They are doing a huge renovation. No lobby to speak of and no pool and no indoor bar either. They said they had a bar but a very kind bartender was unable to find any tonic to make a drink. My fault for not looking further into property info when I booked it. Staff was very nice and were doing their best under the circumstances.

Will be a great property when complete. Pool should be available by May. Was supposed to be complete for our stay. Marriot did make arrangements for pool use next door to the resort. Valet parking was quick and easy. Pretty long walks to restaurants.

Booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool, bar and restaurant. When we arrived the pool was closed due to construction. No where on this site or their website could I find where they have that the pool is closed - traveled 5 hours for my birthday weekend with friends and no pool. I am very disappointed that there was no notification that that was the case.

Charged $35/day activity fee for a pool and hot tub that weren’t even there, we didn’t even sit on chairs on the one decent beach day! Then $35 each time we needed our car-there’s only valet folks! Didn’t eat there because the hostess never came around to even seat us. Also the spa was closed for the entire stay of four days. Don’t waste your time and money here!

Right on the beach! Front Desk Staff was very accommodating and friendly every shift. Pool under renovation but the beach was right there w/ lounge chairs and towels provided. Unfortunately we couldn’t try paddle board/kayak/surfing due to water conditions. So we accepted the bougie board and float raft. Hotel also provided bikes which was nice to see some of the town. Rode down to the “family pier”/boardwalk area. Gym is amazing with a beach view. Refrigerator in room, but you have to go to the lobby to use a microwave. Last, all of the ice machine seem not to work Overall, the good things definitely outweigh the opportunities. It was really nice. We would stay again and recommend

The staff of the hotel were beyond pleasant. Every single person I encountered went out of their way to be helpful. We love the location in relation to the beach. The room was comfortable and had a great view - just outdated. You could see wear and tear if you don’t look too hard but I tried not to. I wish the suite had a freezer. I rated low on cleanliness because the pools were kind of dirty. We used the less busy pool and the same dirt (wrappers and clumps of hair) was still in it from Saturday at 3 to Sunday at 11am. Gross. But before I noticed it I was very happy! Oh! And traveling with a toddler here was very easy. They brought in a crib (not a pack n play), and everyone was so nice to her. Plus - at lunch time the guy at the pool gave out ice pops to any kids and adults who wanted. Such a nice touch. Would stay here again.

let me start by saying the staff was over-the-top friendly and responsive. Yet, pool and hot tub under construction, jackhammers started at 8 AM and were mind blowingly loud in the restaurant at 330 PM - took a long time to shake the headache. No caffeinated coffee and tv settings required tech help twice (either need directions or to upgrade - really? tv should not be complicated). Pillow case was stained and sink didn't drain. No beach towels and path to beach routed around construction. I have high standards for Marriott and this was not a quality experience. Dropping the spa fee was nice but there wasn't a pool, towels or really a spa anyway.

The information is not clear. I had paid for an ocean view room and I received a partial ocean view. When I asked the front desk, Michael told me they don’t have direct ocean view rooms. As you go outside noticed rooms with an ocean view. Called again and Michael told me they don’t have direct ocean view instead they have ocean front. What the hell? No assistance from the staff only ready to charge. Hotel is under construction, only one restaurant open. gym options is a mile away. For the price I was very disappointed

The a/c would not turn up or down & was stuck at 63 degrees so we froze all night. The breakfast was $111 which wasn't disclosed prior to booking & no way would i pay that for a breakfast. The parking is ridiculous forcing us to use vallet when we were only there for 9 hrs just to sleep & have to wait for them to retrieve our vehicle after we called for it 10 minutes prior

Where do I start about this property?! For starters we were not notified that the hotel pool was closed and under construction until after our booking (apparently the hotels main website had it posted but outlets such as expedia were not informed) Also the TV in the room was hit or miss with it's poor wifi connection and cheap limited basic programming and was a struggle to watch anything in the evenings when we were up from the beach. The thermostat did not work for an entire Saturday (10/19) during our stay leaving us with no AC until maintenance was called. On sunday (10/20) house keeping completely skipped our room for cleaning. We came up from the beach at 4:30pm to a dirty room. We had to call the front desk for towels just to shower. Also, this hotel advertises that it is kid friendly, however, it is anything but. There was nothing to do for kids here, and when we requested a complimentary crib for our daughter, the bedding in the crib was also never changed during our entire stay. Also on the topic of being kid friendly, we had to deal with the smell of marijuana smoke coming through the vents and under the doors which could be used for conjoined rooms. And lastly the beach staff that put up your chairs was quite frankly, lazy. They rarely had towels on-site for use and almost seemed inconvenienced when we more chairs or a cabana. Beach bar was closed all but one day of our stay and is advertised as open daily. Food is over priced and staff was unfriendly minus a few

Rooms need to be updated. Beds are terrible and the carpet is definitely dated. I booked an ocean view room but my room was on the side of the building so it was more of a partial view room. Very misleading when choosing a room during booking. Staff was friendly, restaurant didn’t have many options but the food was very good.

I was unaware that the pool area was being renovated. I unknowingly upgraded my room to an ocean front room that was very hot during the day. There were two excavators that were cleaning up the pool area during the day that made it very loud to sit outside. Pulling into the property was difficult because of the size of the entrance and it was coned off. I had a suburban and gave me anxiety every time that I had to valet. Overall, this was a terrible stay.

The stay was very good, overall. Minor issues included, the room TV which 3 times went dead and read "no signal" - I had to call for the maintenance man to fix it. The computer in the lobby froze a number of times during our 5 night stay - someone at the front desk had to fix it. The caps in the room for the coffee are too big and don't fit.

Nice rooms, I had an issue with an extra car parking fee at 35$ a night. Front desk staff was nice. Back bar was a bit dirty feeling and you could smell the restaurants grease trap as well as wait a while to even order a drink and it wasn’t busy at all.

When checking in on 04/13/24 around 6pm the gentleman that stated he was the assistant manager was not polite or professional. He was not helpful in familiarizing us at all with the property. He did not address my wife and I nor look up at us for some time. I asked for a bell cart & he said that Valet would provide one as he doesn’t do that. When I went back to valet, they said they do not provide bell carts & that we would need to go back to front desk & rushed my wife & I out with all of our luggage from the vehicle without a bell cart which was very overwhelming and stressful. It was a horrible first impression. Additionally, the same assistant manager provided us with the wrong code to get into the property gate. We were stuck outside at the beach area around 8pm for about 20 minutes until we finally got someone’s attention to help us to get in. I brought everything to the assistant managers anttention & he did not care or show any concern and was non apologetic. I asked for the manager so I can share my bad experience and he said he’s the only manager. However Fernando up front was very pleasant. Fernando also helped familiarize us with the property and providing a map and recommended restaurants etc. The lobby and 7th floor tile floors were always very dirty and sticky even though I asked for it to be cleaned. Valet kept closing out our account so we were delayed & always having to make a new account. There were holes in the pillow cases.

In my opinion,this property is safe Family Friendly, beautiful; many amenities, activities ( Jet ski, Yoga and its right on the beach) the Front Desk staff (Arad), just were professional, knowledgeable, polite, and just nice. Great place to stay, and everything is within walking distance. And the Restaurant staff are amazing, great food and service.

My partner and I stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Marriot for our anniversary over the weekend. When we booked the hotel we did not know the pool was under construction as the site did not show that. Once we arrived the front desk staff was REALLY nice, we even became marriot members. We were offered complimentary drinks which was really nice. The gentleman at the bar on the beach was really nice too. The gentleman that helps you with the beach chairs was ok. We would stay again once the pool is ready.

The hotel is beautiful and the location o. The beach was perfect. Overall stay was great, but the o my complaint I had was the food. There are not really options to eat within walking g distance, so we had to eat at the restaurant on the property. I tried several thing’s appetizers, the bbq they had , and breakfast …none of it was good. My family joked how could they mess up breakfast, but they did. All the food was greasy or cold , and sometimes both. I would stay here again , but I would pack a cooler of food.

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Beach area very well maintained pool area was nice as well, but showing some age. Our king room was very nice with balcony that had partial view of beautiful beach. The exterior hallway rug had an offensive odor. Other than that our stay was great Easy walking to shops and restaurants

The property just had a remodel and it was besutiful. Did not like a $100 parking charge for one night. I was told upon checkout our vehicle a dodge ram pick up truck took 2 spaces. Really? We used the same truck last year and it was fine. Also the food is a bit overpriced. Probably will not go back.

Customer service was quite good. I'd come back but all the added fees certainly turned me off. (parking $34 a day!!) .. Restaurant was pretty but drinks again quite expensive.
