Hotel was convenient to many of the sites we went to in London. The only negative was a wedding held on a Saturday night with a very loud band which shook our room until midnight. If we visit London again we will be back at the hotel.

Superb hotel with wonderful staff and beautiful architecture, rooms are spacious with lovley appliances. The Fitz bar has tge most gorgeous cocktails, also ate twice in the brasserie and both times were delightful, especially the sunday roast. Highly recommend and will return for sure.

The fire alarm went of 3 times at about 9:30pm for a few seconds at a time. We called the front desk and they said it was a test. I doubt it was actually for a test, but if it was, probably shouldn’t do a test that late. Other than that, we loved the social hour, dinner, and cocktail lounge!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We walked all over but there is convenient access to the tube if needed. We loved the happy hour for guests upon our arrival (5-6pm daily).

Had a great stay here. Hotel common areas are beautiful and the amenities are great. Loved the large gym with peloton bikes. Hotel is in a good location close to the British museum and multiple tube stations. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful especially Sean and Krasi at the concierge desk. Our room was a bit small but was nice and had a nice shower, I’m sure as your budget increases the rooms get larger. Free bottled water and snacks were appreciated and the housekeeping staff did a great job with our room everyday. The hotel puts on a complimentary drink hour every day in the evening which was a nice touch and the restaurants on site were great. The cocktails at fitz bar and food at galvin were awesome, had great service there as well!

This is our 3rd or 4th stay at the hotel and it never disappoints. The features in the lobby and communal areas are grand and characterful and the rooms are modern and contain everything you need. We went for a standard room this time, which while on the small side, the bathroom was lovely and spacious. Amazing shower, Comfy beds and pitch black rooms at night for a great sleep. Breakfast is also delicious with lots of choice and great quality. The hotel recognised our wedding anniversary with a gift in the room and a complimentary drink in the bar. Thank you for another great stay!

Dear Management, I am writing to express my concerns regarding my recent stay in Room 5** at your hotel from December 28, 2023, to January 2, 2024. We chose your establishment primarily for its reputation for cleanliness and particularly for the high standards of linen maintenance. However, during our 5-night stay, it appeared that the bedding in our room was never changed. We noticed the same marks on the bed linen from our first night persisting until our departure, which suggests that the linens might have been merely tidied up rather than changed. Is it the policy of your hotel not to change the bed linen during a 5-night stay? My wife is particularly sensitive to bedding cleanliness, and this aspect is crucial for us when selecting a hotel. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the management of linen during our stay. I look forward to your response on this matter. Sincerely, JJ . Rooms are very small, even by European standards. Bathroom was so tiny that there was no place to plug in a hair dryer, no counter space. Common areas downstairs were nice, but there was trash, leftover dishes in hallways every day of our four night stay. Would not stay here again.

The hotel advertised as 5 star property. But honestly i had better treatment in 3 stars hotels than what i did have in this hotel unfortunately. Starting with check in no one greeted me at the door or offered to help me with my luggage. Then at the counter the staff were uninterested and rude. One girl at the reception was so patronizing and made me feel bad for simply asking her about room service. No one explained to me the facilities or the breakfast options upon check in. And then my heater at the room wasn’t working i slept in a freezing cold room even after bringing that up to the staff who just shrugged it off, it was only fixed the next day when the staff changed. The coffee mug in my room was dirty full of dust and hair. I felt generally uncomfortable during my stay, it should not have been this way for the value i paid. The only positives are the concierges, both were kind and helpful gentlemen. The esthetic of the lobby and the manager on my check out which was apologetic, professional and promised to look into this situation.

Truly did SO MUCH research in our first time to London visiting from the States. Debated between many hotels and ultimately chose this one for vibe accessibility. We wanted something that felt like England (not just another copycat hotel) but wasn't the super boutique pricing either. This was perfect! It's in a BEAUTIFUL building inside and out and felt very special. We got best of both worlds here, with the old English feeling of the building, but with modern rooms. The bathrooms are HUGE and staff was accommodating. Beautiful cafe attached to grab coffee every morning, a park across the street, easy access to tube and the bar was a fun vibe (although expensive.) Really happy with our stay and so glad we ended up here.

Nice hotel but my room was very noisy all night from some pipe outside the window. It was like sleeping in a noisy factory with that sound.- so it was absolutely not worth the money spend on a good room on 7th floor. And the reception staff did not bother when I told them about the noisy room.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and this was the only time I have been disappointed, and boy was I disappointed. Our room on the 8th floor was tiny, dark, and hot. There were only two super small windows with inaccessible blinds placed so far up on the walls they couldn’t be changed. The bed seemed to be broken and it felt like sleeping on the top edge of a hole that was threatening to suck you in all night. The temperature was not adjustable, so it was far too warm. The shower pressure was so weak that it was ridiculous. All in all this stay was nothing like those I’ve enjoyed in the past. I really don’t know if I will ever stay here again.

Great 3 day stay at the Kimpton Fitzroy - Russell Square. Lovely hotel, we ate in Fitz and the meal was very nice, wine a bit pricey. We had a premium room overlooking the park. The rooms are not that big and the bathroom is also quite small. We had a problem with our shower but it was fixed very quickly. Staff all very pleasant and quick to help. Great stay and would stay again.

You would expect a little more from a 5 star hotel but the check-in process is not very welcoming… we are a family of 3 with a small child plus two big luggages… when we arrived, no one offer a hand to move the luggages up the staircase to the main reception area… in fact, no one is there… so we have to move the heavy suitcases ourselves… the check in is relatively quick but the staff is cold… so it’s quite unpleasant to begin with… we decided to have dinner at the Fitz’s but the table they check us into is not clean and ended up staining the kid’s short and the food is very slow to come… so other than the location there is not much to like about this hotel…

We were disappointed that the beautiful exterior did not match the service nor the stay internally. - upon checkin, we were told we would “have priority” for housekeeping and they would call us. At 3pm, we checked in, and our keys were obviously ready but no one had called after a long unshowered day of trying to stay awake waiting. - the temperature in the room was either freezing or melting, no in between - pillows were TERRIBLE and the bed sheets were made without a sheet and short sheeted so you could never be fully covered - the bar “the Fitz” was inaccessible to hotel guests without a reservation. Fine, but upon check-in it would have been nice for someone to say they have private events in every room and could they help us make an rsvp for our own hotel! It was as to come back to a beautiful lobby and be told they could not accommodate any guests for a night cap. Just a very unfriendly vibe like you were an outsider and not a guest the whole time.

Marco at the concierge desk was so helpful helping me figure out how to swim at the Olympic pool. The doormen were great, hailing us cabs in the rain. The concierge desk also recommended a place for my daughter to get a haircut. We spent some time in front of the fire in the lobby as well...such a cozy spot!

I booked two rooms for 2 days each. Paid for both rooms in full through Expedia months prior. The hotel stay was perfect as well as the staff. When I returned home I noticed the hotel charged me 1,760 for vat and hotel taxes. On Friday I called the hotel to straighten out the charges, and they said they would get back to me later that day. No calls were returned and the charges have not been reversed.

The Kimpton Fitzroy was Fabulous inside and out! It was luxurious and opulent. The location was perfect and in walking distance of many tourist attractions. We were allowed to check in early and were upgraded to a beautiful suite as it was a special occasion. Doreen on reception couldn’t have been nicer. We were given a complimentary cheese board and a ballon! We were so touched. All the staff we encountered were extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, served in a beautiful warm and welcoming atmosphere. We can’t praise the hotel and staff highly enough! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return.(probably around Christmas!) Thank you All!x

Wonderful! From the moment that we arrived, the Fitzroy exceeded all of our expectations. Front desk staff and doorman were helpful and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and impeccably kept by the housekeeping crew. Breakfast service staff were courteous and attentive. Definitely visit the restaurant for breakfast, you will not find a more friendly and helpful food service team. Will definitely visit again!

A very pleasant stay overall. The hotel is stylish, clean, and well maintained, with staff who were consistently helpful and welcoming. Across from a lovely park, 2 blocks from British Museum, 4 blocks from Oxford Street shopping, next to a Tube stop, and a first class, gorgeous hotel. Make sure to include the breakfast - the buffet is fabulous. You will eat well, skip lunch and save money.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, it is very central to all points of interest in London and right next to the Piccadilly lly line on the London metro system also called the underground ( the best and quickest way to get around London ). The hotel is beautiful

Beautiful hotel, did my partner a little birthday dessert and delivered to the room which was a lovely touch, comfy bed, room was ready early which was brilliant! However breakfast was a bit chaotic, we had to wait in a separate room that didn’t even have any cups for a cup of coffee, when we finally got into breakfast the poor staff were run ragged and visibly stressed, there was nothing left in the buffet forcing us to order from the menu which was an extra charge per person (which we thought was a bit off as when we’ve stayed at 5* hotels that include breakfast, all breakfast is actually included with no hidden costs), breakfast was very tasty, however my partner didn’t receive his order and as we were in a rush we did leave without it, they did apologise profusely and give us a bottle of wine to make up for it which we really appreciated. All in all a lovely stay, beautiful hotel and kind, friendly staff but breakfast really needs looking into. Also we think fitz bar should be open slightly earlier so you can go in for a nice lunch time drink!

Most of the staff at this hotel are top notch and it's a gorgeous property. But my mornings were miserable. There is supposed to be a coffee shop along with the main breakfast served in the restaurant. On two of the days the cafe was closed and was directed to coffee being served in the bar. On both those days when I entered the room and found the coffee pitcher empty, when I asked for it to be refilled the staff treated my request like I was asking for them for a great important favor that I didn't deserve. Final morning, I decided to try the main restaurant and all the hot items on the buffet were cold, and the service was terrible. Recommend the hotel but just go off property for coffee and breakfast.
