Excellent team and facilities, always enjoyed staying at Dao.

It was amazing weekend. Spent some time in spa, then had awesome dinner with amazing view. Breakfast was delicious.

Room 504 leaky shower & wonky toilet seat. Good facilities in apartments

We had previously stayed here as the price is good as well as a nice location. But this time around, it seems like all service levels had dropped quite a bit. Our room had no windows that could open...and the air conditioning unit reset itself every time we tried to adjust fan speed etc. On two occasions we had to ask housekeeping for toilet paper as they had not replenished them even though we were empty. Sometimes we got two towels and two smaller towels, other days we got a different combination all together. There was no plastic bags in the thrash cans either... The breakfast was not great. Often cold and just poor quality on the cooking. Does the cooks not care what they put out...?? And the front main door that is closed, have been closed for two years now...how hard is it to fix the goddamn front door...?!?! Even though this hotel is on the cheaper side for London, it is still not worth the money in my opinion. There are plenty of other options.

Nice location. Would be great if the cafe was open more hours. Terrace room was very nice.

Personnel is trained as a super luxury hotel. great bar and breakfast. while you have nearby restaurants, there is no dining in the hotel except at the bar and room service. Great bar food and salads. restaurant,,,,they serve room service and bar service

Arrived at 1515. Room not ready although check in said to be from 1500. Told it would be 20 mins. Given drink voucher (only cheap beer wine or water). Told someone would call us when room ready. They didn't. Ordered a cocktail. Told it would be 15 mins. It took over half an hour. Had to get barman to get more help to achieve that. Had to ask about room after an hour. Freezer door left open and all iced up. Went for happy hour. Cocktails watered down. Charged full rate. On check out attempted theft by charging for drinks already paid for at time and full rate for happy hour. Claimed this was "a system failure". No admission of the fact that humans input the data in the first place. Grudging apology at best.

I really enjoyed my stay with Dao. The staff was extremely helpful, and my room was lovely. I especially appreciated the onsite laundry service, which was easy to use and included detergent.

The location of the hotel is quite good. The staffs are friendly. The laundry machines and the driers in the basement are well-designed and serves the hotel guests needs. Somehow, there is no pot, cooker and other necessaries to complement the kitchen facilities within the room, otherwise it will be perfect. The communication effectiveness with the housekeeping staffs can be further imrproved.

Friendly stuff on the door and the desk, room was tidy until went to move the in room sofa to find food and rubbish under it Wi-Fi signal is poor in parts of the hotel and area around the hotel is ok but need to be alert

Third time staying at this hotel. Very convenient location. Not too crowded. Clean

The room had a very unpleasant smell, something akin to a gym locker room that had not been used for a while, very musty. I think probably emanating from the bathroom. The situation exacerbated by the lack of effective ventilation and no opening windows. I complained to the front desk who said they would investigate, and I requested a change of room. I had to go out at that point and when I returned there was new staff in place who were unaware of my query and the hotel had no option to switch room.

The room had extras for accommodation. The shower did have a smell of mold. We told the front and they apologize. The beds are stiff and pillows too.

For a lovely looking hotel, my stay was disappointing. It started with check in where they initially didn't have a record that I also booked breakfast. I provided them with my confirmation which showed that I had selected and paid for breakfast and after investigating from their end they acknowledged that this was the case and resolved the issue on their records. When we went to our apartment, the room had a strong smell of cigarettes and it was clear that whoever stayed in the apartment beforehand was smoking in the room. As a none smoker with a child, staying in this room was not an option so I reported this to the reception and the Manager Victoria was amazing and came to the room and moved me to another apartment that was bigger than the one we were initially in. When it came to going to bed, I was horrified when I pulled back the sheets. There were noticeable blood stains and other stains on the inside of the covers and also some on the outside of the covers on closer inspection. Again I called reception and the Manager Victoria arranged for house keeping to come and change the bedding which they did promptly. Breakfast was okay but I had to bring to the attention of the staff dirty plates and cutlery that was amongst the clean ones. Finally the floor to the corridor where we was staying was not very clean and could have done with being swept up. It was disappointing overall for somewhere that has a lot of potential. I wouldn't stay again.

The hotel not only is stunning on the inside, but you can tell they take very good care of their rooms. The entire place was spotless. They had little extra touches in the room that just go above and beyond other hotels. Staff was so friendly upon entering and we even got to check into our room at 10am, which was a wonderful treat after flying all night. 10/10 would recommend this hotel again!

I have stayed in the hotel part of this several times but this is my first time in the studio part. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. Nice even for just one night.

My stay was wonderful, the staff were helpful and provided exemplary customer service. The decor of the hotel and the apartment rooms is stunning, very luxurious. This is truly a hidden gem, a peaceful luxury retreat.

Overall a good stay, loved the room Only issue that me and my boyfriend experienced was no smart tv or chrome cast. The room was advertised to have a smart tv but there were only regular channels. Was disappointing as we couldn’t watch movies or play any white noise :(

The hotel was well located for our purposes as we were coming over LHR and had some activities around Kensington. Unfortunately we had an issue with the room which has been warm, stuffy and somehow not good smelling. As we know now, it is not allowed to have windows to be opened in London hotels. We applied with our issue at the reception daily and they were trying to help with technical support and so but finally nothing changed. The bad smell came out of the bath room where there was no air suction in work. As we have been a lot under way we did not change the room, also hoping that somehow things may change over our 4-day stay. We also had asked for glutenfree breakfast in advance and the reply was „we will take care about you“. I will not bother you with details but can say the glutenfree food is not in Daos mind and the breakfast was the poorest I have had in hotels so far. Sortiment and quality. I feel sorry for that, but will not book any Dao for us personnally.

I like the hotel a lot. The internet in the Dao by Dorsett tends to disconnect when not actively in use. That seems to be the only thing I don’t like. Other than that, I totally love the hotel and would stay here again

Very good, nice, spacious room

Stayed in standard studio flat. Nice, clean and modern. Friendly and professional staff. 5 mins walk to Westfield shopping centre.

We enjoyed our stay there overall but there were two problems. The wifi network disconnects devices after only a few minutes of inactivity. This makes it difficult to work, as incoming messages/emails don't arrive. We were very frustrated by this trait. A secondary problem was the room was too hot at night, despite our turning the thermostat down to its minimum of 19 degrees. We could not get the room cooler than that. We ended up sleeping on top of the bed covers.

Service - The hotel is understaffed so it takes an eon to get through to the front desk and long wait times if you go in person. I wanted to change my initial room because it was next to the elevator and too noisy for me. Staff and management told me the hotel was fully booked. Eventually I had my room changed but I later checked both Expedia and the hotel’s own website - plenty of free rooms were available for booking. Room service - for the apartment rooms, if you are staying less than one week, you have to request housekeeping. Nevertheless at 3.40pm on my second day I requested my room was cleaned. At 9.30pm when I returned I discovered it had not been cleaned. It was eventually done after a second request by 10.15pm. Noise - in my new room I heard hammering all afternoon. I mentioned this to reception and was told they would investigate but that there was no construction work in the hotel (this was a surprise to me as I literally bumped into a worksman with building materials in the lift. Anyway, later that evening (at 10pm) just as I was trying to get to sleep the hammering started again. I called reception and was told that the work was going on in the restaurant and that they would put a stop to it. The noise did stop. On Saturday afternoon as I was sitting foyer the hammering started again. Room - tiny bathroom/no bath. Shower had very low pressure. Bizarre/uncomfortable furniture. No table or dining chairs despite having a kitchenette. Uncomfortable bed.

Girl on the front desk was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. Told her my name and that I was here to check in, but wasn’t acknowledged, so repeated myself. Then asked me if I was at the right desk, I confirmed. Repeated my name. She then said “what’s your name” so I told her again, to which she said “what’s your first name only”. Then after finding my booking pronounced my name wrong. At this point she made a phone call, unrelated to my booking. I wanted to ask some questions and book in for dinner and breakfast. However she didn’t get off the phone, only passed me my room key while still on the phone. The room was grubby, dirty finger marks on the bathroom door, both sides. The actual handle was sticky and greasy. The metal shelves in the oven were grimy and covered in food still. Shelf in the wardrobe was dirty and dusty. There was a hair and a dead spider in my bedding. Overall was just dirty. My room key stopped working, so had to go back to reception, and queued for 20 mins to get to speak to someone. Very understaffed and slow. Bed was comfortable though, and TV is a good size. However doesn’t have smart apps for streaming. Would I return? Despite being in the area a lot, no I wouldn’t, I shall go back to my usual hotel.

Check in and check out were seamless and easy. Viraj at the front desk was always helpful and friendly. I have been a Dorsett client since 2014 and it is always my preferred stay in London.

Very walkable area with the Dao being the best hotel in the Shepherd Bush community. Great shopping with the Westfield Mall being only a 5 minute walk. We were moved to another room because the first room AC went out. Hotel staff promptly moved us to a comfy room with great AC.

I'll be raising a charge back on this stay as well I didn't stay. On arrival it became apparent they didn't have a room that was accessible by stairs, something I had requested. They attempted to move me to the main hotel however the room had stains and didn't meet my required needs. Despite being told I wouldn't be charged, after days of the payment being pending I was charged in full for a room I spent 30 seconds in. The keya were returned on Friday at 4pm but no one at the hotel keeps their word. Avoid at all costs if you want real 4 star service

I would like to extend a special thank you to the staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The front desk was friendly, helpful with my languages( I was need a special help), engineering staff was prompt to check my oven in the room. I highly recommend Dao by Dorsett to anyone visiting West area of London or need to stay close to Heathrow airport and on the same time close to centre of city. The hotel is truly exceptional, and I will definitely be returning again in the future

The hotel is located in a very convenient location in Shepherds Bush area. Bus stop is directly outside of the hotel for added convenience of getting around London. The Westfield mall is within walking distance.

Beautifully decorated and a two minute walk from the O2! The area is a tiny bit dodgy. There were a group of individuals sitting outside the building next door for most of the day who seemed to be on drugs and were covered in blood.

Great value for money. The area has quite an urban edge with an incredible selection of places to eat. Best shopping with Westfield on the doorstep!

Dao by Dorsett is a very well-appointed hotel in a location that has lots of amenities and is easy to get to by tube. It's in a lively neighbourhood that is easily accessible to both attractions and Heathrow.

The room is quite spacious and clean, and the location is close to bus stop and underground station. Westfield shopping center is just few minutes walking distance. But the breakfast was such a disaster, very narrow aisles between tables, not enough staff and food to be served during peak hours, everyone was suffering including the staff. It was a terrible service I have to say. I never experienced such a situation in a 4 star hotel/apartment with about £200 nightly rate. In general, it’s not worth the money.

Lovely hotel, upgraded for free to a suite - the only thing that wasn’t great was the temperature of breakfast, could have been hotter but was lovely

Lovely modern hotel, ideal for concerts or shows at the Shepherds Bush empire. However we chose to have lunch at the hotel restaurant, big mistake. Poor food hugely overpriced. Would stay again but eat elsewhere.
