Well located, friendly staff, decent-sized room. I'm giving it points off because the hot tub and indoor pool are NOT in the hotel. You have to go to the spa next door (granted, you can connect through the lobby) and pay a daily fee. This was one of the primary reasons for my booking, hence my rating. The description should be corrected to reflect the actual setup.

Some areas are very good in this hotel, whilst some areas are not great: Very good areas: Beds are v comfortable breakfast is great - many options with good quality buffet Lunch is also great with well cooked meals swimming pool area is big Location is very good Needs improving: Charging £15 for adults and £7.50 for kids to use swimming pool. Jacuzzi needs fixing, v low bubbles, like sitting in a warm bath, sauna and steam room inside changing room which is strange, kids changing rooms are separate which is strange and no signage. I called for a bottle of water to be delivered - nobody turned up. No plug sockets beside beds to charge phone. No slippers are provided for pool area and access to pool is through hotel lobby - I felt people staring as we walked through in our white dressing gowns and I felt embarrassed. My husband and I planned a night away for his special birthday. We stayed in an executive room with a nice king size bed. It was very quiet, despite it being in central london. The Pool area was very disappointing and the website didn’t clearly state that guests had to pay for use of it. Saunas were situated in each of the women’s and man’s changing rooms which also wasn’t made clear and we were unable to enjoy a sauna together. The breakfast was ok. Overall it was disappointing for us, considering it seems to get high ratings.

This was a wonderful hotel and location, and staff were friendly. Enjoyed the full English bkfst buffet daily and the lounge/bar area in the evenings. Very accessible to museums and underground. We did not realize the pool was part of spa connected to hotel and was an additional fee or that there were swimming lessons taking place in the middle of it. Luckily this was not a big focus of our trip.

the breakfast buffet was very good, very complete. the gym & pool access were in a separate business attached to the hotel & there was a daily charge for any use of either pool or gym. the pool was too warm for swimming laps - their data online & on expedia should be much clearer about the daily charge & separate business arrangement. because of the daily charge & the already significant daily cost of the hotel room I only used the pool once.

This hotel is beautiful, the room was spacious (we had a family suite room), the breakfast was great and the staff were helpful. The hotel is right across the street from the V&A and Natural History Museums and short walk to Harrods or a tube station, dinning and shops. Access to the pool depends on the schedule of the health club next door (swimming lessons etc)- looks like drop-in swim time is mostly on the weekends in the morning. The hop on/off bus stop was two steps away from the entrance. I would return to this hotel!

While the property was beautiful, the pool was am extra charge per person per day and was open for very few hours of the day, all of which were not advertised. In addition, the AC ran for 48hrs straight and was unable to lower the temperature of the room by even 1 degrees. Not only is that not comfortable but it's bad for the environment the hotel pretends to care about. Lastly, while I had two guests staying and was advised for my silver status Expedia account I would get two free drink tickets they would only give me one.

I deliberately booked this hotel for the pool. However, it was a further £15 charge a day, we would have paid this, however, could not use pool between 3pm and 6pm, just when we enjoy a dip at the end of our day and prior to dinner. No notification of this until we arrived, very disappointing as an important part of our break away.

Cockroaches. Perhaps it was the heatwave at that time and the location of my room (6 floor) but after several encounters, one IN MY BED, I was moved to another room. It was an upgrade and I was not charged but no suggestion of any other compensation for the disruption and upset. The staff were all very kind and professional. This did not change the fact that the room was not clean when I arrived (crackers under the bed) and there were other issues with the thoroughness of the cleaning. In the breakfast room too. The buffet was included in the price and while this offered many options it was not of the best quality, certainly not European standards. I will not stay at The Rembrandt again or recommend it.

Overall, our stay was excellent - and in fact better than anticipated in all areas - facilities, location, service, breakfast & comfort. We had a room with a sofa bed so that we could use it as a sofa - however, when we moved it there was quite a lot of dust/litter underneath - understandable as it was pretty heavy to move & therefore clean around - but not pleasant to discover

Location for hotel with underground a short walk away & bus stops just outside was a bonus to get around (C1 to & from Victoria train station) was perfect for what we had planned. Would recommend & will stay here again.

Check in was easy. The room very warm. The air conditioner very inefficient. Even after keeping curtains drawn, bathroom blinds pulled down and door closed, it only got comfortable in the early am hours. For the star rating of the hotel, providing one bottle of water only on day 1 of the stay, in June ? They gave us complimentary 1 drink for 1 out of the 2 people occupying the room once. We did not use it. When asked if their restaurant had food after 10 pm on that Friday, they asked us to go in and find out. A really disappointing stay. Very good location.

Made the mistake of accepting a main road facing room. Traffic noise was very obtrusive. The room did have secondary glazing but it was unable to stifle the noise. Very poor sleep as a consequence.

The hotel is lovely but we told that we were being upgraded ehich turned out to be a massive disappointment. The room that we had was next to the luggage lift, which was really noisy and you could hear water through pipework in the walls (presumably from the above floors).

Amazing staff, from reception to room keeping, to waiters in the restaurant, everyone is so very friendly and welcoming. The room is clean and a reasonable size for central London. The location is brilliant with both South Kensington's museums and Knightsbridge's shops just a fee minutes walk. Overall, very good hotel and amazing staff. Would be coming back. Tip: spa is adjacent to the hotel and chargeable, but the price is more than reasonable for hotel guests.

The staff was outstanding! Friendly and helpful, I've never felt so cared for at a hotel. The front desk reception, the concierge, the dining room staff, housekeeping, all went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We will definitely return.

We love The Rembrandt and stay here every time we’re in London. First, the location is perfect in prestigious South Kensington. Near V&A Museum, Natural History Museum, Kensington Gardens, walking distance to two tube stations, plenty of restaurants, pubs, grocers and liquor stores, and walking distance to Harrod’s. The rooms are clean and decorated beautifully. Nespresso machines and fridge in each room, plus coffee, tea, and biscuits. The breakfast buffet is included with your room, the restaurant and bar are decent if you want to have a meal or cocktail in versus going out. I also recommend the Afternoon Tea. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They greet you anytime you arrive in the lobby, whether it’s coming down from the elevator for breakfast or at the end of the day after site seeing. My British husband and I are in London to visit his family almost every year, and when we do we will always stay at The Rembrandt.

Hotel is located very close to a subway station which is an intersection of various lines, which makes moving around London very easy. Rooms are clean and serviced well. I didn’t like two things about this hotel. 1) the gym and pool requires a daily fee of 15 pounds. It may not be too much but it is a petty fee for people who just want to have a 30min session in the gym in the mornings and not use it for the entire day. 2) breakfast was quite weak for a hotel of this standard.

Great hotel in a fantastic location, lots of things to do and places to eat. Hotel is very clean, all the staff are friendly and professional. Breakfast was all fresh, continental and cooked, plus pancakes and waffles. Plenty of choices

The location is excellent - near the V&A and the Albert Hall and many other attractions. It is also easy to get to. I would have appreciated free range eggs at the breakfast bar, by the way. Otherwise the food was excellent. Thankyou.

I love staying at the Rembrandt. It is so convenient for the underground and it is right opposite my favourite museum the V&A. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room I had this time was perfect for me. The breakfast caters well for vegan and gluten free. It has its own gluten free stand with its own toastier amd there are a good range of non dairy milks.

Excellent hotel in a wonderful location for museum lovers. Rooms are clean and well appointed (very good water pressure in the shower, comfortable beds, thick fluffy towels) with everything we needed for our week long stay. Breakfast buffet is excellent and lavishly appointed with hot and cold foods. We loved it!

Location was ok, room a little dated, not well cleaned (dusty, marks under glass table covers) breakfast buffet had plenty but all of reasonably poor quality (I ate breakfast elsewhere on the second morning). Pool and other facilities chargeable which isn't obvious.

Service from concierge and reception good on the whole although concierge on arrival made no effort to hide his impatience with my parents slowness to respond to his questions. Corridor and room both highly claustrophobic and overheated. The furnishings and fixtures were well maintained and updated throughout, however the hotel smelled strongly of sewage in lower ground level. Breakfast is cheap, poor quality, and no effort is made to hide the cost cutting. We expect coffee to be offered and served at the table for a hotel of this claimed calibre. The Dowe Egbert machine coffee from concentrate is cheap and foul. Actual coffee should be served as standard at breakfast, this was hideous. Eggs need to be free range and offered in more ways other than fried. The breakfast provision was none other than underwhelming and first level basic. There was no wow of fresh fruit, smell of baked breads, anything cooked to order, french pastries that looked appealing, kefir, yoghurts, honeycomb. Literally lucky to find a slice of crunchy melon and a sliver of grapefruit. Highlighted by Kensington’s great cafes that surround this hotel, the shortcomings were stark. Plastic wrapped cheap biscuits need to be removed from the tea tray, again better to serve nothing than contribute negatively to the environment with this! Overall, the hotel’s provisioning left a bad taste in more ways than one. £1.20 breakfast cost per person on a £280 room tariff is daylight robbery.

Hotel overall very nice , amenities average, hardly any choice of tea etc . Staff very friendly . Breakfast unfortunately after booking we found out we had to leave very early when flight changed so would miss already paid for breakfast and was disappointed as it was a five star hotel all we could have before we left was one piece of fruit which had to be an apple and small tub of strawberry yoghurt when we were missing an apparently five star cooked hot breakfast and smoked salmon etc. But hotel looked lovely and very convenient .
