant and common areas may be 4-star, but our accessible room /w queen bed was 2-star, quite small, missing basic amenities like USB charge ports, power plugs by bedside (expected in a 4 star hotel), and was overpriced. We paid $400.CAD / night, including breakfast for two. It's just overpriced for what you get. Being close to the airport ($15 GBP tram tickets for two from a nearby tram station to the airport) is no trade-off to warrant increased room rates, especially not for these small rooms with lacking amenities. Front desk advised us the majority of the rooms are same size with double or queen beds - no kings) and that there are only a very few larger rooms at higher rates than what we paid, but still with queen size beds. So we cannot recommend this hotel; we would recommend you find another hotel closer to city center, perhaps one with a warmer atmosphere, take same tram or taxi to airport, and pay considerably less.

Room overlooking the rail line and trams. Was noisy but perfect for our 2 year old grandson who loved it!

There is plenty of on-site parking available for those who arrive with a car. The restaurant and bar are very nice along with the staff who are super friendly and attentive. The hotel is outside the main city center, so we had to take the tram in every day, however it was easy and convenient. Near the hotel there are some fast food restaurants and a shopping complex. The hotel employees and staff were very accommodating and friendly. It is a very clean and tidy place to stay. Would recommend staying here although it is a little outside the city center.

Brilliant stay at the Novotel Hotel . Check in was easy staff polite and very helpful even kept our cases so we could go back to Edinburgh when we checked out. Near to the tram/trains to get into Edinburgh cost 5 pd for a day ticket on the trams .Hotel was near to shops for anything we needed . Room and bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was great really filling cooked breakfast would recommend. we were really impressed and I will be staying in a Novotel again. Thankyou .for my birthday bottle of prosecco and card and shortbread lovely .

The staff were just amazing. We arrived early and were able to store our luggage at reception while we went into the city center. Check in was smooth and the person on duty even adjusted things so that our 2 rooms were together. The bar was quiet and a lovely place for an afternoon drink. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The leisure center was clean and a very comfortable temperature for exercise. I really can't emphasize enough how wonderful the staff was. They were so helpful and really made the stay easy.

Great stay. Two minutes walk to the tram stop into Edinburgh. The guy on the desk at our arrival was so nice and welcoming. Can’t remember his name but was Romanian.

This is the fourth and unfortunately the final time we'll stay here. The past few years this hotel has been outstanding but now it looks as though a policy change with staff has made this one to avoid. I had the worst dinner service I've ever encountered here, we sat for 35mins before someone even asked us for a drinks order, that was done at same time as our food order. The food turned up, starter's and main courses at same time. I had ordered a tasteless mushroom tagliatelle with chicken, i got 2 fork fulls before giving up. Our drinks didn't arrive until everyone had finished eating and when the waitress came to clear the table and I told her my tagliatelle was way below par she said "great, I'll be back in a minute". She didn't return. The next day i tried to speak to someone at reception and was asked to wait while the receptionist looked through a drawer of leaflets, which seemed to amuse her greatly, i gave up after waiting 8 minutes. That night we were all woken by loud, drunken guests at 1.30am who were having quite the party at the front door, right next to reception, this was allowed to carry on until 2.15am. Absolutely shocking for the cost of this hotel delivering such poor quality. The pool and lesuire facility upgrade this year in the hotel is one plus point, really nice throughout. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel can not hold up to the same standard. There is so much choice in Edinburgh, especially in this price bracket, my advice is go elsewhere.

Excellent location as not in the centre of Edinburgh, hence not attracting high city stay prices. But 2 minutes walk to the tram stop that takes you to Prince street! Very clean, modern hotel, very accommodating staff who helped when required anything sorting. Also near major shopping outlets e.g. TK Max, Tesco etc...

The room was perfect. They had a sofa bed which was really nice to have. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only downside will be having the same breakfast menu all the time but no complains about the quality though. 5min walk to the train, tram and bus stop. 15min ride to airport and city centre..

A great place to stay when traveling in the Edinburgh area with a car. My goal was to avoid having to take our rental into the city centre and so finding this gem within a few minute walk to the Edinburgh Tram and maybe a ten minute tram ride to Princes St, was perfect. Bonus that it's also only 10 mins from the airport. Hotel was clean, modern, and staff was excellent.

The location is convenient. The tram/train stop is only a 3-minute walk, and about 15-minute ride to the old town. We were also very impressed by the buffet breakfast. The staff from the reception, the restaurant to the housekeeping, were all very polite and helpful. The only issue is that our room is close to the train line. It's a bit noisy if you open the window.

Location close to Edinburgh airport and quick raxi service.

Really fab location, easy to get to and from Edinburgh centre. The staff kindly put up birthday banners and balloons in our room for my partners birthday- we were both chuffed! Only negative would be the breakfast, didn’t feel it was worth £20. When we came to breakfast there was unfortunately limited options left as there had been a karate tournament and that was disappointing as £20 we didn’t feel was worth the food. Overall would come back again!

This is a good place to stay, beds comfortable, helpful staff and easy access to the city and aiport. BUT do not bother with the breakfast buffet. I booked my room excluding breakfast but wanted to treat myself one day. Some treat! Most items from the hot buffet were dry and/or hard (how can you dry out a susage like that?) and the chilled buffet wasn't any better: 'sweaty' cheese but at the same time turning up the edges. And all for just under £20...

Great property with good connectivity with tram and train station. There are supermarts and 24*7 eating options in walking distance from the hotel which is a great plus. Hotel facilities are good, breakfast options are good too, only feedback is to change the breakfast menu as per days ot the week.
