While the building itself is older, they have made many improvement updates. Rooms are nice. Location is great. Nice sized pool, ocean front restaurant, and coffee shop. Complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas at oceanfront.

beachcomber resort was amazzzzing!! the hotel restaurant was so consistently good- i have a celiac(gluten allergy) and they were always so accommodating. the resort was beautiful and on a private beach. rooms were beautiful and clean. the only thing was i did think the balconies were private, they are not, which isn’t a huge deal but it would’ve been nice to have. and then on the hotel description it does say gym access, as a huge gym goer it was a big disappointment there wasn’t a gym on property, and they cancelled the contract they had w a gym nearby. other than that great experience, i highly highly recommend

We enjoyed our stay here. Easy access to the beach and we loved that they had 2 pools but the pools do close at 8pm. The room was nice but unfortunately we kept getting “room calls” from the front desk letting us know the people under us were complaining that we were walking too hard…this is annoying because we definitely were not. Overall our stay here at Beachcomber was good, and very relaxing.

Junior Suite was beautiful and the balcony was great. Enjoyed our stay and would book again. It’s quiet and right on the beach. 2 nice pools. Lots of shopping and restaurants around the area.

The property felt old and the rooms a little outdated. Disappointed that there was no exercise room or gym available. The bar staff was great. Good breakfast options. The housekeeping stafff was very loud in the hallways talking and laughing before 8am. It all echoes on the tile floors!

We loved our oceanfront room with a beautiful view. The bar restaurant had a great vibe, excellent food, and cocktails. We enjoyed our stay, very relaxing and not crowded. The pools were clean and had a lovely poolside service as well. Loved the entertainment, different vibe everyday of our stay. The resort felt like being on a tropical island. We will be returning...

Well we arrived on Sunday. I've never had a problem going through Expedia but they didn't want to accommodate us with a new room when I complained. We had a hand towel and wash cloth when we arrived. Floor was unswept and floors dirty. I tried to make coffee with machine in the room but it was sticky and gross. I took a picture of our socks after we the the first few hours in the room they were so dirty. But they couldn't move us to a new room because we were a 3 party and it would be an upcharge

I recently stayed at The Beachcomber in Pompano Beach for 3-nights and had a mixed experience. The exterior of the hotel and the surrounding area were lovely, beautiful lobby, coffee area and a relaxing beachfront vibe. However, my stay was overshadowed by some serious issues. The room itself was disappointing. It felt unclean from the moment I walked in, with noticeable dirt in the corners and a musty smell that lingered. Despite the charm of the outdoor spaces, the condition of the room left much to be desired. Day two, no cleaning service even arrived. Unfortunately, it got worse after I returned home. I realized I had multiple bug bites, which makes me concerned about the hygiene and possible pest issues in the room. While the location and exterior ambiance were great, the state of the rooms and the aftermath of my stay make it hard for me to recommend this hotel.

The bathroom should have been renovated a long time ago. The sink cabinet is moldy, the toilet doesn't work well, you take a shower but the water doesn't flow out, it just stands in the bathtub, there's no place to hang a towel that should dry but is constantly damp. The room is gorgeous, spacious, and there's enough space for clothes. There's a TV set, but I had to ask the reception for a list of programs I can watch.

The property is older and has a bit of a musty smell. That being said the staff was friendly, the pool areas are nice and the beach access is great. The beach loungers could use updating along with the VIP areas. The valet parking was the best. If you're looking for an economical option. The Beachcomber should suffice.

Beautiful hotel , we had pool view with partial ocean view and a big balcony . The room was spacious with all amenities. My only complain would be bathroom did not have any hanging space , there was lots just outside but some inside bathroom would be great . The restaurant had good food options and had a beautiful view, food was great .. Loved everything about it . Since beach is more private access it was calm and not crowded.

I liked the location, but there were a number of issues. The toilet overflowed twice. The balconies are all open so offer no privacy. They do have a happy hour, which included great specials. The bathroom was dated, the vent filthy. The bed comfortable the tv channels limited. If you are looking for a romantic place, which I was, this is not it. The bar, during the week is shut at 10. No cozy areas by the pool or on the grounds. If you are a family and don't care about that then, great, but it is pricey. There are a ton of extras, so not only the room but parking, resort fees etc. I think we could have done better.

The photos of this hotel do not do it justice. We were in room 403, with a king and partial ocean view. There was a huge ocean view and a very large balcony that got full sun during the day and two lounge chairs to lay in. There was a a mini fridge, safe, VERY large Closet with a dresser inside. very modern decor with natural drift wood art and lamps, the room was 15 x 18 approximately so very large and spacious. The outdoor bar, and restaurant was the jem. You could sit on a table right on the sand, or in the thatched palm roof seating area, or sit by the long lounge chairs with a long flame. The musicians each night were very enjoyable playing music. The rooms had the large jars built in with lotion, hand soap, nice shampoo, conditioner, body gel, blow dryer, iron and ironing board. The Pampano Pier was in walking distance and had many restaurants with lots of locals.. great food too! The private beach was nice... chairs and umbrellas were included. The staff at the hotel were all really friendly. The valet was convenient, you texted ahead and it was ready. It exceeded our expectations!

The partial ocean view room was totally worth it. Big private balcony and plenty of ocean to see and hear. The restaurant onsite was great and room service was a nice bonus after a long day. Bed was super comfortable and towels were fluffy. Self-parking was across the street from hotel, but loved everything else!

This hotel is a 2 - 3 star on a good day. I think there are nicer villas on property from what other guests were saying. The hotel section is old and poorly renovated. I did like the choice of decor and common areas are nicely and correctly renovated. Booked a partial view of ocean and could barely see any of it, was a joke. Balcony’s are small and barely separated from neighbors. This place should not be called a resort - one understaffed restaurant, no gym. Employees seem nice but management seems poorly trained and unprofessional. You can rent a microwave if you need it, there’s a tiny refrigerator in room. Not one full length mirror you can see yourself in in the hotel room. Not one towel hook in the bathroom. $40 a day resort fee yet internet didn’t work, you couldn’t get a beach towel for anything, and 6 days and not one waitress on the beach asked if we needed anything. We had fun no matter what but

I loved the pool area. What I didn’t like is that that you could hear everything thru the rooms. One night we heard security come up to one of the rooms to ask them to quiet down as they were super loud at like 2am. You could hear everything they were talking about. There was another night we were up all night for another reason. So if you are going with kids I would not recommend it.
I loved the pool area. What I didn’t like is that that you could hear everything thru the rooms. One night we heard security come up to one of the rooms to ask them to quiet down as they were super loud at like 2am. You could hear everything they were talking about. There was another night we were up all night for another reason. So if you are going with kids I would not recommend it.

He was a horrible representative of your facility, and calling a guest a "liar" is not ever good policy.

I feel like the reviews I saw when purchasing are not accurate. As someone who works in hospitality I want to be completely honest. The rooms are average like a holiday inn. The patio view was great. The property outside is beautiful. There was a lot of families traveling with small children so if your looking for a getaway from kids like we were, this is not the place. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything from the pool area and the cleaning people during the day. Our room was located at the end of the hallway but I could hear the elevator from the other end at night . As a chef , the food is horrible it’s not even mediocre . The only thing good was the raw oysters. The drinks are high cost but terrible. The male bartender during the day is so rude , he made several comments on how he was quitting and made the drinks horrible . The staff up front is really not friendly , they don’t say hello when you walk in and if your like me with Expedia benifits they don’t acknowledge them. The atmosphere outside is 10/10 but everything else I believe you can get better at a holiday inn

I had visited the Beachcomber on a previous trip and ended up renting one of the cabanas and stayed the day- which was wonderful! Claudia and Mike made that experience so great that on this recent trip, I booked the Beachcomber because I knew it would be a high-quality and enjoyable experience from food to service...and it was! Our server Matt and host, Brian, were also terrific. There are plenty of places to stay on the beach in Pompano, however, the friendliness and great service from your staff is what will keep me coming back. Well done!

Beware. Manager let herself in thinking we weren’t there!!! It’s a family owned resort so there’s no corporate office, no name tags, no accountability. Be very careful. We just got back after visiting from New York. I was at the pool and my husband was in the shower with a do not disturb sign on the door. My husband thought he heard something so he walked out naked from the shower and saw the manager Carol (or so they say as there are no name tags) in the room with the door open. she let herself into the room after she knocked and no one responded. My husband was completely naked yet, she continued to ask for a different card as the one on file was declined. (We’re traveling and it was flagged for fraud). She didn’t even try to call or email or call room or wait to try again after I got a notification only 5 minutes before ! Again I was in the pool. With 2 kids. When I asked why she didn’t just call me she said she didn’t check to see if there was a phone number on file. Didn’t take responsibility and was super nasty insisting that was policy. I have NEVER in my life heard of a hotel policy where management can let themselves into the room requesting a different card. The front desk was completely unhelpful about everything, starting with check in. This was our second year staying here, and this year was a complete departure from year one. As I said the front desk made us wait until 4.00 to check in even though I called the night before and requested then and throughout the day of. Even if they couldn’t have the room made up for an early check in they were hostile about our wanting that —saying we’d be getting a free room. We offered to pay and still nothing. Every time we approached the front desk dori g our four night stay we were met with frowning “help”. Isn’t hospitality 101 to at the very least offer a smile to the paying guests? It was so so unwelcoming. The room was clean but needed new paint and the bathroom was tiny. It was done tbh out of a tenement house. The towels—tiny, old, and far too few. We paid almost $500 a night. For Pompano that’s high, and yet it felt in some ways like a dingy motel (which are plentiful in Pompano). The beach help—friendly and so nice. They made the stay. Still, the dinginess of the old paint, the weird moldy smell throughout the hotel, ridiculously small bathroom and 75$ motel towels on top of the u friendly and unhelpful front desk make this place one we will never return to. It could be so much better!!!

What a great place to stay. Nestled between Fort Lauderdale and Boca, it’s the perfect half way point. The resort staff was incredibly kind and hospitable. The beach seating was perfect and loved the coffee shop in the morning. Food overall from the restaurant was slightly overcooked consistently, but still tasty. My one recommendation if you stay here is to request a room away from the elevator. It’s gets super noisy with the traffic in and out, especially during the late hours.

Very nice place. It was pretty, updated, modern, very beachy. All of the employees were super nice. The pool waitress was fabulous. I loved that you didn’t have to leave for food if you didn’t want. We ate many meals at the restaurant on site. The beach was nice, even the lounge chairs were in great shape. The only complaint I have it that it was very quiet. There was a musician but you could barely hear him at the pool, and they played music but so low it was barely legible. Our room was so pretty and the bed was even comfy. Great place. I’d stay again.

I have never been so impressed by the staff at any hotel or resort as I was here. Everyone was so friendly! I only wish that there were more dining options, as the only option for dinner was the outside area/beach bar. However, the food was incredible, so I really can’t complain. Great hotel!

Our stay at the Beachcomber resort was excellent . Our room was perfect and we had a wonderful view of the beach from the balcony. We spent much of our time at the beach and pool; both were really nice, well kept and relaxing. We ate several meals at the Deep restaurant on property and loved everything. Shout out to Matt at the Deep and pool service. He has such a fun personality! We had not visited Pompano beach before and fell in love with the area. We definitely will be back

The only negative for us was lack of choices to eat on the property. A coffee shop that closed at 2:00 is odd and inconvenient. The one place to eat is less than ideal for a crowded resort. Overall this is a lovely place on the ocean. We would definitely stay here again and go out to eat more often.

This is our time here! Enjoyed our stay at the Beachcomber, again!! Love the experience you feel while staying here. It is old world feel with the balconies and the amenities and rooms were modern!
