Hotel was in a great location, however the photo of the "family" room on Hotels.com and the London House Hotel website was VERY misleading. The room in the photo looks large and like four people could move around and sleep comfortably. This is false, the room is tiny and you are tripping over each other to get to anything in the room even to the miniscule bathroom. That was very disappointing.

The room was OK except the basement air conditioning was not working during our entire stay. It was in the low 80s and humid and for some reason the basement got very hot at night. We would open the window when we got back in the room for the evening but could only leave it open until we went to sleep because someone from outside could access the room. So, we would sweat and be hot for a few hours. The room would finally cool down enough to comfortably sleep by 2-3am. All the front desk could offer was a fan and said that the AC unit that cools the basement level was waiting on parts for repair. One person in our party could not sleep with a fan on them. No offer to move us to a room where the air conditioning was working and they refused us any type of discount for providing us a room that didn't provide AC which was advertised on their website. To top it off when we checked out, we asked them to arrange a cab to pick us up, and they said that they didn't do that. They would only call a private car service that they worked with. Two people working the front desk literally watched me get on my phone and figure out how to make arrangements for a ride to Paddington Station. The facility is nice, the beds were comfortable and it is very convenient to restaurants and the Tube, but I was perplexed by the customer service as literally everywhere else we stayed over two weeks was very friendly and helpful.

Nice cozy place to stay. Our room needed some work - tiles cracked in the shower, sink cracked, paint peeling in places but it was clean. The location was easy to walk to places to eat, public transportation, and places to shop.

Stayed 4 nights

Had two double rooms for 4 nights in August 2026 with my wife and two kids, 13 and 10. Me and my son had room 316, which was very nice. Room was fresh and clean and everything, including air condition, was functioning properly. Daily cleaning/beds made and change of towels. The room had an odd layout (see pictures), but this only turned out to give a feeling of a bigger room so all good. My wife and daughter stayed in room 307. This room didn’t have a functioning air condition and for some reason the bathroom was always way too hot. The refrigerator didn’t work upon arrival but was fixed when we told the staff. This room had a more traditional layout with beds beside each other, so it gave the feeling of a smaller room. Both rooms had very small tables/places to put our stuff on, so we had to keep the majority of stuff in our bags or on the floor. The location of the hotel is spot on! Only a 2 minute walk to loads of bakeries for breakfast, restaurants for lunch/dinner and grocery stores and classic London souvenir shops. Bayswater and Queensway tube stations within short walking distance, Paddington station just a little bit further away. I would recommend this place and would stay here again, if I was guaranteed a room with functioning AC.
