Great location close to Old Town. Easy access from train and bus. Room was small but clean with a great shower. Like everywhere in Edinburgh, there are stairs to contend with. Restaurant was pleasant and food was good. Would stay again.

OK, this is an old hotel with uneven floors and showing some wear -- BUT, the staff is super-helpful, the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and walkable to every single place you'd want to go in Edinburgh. I highly recommend (unless you plan to spend quite some time in your hotel).

The hotel’s location is excellent and made it very easy to explore the city. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. The room was clean throughout our stay, and the bed was very comfortable, allowing us to sleep well. On the downside, the elevator was out of service for two of the three nights we stayed, which was quite inconvenient. The room was also very warm and felt stuffy, as the ventilation was not sufficient. Improving the airflow and ventilation would make the stay much more comfortable. Overall, we had a pleasant stay thanks to the great location, helpful staff, and clean, comfortable room.

Very friendly and helpful staff, we had a wheelchair that needed to be transported up and down the stairs every day and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. There was also an issue with the shower in our room so we were offered a room change without having to ask. Would not hesitate to stay here again
