We’ve stayed in a few Holiday Inns but this has to be the worst experience we’ve had. The room was a reasonable size for a HI but the bed was the smallest we’ve ever had on our UK trip! The bed was comfy but small and the pillows were very flat. We had a sofa bed as well but a bigger bed would have been better. The bathroom and shower were a good size though and the water was good. Breakfast was a disaster! We arrived before 9 thinking we’d avoid the early rush only to find very little on offer! When we asked if things would be replenished we were greeted with a non committal reply and no more food arrived!! There was no milk with the tea & coffee station so I had to carry my hot tea to the other side of the room and dodge the kids running around! There were many families there filling up on anything that was left and taking it away for their days food! Good thing we had a pre arranged lunch!! Parking available on site and reasonable at £15. Hopefully my next HI stay is better!!

Very bad experience overall. My car was stolen from the car park and the staff was saying this is always happening. I asked for cctv footage and they said they can't show me . I don't know what to say, either they know what happened or they don't care about customers service.

Very good stay, excellent location for the O2 and very close to Canning Town tube station. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Lovely, clean but basic hotel with good links to central or Easy London. Breakfast a bit basic but generally good choice of cooked English and continental options. Secure on site parking for £20 per night. Little Sainsburys Local opposite which was handy too. Overall a good little stay and would book again if visiting the O2 or vicinity

Great location for the 02 5 minutes to the station, onsite parking the staff were very friendly our room was basic but clean and comfortable. Lots of choices for breakfast. Would recommended

We stayed here for one night so that we could visit the Olympic Stadium at Stratford, to watch the MLB London Series. The staff were all friendly and helpful, car parking was available at the rear of the hotel priced at £15 per 24 hours. A 5 minute walk gets you to the Canning Town Tube station, so it is convenient.for travel around London. Breakfast was buffet style, and had a wide range of food that should suit all tastes. The Full English was good. The rooms were spacious and clean, so it was an ideal hotel for an overnight stay for us. I would use it again.

I was put into room 315 twin room for me and my daughter and I was disappointed at the condition of the carpet stained on the entrance to the room and the back of the bathroom door wood panel chipped at the bottom. Also the painted surface near the toilet area was black from mould. I would not say this was a 3 star hotel more like a 2 star for the condition of the room I was put into and not liking the view at the back of the room looking at a derelict building not a pretty view. To finish on a positive note though the staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast choice especially gluten free was good. Location of hotel excellent for tube station

Stayed here for an event at the O2 but now realise there were better hotels much closer. This hotel was ok but the bed was a standard double 4’6” so smaller than a lot of beds in hotels now days but the worst thing of all was the terrible smell of sewage in the bathroom. Think they have a major problem with their plumbing.

I liked that the hotel was near the Underground. The homeless encampment under the A13 highway was concerning. The staff was generally nice but one time, I asked the person at the desk for a “Do not disturb” sign and she was quite snippy. Another time, one of the dining room staff seemed terrified of my husband, though he was nothing but respectful and polite. The room was generally clean, but there was some mold around the caulk in the shower, and the shower itself was difficult to aim because it wouldn’t hold its position. Another issue was the stain on the wall. God only knows what it was.

We had a family room - double and double-ish sofa bed. This made the room very cramped but the price was really reasonable so no complaints. Breakfast included too. Was most impressed by the level of cleanliness. All spotless.

Pull out bed left no room to walk past, breakfast was very poor, coffee machines kept breaking and when they did work it was poor coffee. Staff stood around taking selfies, and pics of each other. Stayed in many Holiday Inn Express many times in many places and have always been very satisfied, but I definitely would not stay in this one again. Blood on the bedding, mould and hair in the bathroom and a dirty used cotton bud left on top of the toilet.

The room wasn't sound proofed as advertised. The cleaners cupboard was next to our room and it was constantly banging closed while we were trying to have a nap before our night out. And we could hear the people in the room above. There is not enough storage space, a few coat hooks wild help. The sofa had stains on it. Need more

Convenient for the tube. Uncomfortable sofa bed and very cold room, no sleep. Smell of smoke and then cannabis smell from the car park after having the window open to air the room. Sofa bed really needs replacing, impossible to sleep on it unfortunately. Very disappointed with the very basic facilities and lack of comfort.

Couldnt check in early, had requested this and called the day before stay & the morning of the stay. Family room, unable to pass the end of the fold out bed once it was out, it was terribly uncomfortable, main bed was good. Room didnt smell too nice id suggest the aircon unit long overdue service/cleaning filters etc. Bathroom smelt damp and musty Resulting inthe window being left open alll night and contending with the street noise instead. Breakfast surpassed expectations and was ok.

Convenient location but a hotel showing signs of wear & tear. Room needs new carpet & painting. Shower particularly - door damaged & paintwork patchy. Couldn't close the window. Work on street outside seems to have been going on forever - might look good when finished but currently depressing. Comfortable bed - I did sleep well but this isn't a cheap stay & a refurb needed.

The staff were great and the location isn't bad but, as a family, the sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the room is really little - plus our bathroom was in a bit of a poor state and the shower tray was cracked and very poorly patched up. The complementary luggage storage was a bit of a godsend however!

It was a good location for for the excel centre. The only thing thar lwt it down was that the sound proofing was not great. Could hear the road noise and people walk in the corridors. Apart from that everything else was good.

Room was ridiculously hot when we arrived, we attempted to turn the aircon on which smelt so badly of mould we had to turn it off. As we needed to get the kids to bed we didn’t have time to speak to reception. The next day we switched the heating off and left the window open all day it was still too hot. What a waste of energy heating the hotel to that level! Also bed and pillows are not the most comfortable.

We received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. The staff were helpful. The room was clean and we felt that, with breakfast included in the price, the cost was very reasonable. We were able to purchase 24 hours parking in the hotel car park, which was really helpful. The hotel was ideally situated for our visit to the O2. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

When we arrived at 4 pm a massive queue was waiting to book in. The hotel was short of housekeeping staff and hardly any rooms were ready despite checking in already being open for an hour. No email warning people of this was sent. The room was ok but it was very tired. Rusty sink, dirty shower. The breakfast was poor. Such a small dining area for so many people. Half the food had run out an hour before breakfast ended and the staff were slow to replenish it. I even managed to gain a long black hair in my coffee despite me checking the cup first. Seemed to have come out of the coffee machine with the drink.

We stayed here after a concert at the O2 arena and it was perfect. Such a convenient location being so close to a tube station, McDonalds, Sainsbury’s local etc. Check in was super easy and our family room (1 double a sofa bed) was PERFECT for the three of us. Beds were comfy and room was clean and surprisingly quiet facing the road. Excellent for a night or two, would definitely stay again.
